Meng Hao

Meng Hao is a poor scholar carried from mortal uncertainty into the ruthless world of cultivation. He survives through determination, improvised commerce, careful deception, and an unwillingness to surrender his dignity. His pursuit of a self-chosen path carries him from Reliance Sect servant and Pill Demon’s Legacy Apprentice to the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer, Transcendent Demon Sovereign, and restorer of the Mountain and Sea Realm.

Biography

Scholar and servant

Meng Hao begins as an impoverished Yunjie County scholar who has failed the Imperial examinations three times. While trying to rescue Wang Youcai, he is abducted by Xu Qing and sent to the Reliance Sect. He treats cultivation as a new path to security, reaches the first level after four months, and enters the Outer Sect. (Chapters 1–3)

At the Treasure Pavilion he receives a corroded copper mirror. He discovers that it attacks furred creatures and duplicates objects by consuming Spirit Stones. After Zhao Wugang forces a confrontation, Meng Hao kills for the first time, takes the dead cultivator's resources, and uses duplicated Demonic Essences to advance. (Chapters 4–9)

Merchant of the Outer Sect

Meng Hao turns an unwanted Dry Spirit Pill into Xu Qing's protection, an Immortal's Cave, and access to a Spirit Spring. He later opens a battlefield medicine outlet beside the Public Zone, using salesmanship and force to accumulate resources while reducing deaths. His success brings conflict with Cao Yang and Lu Hong; Meng Hao defeats Lu Hong and takes a gourd connected to Wang Tengfei. (Chapters 5 and 11–15)

Wang Tengfei publicly humiliates him and nearly cripples him. Saved by Grand Elder Ouyang, Meng Hao vows to rely on himself and preserves his bloodied fingernails as a reminder. (Chapters 16–18)

Black Mountain and Inner Sect

When Li Fugui receives another Dry Spirit Pill, Meng Hao takes it and leads Yin Tianlong, Zhou Kai, and other pursuers into the Black Mountain. He survives by provoking demonic beasts with the copper mirror, duplicates the pill, and reaches the fifth level. During Wang Tengfei's attack on a demonic python, he takes the ancient wooden sword, Spirit Stones, and Winged Rain-Dragon Core that Wang had sought for years. Consuming the Core advances him to the sixth level and grants Wind Blade and legacy insight. (Chapters 19–26)

Shangguan Xiu detects evidence of Meng Hao's rapid growth and pursues him, forcing Meng Hao and Li Fugui into the Inner Sect promotion tournament. Meng Hao kills Han Zong, battles Wang Tengfei, destroys his finger with the stolen wooden sword, and defeats him with the power of the Flying Rain-Dragon Core. He Luohua declares Meng Hao the third Inner Sect disciple. (Chapters 27–33)

Patriarch Reliance's heir

As an Inner Sect disciple, Meng Hao studies wider cultivation knowledge, gives Wang's former cave to Li Fugui, and shares a quiet evening with Xu Qing. He enters Patriarch Reliance's meditation zone with Xu Qing and Chen Fan, duplicates Vorpal Jade Blood Crystals, and gains enlightenment of the true Qi Condensation Manual. When outside experts dissolve the sect, Patriarch Reliance protects Meng Hao and names him the sole heir. (Chapters 34–43)

Return to the mortal world and treasure mountain

Crossing the North Sea transforms Meng Hao's Core Lake into a Core Sea and advances him to the seventh level. He revisits Yunjie County, reassures the families of his missing companions, and resolves a threat against Li Fugui's household. Shangguan Xiu intercepts him at Mount Daqing, but Meng Hao escapes through the State Shield Mountains and enters Eccentric Song's Spirit Beast trial. By disguising the copper mirror behind an ordinary iron spear, he passes the beasts, climbs the treasure mountain, and takes a vast harvest including the Bag of the Cosmos. (Chapters 44–52)

At Eastern Refinement City, cultivators mistake the iron spear for a supreme treasure. Meng Hao allows two Violet Fate Sect disciples to bid against each other, receiving thousands of Spirit Stones and powerful items for the ordinary weapon. After secluded cultivation he reaches the eighth level. (Chapters 53–58)

Death Qi and the North Sea battle

At the Tower of Tang, Meng Hao glimpses a corpse in an invisible vortex and is afflicted by Death Qi. Multiple sect groups pursue him through the State of Zhao. He kills attackers with the Hellfighting Spike, survives lightning, sword, arrow, and Cold Wind attacks, and uses a silver spear decoy to turn his enemies against one another. (Chapters 59–64)

At the North Sea, Ding Yan's Violet Qi nearly kills him, but the sea heals and strengthens him. Meng Hao reverses the chase, drains Ding Yan with the wooden sword, and beheads him. He later disguises himself as Young Lord Ding, duplicates Ding Yan's Foundation Establishment Pill, sells it for 250,000 Spirit Stones, and reaches the ninth level. (Chapters 65–70)

Final battle with Shangguan Xiu

Meng Hao encounters Little Tiger, learns Shangguan Xiu is draining three counties, and returns to Mount Daqing despite the trap. He poisons Shangguan Xiu, destroys his arm, and counters his magic with a Flying Rain-Dragon sword formation. Little Tiger's pearl temporarily raises Meng Hao to the tenth level, enabling him to kill Shangguan Xiu. Meng Hao returns the life-linked pearl rather than steal it and destroys the blood spell threatening the mortals. (Chapters 71–76)

Patriarch's cave and thirteenth level

Lord Revelation and the three sects capture and poison Meng Hao, forcing him to open Patriarch Reliance's cave. Meng Hao bluffs for Spirit Stones and the right to kill Liu Daoyun, then uses that death to demand an antidote. Inside the cave, he watches Patriarch Reliance consume the invaders. (Chapters 77–83)

When the Patriarch refuses a prompt cure and gives a miserly reward, Meng Hao plunders his sealed wealth with the Bag of the Cosmos. He takes the Demon Sealing Jade, absorbs the demonic lamps' power, and ruthlessly forces himself through the tenth, eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth levels of Qi Condensation. This completes the Great Circle and improves his latent talent. (Chapters 84–88)

Ninth Demon Sealer

Meng Hao returns to the North Sea and begins studying the Demon Sealing mnemonic. Trapped by the Cold Wind Sect, he kills pursuing disciples and uses Lord Revelation's captured Nascent Soul lamp to destroy a Foundation Establishment elder. Lord Revelation's true self nearly crushes him, but a blood-red Demon Lord clone severs the attack. (Chapters 89–93)

Patriarch Reliance then reveals his colossal turtle form beneath the entire State of Zhao and swallows Lord Revelation. When he threatens to “reward” Meng Hao, Meng Hao invokes the Demon Sealing Jade. The mark identifies him as the ninth Demon Sealer and compels the Patriarch to become his Dao protector. Reliance casts him safely away, and Meng Hao sets out alone for the Southern Domain. (Chapters 94–95)

Foundation Establishment and the Eighth Hex

Meng Hao finds a spiritually rich valley and spends two years establishing his Foundation. His first Dao Pillar is briefly Perfect before an invisible heavenly blade cracks it, leaving him with a Flawless Foundation. Exploring the valley's ancient cave, he receives the Eighth Demon Sealing Hex from the Eighth Generation Demon Sealer. (Chapters 96–104)

In Eastern Greatness City he learns that his poison is a defective Resurrection Lily. He outbids Chu Yuyan for Spring and Autumn wood, fights her, and is swept with her into a sealed volcanic abyss. Their hostile confinement becomes an alchemical bargain: she prepares the pills he needs while he promises to take her safely out. (Chapters 105–119)

Blood Immortal Legacy

Meng Hao opens the eighth Blood Immortal Legacy tournament and creates the Blood Mastiff. Man and dog grow through the matrixes together, learning control, killing intent, and sealing. When the mastiff sacrifices itself in the sixth matrix, Meng Hao consumes Chu Yuyan's completed Perfect Foundation Pill, returns for it, and becomes the destined Legacy successor. (Chapters 120–132)

He defeats Li Daoyi, secures the Legacy mask for the mastiff, and escapes the collapsing zone. Heavenly Tribulation follows his Perfect Foundation, but an ancient Wang Clan figure intervenes and leaves him the lightning-refining Thunder Flag. Meng Hao then keeps his promise to carry Chu Yuyan out of the volcano. (Chapters 133–139)

Black Sieve Sect

Disguised as a rogue cultivator, Meng Hao joins the Black Sieve Sect's expedition into the Blessed Land of the Black Sieve. He reunites with Xu Qing, navigates possession plots and ancient corpses, gains the good luck charm, and unleashes the newly transformed meat jelly. When the sect's scheme threatens Xu Qing, he uses the Eighth Hex and escaping spirits to break the formation and flee with her. (Chapters 140–170)

After separating from Xu Qing, Meng Hao integrates the Blood Immortal arts, reaches four Perfect Dao Pillars, and travels to the Solitary Sword Sect as Chen Fan's guest. He wins a rigged arena wager through overwhelming force before joining the Song Clan gathering. (Chapters 171–186)

Number one in Foundation Establishment

At the Song Clan, Meng Hao faces old enemies and allies, decisively defeats Wang Tengfei, and enters the World Tree trial. His Perfect Foundation suppresses every competitor. At the summit the Sublime Spirit Scripture manifests, and rather than accept one of nine preset paths, he creates a tenth path of his own. The Southern Domain recognizes him as its foremost Foundation Establishment cultivator. (Chapters 187–199)

Meng Hao teleports away and ambushes his Black Sieve pursuers. In a final peak battle with Zhou Jie, he combines the Blood Immortal arts, Perfect Foundation, and Eighth Demon Sealing Hex. He expels and destroys the nine discarnate souls possessing Zhou Jie, confirming his identity as the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer. (Chapters 200–204)

Fang Mu and the East Pill Division

Unable to remove the Resurrection Lily, Meng Hao accepts Shui Dongliu’s seal and infiltrates the Violet Fate Sect as the youthful Fang Mu. His plant knowledge, catalysis, and determination carry him from apprentice to master alchemist. With Bai Yunlai managing commissions, his unusually potent pills make him famous throughout the Violet Qi Division. (Chapters 205–225)

He defends Bai Yunlai with the Pill Blacklist, forms a sixth Perfect Dao Pillar, and enters alchemic enlightenment to create the Bedevilment Pill. Its auction gives its anonymous creator the title Grandmaster Pill Cauldron. After defeating Li Fugui’s teeth with an indestructible, painfully spicy pill, Meng Hao is promoted directly to Furnace Lord and cultivates Violet Qi from the East. (Chapters 226–241)

Alchemy, battle, and ten Perfect Dao Pillars

As a Furnace Lord, Meng Hao defeats the World Pill Division’s Chen Jiaxi in debate, plant variation, pill identification, and poison diagnosis. At the Black Sieve Sect he uses Demon Sealer blood in Soul Refining Pills to restore possessed disciples and protect Xu Qing from Matriarch Phoenix. (Chapters 242–259)

Ambushed while travelling, he kills twenty-seven attackers and survives his first fight with a Core Formation cultivator. Near an ancient Dao Geyser he forms his seventh and eighth Perfect Dao Pillars, creates a Wooden Time Sword and five Blood Clones, and fights as the Faceless Azure Hero. His rematch with the Core Formation cultivator Yang produces the battle enlightenment for a ninth and then unprecedented tenth Perfect Dao Pillar; Meng Hao kills Yang and escapes under the protection of his Furnace Lord identity. (Chapters 260–275)

Legacy Apprentice and Core Formation

Summoned to the Violet Furnace Lord trial, Meng Hao captures the Mother of Furnaces’ sovereign black furnace, creates something from nothing in pill refinement, and completes a lifetime illusion without surrendering his own path. A thousand consummate pills reveal him as Pill Cauldron. Grandmaster Pill Demon promotes him to Violet Furnace Lord, accepts him as Legacy Apprentice, and transmits the East Pill Everburning Flame and complete core legacy. (Chapters 276–294)

At the Rebirth Cave, Meng Hao receives Choumen Tai’s three boons and forms a Violet Core from his ten melting Dao Pillars. He kills Li Daoyi and Ji Hongdong to protect himself and Xu Qing, exposing Fang Mu as Meng Hao. Pursued by suppressed Nascent Soul elders, he consumes his Bedevilment Pill and burns cultivation and longevity until the Blood Mastiff and the woman in the Rebirth Cave save him. (Chapters 295–313)

Perfect Gold Core and the Black Lands

Meng Hao recovers in the Black Lands, awakens the Parrot, and establishes the Church of the Golden Light. He concocts and consumes a Perfect Gold Core Pill, forms a Perfect Gold Core and Perfect Immortal Body, subdues Patriarch Big-head, and takes Dongluo City. At Holy Snow City he combines alchemy, Dragoneer arts, and Demon Sealing, receives the Agarwood legacy, bonds the Eyeless Larva, and survives late-Gold-Core Tribulation. (Chapters 314–388)

Crow Divinity Tribes

Disguised as a Western Desert cultivator, Meng Hao enters the Crow Scout Tribe, raises extraordinary neo-demons, and brands the Greenwood Tree as the first totem for a Five-Colored Nascent Soul. He unites the Five Tribes as their migration's Grand Dragoneer, defeats Ji Clan interference, and leads the Crow Divinity forces through famine, war, and the Violet Sea. His Blood Clone and Devil Spear become central battlefield weapons. (Chapters 389–523)

Huyan and the Demon Immortal Sect

After conflict with Huyan Qing draws a Spirit Severing vendetta, Meng Hao battles Patriarch Huyan's clone and true self and returns victorious to the Black Lands. He then enters the Primordial Demon Immortal Plane, inherits Ke Jiusi's identity, and experiences Ke Yunhai's love as a son. Across the later planes he accumulates ancient legacies, reaches a ninth and Demon Nascent Soul, and continues seeking a path toward Spirit Severing. (Chapters 524–628)

Southern Domain War and Dao Seeking

Meng Hao leaves the resealed Demon Immortal Sect with Zhixiang, accepts custody of the restored Zhao Youlan, and returns to Planet South Heaven with a clearer understanding of Spirit Severing. In the Third Ring he uses the Mountain Consuming Incantation to take the soul and will of real mountains, confronts the Mother of the Resurrection Lily, and makes his first severing by cutting away the poison-flower destiny imposed on him. The severing frees his path, but it does not end his conflicts with the Wang Clan: the Tenth Wang Patriarch extracts his Perfect Foundation and leaves him apparently dead. (Chapters 629–680)

Patriarch Blood Demon preserves Meng Hao's remnant and brings him into the Blood Demon Sect. Meng Hao rebuilds himself, becomes Blood Prince, and learns the Blood Demon Grand Magic, whose stolen qi, blood, and cultivation power allow him to challenge enemies beyond his stage. The sect's trials also let him refine the Withering Flame Demon Magic True Self Dao, gain the Seventh Demon Sealing Hex, and construct a second true self. Recovery therefore changes his combat system rather than simply restoring what the Wang Patriarch stole. (Chapters 681–734)

When the Southern Domain war begins, Meng Hao fights as Blood Prince and uses the developing grand magic to defeat Spirit Severing and early Dao Seeking opponents. He reaches the fourth level but refuses the fifth because its complete path would require him to embrace indiscriminate slaughter and become a Devil. He and Xu Qing marry during the invasion, and their wedding becomes both a personal vow and a rallying point. Meng Hao then uses his second true self, Blood Demon arts, and allies to break the Northern Reaches offensive. (Chapters 735–736 and 738–779)

The war's aftermath brings the completion of Dao Seeking and the final struggle with the Resurrection Lily. Meng Hao refuses assimilation, preserves his own identity, and learns that the recurring Seventh Year Tribulations of his childhood were part of repeated Nirvanic Rebirths connected to the Fang Clan. The recovered memory explains both his removal from the clan and the latent bloodline that later produces Nirvana Fruits; it does not overwrite the scholar's life he chose and remembers as his own. (Chapters 780–800)

The Wider Ninth Mountain and Sea

Volume 6 follows Meng Hao from Planet South Heaven into the wider Ninth Mountain and Sea. He collects Ji Clan debts, exploits the newly opened Immortal Ancient Daoist Rite temple, wins the Three Great Daoist Societies' trial and arena tournament as Fang Mu, and survives an encounter with the Sixth Generation Demon Sealer. (Chapters 801–882)

After revisiting South Heaven, he travels to Planet East Victory and returns openly to the Fang Clan as Fang Hao. He rises through its Dao of Alchemy Division, concocts the Skypalace Sunspirit Pill, clashes with Fang Wei's faction, and uses the East Ascension Sun to refine his body. (Chapters 883–941)

Inside the Fang ancestral land, Meng Hao gains the Fifth Demon Sealing Hex and the first-generation Patriarch's Nirvana Fruit. His true-Immortal tribulation opens 123 meridians and makes him a Paragon Immortal. He defeats the Ninth Mountain and Sea's Chosen, overcomes Fang Wei, kills Fang Xiushan, and survives the clan rebellion before the first-generation Patriarch exposes the upheaval as a trap. (Chapters 942–1004)

Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

Meng Hao completes the Fang crisis, enters the Nine Seas God World, defeats its golden-gate records, and attains an anti-Ancient fleshly body. In the Windswept Realm he defeats multiple Echelon rivals, gains World Seals, receives the Echelon Heart, and becomes an Eternal Allheaven Immortal. After escaping, he returns to family conflicts, witnesses Fang Xiufeng achieve the Dao, and continues through the volume’s final confrontations. (Chapters 1005–1211)

Meng Clan and the Mountain and Sea War

Meng Hao enters the Eighth Mountain and Sea, survives Greed’s possession, restores his mother’s Meng bloodline, and destroys the curse consuming the clan. He reaches the Ancient Realm, reunites with his maternal grandfather, exposes Lord White’s Outsider allegiance, and becomes a true Dao Sovereign as the invasion begins. He then destroys the 1st Heaven, battles the descending Paragons, helps lead the Realm’s final resistance, and carries its people and legacy toward the World-Butterfly after the Mountains and Seas fall. (Chapters 1212–1376 and 1378–1408)

Vast Expanse and Transcendence

After drifting unconscious through the Vast Expanse for a millennium, Meng Hao's bronze Soul Lamp preserves a spark of life. Cultivators of Planet Vast Expanse refine Paragon Heaven-Eye's corpse into a Dao Body, inadvertently giving Meng Hao a new vessel. He devours Heaven-Eye's soul, awakens, takes the title Ninth Paragon, and enters the Vast Expanse School while studying a path toward Transcendence. (Chapters 1410–1421)

Inside the School's necropolis, Meng Hao commands the ghosts through the bronze lamp, studies Patriarch Vast Expanse's frescoes and Transcendence Daises, and battles the School's Potentates. His conflict with Jin Yunshan displays the combined Devil-Butchering Fist and his sealing arts; his discoveries also show that the Ninth Hex cannot be completed through a single ordinary lifetime. (Chapters 1422–1447)

Meng Hao creates an independent clone to live as Fang Mu and accumulate the nine lifetimes needed for the Ninth Hex. While the clone becomes Yan'er's master inside the Ninth Sect, Meng Hao's true self remains separately active, protecting the plan, leading necropolis expeditions, and collecting copper-mirror shards. (Chapters 1448–1495)

His search culminates in the Ice-Fire Realm, where he defeats Patriarch Icemountain and the Flamephoenix, takes the eighth shard, stabilizes their dying world, and summons the completed copper mirror. The Parrot returns and becomes Transcendent battle armor. Meng Hao defeats and Soulsearches the Emissary Song Daozi, only for Han Bei acting as Allheaven's will to cast him outside the Vast Expanse into an imposed Blue Sea Sect reality. (Chapters 1495–1507)

Allheaven uses projections and manufactured memories to make Meng Hao reject his real history. Ke Yunhai's self-sacrifice and the Parrot's recovered memories help him break free. Returning to Planet Vast Expanse, he receives the completed Ninth Hex from the clone's nine reincarnations and chooses Patriarch Vast Expanse's throne for his final breakthrough. (Chapters 1508–1531)

Meng Hao completes Transcendence in cultivation base, body, and soul, reaches Daosource, and defeats Allheaven's finger. Recognized as the Demon Sovereign, he gathers the Vast Expanse School and allied peak experts, returns to the ruins of the Mountain and Sea Realm, reunites with its survivors, and leads their vengeance against the 33 Heavens. (Chapters 1532–1557)

Beyond Allheaven

Meng Hao restores the Mountain and Sea Realm, confronts the false Immortal God and Devil Realm continents, defeats Allheaven's clone, and replaces the Vast Expanse's will with the starry sky of the Mountains and Seas. He resurrects those lost in the war, but Allheaven's curse then strips longevity from everyone connected to him. Shui Dongliu's final plan lets Meng Hao endure the resulting epoch, break the curse through reincarnation, reunite with Xu Qing and his companions, and leave the restored starry sky to explore the boundless Universe. (Chapters 1558–1589 and 1591–1614)

Appearance and personality

Meng Hao begins lean, short, dark-skinned, and dressed as a clean blue-robed scholar. Cultivation makes him taller and more slender, but he retains his scholarly air. His defining traits are persistence, intelligence, thrift, and dignity. He prefers bargaining and improvisation to direct slaughter, yet repeated oppression makes him increasingly decisive and ruthless. He repays kindness, protects friends, returns Little Tiger's pearl, and repeatedly remembers debts of both gratitude and humiliation. (Chapters 1, 17, 44, 66, and 76)

Abilities and cultivation

Cultivation progression

Meng Hao follows the conventional realms but repeatedly reconstructs their foundations. In Qi Condensation he reaches the otherwise lost thirteenth level, completing the Great Circle and improving poor latent talent while concealing the result as the ninth level. At Foundation Establishment he repairs a cracked Dao Pillar with the Perfect Foundation Pill and eventually builds ten Perfect Dao Pillars. A Perfect Foundation takes spiritual energy without returning it to Heaven, giving it oppressive power over ordinary Foundations but provoking Heavenly Tribulation as the world attempts to erase it. Immortal qi later melts all ten pillars into a Violet Core. (Chapters 3, 84–104, 130–140, 173, 228, 263–275 and 301–304)

His Perfect Gold Core and perfected body lead into a Five-Colored Nascent Soul system built from elemental totems, followed by three Spirit Severings, Dao Seeking, and self-corroborated Immortal Ascension. The progression is not merely numerical: the first Spirit Severing rejects the Resurrection Lily's imposed destiny, later severings clarify his true self, and 123 Immortal meridians plus 33 Immortal souls make him a Paragon Immortal. In the Ancient Realm he lights and extinguishes Soul Lamps rather than simply accumulating qi; the danger is that failure at the final lamps can destroy the cultivator's Dao foundation. (Chapters 314–388, 389–523, 629–736, 738–800, 967–986 and 1212–1310)

Meng Hao then reaches Dao Sovereign, develops his Hexes into Essences, and advances through the Paragon path. In the Vast Expanse, a bronze Soul Lamp preserves a spark of him for a millennium and he awakens in a refined Dao Body. His final breakthrough must encompass cultivation base, fleshly body, and soul together; completing only one aspect would leave an incomplete Transcendence. When all three cross the boundary, he reaches Daosource and is recognized as the Demon Sovereign, able to oppose Allheaven rather than remain a cultivator inside Allheaven's laws. (Chapters 1310–1376, 1378–1408, 1410–1537 and 1539–1557)

Demon Sealing lineage and the nine Hexes

The Demon Sealing Jade identifies Meng Hao as the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer and gives him authority over Demonic qi and beings such as Patriarch Reliance. Each earlier Demon Sealer created a primary Hex, so Meng Hao must recover separate legacies and understand their principles rather than receiving one complete manual. The Hexes become more effective as his cultivation and comprehension rise, but using them on a far stronger target causes backlash: trying to hold a full Paragon with the Eighth Hex stops the target only momentarily and crushes Meng Hao's own body. (Chapters 85–95, 102–104, 1360, 1376 and 1378–1406)

The eight inherited Hexes manipulate different layers of existence:

• First — Beginning-Ending: inherited through Shui Dongliu and concerned with the transformation between beginnings and endings.
• Second — Real-Unreal: changes what is real into unreal and the unreal into real according to the user's thought.
• Third — Present-Ancient: governs the relation between present and ancient and can arrest the flow of time.
• Fourth — Self: produces mass versions of the self and can give those manifestations distinct consciousnesses.
• Fifth — Inside-Outside: transposes inside and outside through spatial rifts, cutting formations or targets; before the Immortal Realm, forcing it extinguishes Meng Hao's life force.
• Sixth — Life-Death: decides life and death and can turn suitable beings into controlled agents, but failure against an incompatible or powerful target can kill the intended subject instead.
• Seventh — Karmic: exposes, entangles, severs, or destabilizes Karma Threads, affecting memories, relationships, and cultivation founded on those bonds.
• Eighth — Body-Spirit: locks body, spirit, motion, and cultivation; it is Meng Hao's earliest and most frequently used Hex, but stronger opponents shorten or break the seal.

He acquires them gradually—Eighth first, Seventh from the bone cane, Sixth from the Demon Sealer's sword, Fifth in the Fang ancestral land, Second and Third from their legacies, Fourth near the 33 Hells, and First during the Realm's destruction. Combining incomplete Hexes multiplies their reach but also multiplies backlash. Only after each develops toward an Essence can he safely use the Eight Hexes as a unified net against peak opponents. (Chapters 102–204, 733, 865–882, 949–977, 1160, 1307–1308, 1331, 1360, 1376 and 1399–1498)

Ninth and Tenth Hexes

As the Ninth Demon Sealer, Meng Hao must create rather than inherit the Ninth Hex. An ordinary lifetime cannot complete its scale, so he sends an independent clone through nine mortal lives, each ending in a Seventh Year Tribulation and returning accumulated insight. The resulting Seal the Heavens Hex combines nine sealing marks and can exceed 9-Essences power, but before completion he can only imprint portions with divine will. Completing the Hex becomes the conceptual route by which his cultivation, body, and soul reach Transcendence. (Chapters 1448–1466 and 1503–1537)

Much later, Meng Hao conceals a further conclusion from Allheaven. With the completed Ninth Hex as a foundation and Nirvanic Rebirth as a catalyst, he produces a conditional Tenth Hex whose threads contain all nine previous Hexes and cut away Allheaven's foundation. He cannot grasp or deploy this realm freely; it appears only under the prepared circumstances of the final confrontation. The limitation is central to the deception, because he lets Allheaven believe the Ninth is his ultimate sealing art. (Chapters 1606–1607)

Fang bloodline, Nirvanic Rebirth, and bodies

Meng Hao's Fang Clan bloodline grants four-life potential expressed through Nirvanic Rebirth and Nirvana Fruits. His childhood Seventh Year Tribulations are repeated deaths and rebirths rather than ordinary illness. The fruits can temporarily fuse with a compatible Fang cultivator and multiply meridians and power, but withered or mismatched fruits consume life force, and even Meng Hao cannot initially sustain their fusion. Restoring the first Patriarch's fruit requires an otherwise unaffordable volume of Spirit Extract, which he produces through the copper mirror at an enormous Spirit Stone cost. The four fully integrated fruits later form a unique route into the Ancient Realm. (Chapters 765–800, 900–943, 965–1005 and 1035)

His Immortal Ascension opens the maximum 123 meridians and 33 Immortal souls. Bloodline development then leads to the Allheaven Immortal and Eternal Allheaven Immortal states, while physical cultivation produces an anti-Ancient body and later Dao Sovereign-level flesh. These bodies let him exchange blows above his nominal cultivation realm and recover from extreme damage, but they are not absolute: Paragon combat destroys flesh, Soul Lamps must preserve life through collapse, and full Transcendence still requires an independent breakthrough of the body rather than relying on Allheaven blood alone. (Chapters 967–997, 1005–1211, 1270–1376, 1378–1408 and 1532–1541)

Dao of alchemy

Meng Hao's alchemy begins with exhaustive plant study, catalysis, and paid commissions rather than innate status. He learns to identify millions of vegetation variations, adjust formulas to a patient's poison and constitution, conceal effects inside ordinary-looking pills, and use pill quality as both medicine and leverage. The Bedevilment Pill arises from enlightenment and can burn cultivation and longevity for a temporary surge, so its power carries potentially fatal repayment. His meat-jelly pill defeats Fatty because the resilient shell survives the teeth while the hidden spicy effect targets the tester's actual aversion. (Chapters 205–241 and 294–313)

In the Violet Furnace trial he controls the sovereign Mother of Furnaces, refines “something from nothing,” and completes a lifetime illusion without surrendering his own Dao. A thousand consummate pills reveal Grandmaster Pill Cauldron and lead Pill Demon to make him Legacy Apprentice. Meng Hao also turns alchemy toward possession and poison: Demon Sealer blood in Soul Refining Pills restores Black Sieve disciples by attacking the discarnate souls inside them, while diagnostic work separates symptoms from causes before treatment. In the Fang Clan he scales the same principles into mass production, living plant transformations, and the Skypalace Sunspirit Pill; commercial success supplies the Spirit Stones required by his mirror and cultivation. Blood Demon and Blood Immortal arts

The Blood Immortal Mask carries the Spirit Devouring Scripture, Blood Finger, Blood Palm, Blood Death World, and Nine Killing Magics. These arts link Meng Hao to the Blood Mastiff and turn blood, killing intent, and absorbed life into attacks. The mask is also a vessel with its own Legacy conditions rather than a passive ornament; the mastiff's growth and sacrifice are part of acquiring it. (Chapters 120–139 and 171–204)

The later Blood Demon Grand Magic first binds a target and then extracts qi and blood, spirit meridians, or cultivation into temporary strength. Its early stratum strengthens the fleshly body; higher strata let a vortex consume groups and make Meng Hao more dangerous as a battle continues. The borrowed power is spent by attacks and is not permanent, exceptionally strong bodies can shake off a broad vortex, and concentrating the vortex improves penetration at the cost of area. Meng Hao stops at the fourth level because the fifth requires wholehearted acceptance of slaughter and a Devil's path, making his moral refusal a real ceiling on the technique. (Chapters 701–736 and 738–758)

True selves, clones, and transformations

The Withering Flame Demon Magic True Self Dao contains distinct Withering Flame, Demon Magic, and True Self principles. Meng Hao uses its “self” insight and a prepared body to create a second true self: an independent combat body connected to him, able to cultivate and act alongside the original. It multiplies tactical reach but requires a suitable body, prolonged refinement, and the preservation of their link; it is not an unlimited cloning method. He also creates five Blood Clones with ancestral blood and Meat Jelly skin. Those clones regenerate while Meng Hao lives, but their weaker cultivation limits their attacks even when their bodies are difficult to destroy. (Chapters 265, 719–736, 738–752 and 770)

His other transformations are functional rather than cosmetic. The Flying Rain-Dragon Core gives Wind Blade, flight affinity, and a dragon form used in sword formations. Western Desert totems and Demon Animas let him manifest or borrow the attributes of neo-demons, while the roc transformation emphasizes speed and bodily impact. Disguises such as Fang Mu and Fang Hao conceal identity through age, aura, and presentation, yet repeated acquaintances can recognize characteristic pills, behavior, or Karma. (Chapters 25–33, 73–76, 205–313, 389–523 and 801–954)

Mountain, time, space, and Paragon arts

The Mountain Consuming Incantation has three components—mountain, soul, and will. Meng Hao can summon illusory mountains, lift and seal real mountains, or consume their accumulated Dao and will to strengthen an attack. Its scale depends on the mountains within divine-sense range and on his ability to bear their pressure; an image of the Ninth Mountain is vastly more demanding than manipulating a local peak. (Chapters 650–700)

The Wooden Time Swords impose sixty-year cycles that age a target or treasure, allowing time rather than cutting force to erode defenses. Their effect depends on contact, accumulated cycles, and the target's resistance. The Paragon Bridge condenses his enlightenment and later physical bridge fragments into an overwhelming road that can suppress powerful enemies, but early versions are forced manifestations: combined Ancient Realm attacks can shatter them, and destroying the completed bridge expends the treasure. Space-switching through the Lightning Cauldron likewise requires a marked counterpart and correct timing rather than free teleportation. Fist arts, Essences, and battle limits

Meng Hao's physical path produces a sequence of fist arts whose names reflect what they target: Life-Extermination destroys vitality, Bedevilment channels Devil intent, God-Slaying attacks divine authority, and Devil-Butchering opposes Devil power. They grow with his body and are later combined rather than functioning as identical punches with different names. He also develops or borrows the Essence of Divine Flame, gains enlightenment of time and space, and gradually turns Demon Sealing principles into his core Essences. A captured flame spirit is only a fragment of the full Divine Flame; approaching the source injures him and collecting more would risk provoking the intelligence inside it. His strongest techniques remain constrained by realm, preparation, and cost. The Paragon Bridge can break, Hexes rebound from stronger Paragons, Blood Demon power is borrowed, Nirvana fusion may be temporary, and Transcendent armor requires the restored mirror and its combined components. Meng Hao survives by sequencing these limited tools—sealing a moment of motion, switching position, draining strength, or sacrificing a treasure—rather than by possessing one attack that is always superior. (Chapters 997, 1031, 1360, 1406–1408 and 1499–1503)

Treasures and resource mechanics

The Copper Mirror duplicates compatible objects by consuming Spirit Stones; valuable or numerous copies require proportionally greater expenditure, so Meng Hao's apparent abundance is tied to commerce, debt collection, and alchemy income. Its furred-animal reaction is an early weapon, while its deeper identity as the Parrot's vessel and a component of Transcendent armor emerges only after eight scattered shards are restored. The mirror does not create resources freely and cannot reproduce every unique entity on demand. (Chapters 4–26, 205–294, 900–965 and 1495–1503)

The Lightning Flag absorbs and releases lightning but must be refined and can be overwhelmed; the Devil Spear contains dangerous Devil will that supplies battlefield power at the risk of influence; and the Bag of the Cosmos stores far more than an ordinary bag but still functions as a carried space that can be sealed or made inaccessible. Meng Hao's signature practice is to learn an item's operating condition and then combine it with another system—for example, using duplicated Spirit Extract to restore a Nirvana Fruit or Meat Jelly skin to strengthen clone cores. His “treasure skill” is therefore as much resource engineering as ownership. (Chapters 50–52, 133–139, 265, 389–523 and 900–965)

Tactical deception and adaptation

Before possessing superior cultivation, Meng Hao survives by manipulating incentives and information. He disguises an ordinary spear as a beast-subduing treasure, lets rival buyers create its price, opens a medicine business beside compulsory duels, bluffs captors into paying him to enter danger, and uses pursuit routes to make enemies collide with beasts or each other. These strategies depend on observation and credible risk: once an opponent knows the trick, he must change methods. The same habit persists at high cultivation, where he conceals the Tenth Hex from Allheaven and turns an expected “ultimate” technique into bait. (Chapters 11–22, 50–56, 77–83 and 1606–1607)
