About the novel
Shura's Wrath begins with Ling Chen caring for his terminally ill adoptive sister, Shui Ruo. He enters the virtual world Mystic Moon after Yun Feng offers an experimental treatment for her Isrock infection in exchange for helping Yun Meng Xin. The bargain gives Ling Chen a reason to reveal abilities built through a violent hidden past, though his first priority remains the small family that gave his life meaning.
Inside the game, Ling Tian obtains the Lunar Scourge and joins Heart's Dream, drawing increasing attention from guilds, cities, and divine powers. The defense and creation of Ling Tian City expand his circle of responsibility, while loss pushes him toward the destructive legacy of the Shura. Conflicts involving the Moon Goddesses, the Godchild, and forces beyond one planet gradually connect the virtual world's mysteries to the fate of multiple worlds.
World and classes
Mystic Moon uses levels, classes, equipment, pets, mounts, skills, cities, and guild territories, but exceptional inheritances can operate beyond its ordinary balance. Players interact with native peoples and factions whose choices have consequences independent of competition among Earth organizations. City ownership and large guild warfare make logistics, alliances, and public reputation meaningful forms of power.
The Lunar Scourge accepts powerful orbs that grant attributes and abilities, giving Ling Chen a flexible foundation unavailable to ordinary players. Specialized classes such as Ling Tian Battle Soul and Shura transform his combat potential but carry requirements and risks. The setting's later revelations show that its “game” systems mediate real supernatural forces, so class advancement can affect identity and worlds rather than only an avatar.
