Meng Chuan is the central Godfiend of Archean Eon Art. Beginning as an Eastcalm youth who studies the saber and paints to steady his mind, he becomes humanity's decisive defender in the demon war, carries Archean Eon Realm into the wider River of Spacetime, and ultimately reaches the Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation realm. His advancement is consistently tied to the same commitments: protecting ordinary people, returning safely to his family, understanding cultivation for himself, and refusing to gain power through predation. Biography

Eastcalm and Archean Mountain

Meng Chuan grows up in Eastcalm Prefecture as the son of Meng Dajiang, with Liu Qiyue as his closest childhood companion. He is already disciplined enough to refuse leisure before the Demon-Slaying Meet, but his diligence is not merely ambition: he studies Godfiend biographies, tests repeated principles against one another, and realizes that cultivation must become something he loves rather than an ordeal he endures. Painting supplies the quiet attention that lets him recover from training and examine saber trajectories as if they were brushstrokes. (Chapters 1–4)

The Yun family's cancellation of his arranged engagement exposes how quickly status can vanish when Fairy Meng appears doomed, yet Meng Chuan refuses to answer the insult with a futile clan feud. His attention remains on strengthening the Meng family and becoming capable of fighting demons, a goal sharpened by the childhood loss of his mother and by Eastcalm's dependence on aging Godfiends. At the Demon-Slaying Meet, his spiritual perception and secret-technique-level saber allow him to distinguish himself beside Qiyue and Yan Jin, turning a local test into the first proof that his unusual foundation has practical value. (Chapters 5–23)

Idle Stone Garden changes the moral center of that ambition. Meng Chuan, Qiyue, and Yan Jin uncover people imprisoned and tormented by a Skydemon-linked gang; his grief and fury resonate with the victims and produce People Resonance. Soon afterward, the damaged Lightning Devastator Saber Fragment transmits part of Five Lightning Descent at the cost of injuring his consciousness, and Skydemon agents try to recover it. Rather than surrender the dangerous inheritance, he fights through the assassination attempt with his companions and uses the fragment's lesson to refine the path he has chosen. (Chapters 24–48)

When demons invade Eastcalm, Meng Chuan's speed becomes a public responsibility. He races between threatened districts and commanders while Qiyue holds her academy, then joins the exhausted defenders against Demon Monarch Poison Pool. The victory saves the city but demonstrates that local talent is insufficient without stronger training, so he accepts separation from home and competes for Archean Mountain. His performance in the entry examinations is uneven by conventional measures, yet his speed, perception, will, and battlefield judgment win him a place alongside Qiyue. (Chapters 49–94)

At Archean Mountain, Qin Wu forces Meng Chuan to choose a coherent foundation instead of collecting attractive techniques. Meng Chuan commits to Heart Intent Saber and the Lightning Devastator Fiend Body, endures repeated baneful-aura refinements, and develops Saber Soul and his Essence Soul while Qiyue deepens her phoenix bloodline. Their shared training becomes an explicit promise to face life together. After passing the Nine Mystical Caves, choosing Demon Slayer, and receiving an alternate physical-body inheritance in Archean Eon Grotto-Heaven, he descends the mountain as a Great Solar Godfiend prepared for service rather than as a sheltered prodigy. Battlefield partnership and family

Meng Chuan and Qiyue request deployment together and are sent to North River Pass, where their personal partnership is immediately subordinated to wartime need. Under Zhang Yunhu, Meng Chuan learns that reaching a battlefield first does not guarantee saving everyone: he must choose which threats to intercept, protect slower comrades, and conserve strength for an enemy commander. Repeated assaults push his Saber Soul to its peak, while casualties transform his youthful hatred of demons into the steadier discipline of a defender who expects no clean victory. (Chapters 137–159)

Their marriage does not end their service; it makes their teamwork more exact. At Jiang State Capital, Meng Chuan's speed and close combat complement Qiyue's protected archery while Zhang Yunfeng and Yang Fang supply domain and frontline support. When Blackwater Palace Lord emerges from the Skydemon investigation, Meng Chuan refuses to leave the danger to others. He drives the pursuit, reaches peak Saber Soul under pressure, and lets Demon Slayer reduce the palace lord to dust, strengthening both his reputation and the weapon's increasingly dangerous hunger. (Chapters 160–190)

As mobile reinforcements from Gu Mountain Prefecture, the couple spend years answering attacks that begin before they arrive. Demon Monarch Fu Jiao exploits this pattern with a trap, forcing Meng Chuan to rely on the third level of his Essence Soul and the Soul-Vanquishing Spike rather than speed alone. He wins, and Demon Slayer evolves after consuming Fu Jiao, but the larger consequence is domestic: he exchanges the recovered Nether Jade Bottle for a phoenix feather that protects the pregnant Qiyue, and their twins, Meng You and Meng An, are born into the war he is still fighting. (Chapters 191–216)

The accusation against Meng Dajiang tests Meng Chuan's loyalty more subtly than battle. He does not excuse his father blindly, nor does he accept a planted Skydemon identity as proof. He investigates, asks Qin Wu for the expertise needed to expose the illusion specialist Chunyu Mu, and clears Dajiang's name. The inquiry also reveals that his mother, Bai Nianyun, is alive as a Grand Yin Holy Maiden and that Marquis Martial Yang arranged the frame-up. Meng Chuan gains the truth but cannot yet undo the sect rules separating his parents, teaching him that strength and justice do not always mature at the same pace. (Chapters 217–228)

Escalating pressure culminates in a battle where Qiyue burns lifespan through Phoenix Nirvana and Meng Chuan breaks into the Realm of Dao and Marquis-level strength in order to reach her. Their combined attack defeats Greater Demon Monarch Blackrock's design, but the cost of Qiyue's technique makes victory inseparable from fear for her future. Qin Wu and Luo Tang then reveal that a hidden golden-sword protector had watched Meng Chuan because of his strategic importance. The titles Marquis Eastcalm and Marchioness Calmmoon formalize what the couple have become: a family whose private survival and public duty can no longer be separated. (Chapters 229–245)

Underground war and victory

Archean Mountain next turns Meng Chuan's electromagnetic perception and speed into a continental strategy. Equipped with the Grotto-Heaven Magic Bead and resources for his physical-body path, he reaches the Undying realm and begins searching deep underground for demon monarchs. The work is repetitive and largely unseen, but that is precisely why he accepts it: each discovery prevents a future massacre. He becomes a mobile rescue force across multiple states while painting the lives of ordinary people whose safety gives the campaign meaning, raising his Essence Soul as his responsibilities expand. (Chapters 246–298)

The World Gap expedition broadens his purpose from response to preparation. Traveling with King True Martial, King Calm Sea, Yan Chitong, and others, Meng Chuan acts as scout, transporter, and treasure interceptor. World-birth lightning inspires his Fifteen Lightning Forms, while the team's conflicts teach him to value complementary strengths rather than raw rank. He seizes the Spacetime Floating Ice and an Origins treasure, saves King Calm Sea, and returns with a clearer route for both his saber and movement techniques. Those gains matter because Liu Qiyue continues spending lifespan to cover the battles his speed cannot reach. (Chapters 299–322)

Grief repeatedly becomes a demand for better action. Xue Feng's death and the suffering caused by demon swarms help catalyze Meng Chuan's Dharma Domain breakthrough. He advances to Regis Godfiend, receives the title King Eastcalm, and chooses the Bloodblade Disc and Clear Sky because they extend the speed and range needed for rescue. To keep the demons from identifying humanity's underground hunter, he combines the disc with the Mask of Illusion. The resulting campaign kills vast numbers of infiltrators, though a Three Terminal Formation ambush proves that secrecy and a protective talisman remain necessary counters to concentrated enemy planning. (Chapters 323–364)

Meng Chuan's discovery of the isolated Eon Sea Sect confronts him with a different temptation: hoarded power that could be kept for himself. After reaching the Blood Droplet realm and a fifth-level Essence Soul, he ranks first in Heart Sea Palace and fifth in Battle God Pagoda under the alias Humanity's Demon Slayer. He accepts the Essence Soul Star legacy, but chooses to return the Star Cluster Building, Heart Sea Palace, and Battle God Pagoda to Archean Mountain. Becoming a Sect Proprietor therefore reflects not only talent but his decision that humanity's inheritance should serve later generations. (Chapters 365–395)

The demons answer his success with attacks aimed specifically at his unusual body and soul. Imperial Lord Starquix's karmic blood curse nearly destroys him, but the Blood Droplet body's distributed vitality and Essence Soul Star prevent immediate death. Nine Abyss then imprisons Meng Chuan and Qiyue together; Meng Chuan repeatedly launches Magic Awls against the demon sage's Essence Soul while Qiyue burns lifespan to force an opening. They survive and drive Nine Abyss from the human world, yet the episode confirms that their enemies will spend entire strategic assets to remove them. Meng Chuan uses the leverage gained afterward to reunite Bai Nianyun with Meng Dajiang rather than taking a personal reward. (Chapters 396–413) In the World Gap's final campaigns, he turns his maturing void arts against increasingly elaborate concealment. He kills members of Holy Lady Strings's team, penetrates the Origins of Wind, and later reaches the Grotto-Heaven realm in Cloud Dragon Snake Movement while the Eighteen Black River Guard trap the human force. By attacking from a deeper void layer, he destroys the Guard and exposes Deep Profundity's hiding place. King True Martial must still burn his life to secure the final strategic victory, leaving Meng Chuan with both the result humanity needed and another example of what stronger defenders had paid to preserve his future. Relative peace makes Meng Chuan address abuses among humans rather than treating the demon war as an excuse for corruption. After exposing wrongdoing tied to his own clan, he proposes a Ministry of Supervision and accepts that order must constrain allies as well as enemies. The war then exacts its most personal cost at Snow Wind Pass: while he is absent, Qiyue burns almost all her remaining lifespan to stop Patriarch Poison Dragon. Meng Chuan honors their promise by spending a year traveling with her, then accepts her entry into Millennium Instant slumber because preserving a chance to save her matters more than avoiding present grief. (Chapters 466–480) Alone, he paints the Seventy-Two Liu Qiyue Paintings and a vast record of their life, allowing grief to settle into understanding rather than paralysis. A saber dance produces the perfected Infinite Saber, his Essence Soul reaches the seventh level, and he replaces his body's governing laws with his own technique. The resulting Source collapses into a new Chaos Hole realm, giving him a longer lifespan, multiple Essence Soul avatars, and an outer-realm-capable body. He leaves Archean Eon Realm because finding wider cultivation and a way to extend Qiyue's life now serves the same duty that once kept him home. (Chapters 481–490)

Outer-realm tribulations

Spacetime turbulence prevents Meng Chuan from following the safe route planned by Archean Mountain, and his first encounter in the outer realm is an attempted robbery. He kills Fang Chang's hostile followers, reads Qing Gu's memories before judging him, and accepts Qing Gu as a subordinate because the evidence shows fear and coercion rather than willing predation. At Pang Ming's ownerless cave abode, Meng Chuan probes danger with disposable Essence Soul avatars before accepting an inheritance whose price is a future disciple. These choices establish his outer-realm method: caution without passivity, and bargains whose obligations he understands before accepting. (Chapters 491–502)

On Black Dragon Planet, protected time and the Selfless Formless Sword let him accumulate centuries of cultivation, but the looming demon war keeps his effort directed homeward. A Primordial Stone is irresistibly attractive to his Chaos Hole body; after careful testing, he allows the body to devour it and gains treasure-like toughness. He then deliberately permits the demons to send their fifth-Firmament forces into the human world, trusting his multiple avatars to cover every entry point. The complete wipeout and his destruction of the final demon-sage invasion end the centuries-long war rather than merely postponing another attempt. (Chapters 503–536)

Victory does not immediately bring him joy. Years in a Chaos Hole have suppressed his emotions, while the cities celebrating around him remind him of the dead whose choices made his success possible. Painting Backbone releases those feelings and transforms his understanding: life, not final stillness, gives spacetime meaning. His Essence Soul reaches the eighth level, and Infinite Saber becomes an Imperial Lord-level paramount technique capable of controlling his own time flow. He advances to Imperial Lord, prepares Meng An for a distant inheritance, and begins arranging longevity protection for his parents and Liu Yebai, converting strategic victory into responsibility for the people who survived it. (Chapters 537–555)

Meng Chuan's wider rise remains tied to restraint. He explores the cave abode contested by Emperor Roc, Palace Lord Snowjade, and Old Fiend Black Wind, but treats unknown forbidden creatures and inheritances as risks rather than free opportunities. After acquiring the Void Catalog, he establishes Eastcalm City and attacks the plundering factions of Three Bay River System. Even when he defeats Cave Lord Scenic Cloud with a prepared array, Demon Slayer, and repeated Magic Awls, he accepts submission instead of exterminating the entire Eight-Headed Star Swallowing Snake species. Scenic Cloud's ten-thousand-year service and relocation of his clan turn force into a durable order with explicit limits on future predation. (Chapters 556–590)

Fiend Mountain tests that judgment more directly. Fu Sui's expedition offers extraordinary acceleration, but each path carries a cost that the explorers do not initially understand. Meng Chuan rejects forced ascent and chooses the path that attacks mind and will, while Fu Sui takes epiphany and Meng Hu and Black Wind take possession. He remains after the others leave because the pressure genuinely tempers the foundation required by his Essence Soul path, yet he refuses Fu Sui's demand to vacate a limited slot. The later injuries and madness suffered by other entrants confirm why Meng Chuan would not call the opportunity a favor before its price was known. (Chapters 591–608)

Family then draws him across spacetime. When Meng An returns pursued by Grandsire Three Stones, Meng Chuan uses a Spacetime Teleportation Talisman to enter Earth Cloud Mystic Realm before the rival can secure complete control. He finds Meng Yu, rescues Long Han, and defeats Three Stones's forces, not to claim a foreign realm for profit but because his son cannot protect both wife and child alone. The recovered Heavenly Punishment Chart and Fire Origins Liquid let him punish a deranged ruler, awaken Qiyue, and transform her phoenix bloodline. Soon afterward, the sixth Essence Soul tribulation forces him to create a more personal Essence Soul structure instead of relying only on inherited formulations. (Chapters 609–635)

White Avian Hall and final ascension

Passing the sixth tribulation gives Meng Chuan access to Archean Eon's deepest secret, the Great Seal, but he obeys the restriction that it remain hidden in the homeworld. He uses it as a standard against which to test his own deductions rather than as public authority. In the wider River of Spacetime, he joins White Avian Hall for access to the Valley of Spacetime and cultivates through the Void Catalog, Fiend Mountain, Holy Mountain of Painting, and other environments. When Guild Master Fiend Eye attempts to extort his Fiend Mountain opportunity, Meng Chuan refuses despite the threat to every outer-realm avatar and to his homeworld's travelers, demonstrating that risk does not erase his boundary against coercion. (Chapters 636–653)

His next breakthroughs combine observation with moral action. Painting at Holy Mountain yields the lepton law, while the Valley's Void Trileaf Flower completes his spatial law. Between those advances, Meng Chuan accepts Eternal Tower missions to save cultivators targeted by Black Fiend Hall. He annihilates the attackers through Pupil of Darkness, opposes Lord of Scarlet's claim that reputation outweighs slaughter, and forces the hall to avoid him. The progression matters because his strength no longer merely protects one city or realm; it becomes a warning that predatory factions must account for victims otherwise unrelated to him. (Chapters 654–676)

Dragon Ancestor's Nine Trials Pagoda rewards both foundation and survival rather than rank alone. Meng Chuan passes its first two trials and receives the Spacetime Token, which repairs his weakness in long-distance spacetime control. Guild Master Darkstar ambushes him upon exit, but Meng Chuan's new spatial law and Spacetime Domain keep him alive until Fiend Eye intervenes; the reversal gives him Darkstar's array treasure as spoils. Hall Lord White Avian then offers three rare Essence Soul treasures because he sees Meng Chuan's future potential. Meng Chuan accepts the resulting karmic debt only after White Avian promises not to demand an act against his principles. (Chapters 677–687) Those gifts transform cultivation rather than simply adding weapons. A cyan fruit lets Meng Chuan witness universe creation and temporarily form a Heaven Splitting Blade; a black book's three thousand illusory arrays teach him how an Essence Soul World can be structured; a six-part spacetime treasure provides another model. In the Chaos Turbid River he hunts forbidden creatures, learns that destroying a body is insufficient while its Life Core survives, and eventually grasps the Chaos Hole law. He then creates Painting World, making his own understanding of reality and representation the form of his Essence Soul, and survives the seventh Heavenly Tribulation with a foundation no longer reducible to any one inherited legacy. (Chapters 688–710)

Realm Ancestor prepares Meng Chuan for what lies beyond that achievement by transferring knowledge, territory, and responsibility before his lifespan ends. Daolord Evodia takes Meng Chuan to Dry Origin Mountain, where Thousand-Hands explains its prison and tests. Meng Chuan studies imprisoned Chaos creatures instead of assuming their innate powers are understood laws; by fighting them, he develops Heaven Splitting and an Ouroboros-like Chaos Hole Heaven Splitting array. When Realm Ancestor exposes Celestial Thearch Myriad Star's use of forbidden creatures to devour middle-level worlds, Meng Chuan joins White Avian in stopping another attack and accepts the contested treasures because fear of Myriad Star would otherwise reward the crime. (Chapters 711–736)

White Avian's response to Myriad Star becomes a debt Meng Chuan is determined to repay. White Avian spends an Eighth Tribulation favor to obtain Perfected Lord Crimson Peace's world-sealing array and accepts the loss of his remaining cultivation time to keep Myriad Star confined. Meng Chuan continues traveling, painting, and testing the component laws of time until an encounter with Fiend Mountain's summit resolves the final bottleneck. Having grasped complete time and space, he becomes a half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminence, replaces White Avian at the seal, and asks Fiend Mountain's owner to end Myriad Star's threat. He later treats the Essence Soul injury that had made White Avian's sacrifice finite. (Chapters 737–753)

Meng Chuan's Essence Soul World eventually evolves into a real miniature spacetime, making him an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation lifeform before he has survived the corresponding tribulation. He uses that interval to treat Fiend Eye, receive the surviving seniors' information, and complete Dry Origin Mountain's test by killing Chaos overlord Wise. The reward includes Wise's memories, but borrowed wisdom cannot replace his own choice under pressure. When the tribulation begins, he tells Qiyue and enters a world where his prior cultivation system is unavailable, awakening in the crippled, one-armed body of the Exorcist Fang Qi. (Chapters 749–762) As Fang Qi, Meng Chuan cannot solve the trial by recovering his former scale of power. He learns one-handed seals, studies the world's talismans and artifacts, protects Fang Dalong and Fang Qian, shares improvements with other Exorcists, and becomes Heaven Master Fang after eliminating the nine Origins Fiends. He then lives through old age, bereavement, and a narrowing lifespan—pressures his rapid earlier cultivation had never forced him to face. By combining a century of experiments with Painting Dao insight, he infers laws he cannot directly sense and constructs the Heaven's Behalf Array across the world. That sustained commitment, rather than a momentary burst of inherited force, completes the tribulation and makes him an Eternal disciple of Azure Volcano. (Chapters 762–766)

Appearance and personality

Meng Chuan is introduced as a saber-wearing youth. His early Godfiend equipment is deliberately light and predominantly dark cyan so that armor does not compromise his defining speed; Demon Slayer hangs at his waist. Both he and Qiyue eventually become white-haired after long years and costly wartime service. In the outer realm he is repeatedly shown as a white-haired man in black or white robes. During the final tribulation, Fang Qi begins as a pale, clean-featured, one-armed nineteen-year-old and ages into a wrinkled, white-haired elder whose remaining arm still paints. (Chapters 1, 136, 480, 517, 762–766)

His most persistent trait is disciplined care. As a teenager he helps junior disciples, tests cultivation advice instead of accepting famous names uncritically, and uses painting to restore calm. War makes him more severe without making him indiscriminately cruel: he destroys attackers who prey on the weak, yet investigates Qing Gu before judging him and accepts Scenic Cloud's surrender when it protects an entire species under enforceable rules. He is notably unwilling to trade principle for convenience, whether refusing Fiend Eye's coercion or confronting Black Fiend Hall over strangers. (Chapters 1–4, 491–502, 579–586, 650–670)

Meng Chuan's reserve can make him appear emotionally controlled, but the narrative repeatedly shows intense feeling beneath it. Civilian suffering produces People Resonance; failure to reach a city in time troubles him even after saving hundreds; King True Martial's sacrifice and Qiyue's lost lifespan deepen his sense of responsibility. He processes those experiences through work and painting rather than public display. Backbone, the paintings of Qiyue, and his studies of humanity's prehistory all turn grief or wonder into changes in his Essence Soul and worldview. (Chapters 24–34, 328, 462–483, 538–540, 749–751)

He also remains strongly familial despite the distances created by rank. His concern for Qiyue drives the search for longevity; he prepares Meng An's departure carefully, rescues Long Han and Meng Yu, and arranges sleep or lifespan extension for aging parents. The final tribulation removes his cosmic status and again tests him through an ordinary household. His care for Fang Dalong and Fang Qian is not treated as an illusion to dismiss: living through their aging and deaths is part of the wisdom the tribulation demands. Abilities and cultivation

Meng Chuan's cultivation combines a Godfiend body, an Essence Soul, self-created saber and movement techniques, and painting-derived insight. His greatest strength is not a single inherited power but his habit of using combat, observation, and art to verify laws from different directions. Equipment often extends or teaches those abilities, but his later advancement depends on formulations and laws he can reproduce through any Essence Soul avatar. (Chapters 95–136, 365–395, 481–490, 636–766)

Godfiend and physical-body foundation

At Archean Mountain, Meng Chuan chooses the Lightning Devastator Fiend Body and refines his body with successively harsher baneful auras. The system turns external lightning and baneful force into a Godfiend foundation whose strengths are speed, toughness, and explosive saber combat. Its refinement is dangerous rather than automatic; early sessions require exact materials and can injure or kill a disciple who exceeds what the body can bear. The Swaying Moonfall inheritance and alternate physical-body method broaden his options, but he retains lightning as his principal route. (Chapters 95–136)

He later advances through Undying and Blood Droplet stages. Undying grants powerful recovery and divine powers; Blood Droplet distributes vitality so thoroughly that even Starquix's prolonged karmic curse cannot kill him before he responds. This does not make him invulnerable: overwhelming attacks, Essence Soul destruction, or forces that suppress regeneration remain threats. Flowing Sand alters his personal time flow, while Heaven Earth Control lets him exert force at range, and both interact with the speed and perception on which his rescue role depends. (Chapters 256–269, 365–408)

The Chaos Hole realm is Meng Chuan's own unprecedented physical-body stage. He replaces his Source's prior governing structure with the perfected Infinite Saber, causing it to collapse for a year into a chaos hole. The new body grants a five-thousand-year lifespan, great strength, and a corporeal avatar, but it also exposes his mind to the suppressive character of real Chaos Holes during later accelerated cultivation. Devouring Primordial Stones gives the body an Eternal-like toughness without making it literally indestructible; Fifth- and Sixth-Tribulation forces can still injure it, and his two true bodies must be strengthened separately. (Chapters 481–490, 511–528, 542–550)

Essence Soul, avatars, and personal formulations

Meng Chuan awakens spiritual power early and progressively raises his Essence Soul through combat, painting, and insight. The Essence Soul gives perception beyond ordinary senses and supports direct mystic attacks, but using too much of its Origins can weaken every avatar at once. At the seventh level he can form nine Essence Soul avatars and a corporeal avatar; an Essence Soul avatar can be recreated cheaply after destruction, yet captured avatars can be sealed and excessive division reduces the power available to each. The eighth level makes his world projection and remote action decisive in the war's final stage. (Chapters 24–48, 191–216, 365–408, 481–490, 514–542)

Essence Soul Star, inherited through Heart Sea Palace, restructures his Essence Soul into a stable inner star and supplies recovery that lets him re-form Magic Awls rapidly. Eternal Road later teaches him to turn his Essence Soul into a Sea of Spacetime that exposes internal weaknesses. Neither legacy is his final formulation. During the sixth tribulation, indestructible Void Flames force him to alter his Essence Soul under immediate threat; later, he fuses lessons from both legacies with his own understanding to create Painting World, a scroll-like universe in which observed reality is selected, interpreted, and reconstructed by the painter. Painting World grows with the three thousand illusory arrays and his mastery of laws until it evolves into a real miniature spacetime. That evolution raises him to an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation lifeform and allows nine avatars to act at a scale that alters energy flow across the River of Spacetime. The achievement still does not grant indefinite life: the eighth Heavenly Tribulation follows and targets the adequacy of his accumulated wisdom. Only after the Fang Qi lifetime and Heaven's Behalf Array does he fully transcend, separate Archean Eon Realm's spacetime tributary, and become an Eternal disciple. (Chapters 702–710, 728–760, 762–766)

Saber arts

Meng Chuan's saber begins with Falling Leaf Saber and its Saber Drawing Stance. He values a swift saber because he genuinely likes its economy, then develops Saber Force, Saber Soul, Saber Dao, and the Realm of Dao through repeated drawing practice and battlefield pressure. Heart Intent Saber gives his training an established framework, while the damaged lightning fragment teaches Five Lightning Descent at real mental cost. Demon Slayer amplifies those techniques but is not their source; its blood- and baneful-aura appetite can threaten a weak-willed owner, which is why Meng Chuan renames and disciplines the weapon around killing demons. (Chapters 1–23, 35–48, 95–136, 137–245)

Infinite Saber is his signature paramount-speed technique. It grows from the need to reach threatened people sooner, and its early forms trade breadth for a single concentrated line of extreme speed. At the Grotto-Heaven and Imperial Lord levels it accelerates the time flow around Meng Chuan and lets the saber cross great distances during what appears to others as stillness. The technique's limitation is its specialization: speed does not automatically provide a powerful domain, broad control, or the destructive finality needed against every body. Meng Chuan therefore combines it with spatial movement, physical strength, arrays, or the destructive Saber of Nirvana according to the opponent. (Chapters 323–350, 414–465, 481–490, 517–550)

Saber of Nirvana comes from Meng Chuan's contemplation of collapse and final stillness. It is more destructive than Infinite Saber but initially represents a path unsuitable as the foundation of his body or Essence Soul, and its mental orientation contributes to the emotional suppression he later confronts. After Backbone, he does not discard Nirvana; he integrates its destructive profundity with Infinite Saber's speed. That fusion lets him contest powerful outer-realm bodies, including Cave Lord Scenic Cloud, while his later Heaven Splitting insights supply a still sharper conceptual opposite to the Chaos Hole. Speed, movement, and spatial control

Cloud Dragon Snake Movement Technique is Meng Chuan's self-developed movement path. It emphasizes elusive changes through space rather than Infinite Saber's direct temporal acceleration. Selfless Formless Sword and the Void Catalog provide external models, but Meng Chuan repeatedly verifies their descriptions in actual void layers and Chaos Hole distortions. As the technique reaches higher realms, it grants teleportation, broad spatial perception, and the domain-lineage understanding needed to approach complete spatial law. It remains less direct as an attack than his saber arts, so he uses it to position, evade, scout, and establish arrays. (Chapters 323–350, 414–465, 503–528, 567–590)

The complete spatial law gives him absolute control over nearby space and makes ordinary long-distance escape methods far less reliable against him. The Void Trileaf Flower supplies the final insight, while the Spacetime Token extends his domain through a refined pocket universe. The token can project a domain comparable to a Seventh Tribulation domain across billions of kilometers, but it is an item-derived effect and was initially a weakness if lost. By the time Meng Chuan grasps full time and space, the same scale of control belongs to his law and Essence Soul rather than depending solely on the token. (Chapters 640–681, 688–695, 737–748)

Perception and rescue

The Divine Eye of Lightning and electromagnetic domain make Meng Chuan uniquely effective at finding enemies underground. The ability uses electromagnetic fluctuations rather than ordinary sight, allowing his perception to penetrate earth across enormous areas and distinguish hidden demon monarchs. He combines that information with speed and the Bloodblade Disc, searching in systematic sweeps and sending Bloodblades or Quintessential Essence against detected targets. Concealment formations, deeper void layers, or effects designed specifically to disrupt his sensing can still counter it, which is why demon sages eventually build traps around the expected pattern of his patrols. (Chapters 246–298, 323–364)

At higher Essence Soul levels, this reconnaissance becomes world-scale perception and projection. Meng Chuan can station avatars in different regions, project an Essence Soul World, and follow karmic or bloodline connections across spacetime. Karmic links let him locate people whose lives depend on his choice, as at Changpo Planet, while bloodline perception alerts him to Meng Yu. These senses are not omniscience: inhabited-world barriers, mystic-realm concealment, and sufficiently powerful spacetime arrangements can obscure a target, and his search for the hidden source of the final tribulation's fiends takes an entire mortal lifetime. Essence Soul mystic techniques

Meng Chuan's early Soul-Vanquishing Spike converts Essence Soul power into a direct attack that can interrupt a stronger physical opponent, as against Fu Jiao. Magic Awl is the more dangerous forbidden development: it condenses a substantial portion of the Essence Soul into an awl that pierces an enemy's Essence Soul. The cost is proportional to the portion committed, so a failed or shattered awl can badly injure its user. Essence Soul Star's recovery later lets Meng Chuan reform awls quickly, enabling repeated strikes against Nine Abyss and Cave Lord Scenic Cloud, but targets with stronger Essence Souls, appropriate treasures, or sufficient will can resist or survive them. Pupil of Darkness is an Eighth Tribulation mystic technique used through Meng Chuan's eyes. It draws a target's consciousness into darkness and destroys the Essence Soul; when Black Fiend Hall raiders revive through Undying Talismans, he simply applies it again, showing that temporal restoration is not a lasting counter while he remains present. The technique can also pursue connected bodies through karma. Its effectiveness still depends on the gap in Essence Soul and will: the corpus demonstrates devastating results against lower Tribulation cultivators and meaningful pressure against peers, but it does not establish that the technique automatically defeats every equal or superior Eminence. At the Eighth Tribulation level, Meng Chuan can inspect and remove alien Essence Soul corruption that even Hall Lord White Avian and Fiend Eye had been unable to cure. This healing is not an earlier general ability retroactively available to him; it follows the transformation of his Essence Soul into real spacetime. He treats White Avian's wriggling black contamination and later extracts the blood-colored corruption from Fiend Eye, repaying allies whose support made his ascent possible. (Chapters 641–642, 739–740, 752–756)

Laws, domains, and arrays

Meng Chuan's law progression is cumulative. Lightning law grows from his oldest body and saber foundation and grants control over ubiquitous lightning at Sixth Tribulation scale. Painting at Holy Mountain reveals the lepton law, the smallest-scale structure of matter. Spatial law follows from the Void Catalog, movement practice, Great Seal verification, and the Void Trileaf Flower. None alone completes his aim: he uses the interaction among lightning, leptons, and space to approach the Chaos Hole law, an Origins law governing devouring, compression, domains, and return toward collapse. (Chapters 603–605, 636–676, 688–696)

The cyan insight fruit lets him experience the opposing Heaven Splitting law before he comprehends it. At first he can only form a Heaven Splitting Blade—an item-enabled acquired application resembling a forbidden creature's innate power rather than full mastery. Repeated use and Dry Origin Mountain study eventually yield the law itself. He combines both Origins laws in Chaos Hole Heaven Splitting: multiple Essence Soul avatars form destructive blades or dark holes whose opposed transformations tear bodies and nearby timelines. Powerful forbidden creatures can still revive from a sufficiently distant past or survive through a hidden Life Core, so Meng Chuan develops larger arrays and learns to target the source rather than only the manifested body. (Chapters 688–703, 727–735)

His arrays range from prepared battlefield structures to personal formations. Yin-Yang Grand World Array traps Scenic Cloud and adds attacks stronger than Meng Chuan's unaided blows, but it requires components and setup; concealment depends on his speed. Later, thousands of Dark Chaos Holes form an Ouroboros-like structure capable of devouring a top forbidden creature. In the Exorcism tribulation, his ultimate Heaven's Behalf Array is divided into thirty-five parts across thousands of kilometers. It is the result of a century of inference, artifact refinement, and experimentation, not a restored cosmic technique, and it succeeds only because he persists long enough to finish it before Fang Qi's mortal body fails. Painting Dao and will

Painting begins as Meng Chuan's rest from cultivation, but it becomes his most reliable way to join observation, emotion, and structure. People Resonance, the Fifteen Lightning Forms, the paintings of Qiyue, Backbone, and Painting World each arise when he turns lived evidence into a form that preserves more than physical likeness. The practice does not grant automatic breakthroughs; some works require decades or millennia of observation, and an ordinary canvas can fail when it cannot contain the law expressed by his brush. Its lasting effect is to keep his cultivation connected to people and reality rather than abstract power alone. (Chapters 3–4, 24–34, 299–322, 481–490, 538–540, 661–663, 702–703)

Fiend Mountain's path of the mind strengthens his will through relentless pressure from the summit's voice. Progress is measured by how far he can walk while maintaining the integrity of his Essence Soul, and advancement slows sharply when his formulation contains unresolved weaknesses. Eternal Road and later life-history paintings help him refine will through understanding rather than mere endurance. Even after grasping time and space, he needs the mortality, uncertainty, and family losses of Fang Qi's life to develop enough wisdom for the eighth tribulation. His latest mastery is therefore not freedom from pressure, but the demonstrated capacity to reconstruct a path when every previous cultivation advantage is denied. • Liu Qiyue: Meng Chuan's childhood companion, battlefield partner, wife, and principal emotional anchor. Their complementary speed and archery shape their early service; her sacrifice at Snow Wind Pass drives his search for longevity, while her presence steadies him before the final tribulation.
• Qin Wu: His Archean Mountain master, who directs him toward a coherent foundation, protects him during the Three Terminal Formation ambush, and entrusts him with increasing responsibility for the sect and human race.
• Meng Dajiang: His father and early moral example. Meng Chuan clears Dajiang's false Skydemon accusation, reunites him with Bai Nianyun, and later arranges suspended sleep and longevity opportunities for him.
• Bai Nianyun: His mother, believed dead during much of his childhood. Discovering her identity clarifies the family separation; Meng Chuan later uses a hard-won reward to free her from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven's restrictions.
• Meng An: His son and inheritor of Ancestral Master Archean Eon's special training plan. Meng Chuan equips him for the outer realm and later crosses spacetime to save his wife and child.
• Meng Yu: His grandson, first met in Earth Cloud Mystic Realm. Meng Chuan protects him without removing every hardship, then intervenes again when an outer-realm attacker tries to seize his treasure.
• Realm Ancestor: An elder benefactor who explains Fiend Mountain, gives him Eternal Road, transfers knowledge and resources, and trusts him to protect later generations as the ancestor's life ends.
• Hall Lord White Avian: His faction leader, sponsor, and later peer. White Avian invests rare Essence Soul treasures in Meng Chuan and sacrifices cultivation time to contain Myriad Star; Meng Chuan repays that faith by relieving the seal and curing his injury.
• Emperor Roc: The surviving principal architect of the demon invasion and Meng Chuan's long-term enemy. Meng Chuan first defeats his plans, later tracks him through the outer realm, and finally kills him with a karmic attack.
