Xia Qingyue

Xia Qingyue is Yun Che's first wife, a former successor of Frozen Cloud Asgard, the youngest Moon God Emperor, and the woman later known in the Abyss as Shenwu Yi, the Eternal Night Divine Daughter. Born with both the Heart of Snow Glazed Glass and the Nine Profound Exquisite Body, she rises from Floating Cloud City to a God Emperor's throne while repeatedly placing family, sect, and realm above her own happiness.

Her apparent destruction of Blue Pole Star and betrayal of Yun Che conceal her greatest act of protection. Later revelations identify her as the Artifact of Fate, a life created to bind Yun Che to extraordinary fortune at the cost of her own calamity. Her fall into the Abyss does not create a separate person: Shenwu Yi is Xia Qingyue herself, alive in the same body and soul but without accessible memories of her earlier life. The proof of that continuity and her decision to act on it make her current existence a continuation of Xia Qingyue's story rather than a replacement for it.

Biography

Marriage in Floating Cloud City

Xia Qingyue grows up as the daughter of merchant Xia Hongyi and the elder sister of Xia Yuanba. She is promised to Xiao Che because his father, Xiao Ying, saved her life shortly after her birth. By sixteen she is already the foremost young talent and beauty of Floating Cloud City, but she enters the marriage neither for rank nor affection. She intends to honor her father's promise, repay the debt to Xiao Ying, and then follow her master Chu Yueli to Frozen Cloud Asgard. She does not despise Xiao Che for his damaged profound veins, even while insisting that her Frozen Cloud path leaves no place for ordinary marital love. (Chapters 1–8)

The wedding begins to unsettle that certainty. Xia Qingyue immediately recognizes that Xiao Che's veins were damaged rather than naturally crippled and sees through the pride and composure hidden beneath his weak cultivation. She asks Chu Yueli to delay their departure so that leaving on the wedding day will not deepen his humiliation, searches for him when he disappears at night, and protects him from Xiao Clan violence. When he offers to open her profound entrances through acupuncture, she accepts the risk, gradually trusts his medical judgment, and cares for him after the treatments exhaust him. Her concern remains restrained, but it is already expressed through action rather than admission. (Chapters 7–21)

Yun Che's treatment permanently opens all fifty-four of her profound entrances, giving her the Heavenly God's Spiritual Veins. Xia Qingyue conceals his role from Chu Yueli, claiming that a mysterious physician was responsible because revealing his abilities would expose him to danger. She also tries to obtain materials that might repair his veins and leaves Floating Cloud City with tears she does not allow others to see. The marriage that was meant to settle an old debt therefore becomes the first relationship capable of disturbing the emotional stillness she has cultivated since childhood. (Chapters 37–38)

Frozen Cloud prodigy and the Heaven Basin

At the Blue Wind ranking tournament, Xia Qingyue enters as a Spirit Profound Realm level-eight disciple while using a white jade pendant to suppress her real aura. She defeats Xiao Kuanglei through cold energy fine enough to enter his meridians without immediate detection, then removes the pendant and reveals Earth Profound Realm level three. Her mastery advances from the Ice Lotus stages of the Frozen Cloud Arts to its sixth and seventh stages, and the Nine Profound Exquisite Body lets her form a complete Frozen Cloud Domain at a realm where such a feat should be impossible. That advantage is not free: the domain can be sustained for only about twenty breaths, consumes most of her strength, and injures her profound veins through backlash. (Chapters 206, 224–245)

Her final tournament battle against Yun Che makes their marriage public in a new way. Both fight seriously, but Xia Qingyue apologizes before using the Frozen Cloud Domain, and Yun Che defeats her after enduring it. She later follows him in secret when he leaves the villa wounded, rescues him from Mu Tianbei, and stays long enough to ensure he is safe. Their encounter with the Emperor Awakening Heart Lotus forces another reversal: Yun Che refines the treasure and has her consume it to save her life, carrying her directly into the Emperor Profound Realm. Xia Qingyue publicly credits him for the advance rather than allowing Frozen Cloud Asgard to claim the achievement. (Chapters 239–275)

In the Heaven Basin, she finally explains why she pursues power so relentlessly. Her mother left when she was four, and Xia Qingyue has sought enough strength to reunite the broken family ever since; she has suppressed tears and smiles because attachment has always seemed inseparable from loss. Yun Che's apparent death soon afterward exposes how incomplete that suppression is. She becomes visibly devastated, supports Xia Yuanba through his grief, and lets him depart in search of strength rather than holding him to her side. Frozen Cloud Asgard nonetheless names her first among the Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies and its future mistress. (Chapters 274, 279–284)

Frozen End and the fall of the Asgard

Xia Qingyue clears thirty-three floors of Ice Purgatory, surpassing every Frozen Cloud practitioner of the previous nine centuries and beginning to comprehend the Frozen End Divine Art. When Ling Tianni moves against Yun Che, she intervenes at Emperor Profound Realm level four, openly identifies him as her husband, and refuses to stand aside even against the Sword Saint. Her use of Frozen End turns the sect's lost divine inheritance into a living art, while her decision shows that responsibility to Frozen Cloud no longer erases her personal loyalty. (Chapters 323, 359–361)

As Young Asgard Mistress, she is increasingly treated as the sect's irreplaceable future. That status becomes a burden when hostile powers invade Frozen Cloud Asgard. Xia Qingyue reaches the threshold of the Tyrant Profound Realm and refuses to abandon her teachers and sect sisters, declaring that she will live or die with them. Gong Yuxian, Chu Yueli, and the others reject that choice on her behalf. They force her into a one-person escape formation so their inheritance can survive even if the sect does not. (Chapters 393, 601–612)

The formation sends her far beyond Blue Pole Star rather than to a nearby refuge. On her first day in the God Realm, two attackers nearly capture her; she prepares to end her own life rather than be taken before Yue Wuya, the Moon God Emperor, intervenes. He recognizes the Heart of Snow Glazed Glass, rescues her, and brings her to the Moon God Realm. The displacement saves her life but severs her from Frozen Cloud Asgard and begins a long interval of cultivation whose intermediate divine stages occur away from those she left behind. Her mother and the Moon God bargain

In the Moon God Realm, Xia Qingyue finally finds her mother, Yue Wugou. The reunion fulfills the goal that shaped her entire cultivation, but it also reveals that her mother's years of separation were bound to suffering, lost power, and Yue Wuya's grief. Yue Wuya offers Xia Qingyue an empty title as Moon God Empress and the future Purple Pylon inheritance. She initially refuses. She accepts only after deciding that extraordinary gifts without matching strength will keep turning her and those around her into targets, and she imposes conditions that exclude a genuine marital relationship. Yue Wuya then guides her personally and commits rare Moon God resources to her growth. (Chapters 1919–1922)

The planned imperial wedding collides with her existing marriage when Yun Che identifies himself publicly as her lawful husband. Rather than complete a false ceremony or allow the Moon God Realm to kill him, Xia Qingyue takes him into the Vanishing Moon Celestial Palace and escapes. When Qianye Ying'er inflicts the Brahma Soul Death-Wishing Mark, Xia Qingyue seeks Shen Xi and begs for his life to be saved. She then returns to accept Yue Wuya's punishment instead of leaving her mother and benefactor to bear the political consequences. Yue Wuya forgives her, recognizing that the nominal marriage was never meant to demand her heart. (Chapters 1275–1300)

Yue Wugou's death closes the reunion almost as soon as it is achieved. During the Evil Infant calamity, Yue Wuya is mortally wounded and directly transfers the Purple Pylon divine power and Moon God inheritance to Xia Qingyue. She accepts the Imperial Moon Glazed Pearl and succeeds him as Moon God Emperor. Within days she destroys a succession plot, and within two years she subdues the opposition left in a realm that initially sees her as an isolated outsider. The daughter who sought strength to restore one family is left carrying an entire king realm instead. (Chapters 1353–1354, 1421, and 1922–1923)

The youngest Moon God Emperor

The Nine Profound Exquisite Body lets Xia Qingyue assimilate Yue Wuya's transplanted power far more quickly and completely than an ordinary inheritor. After three years she can wield the Purple Light Moon Barrier and Purple Pylon divine sword strongly enough to check Qianye Ying'er. She becomes the youngest God Emperor, rules without a traditional Moon God bloodline faction of her own, and protects the Snow Song Realm by warning Luo Guxie away from it. Her public manner becomes colder and more absolute because visible attachment would expose both Yun Che and the Moon God Realm. (Chapters 1417–1421)

Xia Qingyue uses that imperial position to avenge Yue Wugou and Yue Wuya. She gathers hidden recordings and political leverage, exploits the Brahma Monarch Realm's internal ambitions, and maneuvers Qianye Ying'er into surrendering both power and freedom to Yun Che. The plan does not depend on defeating Qianye by force alone; it turns Qianye's own value to Qianye Fantian into the pressure that strips her of protection. Xia Qingyue thereby resolves her foster father's final grievance while placing a dangerous former enemy under the control of the person she trusts to survive her. (Chapters 1467–1487; Chapter 1923)

Her conversations with Yun Che remain guarded but repeatedly reveal what the imperial mask conceals. She understands his refusal to abandon Jasmine, protects his home and allies without claiming credit, and continues to assess dangers he cannot yet see. This habit of hidden preparation culminates after the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor decides to leave the Primal Chaos. The Devil Emperor identifies Xia Qingyue as an Artifact of Fate and entrusts her with the World Piercer and the final portion of the World-Defying Heaven Manual, forcing her to confront a truth about her existence that no ordinary ambition can answer. The false betrayal and the Moon's demise

Once the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor departs, the king realms turn against Yun Che. Xia Qingyue appears to join them: she announces the end of their marriage, seems to destroy Blue Pole Star before his eyes, and helps drive him toward the Northern Divine Region. To Yun Che, the act is a betrayal greater than any political enemy could commit. In reality, Xia Qingyue has already used the World Piercer to exchange Blue Pole Star with the similar Sky Water Star across nearly half the Primal Chaos. The feat nearly empties her power, drenches her in blood, and heavily damages the World Piercer's spirit, but it saves his family and home before the orthodox realms can reach them. The deception serves more than immediate rescue. Xia Qingyue knows that Yun Che cannot survive the united king realms while remaining emotionally tied to the Eastern Divine Region, so she makes herself the final proof that he has nowhere left to return. She plants intelligence throughout the Eastern Divine Region, watches the routes by which his enemies might pursue him, and secretly arranges contingencies with Shui Meiyin. Her cruelty is calculated to force him toward the darkness power and allies of the north, but it also ensures that any vengeance he later seeks will fall on her name rather than on the world she preserved. (Chapters 1581–1608 and 1924–1925)

Before Yun Che's imperial war reaches the Moon God Realm, Xia Qingyue evacuates its essential people, entrusts the Imperial Moon Glazed Pearl to Yue Wuji, and relinquishes her title. She asks Shui Meiyin to preserve the truth and one day restore what can be restored. In their final battle, she allows Yun Che to overcome her and falls by choice into the Abyss of Nothingness. The apparent destruction of the Moon God Emperor is therefore the last stage of a plan that saves Blue Pole Star, preserves the realm's living core, and gives Yun Che the unrestrained path to become supreme. Artifact of Fate

The truth revealed after her fall establishes that Xia Qingyue was created through the Ancestral Will's Chain of Fate. When the original Xiao Che died, the will behind Xiao Lingxi's one-thousandth incarnation demanded a life capable of protecting him and binding his future to extraordinary fortune. The new life was shaped with Yue Wugou's blood, Yue Wuya's Moon God lineage, and primordial energy taken from Xia Yuanba, then placed within Floating Cloud City's existing relationships as Xia Hongyi's daughter and Yun Che's future wife. The Mirror of Samsara served as the medium joining their fates. (Chapters 1930–1931)

That origin does not make her an illusion or strip her choices of meaning. The Ancestral Will does not control her emotions, and it cannot determine what she will become. The Chain instead balances Yun Che's fortune against Xia Qingyue's calamity: the stronger and more successful he becomes, the more loss accumulates around her. Her Heart of Snow Glazed Glass eventually lets her perceive enough of the pattern to believe that her continued existence threatens the people she loves. She does not reject the benefits that have already protected Yun Che; she rejects only the demand that her tragedy continue without an ending of her own choosing. (Chapters 1923, 1930–1931)

Yun Che learns that the betrayal he hated was an act of protection and that much of his rise was built on losses she deliberately carried alone. He grants her the title Divine Empress and vows to restore the Moon God Realm. The Ancestral Will believes Xia Qingyue dead and the Chain ended, yet the crack that appears on the Mirror of Samsara leaves the result uncertain even before later events prove that the Abyss did not erase her. Her choice breaks the expected conclusion of the Artifact of Fate without erasing the life, relationships, and will that preceded it. (Chapters 1931–1934)

Shenwu Yi in the Abyss

Xia Qingyue survives the Abyss and is found unconscious within the Endless Fog by Shenwu Youluan. She awakens with no memory preceding that rescue and is given the name Shenwu Yi, “Without Memories.” Shenwu Yanye recognizes the Nine Profound Exquisite Body and seizes her for the God Bearer program, subjecting her to twenty years of cultivation through seven profound formations. The training carries her from peak Divine Master to the Divine Extinction Realm, but it does not restore her past. The unexplained difference between the time since her fall and the twenty years she remembers remains unresolved. (Chapters 2104, 2128–2129, and 2181)

When Yun Che recognizes the Eternal Night Divine Daughter as Xia Qingyue, she has no reason to accept his claim and is ordered to kill him. Nevertheless, her Heartless Sword stops short of the fatal stroke twice. He recounts their marriage and produces the original certificate; the fingerprints preserved on it match both her hand and the bloodied fragment of his sleeve from their wedding. The proof establishes bodily continuity, while the involuntary restraint of her sword and the judgment of her soul support what memory cannot supply. Shenwu Yi is not a reincarnation, copy, or successor to Xia Qingyue, but Xia Qingyue herself after an unaccounted survival and total amnesia. (Chapters 2161–2165)

She accepts the evidence and Yun Che's account without pretending to recover feelings she cannot remember. Xia Qingyue chooses to cooperate with him against the Abyss and Eternal Night because his words, the certificate, and her own instincts align, but she insists that the present self called Shenwu Yi has lived a different conscious life. This distinction is psychological rather than metaphysical: the same body, soul, physiques, power, restraint, and patterns of judgment continue through the missing memories. By the latest events she remains Eternal Night Divine Daughter, sixth-level Divine Extinction practitioner, and Yun Che's concealed ally. (Chapters 2180–2181)

Appearance and personality

Xia Qingyue has long, soft black hair, snow-white skin, rosy lips, a fine nose, clear deep eyes, and a slender, graceful figure. Her beauty is renowned from Floating Cloud City to the God Realm, but her bearing is defined as much by stillness as by physical features. At her wedding she wears a red bridal robe, phoenix coronet, jade ornaments, and golden shoes; in later life she favors simple moon-white robes and restrained purple accents that suit both Frozen Cloud discipline and Moon God authority. (Chapters 5–6, 1283, and 1923)

Her appearance changes in presentation rather than identity as Shenwu Yi. In the Abyss she adopts Eternal Night's darker dress and carries the severe, remote presence of its Divine Daughter, while retaining the same black hair, lunar clarity, and exceptional beauty Yun Che recognizes. Neither memory loss nor Divine Extinction cultivation alters the body confirmed by the marriage certificate. (Chapters 2128–2129 and 2165)

Xia Qingyue is quiet, perceptive, dutiful, and exceptionally difficult to deceive. Even at sixteen she detects the external destruction of Yun Che's veins and the pride beneath his disguise within moments. She rarely states affection directly, preferring to delay a departure, guard a secret, seek medicine, follow someone in danger, or accept punishment on another's behalf. Her reserve can be mistaken for indifference because she deliberately makes emotion subordinate to what she believes must be done. (Chapters 6–21, 37–38, and 253–275)

The disappearance of her mother teaches her to seek control through power and to suppress outward grief. That discipline produces extraordinary courage and leadership, but also an isolating habit of deciding alone which truths others can bear. As Moon God Emperor she becomes a master of long preparation, leverage, and misdirection; the same ability that saves Blue Pole Star also lets her wound Yun Che more deeply than any enemy. Her central contradiction is therefore not coldness against love, but love expressed through secrecy so complete that it resembles cruelty. (Chapters 274, 1417–1487, and 1923–1926)

Amnesia preserves that pattern in altered form. Shenwu Yi refuses to claim a past she cannot recall, yet she remains composed under impossible revelations, tests evidence before choosing, and cannot complete an order that violates the judgment of her body and soul. Her insistence on distinguishing present consciousness from remembered identity is not rejection of Xia Qingyue; it is the same demand for emotional honesty that shaped her earlier restraint. Abilities and cultivation

Heart of Snow Glazed Glass

The Heart of Snow Glazed Glass is an innate state of perception and comprehension. It gives Xia Qingyue extraordinary memory, insight into natural laws, sensitivity to intention and change, and an ability to understand profound arts far faster than ordinary practitioners. Before its nature is publicly recognized, it appears through her immediate diagnosis of Yun Che's damaged veins, rapid ascent through Frozen Cloud Arts, and ability to form techniques beyond her formal realm. In the God Realm, its awakening identifies her as a “woman of glazed glass,” a figure whose insight can affect the fate of an era. (Chapters 7, 226, and 1275)

The heart does not provide omniscience. Xia Qingyue can perceive structures and implications without receiving a complete explanation, and her interpretation of the Chain of Fate leads her toward sacrifice rather than an effortless escape from it. Its latest martial evolution is Glazed Glass Ice. Rather than functioning only as ordinary cold, this power diminishes the strength and profound energy of hostile forces at a conceptual level, allowing her to contend across a Divine Extinction level difference. Its demonstrated effect is clear, but its ultimate range and limits remain unknown. (Chapters 1923, 2142, and 2181)

Nine Profound Exquisite Body

The Nine Profound Exquisite Body contains an Exquisite World that removes ordinary bodily restrictions on the storage, circulation, and assimilation of profound power. It allows Xia Qingyue to cross bottlenecks unusually quickly, use the complete Frozen Cloud Domain while still at Earth Profound Realm, and transplant Yue Wuya's Purple Pylon power with an efficiency impossible for a normal inheritor. The body supports power that exceeds the vessel's apparent realm, but it does not eliminate the strain of individual techniques: her early domain still empties most of her reserves and damages her veins. In the Abyss, the same physique makes her a uniquely valuable God Bearer and the target of Shenwu Yanye's coercion. Her developed control allows her to shift among Exquisite Profound Worlds, a spatial and internal manipulation beyond the early use of a single Exquisite World. This growth supports her Divine Extinction cultivation, yet the process is achieved through two decades of forced formation training rather than the physique granting power without cultivation. Frozen Cloud Arts and domain

Xia Qingyue learns the Frozen Cloud Arts from Chu Yueli and advances through all seven stages. The art produces cold profound energy, ice lotuses, barriers, weapons, and movement techniques such as Frozen Fantasy Snow Dance. Its cold can enter an opponent's meridians without obvious surface injury, freeze wounds and circulation, and combine with the Frozen Cloud Thirteen Sword Styles or the Ice Phoenix Snowflower Ribbon. Her precision lets her defeat opponents while deliberately sparing their lives. (Chapters 14–17, 224–237, and 253–254)

The complete Frozen Cloud Domain changes the surrounding region into an environment under her ice authority, suppressing movement and hostile power throughout its range. At Earth Profound Realm level three she can hold it for only about twenty breaths; one use consumes more than seventy percent of her profound energy, and forcing it against Yun Che causes backlash to her veins. The Nine Profound Exquisite Body makes the domain possible early, but not safe or inexhaustible. Later cultivation removes the youthful realm disparity, although no unlimited duration is established. Frozen End Divine Art

After passing beyond the thirtieth floor of Ice Purgatory, Xia Qingyue begins comprehending Frozen End Divine Art, the lost divine inheritance of Frozen Cloud Asgard. The art manifests ice spirits and structures, freezes profound energy and attacks, and exerts cold on a level distinct from the ordinary Frozen Cloud stages. She demonstrates it while defending Yun Che from Ling Tianni, allowing an Emperor Profound practitioner to confront the Sword Saint and preserve space for her husband to survive. The art is later recognized as related to the Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon, placing Frozen Cloud Asgard's inheritance within a higher divine tradition. Xia Qingyue's use remains shaped by her own profound strength and special physiques; the art gives extraordinary control, not immunity to exhaustion or opponents whose total power overwhelms hers. Her later Moon God and Abyssal abilities expand rather than erase this ice foundation. (Chapters 1277 and 1421)

Purple Pylon Moon God inheritance

Yue Wuya transfers the Purple Pylon divine power directly into Xia Qingyue as he dies. The inheritance gives her the core power and authority of a Moon God Emperor, including the Purple Light Moon Barrier, the Purple Pylon divine sword, imperial pressure, and command of Moon God formations and legacies. Because the transfer is a transplant rather than an ordinary succession, the Nine Profound Exquisite Body determines how much of it she can awaken. Within three years she assimilates far more than the expected fraction and can oppose Qianye Ying'er directly. (Chapters 1353–1354 and 1417)

Her mastery combines inherited force with careful defense and judgment. She protects the Moon God Realm, checks other God Emperor-level powers, and later uses the inheritance to sustain the World Piercer's planetary exchange at devastating personal cost. The power is not identical to an uninterrupted personal cultivation path: her exact intermediate Divine Master levels are not shown, and relinquishing the Imperial Moon Glazed Pearl transfers imperial custody without erasing the cultivation and assimilated force already within her. Divine Extinction power and swordsmanship

Xia Qingyue enters the Abyss at peak Divine Master cultivation. Under the God Bearer program she advances through the first five levels of the Divine Extinction Realm over twenty years and later reaches level six. Her current power supports extreme speed, large-scale sword force, resistance to abyssal conditions, and perception that remains unusually effective under abyssal dust. She can pressure or defeat opponents across a formal level gap when Glazed Glass Ice and the Exquisite Worlds are brought into play. (Chapters 2104, 2128–2144, and 2162–2164)

Her Abyssal sword art centers on the Heartless Sword, whose execution stroke is designed to suppress hesitation and finish a target cleanly. Against Yun Che, however, she arrests the killing edge twice despite direct orders and absent memory. This is a limitation of intent rather than technique: her body and soul refuse a fatal result her conscious mind cannot explain. By the latest events she retains sixth-level Divine Extinction cultivation and her full known physiques, but no restored access to Xia Qingyue's memories has been demonstrated. Strategy and imperial command

Xia Qingyue's greatest noncombat capability is long-range planning. She records incriminating events with Hidden Moon Floating Image Pearls, builds information channels across the Eastern Divine Region, manipulates rival king-realm incentives, and separates public action from private intent. Her plans defeat Qianye Ying'er politically, save Blue Pole Star through planetary substitution, send Yun Che toward the only region that can receive his darkness power, and preserve the Moon God Realm's surviving core before its apparent destruction. This ability has moral and practical limits. She cannot make others understand a plan whose success depends on genuine hatred, and refusing to share the burden denies Yun Che the chance to choose alongside her. Her schemes save lives and alter the balance of the universe, but they also leave her isolated enough to accept the Abyss as the only ending she can control. (Chapters 1515–1529 and 1923–1931)

• Yun Che: Xia Qingyue's lawful husband, early healer, tournament rival, and the person around whom the Chain of Fate is formed. She protects his dignity before loving him, then repeatedly saves his life, home, and future while allowing him to believe she betrayed him. In the Abyss she cannot remember that love, but proof, instinct, and judgment lead her to spare him and become his ally again. (Chapters 4–38, 239–275, 359–361, 1283–1300, 1515–1738, 1923–1931, and 2161–2181)

• Xia Yuanba: Her younger brother and one of the family members she seeks to reunite after their mother's disappearance. She supports him after Yun Che's apparent death and accepts his decision to leave in pursuit of strength. The later revelation that much of his primordial energy was used in her creation makes them bound by origin as well as by the sibling relationship they lived. (Chapters 4, 274, 279–280, and 1930)
