Feng Xue’er

Feng Xue’er is the final complete inheritor of the Divine Phoenix Empire’s Ancestral Phoenix Spirit. First sheltered as the revered Princess Snow, she becomes the Phoenix Goddess, compels her own sect to answer for its invasion of Blue Wind, repeatedly protects Yun Che and his family, and ultimately carries her inheritance into the Flame God Realm.

Biography

Princess Snow and the Phoenix inheritance

Feng Xue’er is chosen by the Ancestral Phoenix Spirit at birth and spends most of her childhood apart from ordinary society. The spirit keeps her by its side, teaches her, and eventually gives her all of its remaining Phoenix blood, origin energy, soul energy, and memories. Feng Hengkong and the Divine Phoenix elders consequently treat her not merely as a princess but as the future of their sect, surrounding her with such extreme protection that she reaches sixteen without having traveled beyond Divine Phoenix City or faced danger independently. Her first meetings with Yun Che in Phoenix Perching Valley appeal to the curiosity that this confinement has left unsatisfied: the snow he creates realizes a dream she has never been permitted to pursue, while his stories show her a world beyond the valley. Although Yun Che introduces himself under a false identity, Feng Xue’er recognizes that his Phoenix mark includes the soul and origin energy of another Phoenix Spirit. She does not expose him. Trusting the judgment of the divine spirit that chose him, and believing that a Phoenix successor should possess the Phoenix art, she imprints the first four stages of the World Ode of the Phoenix into his mind. At the Seven Nation Ranking Tournament she is then ordered to restore the sect’s honor by defeating him. Instead, she reveals her half-step Sovereign cultivation, rejects the idea that fear and dominance constitute true dignity, and publicly surrenders. Her choice places conscience above the pride of the empire that has worshiped her since birth. (Chapters 421–422 and 448–450)

Feng Xue’er’s wish to begin making her own decisions leads her onto the Primordial Profound Ark. There, Feng Feiyan betrays her and seals her profound strength so that Ye Xinghan can seize her. Yun Che shields the powerless Xue’er, kills their pursuers, and gives her his only means of escape even though it strands him inside the ark. Before sending her away, he imprints the lost fifth and sixth stages of the World Ode into her soul. Xue’er returns physically safe but devastated by the apparent cost of her survival; she collapses and remains unconscious for three years while the new Phoenix art drives an unexpectedly early awakening of her inherited soul. Awakening, judgment, and atonement

When Feng Xue’er wakes, Yun Che’s presumed death has changed the sheltered girl who once knew almost nothing of grief. She retains her gentleness, but the emptiness Feng Hengkong sees in her reflects a loss she cannot simply accept. Upon Yun Che’s return and assault on Divine Phoenix City, she runs to him despite her family’s commands. Yun Che lets her experience his memories of the Blue Wind invasion, and she responds by condemning the war rather than excusing her father. When the sect tries to kill him after he offers terms, Xue’er stands between them, shields him with her own body and flames, and refuses to let filial loyalty erase the suffering of Blue Wind. (Chapters 650 and 721–723)

That confrontation completes the first great awakening of her Phoenix Soul. The eighth-level Sovereign power and divine bloodline authority released around her can repel the gathered sect, suppress its inherited flames, and seal Feng Hengkong’s profound energy before he can destroy his own veins. Xue’er uses that superiority to end the cycle of revenge rather than dominate: she prevents both Yun Che’s destruction of the Divine Phoenix Sect and her father’s attempted self-punishment, while requiring withdrawal, reparations, and accountability. Her intervention preserves the sect, but on moral terms its own rulers had failed to impose. (Chapters 724–725)

Feng Xue’er then accompanies Feng Hengkong to Blue Wind Imperial City and kneels before Cang Yue, offering to bear punishment for the empire’s crimes. Cang Yue does not make the daughter answer for the father; instead, she accepts Xue’er’s residence in Blue Wind and her eventual marriage to Yun Che as the personal bond Xue’er already desires. Xue’er’s willingness to atone turns a political settlement into a lasting relationship between the former enemy courts. Life in the Snow Region of Extreme Ice also gives her the freedom and snow-filled world she once imagined from Phoenix Perching Valley. (Chapters 727–733)

Poison, war, and the Phoenix Goddess

After Moonflower leaves Yun Che dying from Heavenly Poison, Feng Xue’er refuses to accept that nothing can save him. The Golden Crow Spirit explains that her Phoenix vital yin can kindle a single Flame of Nirvana in his body, but doing so will consume the rebirth that her complete inheritance could otherwise grant her. She chooses Yun Che’s life without hesitation. The resulting Dragon–Phoenix dual cultivation purges the poison, keeps him alive, and accelerates the awakening of her own inherited power, but it permanently leaves her with only one life. Her choice is therefore both rescue and irreversible sacrifice, not an ordinary healing technique. (Chapters 851–852, 864–865, 1357, and 1958)

Xue’er and the Little Demon Empress then fight beside Yun Che against Xuanyuan Wentian. Xue’er is powerful enough to protect large groups with Phoenix barriers and to challenge the strongest lower-realm enemies, but Wentian’s half-step divine power can still injure her with a single direct clash. As her Phoenix God power continues awakening, she later destroys Ye Meixie and the attacking Sacred Ground forces with a manifested Phoenix, saving Divine Phoenix, Absolute Monarch Sanctuary, and Supreme Ocean Palace. Even then she corrects the assumption that her inheritance has finished maturing: it has surpassed the deceased Phoenix Spirit in usable power, but several years of awakening remain. With the lower-realm war ended, Xue’er becomes both Yun Che’s sparring partner and one of the stabilizing powers of the Profound Sky Continent. Six months of training against her helps him climb through the Sovereign Profound Realm, while she continues moving toward the divine way. During Yun Che’s absence in the God Realm, the public comes to regard her as the Phoenix Goddess and the strongest profound practitioner in the continent’s history. She nevertheless treats weaker Phoenix descendants such as Feng Zu’er and Feng Xian’er as kin, offers them the Divine Phoenix Sect’s help, and honors Yun Che’s concern for their isolated clan. Guardian of Blue Pole Star

While Yun Che remains away, Feng Xue’er shares responsibility for threats that no ordinary lower-realm force can investigate. When profound beasts begin rampaging across distant regions, she reassures Cang Yue, personally plans a fifty-thousand-kilometer search of the Eastern Sea, and compares findings with the Little Demon Empress. Her divine cultivation makes her the planet’s strongest defender, but the unexplained disturbance also demonstrates the limit of power without knowledge: she cannot identify an aura or energy behind the beasts and treats the uncertainty more seriously than a visible enemy. (Chapter 1321)

Yun Che’s return after the Star God Realm disaster restores the person Xue’er had again believed lost. She welcomes Yun Wuxin into the family and becomes her master in the World Ode of the Phoenix. Her protection of Yun Che is no longer passive devotion. When the God Realm cultivator Lin Qingrou attacks him, Xue’er pursues her in fury and uses the purity of her bloodline and Phoenix art to suppress an opponent two levels above her, although her limited combat experience leaves her vulnerable to the woman’s sudden first strike and a Divine Soul opponent can immobilize her outright. Soon afterward, Yun Che uses Divine Water of Life and Dragon Dawn Jade Nectar to raise her from the third level to the peak of the Divine Origin Realm, a hair below Divine Soul. Xue’er continues to answer both family and continental responsibilities. She detects and responds to renewed beast rampages around Divine Phoenix City, while the household begins arranging the formal marriage promised since the Blue Wind settlement. These scenes show the two identities she no longer needs to separate: to the continent she is an almost divine guardian, but among Yun Che’s family she can be an affectionate daughter, partner, and teacher whose wishes are considered alongside the political meaning of her name. Separation and homecoming

When Blue Pole Star is hidden from the God Realm and Yun Che disappears into the Northern Divine Region, Feng Xue’er spends five years without proof of when he will return. She refuses to resent him, believing that only necessity could keep him from the family. Rather than remain suspended in grief, she devotes herself to Yun Wuxin’s training. By Wuxin’s twentieth year, Xue’er has brought her so far through the World Ode that little remains for her to teach, while also restraining the young woman’s urge to injure herself through overtraining. Her patient confidence helps Wuxin endure an absence that echoes Xue’er’s own earlier losses. (Chapter 1883)

Yun Che’s return confirms that faith, and Feng Xue’er makes room for father and daughter to reunite before claiming her own welcome. In the peace after the imperial war, Phoenix Perching Valley becomes not a prison but her chosen home and teaching ground. She continues instructing Wuxin and lives openly as Yun Che’s wife, retaining the tenderness of Princess Snow without surrendering the judgment and responsibility she acquired as the Phoenix Goddess. A future for the Phoenix flame

Huo Poyun’s death defending the world leaves the Flame God Realm without its king and without a living Golden Crow inheritance to sustain its hopes. Yun Che brings Xue’er before the three sect masters because her complete Phoenix inheritance has the same foundational purity as Huo Poyun’s legacy, although the lower-realm environment has held her cultivation far below his. Xue’er does not allow the proposal to be framed as an order from her husband. She states that joining the Flame God Realm is her own wish: the Phoenix blessed her without condition, and preserving its flame is the first way she has found to repay that gift. She asks Yan Juehai to teach her the World Ode of the Phoenix and formally offers to become part of his realm. Her presence relights the confidence extinguished by Huo Poyun’s death, while her position beside Emperor Yun gives the realm protection beyond the value of her cultivation alone. This decision carries Xue’er beyond the inherited institutions of the Divine Phoenix Sect without rejecting her origins. By the latest account, she is alive, remains at peak Divine Origin, and begins a new phase as the Flame God Realm’s divine daughter of the Phoenix. (Chapter 1971)

Appearance and personality

Feng Xue’er is repeatedly described as possessing beauty so extraordinary that observers compare her to a celestial or a figure from a dream. She has snow-pale skin, a slender figure, glossy white hands, bright star-like eyes, and a gentle voice. As Princess Snow she conceals her face beneath a phoenix jade-glass coronet, making her covered silhouette famous before most people have seen her features. She commonly wears red or gold Phoenix robes, although she also takes pleasure in the white robes and endless snow of Frozen Cloud Asgard. When her Phoenix Soul manifests at full intensity, her hair turns flame-crimson and the dignity of her eyes and aura becomes markedly more imposing. (Chapters 425, 448, 721, 724, 727, 739, and 1126)

Her early innocence is a product of isolation, but it is not mindlessness. Xue’er is curious, trusting, and inexperienced with ordinary social life, yet she recognizes Yun Che’s deception and deliberately chooses mercy because she judges his motives and the Phoenix Spirit’s choice for herself. Her definition of honor centers on kindness, forgiveness, and being loved rather than feared. That conviction allows her to surrender publicly, condemn her own nation’s crimes, and kneel to a former enemy even when every custom surrounding her says she is above judgment. Loss gives her gentleness greater resolve. Xue’er can feel grief, jealousy, embarrassment, and killing intent, but her usual response to power is protection rather than conquest. She saves both Yun Che and the family that wronged him, accepts the permanent cost of using her Flame of Nirvana, and later chooses responsibility for the future of the Phoenix inheritance. Her devotion to Yun Che is unwavering, though not wholly dependent: when he invites her to reconsider joining the Flame God Realm, she insists that the decision comes from her own heart. Abilities and cultivation

Complete Phoenix inheritance

The Ancestral Phoenix Spirit chooses Feng Xue’er on the day of her birth and eventually transfers all of its remaining blood, origin energy, soul energy, memories, and will to her. This makes her inheritance qualitatively different from the diluted bloodline passed through ordinary Divine Phoenix Sect descendants. Her body, soul, and flames carry the Phoenix’s divine nature, allowing her to recognize other direct successors and exert bloodline pressure even across a cultivation disadvantage. The inheritance is complete in what it contains but gradual in what her mortal body can release; first her Phoenix Soul awakens, then the deeper Phoenix God power continues maturing over years. (Chapters 450, 457, 466, 724, and 852)

That purity gives Xue’er authority over lesser Phoenix lineages. She can make their blood and souls tremble, suppress their flames, seal Feng Hengkong’s circulating profound energy with a glance, and overwhelm a stronger fire cultivator whose lineage lacks comparable divine authority. Against unrelated powers, however, bloodline superiority does not erase realm gaps. Xuanyuan Wentian can seriously wound her while holding half-step divine power, and a Divine Soul cultivator can immobilize her at third-level Divine Origin. The lower realm’s environment likewise limits the rate at which her inheritance becomes cultivation, a constraint that remains visible when she joins the Flame God Realm. World Ode of the Phoenix and divine flame

Xue’er learns the first four stages of the World Ode of the Phoenix from the spirit that raised her. Yun Che later returns the lost fifth and sixth stages by imprinting their formulas into her soul. Those stages deepen her control of Phoenix flame and accelerate the awakening of the Phoenix Soul that had been expected to take a century. By the period after the imperial war, she has enough mastery to teach the art systematically to Yun Wuxin, though her request to study under Yan Juehai shows that she still sees room to refine her understanding within the God Realm. Her demonstrated techniques cover focused attack, mass destruction, flight, and defense. Empyrean Dance of the Phoenix Wing turns her into a rushing phoenix-shaped strike; Star Scorching Demon Lotus unfolds as a vast field of flame capable of erasing an island’s surface; Phoenix arrows deliver concentrated ranged force; and her manifested Phoenix can descend across a battlefield in an all-consuming sea of fire. She can also form barriers large enough to shelter groups from distant darkness energy. These arts still consume profound energy and can produce backlash when she meets superior force: her full-power charge against Xuanyuan Wentian leaves her internally injured, and sufficiently strong barriers or divine realms can withstand even her pure flame. Phoenix Soul, perception, and support

The awakened Phoenix Soul supplies more than raw flame. Its manifested image carries spiritual pressure, extends Xue’er’s awareness, and lets her distinguish Phoenix blood, soul, and aura with exceptional sensitivity. She senses distant disturbances, detects powerful arrivals, and patrols vast sea regions at divine speed. Her senses are nevertheless evidence-driven rather than omniscient: the planet-wide beast disturbances trouble her precisely because repeated searches reveal no identifiable aura or cause. Xue’er can use Phoenix vital energy for support as well as destruction. She transfers it into the exhausted Little Demon Empress to stabilize her condition, carries and shields allies with profound energy, and adjusts her attacks to repel rather than burn when protecting Yun Che from her own sect. Her comparative lack of practical combat experience is an explicit limitation after entering the divine way; a weaker but more seasoned attacker can exploit her expectation of good faith, although once engaged her bloodline and art allow her to reverse a two-level disadvantage. Flame of Nirvana

Because she inherits an entire Phoenix Spirit rather than only its blood, Xue’er possesses the potential for the Phoenix’s one-use nirvanic flame. The Golden Crow Spirit explains that her Phoenix vital yin can ignite a weak form inside Yun Che, where its ultimate cleansing power can disperse Heavenly Poison far beyond Xue’er’s cultivation. She accepts the cost and uses it to save him. The flame succeeds in purging the poison and later contributes to his own incomplete rebirth, but its expenditure means Xue’er can no longer return to life through Phoenix Nirvana if she dies. The ability is therefore no longer available in her latest state. (Chapters 852, 864–865, 1357, and 1958)

Latest cultivation and training

Xue’er enters the story at half-step Sovereign Profound Realm, reaches the eighth level when her Phoenix Soul awakens, and later becomes the first true divine-way profound practitioner in the Profound Sky Continent. At third-level Divine Origin she can suppress a fifth-level Divine Origin fire cultivator through superior bloodline and art, but not bridge the gap to Divine Soul through determination alone. Divine Water of Life and Dragon Dawn Jade Nectar subsequently raise her to the peak of Divine Origin, just short of Divine Soul. No later exact advancement is established; the description that she has only recently entered the divine way in comparison with God Realm experts is consistent with that latest formal realm. • Yun Che: Xue’er recognizes him as another direct Phoenix successor, teaches him the first four stages of the World Ode, and falls in love after he repeatedly protects her at the cost of his own safety. She later saves him with her one-use Flame of Nirvana, becomes his fiancée and wife, trains beside him, and trusts his loyalty through years of separation. He returns the lost Phoenix stages, hastens her inheritance, and eventually helps her establish a future in the Flame God Realm. (Chapters 419–471, 724–733, 851–865, 1883, and 1970–1971)

• Feng Hengkong: Her father loves her more than his throne or sect, but his extreme protection confines her and his war against Blue Wind violates the morality he helped nurture. Xue’er condemns his choices, stops his attempt to destroy his own cultivation, and forces restitution without abandoning him. Their bond survives the reckoning, and he later supports her marriage to Yun Che. (Chapters 419, 456, 721–730, and 1500)

• Cang Yue: Xue’er approaches the Blue Wind empress as the daughter of the invader and kneels to accept punishment. Cang Yue separates personal guilt from political responsibility, accepts the reparations, and welcomes Xue’er into Yun Che’s household. • Little Demon Empress: They become fellow protectors of Yun Che and the lower realms. The Little Demon Empress helps Xue’er carry out the Dragon–Phoenix method that saves him, and the two fight Xuanyuan Wentian together before coordinating the defense of Blue Pole Star during Yun Che’s absences. • Yun Wuxin: Xue’er accepts Yun Che’s daughter without rivalry and becomes her master in the World Ode of the Phoenix. During Yun Che’s five-year absence she channels her own patience into Wuxin’s training, advancing her technique while preventing grief from becoming self-destructive overwork. • Huo Poyun: Their complete divine-beast inheritances parallel one another even though they do not build a close personal bond.
