Devil Spear

The Devil Spear is the weapon form of a Devil Construct granted to Meng Hao by Demon Weapon Lonelytomb. Though it contains only a fraction of Lonelytomb's full power, it commands a murderous black mist filled with countless faces.

History

Gift of Demon Weapon Lonelytomb

The Devil Construct takes the shape of a black spear in Meng Hao's hand. The faces within its mist recognize its wielder with awe, allowing Meng Hao to control forces that had threatened the Western Desert tribes and reinforcing his position as a Sacred Ancient. (Chapters 497–498)

Western Desert warfare

Meng Hao wields the spear throughout the migration war. It pierces cultivators and defenses, unleashes self-contained killing power, and spreads a corrosive mist whose faces consume enemies. The weapon is formidable against Nascent Soul cultivators but is pressured and weakened when Meng Hao tests it against Patriarch Huyan's Spirit Severing Area. (Chapters 505–513 and 539–543)

Return to Lonelytomb's battlefield

In the Demon Immortal Sect's ancient battlefield, the construct reacts to the true Demon Weapon Lonelytomb, confirming that the Devil Spear is only an incarnation of a portion of the greater weapon. The corpus does not establish the spear's custody after this encounter. (Chapters 614–615)

Abilities and properties

  • It manifests black mist filled with faces that attack, consume, and corrode. (Chapters 497, 508, and 541)
  • Its power is intrinsic and does not depend entirely on Meng Hao's cultivation base. (Chapter 539)
  • It contains only a strand of the Devil Construct—described as ten percent of Lonelytomb's power—and is not the complete Demon Weapon. (Chapters 505, 539, and 615)
