Yun Che

Yun Che is a physician, profound practitioner, and sovereign whose life spans two worlds and more than one identity. Born in the Profound Sky Continent, raised in Azure Cloud Continent, and reincarnated into the body known as Xiao Che, he combines the Sky Poison Pearl, the Heretic God's legacy, several divine-beast inheritances, and an exceptional knowledge of medicine. His progress from a mocked youth with damaged profound veins to Emperor Yun is driven less by a desire for rank than by an uncompromising need to protect his family, repay loyalty, and punish those who destroy what he loves.

That devotion repeatedly saves nations and repeatedly exposes him to catastrophe. Yun Che is capable of calculated deception and ruthless retaliation, yet he also risks himself for strangers, fallen races, and enemies he believes can still be spared. In the Abyss, he again advances through assumed identities, now carrying the experience of a ruler while confronting truths about Xia Qingyue, the creation of the Abyss, and powers that exceed the known profound way.

Biography

Rebirth and Blue Wind beginnings

Yun Che's first remembered life is as the disciple of the Medical Saint Yun Gu in Azure Cloud Continent. After Yun Gu's death, he uses the Sky Poison Pearl to pursue revenge, dies at Cloud's End Cliff, and awakens in the poisoned body of Xiao Che on the morning of Xiao Che's wedding. The continuity is both physical and spiritual: he retains his memories and medical mastery, while the pearl has fused with him. Faced with a despised body and a hostile branch of the Xiao Clan, he initially acts to protect Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi, preserve his marriage to Xia Qingyue, and discover who murdered the body's former occupant. He answers humiliation with schemes, medicine, and carefully chosen violence rather than submitting to the limits assigned to him. (Chapters 1–16; Prologue)

His expulsion from the Xiao Clan expands that private struggle into a cultivation journey. Jasmine remakes his damaged veins with the Evil God's blood and becomes his first true master, although their bond begins as a tense exchange of survival, instruction, and mutual dependence. Yun Che absorbs the Heretic God fire seed, enters New Moon Profound Palace, and challenges opponents far above his stated level, using disguise and provocation to control the terms of conflict. He protects Cang Yue and follows her into Blue Wind Imperial City, where his victories in the ranking tournament turn a supposed cripple into the empire's foremost young practitioner. His Phoenix trial, Dragon God trial, and repeated use of medical skill establish the pattern that defines his early rise: he accepts lethal risks when the reward can secure a loved one, cure an ally, or overturn an unjust hierarchy. Victory in Blue Wind does not end Yun Che's vulnerability; it changes the scale on which others measure him. His marriage to Cang Yue, conflict with the Burning Heaven Clan, and growing attachment to Chu Yuechan draw imperial, sectarian, and personal obligations together. By choosing each bond openly, he stops treating cultivation as a private cure for humiliation and begins using strength as a promise that those who trust him will not be abandoned. Ancestry, vengeance, and the Illusory Demon Realm

At the Heavenly Sword Villa, Yun Che enters the Heaven Basin with Xia Qingyue and later descends beneath Sword Management Terrace. There he meets Yun Canghai and learns that he is not Xiao Ying's biological son but a descendant of the Illusory Demon Realm's Yun family. Yun Canghai awakens his Profound Handle and entrusts him with the Demon Emperor's Seal, turning Yun Che's search for personal origins into a duty to restore his birth family and clear the name of a condemned guardian clan. Before he can do so, Fen Juecheng's attack on the Xiao household leads Yun Che to rescue Xiao Lingxi and destroy Burning Heaven Clan. The victory protects his family but also confirms the extremity of his retaliatory code: once an enemy deliberately targets those under his protection, he is willing to erase the power behind that threat. The Primordial Profound Ark carries Yun Che and Feng Xue'er away from the Divine Phoenix Empire and eventually into the Illusory Demon Realm. Reunited with Yun Qinghong and Mu Yurou without initially revealing himself, he diagnoses their injuries, exposes Duke Huai's conspiracy, and restores the Yun family's position through both political performance and force. Once his identity becomes known, the abandoned son becomes the family's defender and a central supporter of the Little Demon Empress. Golden Crow inheritance, the lightning seed, and his growing command of the Profound Handle give him the means to reverse the realm's balance of power; his loyalty to the Little Demon Empress also develops into a personal bond that survives the political alliance. By returning with the Demon Emperor's Seal and confronting Duke Huai's faction, Yun Che transforms inherited disgrace into renewed authority, while accepting responsibility for a realm he had never known as a child. The Illusory Demon campaign changes Yun Che's understanding of family without replacing the people who raised him. He accepts Yun Qinghong and Mu Yurou as his birth parents while continuing to regard Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi as wholly his own, and he treats the Yun family's restored honor as a debt owed to Yun Canghai rather than a prize for himself. That layered loyalty becomes the model for the many homes he later defends. (Chapters 509–645)

Return, continental war, and supremacy

Yun Che returns to a Blue Wind Empire devastated by Divine Phoenix invasion. He intervenes first as Cang Yue's husband and as a defender of the homeland, breaking the invaders' momentum and confronting Feng Hengkong over the empire's destruction. Feng Xue'er's loyalty complicates what might otherwise have been simple vengeance: Yun Che distinguishes between the rulers responsible for the war and the woman who repeatedly protects him, while she restrains both his fury and her own imperial family. His defense of Frozen Cloud Asgard similarly begins with personal obligation to Chu Yuechan and Xia Qingyue, but ends with him becoming the sect's master and preserving it after the loss of its former leadership. These choices broaden his role from avenger to custodian, binding his strength to institutions and communities that depend on him. (Chapters 646–830)

The Moon Slaughter Devil Nest gives Yun Che a darkness seed and control over the devil origin orb that had threatened him. The price of later victory is harsher: during the devil-sword crisis, Jasmine exhausts her remaining power to save him and is forced to leave, severing the relationship that had shaped his entire cultivation. Yun Che then returns to Azure Cloud Continent, reunites with Su Ling'er, and confronts the grief and guilt of his former life rather than treating reincarnation as an erased past. When Xuanyuan Wentian threatens the Profound Sky Continent, Yun Che combines darkness power, divine bloodlines, and the Heaven Smiting Devil Slayer Sword to defeat him. He reaches the summit of the lower realms, but the separation from Jasmine turns that triumph into the motive for his next departure. (Chapters 831–930)

Across the war and its aftermath, Yun Che repeatedly converts personal victories into protection for weaker communities. He reconstructs Frozen Cloud Asgard, compels Divine Phoenix to repair Blue Wind, preserves both the Profound Sky Continent and Illusory Demon Realm against Xuanyuan Wentian, and creates routes connecting the homes that once seemed impossibly distant. The resulting supremacy offers security, yet his inability to reach Jasmine proves that lower-realm power cannot answer every obligation he has accepted. (Chapters 646–930)

God Realm ascent and the Star God calamity

Yun Che enters the God Realm principally to find Jasmine. In Snow Song Realm, Mu Xuanyin first treats him as a dangerous, undisciplined outsider and then takes him as her direct disciple. Her severe instruction tempers his reliance on explosive power, while his encounter with He Lin draws him into the fate of the wood spirits and leaves He Ling's future tied to his own. Yun Che's growth through Divine Origin, Divine Soul, and Divine Tribulation is unusually compressed, but it remains unstable: his Evil God gates let him fight far above his realm, while pride, impatience, and the urgency of his search repeatedly tempt him into conflicts whose political scale he does not yet understand. At the Conferred God Battle, Yun Che makes his private aim public by competing before the rulers of the God Realm. His nine-stage tribulation and rise into the Divine Spirit Realm overturn conventional judgment of his potential. He finds Jasmine and becomes bound to Caizhi, but the Star God Realm's sacrificial scheme converts reunion into disaster. Yun Che accepts borrowed Star God origin powers to resist the sacrifice, briefly reaches a realm he cannot retain, and dies after forcing a path through enemies far beyond him. The imperfect Ice Phoenix nirvana that revives him does not restore the lost security of the relationship: Jasmine's fate, Caizhi's grief, and Mu Xuanyin's protection all deepen his conviction that the great king realms will sacrifice individuals whenever power demands it. This ascent teaches Yun Che that divine status magnifies danger as quickly as it grants strength. His public gifts attract king-realm protection, possession, and fear in equal measure, while every shortcut carries a cost borne by himself or someone close to him. The Star God calamity therefore ends the hopeful phase of his God Realm journey: he survives and advances, but no longer believes that recognized talent or orthodox authority will keep the people he loves safe. Family rediscovered and the return of the Devil Emperor

After revival, Yun Che returns to the lower realm and discovers Chu Yuechan and their daughter, Yun Wuxin. Fatherhood gives a concrete form to the peaceful life he has often claimed to want, and his bonds with Xiao Lingxi, Cang Yue, Feng Xue'er, the Little Demon Empress, and his parents momentarily draw his divided lives together. Shen Xi's earlier instruction in light profound energy and the Divine Miracle of Life has also added restoration to his growing arsenal, reinforcing the healer beneath the increasingly feared combatant. Yet peace remains contingent on forces beyond the lower realm, and Yun Che continues to place himself between those forces and his home. (Chapters 1300–1420)

Jie Yuan's return makes Yun Che the intermediary between the present universe and the ancient Devil Emperor. He appeals to her memory of Ni Xuan, uses the Mirror of Samsara and the Heretic God's legacy as proof of that bond, and persuades her to spare the current world. For a time he is acclaimed as a messiah by the king realms. Their gratitude collapses when Jie Yuan departs and the Eternal Heaven God Emperor leads an attack on Yun Che's home; the slaughter of his family and homeland destroys his remaining faith in the orthodox realms. Xia Qingyue's apparent role in the calamity becomes his most painful perceived betrayal, turning a marriage already shaped by distance and misunderstanding into the emotional center of his hatred. The contrast between reunion and catastrophe breaks the compromise Yun Che had tried to maintain between family life and divine politics. He saves the universe through persuasion rather than conquest, only to discover that the rulers who praised him will erase his home once his ancient protector is gone. His flight with Qianye Ying'er is consequently more than an escape: it marks the moment when protection, grief, and vengeance become a program for overturning the established order. Northern conquest and Emperor Yun

Fleeing into the Northern Divine Region with Qianye Ying'er, Yun Che turns grief into a deliberate campaign. Jie Yuan's devil blood and Eternal Calamity of Darkness let him cultivate, transform, and command darkness profound energy without the rejection that constrains other practitioners. Qianye begins as a coerced ally marked by mutual hostility, but shared cultivation, strategic dependence, and repeated choices to preserve one another make the partnership increasingly personal. Chi Wuyao recognizes that Yun Che can unite the persecuted northern realms and helps shape him into the Devil Master. Under the identity of the Fog Monarch, he destroys or absorbs opposing powers, gains the Yama origin powers, and makes the Northern Divine Region's resentment into an army rather than a collection of isolated grievances. (Chapters 1530–1705)

Yun Che's invasion of the Eastern Divine Region is both revenge and revolution. He kills Zhou Xuzi, breaks the Eternal Heaven Realm's authority, and forces the other regions to confront the northern practitioners they had confined and despised. Against the Western Divine Region and Long Bai, he fights as the center of an alliance built from relationships rather than reputation alone: Chi Wuyao coordinates the war, Qianye Ying'er and Caizhi strike as sovereign powers, Shui Meiyin supplies the World Piercer, and allies from his earlier life answer him despite the cost. Victory makes him Emperor Yun, but later revelations about Xia Qingyue show that the Moon God Emperor had acted to save his home and burdened herself with his hatred. Sovereignty therefore brings neither simple vindication nor emotional closure; it leaves him responsible for a reunited world whose peace rests on losses he cannot reverse. (Chapters 1706–1899)

As Emperor Yun, he chooses reconstruction over endless punishment and binds former enemies into a single order capable of surviving another external threat. The recovered Blue Pole Star restores much of the family he believed murdered, while the truth surrounding Xia Qingyue prevents that restoration from becoming an uncomplicated triumph. His reign is thus defined by a tension he cannot resolve through power alone: he has won the authority to protect the world, but not the ability to undo every sacrifice that made the victory possible. Half-Gods, the Abyss, and hidden identities

Mo Beichen's arrival exposes the limits of Yun Che's new order. Even at the peak of the Divine Sovereign Realm, his normal power cannot match a Half-God. He burns divine origin power through a complete activation of God Ash, obtaining only a brief interval of catastrophic strength and nearly destroying his body in the process. The completed World-Defying Heaven Manual and the Ancestral God's sacrifice later recreate him as the Sacred Body of Nothingness, preserving the possibility of growth beyond the profound way. This crisis changes his strategic position: Emperor Yun remains the ruler of the known world, but survival now requires knowledge of the Abyss and of powers his existing institutions cannot resist. In the Abyss, Yun Che conceals his origin and adapts to a society ruled by abyssal dust, Kingdoms of God, and the Pure Land. The earth seed and Qilin inheritance complete the Heretic God Profound Veins, remove the restriction that had blocked the Divine Master Realm, and begin his incomplete control over diluted Power of Extinction. He aids the Helian imperial family, meets Li Suo, and forms a close bond with Hua Caili, whose protection allows one of his breakthroughs. He then adopts the identity of Meng Jianyuan to enter the Dreamweaver Kingdom of God, where Meng Kongchan's acceptance gives him access to a powerful family and a deeper disguise. These are not merely evasions: Yun Che uses each identity to gather allies, test Abyssal institutions, and move toward the truth behind Mo Su and the Pure Land. (Chapters 1984–2110)

By the time he reaches the fourth level of the Divine Master Realm, Yun Che can present ten divine essences and appear to be a Godbearer, while keeping the true structure of his completed veins hidden. His encounters in and around the Pure Land reveal that Xia Qingyue's story is not finished and that the Abyss's history is entangled with the world he rules. He continues to cultivate control of abyssal dust, but that control remains partial rather than absolute. The ruler who once answered every threat through open force is therefore operating through patience, false lineage, and selective disclosure—an evolution of his old talent for disguise into a strategy suitable for enemies who could overwhelm his realm in a direct war. Appearance and personality

Yun Che has black hair and black eyes, a refined and unusually handsome face, clear eyes, pale skin, and a lean build that conceals the density and resilience produced by his body-refining arts. His bearing changes with circumstance: he can appear harmless, courteous, or even frivolous while hiding his cultivation, then become oppressive and cold when opening the Evil God gates or releasing killing intent. In the Abyss, his youthful appearance remains conspicuous enough to complicate assumed identities, although his control over aura and demeanor lets him pass among unfamiliar factions. (Prologue; Chapters 140 and 2036)

His defining trait is will. Yun Che resists pain, poison, pressure, and despair long after ordinary limits, and this endurance supports both his cultivation and his refusal to abandon people he has claimed as family. He is proud and intensely sensitive to humiliation, but he is not indiscriminately cruel. His medical training makes him attentive to suffering, and he readily aids innocents, patients, and persecuted peoples when doing so accords with his sense of justice. He remembers debts precisely and repays generosity with extraordinary loyalty. (Chapters 16, 185, 931, and 1312–1319)

The same emotional absolutism creates his greatest weakness. Yun Che acts recklessly when a loved one is endangered, accepts self-destructive techniques before exhausting safer choices, and can let grief harden into collective punishment. He is also a skilled liar and strategist: disguises, poisoned bargains, manipulated public confrontations, and deliberately misleading displays appear throughout his rise. As Devil Master and Emperor Yun, those talents mature from personal tricks into statecraft, though his decisions remain anchored in intimate relationships rather than abstract rule. The Abyss brings the two sides together—he advances with unusual patience, but every layer of the plan ultimately serves his family and the world he left behind. Abilities and cultivation

Heretic God Profound Veins and elemental authority

Jasmine replaces Yun Che's damaged veins with the Evil God Profound Veins. Their fifty-four entrances are purified and opened from the beginning, giving him exceptional circulation and allowing him to carry elemental seeds. Fire, water, lightning, darkness, wind, and finally earth become internal sources rather than ordinary learned affinities; the completed set forms a transformed inner world and removes the restriction that had prevented his breakthrough into the Divine Master Realm. Fire authority is further divided between Phoenix and Golden Crow power, while the water seed supports his compatibility with Ice Phoenix arts. The veins grant resistance and command, not limitless output: his formal cultivation still determines how much power he can sustain, and complete control of abyssal dust remains beyond him. The Evil God gates exchange bodily safety for explosive amplification. Evil Soul and Burning Heart form his routine combat states; Purgatory and Rumbling Heaven multiply his output at progressively greater cost; Hell Monarch integrates the persistent Yama origin-power state; and God Ash burns divine origin power for a few breaths of strength beyond his stable realm. Rumbling Heaven initially leaves him severely damaged, while full God Ash against the Half-Gods tears apart even his extraordinary body and has a strict duration. These states explain how Yun Che repeatedly defeats opponents above his formal level, but they do not erase the gap between temporary battle power and permanent cultivation. Body, bloodlines, and soul

The Great Way of the Buddha draws the energy of heaven and earth into Yun Che's body, strengthening flesh, recovery, and endurance independently of ordinary profound advancement. Its six confirmed stages develop through combat, spatial turbulence, tribulation lightning, and other extreme conditions. Dragon God blood, marrow, and soul further reinforce his physique and regeneration while granting the Dragon Soul Domain, whose spiritual suppression can overwhelm weaker souls. Phoenix and Golden Crow blood provide distinct divine flames; Ice Phoenix power supports ice arts and his imperfect nirvana; and the later Qilin blood, marrow, and Sacred Palace inheritance permanently deepen his defense. Multiple bloodlines coexist because of the Heretic God veins, but their strongest expressions still consume energy and can be checked by superior divine authority. The Profound Handle is inherited through Yun Canghai and the Yun family. It can leave Yun Che's body as a controllable projection, change its displayed color and output with the Evil God gates, and later evolve into God Manifestation, allowing a divine figure shaped from his power and cognition to fight beside him. His soul is unusually resistant because of the Dragon God inheritance and repeated tempering, yet soul techniques are not a universal answer: peers with comparable origin, will, or specialized soul defenses can resist them, and maintaining manifested or domain power adds to his overall burden. Sword, movement, medicine, and poison

Yun Che specializes in heavy swords, treating overwhelming weight and momentum as both offense and defense. Dragon Fault is his principal weapon through much of his lower-realm rise. After Hong'er forms a contract with him and consumes Dragon Fault, she becomes the Heaven Smiting Devil Slayer Sword, a living weapon especially destructive to devil power and able to consume other swords. Yun Che combines that weapon with the Evil God's power and the Sirius sword style, producing attacks whose scale can decide battles against stronger cultivators. The style's weakness is the same as its strength: heavy-sword techniques and high gates demand enormous reserves, and a missed decisive strike can leave him depleted. Star God's Broken Shadow, Extreme Mirage Lightning, and Moon Splitting Cascade supply the speed, afterimages, and positioning needed to make those attacks land. His first great discipline is medicine. Training under Yun Gu gives him diagnostic knowledge, acupuncture, pill refinement, anatomical precision, and a healer's ability to read the condition of bodies far above his cultivation. The Sky Poison Pearl supplies purification, storage, refinement, and lethal poison, letting him separate toxins, produce medicines, or threaten enemies through substances conventional defenses may not recognize. Shen Xi later teaches him light profound energy and the Divine Miracle of Life, expanding that foundation into restorative power with extraordinary compatibility for living beings. Healing remains constrained by time, available energy, the patient's surviving vitality, and injuries caused by powers above his comprehension; even the Pearl cannot make every death reversible. Darkness, Nothingness, and abyssal dust

The darkness seed first allows Yun Che to control the devil origin orb within him. Jie Yuan's origin blood and Eternal Calamity of Darkness later give him perfect darkness compatibility and the ability to alter other practitioners' darkness profound energy, a decisive advantage in unifying the Northern Divine Region. The Yama origin powers and Bone Sea cultivation produce the Hell Monarch state, making extreme darkness output persistent and controllable rather than a single borrowed surge. This mastery is strongest over the known darkness profound system; it does not imply command of every ancient devil power, and God Ash remains a separate, self-destructive use of Star God origins. The completed World-Defying Heaven Manual grants Yun Che a deeper relationship with the Laws of Nothingness. After the Ancestral God's sacrifice recreates his body, the Sacred Body of Nothingness can survive conditions and assimilate powers that would reject an ordinary cultivator. In the Abyss, that structure lets him resist and displace diluted abyssal dust and begin touching the Power of Extinction. His earth seed and completed Heretic God veins make this possible, but the ability is explicitly developmental: he can manipulate limited quantities and conceal unusual reactions, not freely command the Abyss's full extinction power. His latest stable cultivation is the fourth level of the Divine Master Realm, supplemented by ten apparent divine essences, the Godbearer presentation, his completed elemental structure, and techniques whose combat ceiling still rises far beyond the realm name. Relationships

• Jasmine is Yun Che's first profound master and the person most responsible for the shape of his early cultivation. Their initial bargain becomes fierce mutual devotion; separation, her sacrifice, and her fate in the Star God Realm drive several of his most consequential choices.
• Xia Qingyue is his first wife and one of his deepest unresolved bonds. Distance, conflicting duties, and her carefully constructed appearance of betrayal turn affection into hatred, but later revelations show that she protected his home and accepted condemnation to preserve him.
• Qianye Ying’er begins as a hated enemy and coerced partner. Exile, paired cultivation, and war transform the relationship into strategic equality and intimate loyalty, even though neither loses the capacity to manipulate the other.
• Mu Xuanyin is his master in Snow Song Realm. Her discipline restrains his recklessness, her protection repeatedly saves him, and the depth of her personal attachment becomes clear through sacrifice and later revelation.
• Cang Yue, Feng Xue’er, and the Little Demon Empress connect Yun Che to the Blue Wind Empire, Divine Phoenix Empire, and Illusory Demon Realm. Each relationship begins amid political danger and becomes a personal partnership in which affection and sovereign responsibility cannot be separated.
• Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi are the family who raised him, while Yun Qinghong is his biological father. Yun Che treats both households as fully his own; threats against either are among the surest triggers for his most extreme retaliation.
• Chu Yuechan is the mother of Yun Wuxin. Finding them after years of separation gives Yun Che a daughter and makes the peaceful family life he protects more tangible.
• Chi Wuyao, Shui Meiyin, and Caizhi are indispensable architects and combatants in his war against the divine regions. Their independent judgment prevents his revenge from remaining a solitary campaign and helps turn victory into a functioning imperial order.
• Shen Xi teaches Yun Che light profound energy and the Divine Miracle of Life. He Ling becomes the Sky Poison Pearl's poison spirit and a close companion whose loyalty is bound to both shared loss and Yun Che's campaign against the powers responsible for the wood spirits' suffering.
• Hua Caili becomes Yun Che's closest bond in his early Abyssal journey, protecting his breakthrough and drawing him into the politics of a Kingdom of God. Li Suo links his present path to primordial history and to powers beyond the standard profound system.
