Heart Sea Palace

The Heart Sea Palace is one of the Eon Sea Sect's three cornerstone treasures. It evaluates a cultivator's Essence Soul potential through a mental trial and preserves a systematic collection of Essence Soul mystic techniques. Meng Chuan earns its highest historical evaluation and later transfers the entire palace to Archean Mountain.

History

A trial establishes Meng Chuan's inheritance claim

The palace tests more than present cultivation. Its ranking accounts for age, Essence Soul realm, and willpower, forcing entrants to endure escalating mental pressure until they can no longer continue. Meng Chuan's exhausted mind recovers when the trial ends, and his performance places him first in the palace's historical ranking. Combined with his Battle God Pagoda result, that achievement satisfies the condition for inheriting the Eon Sea Sect. (Chapters 378–389)

After becoming the sect's inheritor, Meng Chuan returns to the palace to study its books. He finds a broad collection of Essence Soul methods, including the Essence Soul Star and Magic Awl system that becomes central to his later combat. Rather than keep the inheritance isolated, he places the palace in his portable grotto-heaven and delivers it to Archean Mountain. (Chapters 382–391)

Abilities and properties

The Heart Sea trial applies mental pressure and evaluates how far an entrant can advance under it. The result is comparative rather than a simple measurement of Essence Soul realm: age and willpower affect placement, so the historical ranking represents potential under the palace's criteria. The ordeal can exhaust the mind, but the palace restores the entrant when the test concludes. (Chapters 380–381)

The palace also serves as an archive of Essence Soul mystic techniques. Its collection includes both cultivation and combat methods, allowing qualified readers to study a complete tradition rather than a single isolated legacy. The power still depends on the cultivator: possessing a manual does not supply the required Essence Soul realm, willpower, or mastery. (Chapters 382–390)

The structure can be moved as a whole inside a sufficiently large grotto-heaven. Meng Chuan uses that property to transfer it safely to Archean Mountain, where its trials and library become part of humanity's shared foundation. Its latest state in the corpus is intact and available to the sect; no later event removes or destroys it. (Chapters 390–391 and 550)
