Zephyr Blade

The Zephyr Blade is a wind-aspected crystal sword that becomes one of Ling Chen’s principal early weapons. Its combination of Celestial-grade physical attributes and freely selectable wind damage lets it serve both ordinary dual-wielding and elemental encounters.

History

Celestial wind crystal

Ling Chen receives Zephyr Blade as a level-fifteen Celestial weapon and equips it as soon as he meets the requirement. Forged from pure wind-element crystal, it immediately displaces lower-grade choices and becomes one half of his dual-wielded arsenal. Its appearance at the top of the regional equipment ranking also continues the public mystery surrounding the player who repeatedly obtains unprecedented gear. (Chapters 78, 87–97)

Mainstay of Heart’s Dream battles

Ling Chen pairs Zephyr Blade with Soaring Cloud while fighting beside Heart’s Dream, applying the same Ling Tian techniques through both hands. The sword’s wind conversion supplies an elemental option, while its higher raw power makes it the more important of the pair. An attempt to cut an ancient tree’s vines also demonstrates a clear boundary: enormous attack does not substitute for the special destruction property that the obstacle requires. Retained after stronger acquisitions

Zephyr Blade remains one of Ling Chen’s three early Celestial items during the road south, and he continues presenting or equipping it when its grade is useful. As Great Ravager and later divine weapons improve his arsenal, however, the sword ceases to be a defining primary weapon. Its latest meaningful appearances are situational uses rather than evidence of an upgrade or transformation. (Chapters 222, 265–295)

Abilities and properties

• Wind-crystal blade: The sword grants substantial attack, Strength, accuracy, and attack speed, plus a small chance to inflict Daze. Fast swings create fierce wind that pushes back enemies in front of the wielder. (Chapter 78)
• Zephyr: This toggle releases the blade’s stored wind element and converts all attacks made with it into wind-attribute attacks. It can be switched on or off at any time, but the corpus does not show it enhancing non-wind skills independently of attacks delivered through the weapon. (Chapter 78)
• Celestial construction: Although light, sharp, and powerful for its level, it has a middling parry-judgement value and lacks a destruction attribute. Its later inferiority to stronger weapons is progression rather than damage to the sword itself. (Chapters 78, 145, 265)
