Blood Immortal — I Shall Seal the Heavens

The Blood Immortal is one of the Ancient Doom Clan's three famous Immortals and creator of the nine-matrix Blood Immortal Legacy. His hidden eighth altar is discovered by Meng Hao and Chu Yuyan.

Biography

The hidden eighth Legacy zone

The Blood Immortal is remembered as one of the Ancient Doom Clan's three famous Immortals, but the person encountered in the Southern Domain is a corpse and preserved will rather than a living cultivator. His hidden eighth Legacy zone lies beneath a sealed volcano, where a dark-green altar rises from a lake of blood. Meng Hao and Chu Yuyan discover it while trapped together. When Meng Hao approaches, an archaic voice invites him into the sea of blood to compete for the bloodline inheritance. (Chapters 113–117)

The nine-matrix competition

Meng Hao's entry opens all eight discovered zones and activates a nine-month competition among their candidates. The Blood Immortal's will uses a drop of each entrant's heart blood to create a Blood Divinity, then sends candidate and Divinity through nine linked matrixes. The contest deliberately permits almost any method of victory. Progress depends on strength, comprehension, and what the candidate is willing to do, while withdrawal and reward remain controlled by the Legacy's rules. (Chapters 119–128)

The Blood Immortal is not an active mentor adjusting every trial in response to affection. His preserved system administers an inheritance designed long before the contestants arrive. That impartiality makes the competition brutal, but it also prevents sect status from automatically determining the result. Li Daoyi can attempt to seize the final position, while Meng Hao's bond with his evolving Blood Divinity becomes a genuine source of strength. (Chapters 119–129)

Recognition by the Legacy

Heavenly Tribulation strikes the hidden altar's shield because of Meng Hao's Heaven-defying path. The Legacy interprets the crisis as confirmation that its destined successor has appeared. Its matrixes destroy themselves and pour their accumulated power into Meng Hao rather than preserve the testing grounds for a future generation. This sacrifice ends the repeatable competition in order to maximize one successor's inheritance. (Chapters 130–132)

At the final altar, the corpse removes its featureless mask and presents the central Legacy treasure before dissolving into ash. A will preserved inside the mask later identifies itself and transmits the Spirit Devouring Scripture, Blood Finger, Blood Palm, Blood Death World, and Nine Killing Magics. The Blood Mastiff, evolved from Meng Hao's Blood Divinity, becomes the mask's Weapon Spirit. The Blood Immortal's last agency thus survives through a system, a treasure, and techniques rather than through bodily resurrection. (Chapters 133 and 137)

Appearance and personality

The Blood Immortal appears as a corpse in blood-colored robes seated on a stone throne, with its face hidden behind a featureless silver-white mask. Its voice is archaic and its surviving will is formal, impartial, and uncompromising. The tournament has almost no behavioral rules and openly permits competitors to use any method of victory. Yet the Legacy is not indifferent to its purpose: once it recognizes a fitting Heaven-defying successor, it sacrifices its own matrixes to strengthen him. (Chapters 113–137)

Abilities and cultivation

Immortal cultivation and preserved will

The Blood Immortal belonged to the Ancient Doom Clan and reached the Immortal level in an earlier age. By the time Meng Hao arrives, the body is dead. The consciousness that speaks, judges, and transmits techniques is a will preserved through the Legacy and its mask. It can administer the inheritance and respond to a destined successor, but the corpus does not show it leaving the Legacy zone or returning to independent life. (Chapters 113–137)

Blood Divinity creation

The Legacy takes heart blood from each competitor and uses it to form a Blood Divinity linked to that person. A Divinity is both companion and evolving expression of the entrant's progress through the matrixes. It can fight and transform as the trials continue. Meng Hao's Divinity ultimately becomes the Blood Mastiff, whose loyalty and growth are tied to their shared passage through the inheritance. The process requires the Legacy matrixes and heart blood; it is not shown as a technique Meng Hao can freely repeat elsewhere. (Chapters 119–133)

Nine Legacy matrixes

Nine linked matrixes test and transform the candidates. They regulate entry, progression, exits, rewards, and the evolution of the Blood Divinities while allowing competitors broad freedom to attack or outmaneuver one another. The zones operate as parts of one inheritance even though their entrances are geographically separated. When they self-destruct to reinforce Meng Hao, that accumulated structure is consumed, showing that their stored power is finite rather than an endlessly renewable source. (Chapters 119–133)

Blood Immortal arts

The preserved will transmits a suite of blood-path techniques. The Spirit Devouring Scripture forms the inheritance's cultivation foundation, while Blood Finger and Blood Palm apply blood power through focused attacks. Blood Death World expands that power into a larger killing domain, and the Nine Killing Magics provide successive offensive methods. The transfer gives Meng Hao access to the arts, but his later mastery and modifications belong to his own article; the source does not demonstrate the corpse personally casting every technique in present time. Legacy defenses

The altar and its Ancient Doom manifestations resist Heavenly Tribulation long enough for the Legacy to act. Their response protects the inheritance and its chosen successor, but the tribulation places the structure under existential pressure. The eventual destruction of the matrixes is therefore both a deliberate empowerment and the end of the old testing apparatus. (Chapters 130–133)
