Wang Tengfei
Wang Tengfei is a proud Wang Clan Chosen whose repeated losses to Meng Hao turn an initially one-sided humiliation into a lasting rivalry.
Biography
State of Zhao and the Reliance Sect
At the Reliance Sect, Wang is the celebrated sixth-level Outer Sect favorite. He tries to cripple Meng Hao, then loses the Flying Rain-Dragon legacy he spent years locating and is defeated by Meng Hao in the Inner Sect tournament. Wang Xifan removes him from the dissolved sect with the Wang Clan. (Chapters 10–35)
He later competes in the Blood Immortal Legacy and establishes a Flawless Foundation. At the Song Clan gathering he confronts Meng Hao over both their old feud and the rumors concerning Chu Yuyan, but Meng Hao defeats and publicly humiliates him again. During the World Tree trial he repeatedly tries to overtake Meng Hao, is blown backward, and ultimately watches Meng Hao create a “tenth path.” (Chapters 119–199)
Wang Tengfei later appears among the Southern Domain Chosen during the Dao Geyser disturbance, attends Pill Demon's promotion ceremony, and watches Meng Hao's stand outside the Rebirth Cave. (Chapters 264, 279, and 311)
Later cultivation journey
After his clan's destruction, Wang Tengfei confronts Meng Hao over their entire history and rejects a life-saving gift offered in pity. He seeks the Tenth Patriarch and deliberately lets him consume his life and soul, finally admitting that envy drove much of his hatred and asking Meng Hao to treat Chu Yuyan well. (Chapters 761–763)
The later reappearance means that the consumed-soul scene is not his final extinction. The corpus presents a restored or surviving Wang Tengfei but does not fully explain the intervening mechanism; the article therefore distinguishes the sacrifice from the later body rather than inventing a simple resurrection method.
The Wider Ninth Mountain and Sea
Chapter 801 shows the Tenth Patriarch wearing Wang Tengfei's youthful appearance after swallowing his soul, yet Wang Tengfei himself later reappears alive and profoundly changed. He remains connected to the Ancient Road events, and on an asteroid undergoes true-Immortal ascension, opens ninety-five Immortal meridians, and manifests a small heavenly body on his forehead. He watches Meng Hao's unprecedented ascension and the revelation of his Fang Mu identity before arriving to test his own new power against him alongside Zhou Shui. Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm
At the Kunlun Society, Wang Tengfei attacks Meng Hao in grief and fury over Chu Yuyan. His awakened God bloodline gives the clash enormous force, but Meng Hao refuses to be delayed and continues the attempt to recover and trace Chu Yuyan's soul. (Chapters 1209–1210)
Meng Clan and the Mountain and Sea War
When clans are offered a chance to abandon the Mountain and Sea Realm, Wang Tengfei rejects surrender and steps out from the Wang Clan to defend his homeland despite his old grievances. (Chapter 1384)
Appearance and personality
Wang is exceptionally handsome, long-haired, white-robed, and outwardly gracious. Defeat exposes entitlement, jealousy, and tenacious hatred; nevertheless, he is disciplined enough to remain a leading Chosen.
His final refusal to abandon the Mountain and Sea Realm shows development beyond private rivalry. He can still hate Meng Hao and grieve Chu Yuyan while choosing collective defense over clan retreat.
Abilities and cultivation
Flying Rain-Dragon inheritance
Wang Tengfei spends years locating the legacy, but Meng Hao receives it during their Reliance Sect conflict. His loss is therefore central to motivation rather than a power he continues to wield. (Chapters 10–35)
Flawless Foundation
He establishes a high-grade Foundation and remains a Southern Domain Chosen. Flawless strength exceeds ordinary peers but falls below Meng Hao's Perfect cultivation. (Chapters 119–199)
Water-Wind and finger arts
Wang Clan techniques combine elemental force and concentrated finger attacks. His restored special finger strengthens these methods, but repeated contests show they can be overcome by a superior foundation. (Chapters 119–199 and 989–990)
True-Immortal ascension
On an asteroid he opens ninety-five Immortal meridians and manifests a small heavenly body on his forehead. This makes him an exceptional conventional true Immortal while still below Meng Hao's unprecedented ascension. (Chapters 957–990)
Awakened God bloodline
By Kunlun Society his bloodline produces enormous physical and cultivation force in grief-driven combat. Meng Hao withstands it, and the corpus does not establish that anger removes its limits. (Chapters 1209–1210)
