Void Catalog

The Void Catalog is the River of Spacetime's premier void-lineage manual. Its three volumes do not teach a single combat move. Instead, they explain space from complementary angles and connect its principles to other laws, giving Meng Chuan the conceptual framework for his long pursuit of the complete spatial law.

History

One costly volume becomes a complete foundation

Meng Chuan first learns of the catalog from Senior Cang Xing's cave-abode guardian. The guardian offers a basic-level Eternal Token that can purchase one volume, and Meng accepts a karmic obligation connected to hunting forbidden creatures in return. After joining Eternal Tower, he spends the token on the third volume, a 209-page black book whose words and drawings enter his mind before the physical copy turns to dust. Its domain-focused explanations immediately help his Cloud Dragon Snake Movement Technique break through. (Chapters 567–572)

After reaching the Sixth Tribulation realm, Meng Chuan consigns treasures through Eternal Tower and uses them as collateral to buy the first and second volumes for 600,000 cubes. The complete catalog becomes the center of his spatial-law studies, supplemented by unusual environments, the Great Seal, and the Void Trileaf Flower. That combined preparation lets him overcome his final bottleneck and grasp the spatial law; he continues drawing on the catalog while advancing toward time and the higher laws of spacetime. Dragon Ancestor later confirms that the Void Catalog was left by an Eternal existence. Its subject is narrower than many Eternal legacies—it concentrates on the spatial law—but its clarity and depth are sufficient to guide cultivation toward the top Eighth Tribulation realm. (Chapter 757)

Abilities and properties

Spatial instruction rather than a fixed technique

Each volume presents words and drawings that dissect the void and lead readers through different branches of spatial understanding. The third volume emphasizes domains; the full set connects space to lightning, fire, wind, earth, and other laws. It is a guide rather than an automatic inheritance: readers must digest its principles, test them against the universe, and form their own techniques. (Chapters 567, 572, and 641)

Uses, limits, and current state

The catalog broadens Meng Chuan's void domain, organizes his accumulated insights, and guides his work on Void Domain, Void Control, and Void Walk. Even the complete set cannot force the final breakthrough; perception and sufficient accumulation remain necessary. Eternal Tower's transmitted reading copies must be read immediately and cannot be removed from headquarters; Meng's third-volume copy turns to dust after its contents enter his mind. Seventh Tribulation readers can reproduce the text, so copies exist beyond Eternal Tower even though access remains expensive and controlled. By the latest chapters, Meng Chuan has read all three volumes and retains their teachings as a central part of his spacetime foundation. (Chapters 571–572, 641–642, 655–658, and 757)
