Great Ravager

The Great Ravager is a prehistoric strength weapon made from thousands of kilograms of stone. Once bound to Ling Chen, its overwhelming weight becomes manageable for him and turns heavy impacts, knockback, and weapon-breaking pressure into the core of its fighting style.

History

A weapon that chooses strength

Ling Chen obtains Great Ravager but can barely lift it before formally equipping it. His Strength satisfies the binding requirement, after which the greatsword becomes light enough for him to wield freely while remaining unusable by others. He soon pairs it with Zephyr Blade and reveals both weapons during his confrontation with the Sword Emperor, replacing the ordinary blade he had used while testing the opponent. (Chapters 200–209)

Primary heavy weapon

Great Ravager becomes Ling Chen’s principal strength-side weapon during his journey south. Its high attack and forced knockback complement the speed and elemental utility of lighter choices, and its parry leverage helps him break through physical opposition. Although its ancient power has declined, it remains one of the rare Celestial items that puts his early equipment far above normal player progression. (Chapters 222, 265–269)

Campaigns in the East Ocean Continent

Ling Chen carries the greatsword through fights against the Blade Emperor, massed Japanese players, the Cherry Blossom God Representative, and high-grade beasts. He combines its Thousand Kilogram Rend with his Battle Soul techniques for decisive single-target impacts and uses the weapon as one half of his dual-wielding pattern. These applications demonstrate raw force rather than new transformations or upgrades to the item. (Chapters 412–438)

Later situational use

The sword remains available during Ling Tian City’s defense and the Underworld campaign, where Ling Chen uses its mass for blocks, charges, and the final confrontation with the Undead War God. As Twilight Spear and later divine Scourge equipment expand his arsenal, Great Ravager shifts from defining primary weapon to a retained situational choice; no destruction or transfer is recorded. Abilities and properties

• Strength binding: Equipping requires more than two hundred Strength and permanently binds the weapon to that wielder. It cannot be traded, and discarding it causes it to disappear. The binding makes its enormous physical weight manageable for Ling Chen rather than reducing the weapon’s impact on targets. (Chapters 200–201)
• Heavy attributes: Great Ravager supplies very high attack and additional Strength but reduces Agility and attack speed. When the target is weaker than the wielder, attacks guarantee knockback and powerful swings can knock targets down or upward. (Chapter 200)
• Parry leverage: Its high parry level lets superior Strength knock an opponent’s weapon away when attacks meet. This remains conditional on the wielder’s Strength advantage and does not make every incoming attack blockable. (Chapter 200)
• Thousand Kilogram Rend: The item’s strongest skill delivers five times normal attack damage, guarantees knockback, can stun for several seconds, and cannot be parried. The corpus does not describe it as an area attack, and equipment-granted skills do not independently progress. (Chapter 200)
• Aged power: The description states that the prehistoric weapon’s original power has diminished. Its Celestial grade remains exceptional early but is later surpassed by Ling Chen’s Heaven’s End, Mysterious God, and Saint Destroyer equipment. (Chapters 200, 265, 654)
