Shui Meiyin

Shui Meiyin is the younger daughter of Glazed Light Realm King Shui Qianheng, the sole bearer of the Divine Stainless Soul, and Yun Che's fiancée and later partner. Her soul talent makes her one of the God Realm's greatest prodigies, but her decisive influence comes from loyalty exercised in secret: she endures the Moon Prison, carries Xia Qingyue's final trust, turns the truth of the king realms' betrayal into a weapon, and uses the World Piercer to protect Yun Che's future.

Biography

The youngest Conferred God candidate

Shui Meiyin enters the Profound God Convention at fifteen as the youngest successful candidate in its history. She is only at the first level of the Divine Spirit Realm, far below most competitors in raw cultivation, yet her Divine Stainless Soul lets her bypass ordinary mental defenses and her Illusory Butterfly Dance prevents stronger opponents from pinning her down. She reaches the Conferred God Battle through her own ability, defeats ninth-level Divine Spirit Meng Duanxi by placing him inside a false soul-world without his awareness, and advances until she faces Yun Che. Her position is unusual even among privileged heirs: Shui Qianheng treasures her, Shui Yingyue protects her, and the strongest figures of the Eastern Divine Region treat her future potential as something beyond normal measurement. Against Yun Che, Shui Meiyin invades his soul despite his multiple divine-soul inheritances and begins suppressing his sense of self. He wins only by exploiting her inexperience with intimacy, projecting deliberately indecent images into the soul-world until embarrassment breaks her control and lets his soul imprint rebound into hers. The experience humiliates and angers her, but after examining the imprint she refuses to erase it. She finds joy in thinking about someone beyond herself and declares that she will marry him, resisting both her sister's alarm and her father's anger. The choice is impulsive in presentation but not temporary in consequence: when Yun Che proposes that they reconsider after three thousand years inside the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm, she accepts the test without relinquishing the bond. Her affection does not make her oblivious to danger. She senses Yun Che alive after his lightning tribulation, worries through his subsequent battles, and remains attentive to threats others overlook. At the same time, her youth leaves limits that strength cannot remove: Yun Che's psychological feint defeats her when direct soul resistance cannot, and she has little experience separating the thoughts she can perceive from the emotions that contact creates. The convention thus establishes both sides of her development—a transcendent soul capable of controlling experts and a young woman choosing what that power will mean in her private life. Three thousand years and the gathering calamity

Shui Meiyin spends three thousand internal years cultivating in the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm. She crosses the difficult Divine Master threshold in thirty-seven years and eventually reaches the seventh level, making her the youngest seventh-level Divine Master known in the God Realm. The passage of time does not extinguish her feelings. After learning that Yun Che survived the Star God Realm disaster, she brings Shui Qianheng to the Snow Song Realm, openly defends Yun Che from Luo Guxie, and uses her soul to make even the ninth-level Divine Master hesitate. Her return also renews the engagement her father once treated as youthful infatuation. (Chapters 1241–1275 and 1420–1426)

The approaching end of the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor's stay draws Shui Meiyin into a plan whose true shape is revealed only much later. Xia Qingyue possesses the World Piercer and the Illusory Glazed Imagery Jades that record Yun Che saving the Primal Chaos and the god emperors' subsequent betrayal. After Yun Che is condemned as a devil, Xia publicly cripples Shui Qianheng and later imprisons Shui Meiyin, creating a convincing enmity between Moon God and Glazed Light while privately preserving a confidante whom she can trust with Yun Che's future. Shui Meiyin accepts that public role despite the suffering it causes her family because exposing cooperation would endanger both the hidden Blue Pole Star and Xia's larger attempt to force Yun Che beyond the reach of his enemies. Inside the Moon Prison, the two women meet repeatedly. Xia places the World Piercer in Shui Meiyin's hands so the Divine Stainless Soul can nurture its exhausted needle spirit, prepares a soul connection that will let Meiyin succeed her as master, and asks her to claim the hidden acts as her own after Xia's death. Shui Meiyin does not understand why Xia insists on dying as the woman Yun Che hates, but she understands the purpose she is being asked to protect: his home, the surviving Moon Gods, and a future in which he is strong enough that no king realm can take everything from him again. Her “escape” after Xia's death is therefore not a defeat of Xia's prison. It is the completion of a transfer Xia arranged in advance. (Chapters 1607–1609 and 1913–1916)

Escape, the imagery jades, and the northern war

When the Northern Divine Region invades, Shui Meiyin leaves the Moon God Realm with the World Piercer and reaches the forces gathering around Yun Che. She supplies the Illusory Glazed Imagery Jades to Chi Wuyao, allowing the Eternal Heaven Projection to show the divine regions that Yun Che had saved the universe before their rulers betrayed him. The broadcast shatters the moral authority holding the Eastern resistance together and accomplishes more than an army could have achieved by force. Publicly, Meiyin accepts credit for making the recordings; privately, that claim continues the promise to hide Xia Qingyue's protection behind an apparently simpler story. (Chapters 1700–1749)

Her hidden work is broader than delivering evidence. Using the World Piercer, Shui Meiyin scouts the Northern Divine Region without allowing even Chi Wuyao's senses to hold her position, follows the progress of Yun Che's campaign, and helps lure Long Bai into the God Realm of Absolute Beginning so the Dragon God Realm will not intervene at the invasion's most vulnerable stage. These choices require restraint as much as power. She can cross sealed realms and prisons, but every major use draws on a damaged treasure and a sleeping artifact spirit whose remaining strength cannot be treated as limitless. When she openly reunites with Yun Che, Shui Meiyin is not content merely to join his revenge. She asks him to become ruler of the Primal Chaos and later uses an ordinary visit to the Seven Star Realm to confront the human cost of conquest. She persuades him to spare Jin Yue and her family, not from naivety about risk but because her soul confirms that their intentions are directed toward survival rather than retaliation. Her influence does not erase his violence, yet it preserves the possibility that victory will produce an order based on more than fear. (Chapters 1748–1749 and 1809–1813)

The Blue Pole Star revelation and the deeper truth

Shui Meiyin uses the World Piercer to take Yun Che secretly to the living Blue Pole Star. She lets him witness Yun Wuxin's grief without exposing the planet's location, then tells him that the world he watched die was a substitute. The revelation restores the family he believed annihilated and transforms his reason for fighting: vengeance is no longer all he has left, and survival becomes more important than dying after Long Bai. Shui Meiyin also asks him to rule with compassion and to share the burden of the innocent Sky Water Star lives sacrificed in the deception. He accepts all three requests. (Chapters 1815–1820)

At that time, she presents herself as the person who recorded the imagery jades, found the substitute, and exchanged the planets. The account protects Xia Qingyue's last wish that Yun Che remember her as a ruthless enemy rather than grieve her chosen death. Shui Meiyin carries the lie into peaceful years even though it causes repeated private sorrow. She also safeguards the hidden Moon Gods and divine envoys, honoring Xia's request that the Moon God inheritance survive until Yun Che's reign is secure enough to pardon them. Yun Che eventually notices Purple Pylon power in a recording of the planet's relocation and finds chronological contradictions in Meiyin's story. When he proves that she never left his side during the time she claimed to have moved the planet, she can no longer sustain the complete cover account. She reveals that Xia Qingyue received the World Piercer and manual, made the recordings, relocated Blue Pole Star, transferred the treasure to her in the Moon Prison, and asked her to bear the credit and secrecy afterward. Shui Meiyin's role is not diminished by that correction: she spent years carrying a truth that hurt her, fulfilled a dead woman's conditions even when Yun Che's hatred of Xia benefited her own position, and finally helps him preserve the Moon God survivors rather than destroy the last part of Xia's legacy. Imperial war, the Abyss, and vigilance

Before the Dragon God war, Yun Che chooses Shui Meiyin as his partner for nearly three years of cultivation inside the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm. Her Divine Stainless Soul nurtures his soul, allowing his command of the Dragon God Divine Soul to grow far beyond its former limit, while her presence helps him replace a suicidal need for revenge with a safer plan to win and return home. When they emerge, the strengthened soul suppression becomes a decisive answer to the Dragon Monarch's draconic pressure. The accomplishment is cooperative rather than a new formal realm for Meiyin; her latest confirmed cultivation remains the seventh level of Divine Master. (Chapters 1821–1823 and 1834–1858)

After the war, she remains one of Emperor Yun's closest strategic partners. She uses the World Piercer's power to make three World Jades that can recall their wearers to Emperor Yun City, spending precious spatial energy to reduce his fear that family members might again become unreachable. During the confrontation with the Abyssal pioneers and Mo Beichen, she supports the effort to preserve Yun Che rather than encourage a hopeless last stand, then survives his departure into the Abyss. Her response to danger remains consistent: preserve a path of return even when raw power cannot win. (Chapters 1890, 1937–1958)

By the latest period, Shui Meiyin is alive in the Primal Chaos and continues working with Chi Wuyao and Qianye Ying’er while Yun Che operates beyond the Wall. When an unexplained impact shakes the Wall of Primal Chaos, she tests it with the depleted World Piercer and feels the treasure tremble. The observation does not provide a complete answer, but it leaves her alert to a possible change in the barrier separating Yun Che from home. She remains a seventh-level Divine Master, the World Piercer's custodian, and one of the few people whose soul and artifact can investigate that boundary at all. (Chapter 2040)

Appearance and personality

Shui Meiyin first appears as a petite fifteen-year-old girl in a black skirt, with a black butterfly-shaped sash around her narrow waist and a face youthful enough to seem out of place among the God Realm's greatest prodigies. Her most distinctive feature is her pair of deep black eyes, repeatedly compared to a star-filled night. She moves lightly like a dark butterfly, and her smile, dimples, and clear voice preserve a playful impression even after three thousand internal years of cultivation. In later years her long black hair falls to her waist and her figure matures, but her expressions around Yun Che often retain the brightness of the girl he first met. Her public personality combines confidence, mischief, and startling directness. She teases her family, declares her intention to marry Yun Che before the Eastern Divine Region's most powerful figures, and can appear unconcerned while reading motives others believe hidden. That playfulness is selective rather than shallow. Around enemies she can be frighteningly composed, while around Yun Che she deliberately allows herself to remain emotionally open and affectionate. The Divine Stainless Soul is associated with purity, but Shui Meiyin's compassion is expressed through difficult choices rather than innocence alone. She can distinguish a harmless survivor from a continuing threat, yet she also accepts secrecy, deception, imprisonment, and strategic manipulation when she believes they are necessary to save Yun Che and the people attached to him. Her longest deception costs her years of guilt because it protects Xia Qingyue at the expense of appearing closer to Yun Che herself. That willingness to carry another woman's last wish is one of the clearest measures of her loyalty and moral courage. (Chapters 1812–1820 and 1909–1916)

Abilities and cultivation

Divine Stainless Soul

Shui Meiyin is born with the Divine Stainless Soul, a variant soul formed from primordial power and described as the purest soul within the Primal Chaos. Its affinity with non-evil souls allows her soul energy to enter defended soul-worlds with almost no detectable resistance. She can read surface thoughts, sense aspects of character and danger, implant illusions, suppress awareness, paralyze targets, and impose mental control without relying on a cultivation advantage. At first-level Divine Spirit she defeats ninth-level Divine Spirit opponents through the soul and makes Luo Guxie, a ninth-level Divine Master, recoil from direct eye contact. Her signature soul attacks manifest as black butterflies and layered false realities. Rather than battering a soul's defenses from outside, they exploit the soul's affinity to invade unnoticed, then alter perception until the victim cannot distinguish the constructed world from reality. This makes ordinary preparation unreliable. The method is not absolute: transcendent or multiple divine souls can resist once the intrusion is found, malicious or unusual souls do not necessarily share the same affinity, and an opponent can exploit Meiyin's emotions or inexperience to disrupt her concentration. Yun Che's deliberate sexual imagery forces a recoil at the convention, while later experience makes her much harder to unsettle. (Chapters 1186 and 1200–1204)

The soul has supportive applications as important as control. It can inspect intention without injuring the subject, nurture another person's soul, and connect to powers born from the same primordial source. Nearly three years of dual cultivation allows it to strengthen Yun Che's Dragon God Divine Soul until his sustained suppression can overturn the Dragon Monarch's battlefield advantage. Its danger sense gives Meiyin warnings and intuitions but does not supply a complete prophecy; she still has to investigate, plan contingencies, and accept uncertainty. Billowing Star Bestowal and movement arts

Shui Meiyin cultivates the Glazed Light Realm's water-based Billowing Star Bestowal. She can create layered water curtains and a heavenly water domain, redirect incoming profound force through water screens, and combine the art with soul illusions so that an opponent attacks false positions. At the convention her raw first-level Divine Spirit power is her weakest attribute, so she uses water primarily for concealment and control rather than trying to overpower late-stage Divine Spirit opponents. By seventh-level Divine Master, the same foundation supports barriers able to turn aside portions of Luo Guxie's attack. (Chapters 1185–1201 and 1424)

Illusory Butterfly Dance is her principal movement technique. It combines a blue formation with displacement so fast and deceptive that it resembles teleportation, releases her from an enemy's aura lock, and is difficult enough that even Shui Yingyue had not mastered it at the convention. It allows Meiyin to create the time and uncertainty her soul techniques require, but it does not make her immune to wide attacks or a superior spatial seal. Her combat style therefore depends on avoiding a direct contest, misdirecting perception, and ending the encounter through the soul. (Chapters 1185 and 1200–1201)

World Piercer and spatial access

Xia Qingyue transfers the World Piercer to Shui Meiyin during her confinement in the Moon Prison. A soul connection formed there lets Meiyin become its master after Xia separates herself from it. Because both the Divine Stainless Soul and the treasure's needle spirit originate in primordial power, Meiyin can nurture the sleeping spirit, briefly awaken it, and channel her own profound energy through it to force use of the treasure's spatial authority. This makes her the sole active custodian after Xia's death, not the original planner of the Blue Pole Star exchange. (Chapters 1912–1916)

The World Piercer can cross sealed realms without leaving ordinary spatial traces, place exact destinations, create spatial barriers, and produce emergency-return jades. Meiyin uses it to leave the Moon Prison, scout territories, evade Chi Wuyao's perception, transport Yun Che to and from Blue Pole Star, and make World Jades for his family. The treasure's superiority does not mean unrestricted use: cutting through the Wall of Primal Chaos left it nearly empty, its needle spirit is exhausted and asleep, and forcing its power consumes both Meiyin's energy and the spirit's remaining vitality. Cultivation, strategy, and latest state

Meiyin enters the convention at first-level Divine Spirit and later explains that crossing into Divine Master took thirty-seven years, a speed Shui Qianheng regarded as historic. Three thousand internal years take her to the seventh level of Divine Master. That cultivation supplies the profound energy needed for her water arts, survival, and forced use of the World Piercer, but her greatest advantages remain qualitative: opponents with higher cultivation can still be controlled through the Divine Stainless Soul, while the artifact's largest operations can drain her despite her realm. Her strategic skill is demonstrated by contingency planning and timing. She preserves Xia Qingyue's secret, delivers the imagery jades precisely when their projection will collapse Eastern resistance, spies on the Northern Divine Region without compromising Yun Che's campaign, and helps remove Long Bai from the board. These successes depend on soul perception and spatial access but are not automatic products of either; they require Meiyin to understand political fear, predict how people will react to evidence, and withhold information until revealing it can change an outcome. No later exact realm beyond seventh-level Divine Master is established. Her three years with Yun Che inside the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm are devoted chiefly to his soul cultivation, and later World Piercer work spends rather than proves a new formal level. Her affection survives three thousand years, imprisonment, and his transformation into the Northern Divine Region's ruler. She later restores his knowledge that Blue Pole Star lives, nurtures his soul before the Dragon God war, and urges him toward compassionate rule rather than vengeance without end. • Xia Qingyue: Publicly, the Moon God Emperor cripples Meiyin's father and confines her as an enemy. • Shui Qianheng: Her father alternates between indulgent pride and exasperation at her open pursuit of Yun Che. • Chi Wuyao: Meiyin supplies the imagery jades that Chi turns into a strategic collapse of the Eastern Divine Region's faith.
