Immortal Ancient Dao Medallion
The Immortal Ancient Dao Medallion is an ancient access token given to Meng Hao by his father. It can guide its bearer to the Immortal Ancient Daoist Rite and provides a recognized route to join that organization.
History
Fang Xiufeng's gift
Before Meng Hao leaves Planet South Heaven, Fang Xiufeng gives him the medallion and explains his options: Meng Hao can return to the Fang Clan or present the token to cultivate with the Immortal Ancient Daoist Rite. (Chapter 802)
Guidance to the ancient temple
Meng Hao follows the medallion's guidance deep into the mountains, where an ordinary-looking ancient temple opens into the Daoist Rite's trial. Other Chosen recognize the medallion's importance and attempt to take it, while observers infer its presence from Meng Hao's access to the temple's treasures. (Chapters 805–807 and 819–821)
An unused privilege
Fang Xiufeng later notes that possession of the medallion would let Meng Hao join the Rite without risking its public trial by fire. Meng Hao continues to regard joining the organization as a future path, but no later transfer of the token is shown. (Chapters 841 and 921)
