Su Chen

Su Chen is the principal architect of humanity's escape from bloodline-dependent cultivation. Beginning as a blinded heir whom his own clan gradually abandoned, he turns an inexplicable alteration to his eyes into a method of observing Origin Energy and living matter, then builds research, combat techniques, institutions, and finally an immortal-energy system around what he learns. His defining achievement is not merely becoming the strongest human of his era, but converting discoveries that could have remained private advantages into a path that ordinary humans can follow.

Biography

Blindness and the Northface struggle

Su Chen begins as the gifted Fourth Young Master of Northface City's Su Clan, already distinguished by his scholarship, cultivation, and habit of questioning accepted history. His prospects collapse when a disguised old beggar pierces his eyes and leaves him blind. Although his father shifts his hopes toward a new son and Su Chen's standing in the household erodes, Su Chen refuses to treat blindness as the end of his life. He continues training because he believes that if even a small chance of recovery exists, he must be ready when it arrives; that decision turns endurance, rather than inherited status, into the foundation of his identity. (Chapters 1–20)

Years of navigating darkness also change how Su Chen solves problems. He compensates with hearing, memory, inference, and deliberate misdirection, becoming less willing to accept other people's claims at face value. When his vision gradually returns, he hides the recovery rather than surrendering the advantage it gives him over relatives who have tried to displace him. He ventures into the Scarlet Mountain Range, deliberately tests himself against Vicious Beasts, and discovers that his altered eyes can isolate fast movement and later perceive minute substances. These trials restore his confidence but also teach him that observation alone is not strength: he must still train his body, prepare tools, and choose when to retreat. (Chapters 21–90)

Su Chen's growing independence brings him into repeated bargains with the Immortal Temple and into conflict with people who assume a bloodline-less youth can be bullied without consequence. He uses Corpse Spirit Flowers and other scarce resources as leverage, insists that agreements carry a price when broken, and begins using blood, medicines, and Origin Substances as experimental material. His attachment to Gu Qingluo becomes the emotional counterpoint to this calculated life: he eventually admits that his sight returned while she believed him blind, and their mutual confession is immediately followed by her departure from Northface. Hurt but no longer willing to remain confined by his clan, he leaves with Iron Cliff, travels to the Cloud Rising border, and proceeds to the Hidden Dragon Institute on his own terms. Hidden Dragon Institute and the ruins

At the Hidden Dragon Institute, Su Chen finds both the education he needs and a clearer purpose for his private questions. He asks Shi Kaihuang to accept him as a disciple because the older scholar is attempting to free human cultivation from inherited bloodlines. Shi Kaihuang warns him that the real obstacle is not only technical difficulty: successful research will threaten bloodline nobles, may bring little gratitude, and may have to be released without proportional reward. Su Chen accepts those risks without pretending to be selfless. He chooses the path because his own blindness taught him to preserve hope in darkness, and because he believes neither he nor his instructor needs to walk it alone. (Chapters 154–173)

That choice governs his decade at the Institute. Su Chen spends long periods away from public competitions, working with Shi Kaihuang on cultivation theory and applying his microscopic sight, the Brooke Formula, and Origin Substance research to problems that bloodline inheritance had previously concealed. Their first decisive result is a reliable method for entering the Blood Boiling Realm without a bloodline. Rather than treating that achievement as the endpoint, Su Chen recognizes that common cultivators also require combat techniques capable of contesting Bloodline Origin Skills; his research therefore expands into improved fire techniques, movement skills, medicines, and systems for modifying or channeling Origin Substances. The work draws hostility, but it also gives bloodline-less students proof that their limits are not immutable. (Chapters 174–254)

Field missions force Su Chen to test whether those principles survive outside a laboratory. He works with classmates including Cloud Leopard, confronts students who regard commoners as expendable, and repeatedly uses preparation and coordination to overcome stronger inherited abilities. In the ancient research complex encountered near the end of his Institute years, he identifies the imprisoned consciousness presenting itself as an assistant as the Arcana Master Patelocke. Bringing Patelocke and the surviving research knowledge out of the ruins gives Su Chen a collaborator who understands Ancient Arcana Techniques and life transformation from a different intellectual tradition. By graduation, Su Chen rejects the safety of remaining a lecturer: he wants a post that supplies real problems, neglected relics, and lawful access to condemned research subjects, while keeping him near Gu Qingluo in Longxi. Clear River's underground conflict

Su Chen accepts appointment as a Knowledge Executor in Clear River City knowing that the Crow Region's weak government and entrenched Bloodline Nobility Clans will make the position dangerous. His first choices announce how he intends to use authority: he deliberately takes the bandit-infested road, captures killers rather than avoiding them, and turns those condemned men into a disciplined force or research subjects according to their conduct. In the city, he discovers that formal office alone cannot overcome private armies, gangs, river pirates, and officials beholden to the ten great clans. Instead of seeking a clean confrontation, he builds his own information, commercial, and military base while testing which institutions and individuals can be made to work together. (Chapters 342–396)

The resulting struggle is both political and personal. Su Chen cooperates with City Lord An Siyuan where their interests align, bargains with gangs and the Immortal Temple, and captures clan heirs who attack him so that their secret techniques and bodies can become evidence for his research. These methods are severe, but he maintains a stated boundary: he will use enemies and criminals created by the conflict, yet rejects manufacturing enemies merely to obtain experimental subjects. At the same time, Patelocke's instruction strengthens Su Chen's consciousness and helps him understand that his eyes are approaching the microscopic control once associated with the Arcana Race. The conflict thereby becomes a proving ground for his ethics as well as his science—he learns to turn coercive structures against themselves without pretending that the process is gentle. When the clans combine their resources to destroy him, Su Chen refuses to reduce the contest to a duel of cultivation levels. He uses concealment, teleportation, allies, medicines, the Shadow Flame and Primordial Blood Incarnations, and the Mountain-Beheading Blade to survive forces that are individually stronger than he is. His victory breaks the old alliance, while the Origin Bureau and a reorganized underground order stabilize trade and sharply improve the city's prosperity. After completing his term, he leaves office rather than converting public gratitude into permanent rule. The farewell crowds confirm that his choices produced a durable civic consequence, while his arrangements with An Siyuan and local allies show that he has learned to preserve institutions and relationships even after removing himself from command. (Chapters 452–506)

Ravager territory and the imperial contest

Su Chen next joins the Immortal Temple's expedition to West Laina Castle, attracted by both its Arcana legacy and the possibility that Kapius's research may answer questions about consciousness and life. The mission entangles him with Zhu Xianyao, whose party he infiltrates under a false identity. When the disguise collapses, their conflict is complicated by the affection produced during the deception and by Su Chen's later efforts to repair what he has done rather than merely exploiting it. He continues to study her Slyheart bloodline and its Origin Substances with her participation, improving its capabilities while their relationship becomes personally consequential. This period shows both his willingness to deceive for an objective and his growing recognition that people affected by his schemes cannot always be treated as variables. (Chapters 507–567)

News that Shi Kaihuang and the Heavenly Might Battalion are trapped in Ravager territory redirects Su Chen's priorities. He crosses the border, adopts Ravager disguises, gathers information as he travels, and searches for the isolated human force rather than waiting for an official rescue. His research accompanies the campaign: experiments on bloodlines, Origin Temples, Ravager hereditary methods, and his own Primordial Blood Incarnation improve both his body and his ability to cultivate without inherited blood. Once he finds survivors, he does not simply lead them toward the border. He trains and strengthens them, develops ways for bloodline-less cultivators to advance, and uses mobility, misinformation, and Ravager political divisions to keep a force that should have been annihilated alive. Su Chen's boldest choice is to enter the Ravager imperial contest rather than fight the entire country directly. He maneuvers around Emperor Anubi's appetites and rival factions, turns spectacle and flattery into strategic cover, and encourages decisions that weaken the pursuit of the humans. Within a Ravager Origin Energy Temple he reaches the Light Shaking Realm without taking a bloodline, then helps other soldiers find repeatable routes toward the same breakthrough. The escape saves the Heavenly Might Battalion and damages the Ravagers, but it also makes Su Chen vulnerable to human political enemies who question his Immortal Temple contacts. He answers through the public value of his achievements, secures Ten Thousand Swords Mountain and the veteran battalion, and transforms a reward that could have been merely personal territory into the foundation of the Boundless Sect. Harpy lands and Sky City

As Sect Master, Su Chen inherits a new pressure: discoveries that once strengthened a small team must now support a growing institution. He establishes graded access to cultivation and combat techniques, obtains repeatable sources of useful Origin Substances, and uses the Origin Bone Scepter to seek productive directions instead of demanding complete answers from uncertain futures. He is generous with the core bloodline-free path but does not abandon all distinctions between public knowledge and sect resources; techniques such as the Flaming Phoenix Theurgy Art and specialized Origin Conducting Tools become rewards that sustain training, discipline, and contribution. This balance allows the Boundless Sect to expand without reducing it to either a private clan or an uncontrolled distribution point. (Chapters 736–800)

Su Chen's involvement with the Harpies begins through the Zhu Clan's conflict over Flat Sky City and a hidden broodmother, then carries him into Sky Country itself. Traveling with Zhu Xianyao and Patelocke, he studies Harpy Arcana scholarship, ancient transmission technology, spatial theory, the Lightless Ring, and the defenses that keep Sky City aloft. He enters these lands as an infiltrator and negotiator rather than a conqueror, repeatedly using information asymmetry and political bargains to reach places raw human force cannot. The Chaos Tower's accumulated spatial knowledge broadens his earlier work on Whitetower Teleportation, while combat against high-tier Arcana Masters forces him to distinguish elegant theoretical control from techniques that remain effective under turbulent battlefield conditions. The struggle around the Mother Goddess Sect and Sky City pushes Su Chen from Origin Skills toward Method Power. He survives attacks whose mechanisms do not fit ordinary cultivation, advances through the Spirit Burning Realm with a Divine Palace of his own design, and gains insight into spatial and other governing principles. His victories bring treasures and leverage, but his long-term consequence is institutional: when he returns, the Boundless Sect has tens of thousands of applicants because it alone holds the bloodline-free Light Shaking method. Su Chen refuses to define success as permanent monopoly. He accepts temporary controls that allow the sect to mature, but states that eventual leakage will benefit humanity, and gives the whole sequence of bloodline-free methods the name Flying Immortal Cultivation Techniques—a declaration that their real purpose is to take ordinary humans beyond the limits once assigned to them. The Boundless Sect and the sea campaign

Five years later, the Boundless Sect has become a self-sustaining power spread across many peaks, with agriculture, medicine, commerce, field assignments, and training all feeding its growth. Su Chen remains its intellectual center rather than its daily administrator: Li Chongshan and the other veterans impose the structure that he often lacks the inclination to maintain. The sect's success creates a new responsibility. Its bloodline-free cultivators are no longer a theory but an army, so Su Chen must decide when that force should act beyond its own borders. He joins the campaign across the sea not simply to acquire resources, but to address the Deep Sea Sorrow and the destructive order surrounding the Abyss while testing whether the sect can operate at continental scale. (Chapters 921–980)

The sea and void confront Su Chen with phenomena that cannot be solved by repeating established techniques. He studies Oceanid history, uses his microscopic eye and consciousness crystal to investigate spatial turbulence, and extracts a void Origin Substance that helps him survive destructive fluctuations he cannot yet fully control. The experience strengthens his spatial Method Power and reinforces his characteristic method: observe an effect, isolate the relevant substance or rule, develop a temporary counter, and only then attempt a general technique. When the Boundless Sect returns, it is vastly stronger, and Su Chen has reached Thought Manifestation. He uses that strength to overcome human opposition without allowing a conventional kingdom to absorb or dismantle the sect. (Chapters 981–1005)

Su Chen then brings the Boundless Sect into an alliance with Danba's Ravagers against the Astrals. The assault on Gloom City culminates in the destruction of an ancient power that had preyed on other races through consciousness control. From the captured Consciousness Converter Instrument and the mechanics of the campaign, Su Chen completes a workable route through the final stages of the Flying Immortal system: external formations, medicines, and reusable instruments still assist some breakthroughs, so he does not falsely present the path as wholly self-contained, but they replace the exclusive requirement for inherited blood. The Consciousness Totem further develops his God-Sealing Method Power, enabling him to grant intelligence to puppets. After the victory, he turns the Astrals' enormous archives into research material and withdraws into study rather than converting conquest into an empire. (Chapters 1006–1045)

The returning gods and humanity's final war

By the time Su Chen creates Paradise Genesis—a stable isolated void capable of housing much of the Boundless Sect's resource base—he is regarded as the leading figure of the human race. Yet the achievement matters to him chiefly as another reproducible frontier. His attention shifts when traces of worship and divine influence reveal that the absent gods are preparing to return. Investigation of the Flying Moon Emperor's throne shows him how faith and sacrifice move power across the Barrier of the Gods, while the vitality energy he detects points toward a force distinct from Origin Energy. Rather than accepting divine power as an unknowable gift, he treats it as another phenomenon to analyze and eventually uncovers immortal energy, which can oppose and consume divine power. (Chapters 1046–1057)

Immortal energy requires Su Chen to revise his earlier success rather than simply add a new weapon to it. His first Golden Pill is formed through external circumstances and proves incomplete; in battle against Desolate Beasts he works backward, identifies Foundation Establishment and the stage beneath it, and reconstructs the system's missing base. The crucial distinction is that immortal energy arises from a cultivator's internal world, while Method Power and divine power draw on the laws and authority of the external world. Its quality lets it pierce or neutralize powers that resist ordinary Origin Energy, heal otherwise persistent injuries, and convert divine power, but limited reserves can still be overwhelmed by vastly greater quantities. Su Chen therefore distributes the new path, establishes forces to oppose divine infiltration, and keeps refining cultivation rather than treating his own breakthrough as sufficient preparation. (Chapters 1058–1124)

When the Barrier weakens, Su Chen coordinates humans, Harpies, Ravagers, Oceanids, and Origin Beasts against the gods instead of demanding that the Boundless Sect fight alone. He sends agents and prepared tools into Kun's territory, uses the gods' divisions and need for faith against them, and learns from the Human Ancestor that humanity's hidden history is inseparable from the earlier Immortals' defeat. In the final confrontation, he supplies the Human Ancestor with a strand of immortal energy that becomes the seed for destroying the Dream God's power, then joins him against the remaining gods. Su Chen refuses the Beast God's offer of servitude because his goal is not to possess divinity but to end humanity's dependence on gods. The victory establishes the immortal path as a collective human power, not a privilege bestowed from above. (Chapters 1125–1157)

After the war, Su Chen resigns as Sect Master and gives the position to Ye Fenghan, confirming that leadership was always instrumental to his research rather than his desired identity. Three hundred years later he discovers Hollowness, reconciling Origin Energy and immortal energy while distinguishing tangible from abstract phenomena. Eight hundred years after that, he withstands descending lightning and passes through a portal into another realm, establishing what later generations call Tribulation-Crossing. He never returns to the Origin Realm, so his ultimate fate is unknown; what remains is a seven-stage cultivation sequence and a human civilization in which cultivation is broadly accessible. His final development thus completes the promise made during his blindness: he prepares for light without knowing when or how it will arrive, then leaves others able to continue after he walks beyond the visible path. Appearance and personality

As a child, Su Chen has delicate features and an unusually composed manner. By the time he establishes the Boundless Sect, he is described as a handsome, refined young man with pale, clean features who often wears well-made robes; his advanced cultivation preserves that youthful appearance across the story's long time spans. His eyes are visually ordinary enough that he can conceal their changes, but their internal capabilities develop from restored sight to motion tracking, microscopic perception, and Origin Energy observation. (Chapters 1, 36, and 736)

Su Chen is persistent, analytical, and intensely curious. He prefers to understand why a rule exists before accepting it, and he treats battles, ruins, unfamiliar societies, and even personal setbacks as evidence that can refine his models. That curiosity is paired with pragmatism: he lies, disguises himself, bargains with criminals, and prepares stacked advantages when an objective demands it. Even so, he repeatedly articulates a bottom line against creating victims merely for convenience, and his maturation is partly a movement from treating every relationship as a solvable calculation toward accepting loyalty, love, responsibility, and uncertainty as forces that cannot be reduced to profit. (Chapters 1, 153, 357, 562, and 801)

His public idealism is similarly qualified rather than saintly. Su Chen wants humanity to rise, but he admits that he also wants freedom, resources, recognition, and the pleasure of research. What makes him consequential is his willingness to release foundational discoveries despite those private motives, while preserving enough structure to protect his collaborators and keep the work sustainable. He is comfortable with authority when it advances that program, yet repeatedly leaves office once the institution can survive him—first in Clear River, later in the Boundless Sect, and finally in the Origin Realm itself. (Chapters 173, 506, 920, 1047, and 1157)

Abilities and cultivation

Su Chen's capabilities are built as an integrated research system rather than a single inherited power. His altered eyes supply observations, his consciousness methods store and analyze them, experiments turn those observations into medicines or techniques, and the resulting cultivation and combat systems are repeatedly revised through battle. Many of his strongest achievements depend on external knowledge, tools, collaborators, or temporary substances; the text presents his genius in combining and generalizing those inputs, not in producing every component without assistance.

Altered eyes and microscopic perception

The old beggar's attack first blinds Su Chen, then gradually changes his sight. The eyes recover in stages: he perceives light, regains normal vision, and develops motion vision that can resolve high-speed movement without actually slowing time or accelerating his body. Activating motion vision fatigues his eyes and can blur ordinary sight until they recover, so its value depends on Su Chen's own reactions and training. Later changes allow him to perceive microscopic substances, poisons, bloodline components, and the gathering and dispersal of Origin Energy. Those observations make it possible for him to isolate variables that other researchers can only infer. (Chapters 1–36, 90, and 140)

The eyes are therefore more important as a research instrument than as a direct attack. Su Chen uses them to track poison through his own body, recognize Origin Substances, analyze blood and medicine, improve Origin Energy absorption, and eventually examine spatial and consciousness phenomena in combination with other senses. Microscopic sight does not automatically confer microscopic control: early on, he can see substances that his consciousness is too weak to manipulate, and he needs Patelocke's True Spirit Technique, medicines, instruments, and long practice to close that gap. At later stages he supplements physical microscopic sight with a Heart Eye for consciousness entities, but the latter is a developed detection technique rather than another unexplained property of his original eyes. Flying Immortal Cultivation Techniques

Su Chen's foundational project begins under Shi Kaihuang with a reliable, bloodline-free way to enter the Blood Boiling Realm. Their approach treats bloodline power as one method of controlling or strengthening Origin Energy rather than an irreplaceable essence. Su Chen extends the work through the Yang Opening and Light Shaking Realms by studying Origin Substances, Lotus Platforms, Origin Energy Temples, and environmental energy flow. Some breakthroughs still require external support: the Light Shaking method can rely on a formation or a sufficiently powerful helper, and later ascensions use medicines or instruments. These constraints make the system manufacturable and repeatable, but not effortless. (Chapters 172–197, 382, 500, and 700–709)

At the Spirit Burning Realm, Su Chen creates a consciousness-compression process and a detailed Abundant Revolution Palace linked to his Origin Sea by eight chains, greatly increasing energy transmission and letting him manipulate environmental Origin Energy with thought. He later reaches Thought Manifestation and the Ultimate Emperor Realm, using the Consciousness Converter Instrument and accumulated research to complete a path through all seven formerly bloodline-dependent human realms. He eventually names this body of work the Flying Immortal Cultivation Techniques. The name predates his discovery of actual immortal energy; it expresses the aspiration that any human might climb beyond inherited limits, not a claim that these early stages already use immortal power. Primordial Blood Incarnation

The Primordial Blood Incarnation grows from Su Chen's bloodline research and the principles behind bloodline afterimages, but it is neither a conventional inherited bloodline, a normal cultivable Origin Skill, nor a simple body-refining art. He initially designs it as a concentrated reservoir and amplifier: the manifestation stores Origin Energy and magnifies strength, size, speed, and physical force. It can act as a giant external figure, focus around part of his body, or merge more closely with his physique. Its blank, adaptable construction lets Su Chen combine it with the Hemolytic Totem and other techniques without assigning it a fixed beast identity. (Chapters 429, 456–457, and 616–622)

In combat, Su Chen coats the Incarnation with Shadow Flames, pairs it with movement techniques, and gives it appropriately expanding weapons such as the Mountain-Beheading Blade. The combined form can crush conventional defenses, contend with Ravager physical power, and reach an immense scale during the beast-wave battles. Its strength does not remove ordinary resource limits: maintaining the manifestation and its flames consumes large amounts of Origin Energy, prolonged fighting exhausts Su Chen's physical reserves even when Origin Stones restore energy, and sufficiently powerful direct attacks can penetrate the Incarnation and his layered defenses. Its later forms demonstrate refinements in control and scale rather than invulnerability. (Chapters 457–480, 543, 588–589, and 616)

Fire, shadow, and Ancient Arcana Techniques

Su Chen learns the Brooke Formula from Arcana records and uses it to deconstruct and alter Origin Energy Patterns. His Erupting Firebird combines the Arcana Firebird pattern with the Flying Flower Hands: modifying the pattern makes the construct stable enough to receive the throwing technique's force, producing a maneuverable attack stronger than the components used separately. This research develops into the Flaming Phoenix Theurgy Art, whose power rises through additional fire Origin Substances and later becomes teachable within the Boundless Sect. The techniques remain energy-intensive, and their effects can be weakened by hostile energy environments or resisted by opponents with superior elemental control. Shadow Flames originate from combining a corrosive Shadow Origin Substance with fire. Su Chen shapes them as claws, giants, and a coating for the Primordial Blood Incarnation, using their corrosion to wear down barriers and living targets. They are not a universal answer: his supply and concentration of the relevant Origin Substance initially limit their force, maintaining the Shadow Flame Giant drains Origin Energy continuously, and the flames have insufficient Yang power against fiends that exist between reality and illusion. Su Chen's usual response to such limits is combination rather than insistence, adding physical force, weapons, teleportation, or later immortal energy when the target's nature demands it. Whitetower Teleportation begins as a complicated, short-range Arcana Technique that Su Chen can prepare for occasional use. Patelocke identifies it as a deliberately reduced form of Void Jumping, allowing Su Chen to remove redundant pattern structures as his cultivation rises. Its range, activation, and repeatability improve over time, and it becomes one of his principal tools for infiltration, sudden attacks, and escape. The early version cannot be used freely in rapid succession, while later advances depend on both higher cultivation and Su Chen's increasing understanding of space; eventually that research contributes to spatial Method Power and the creation of Paradise Genesis. Consciousness, calculation, and research methods

Patelocke's True Spirit Technique strengthens Su Chen's consciousness control and helps him maintain clarity during complex analysis. Su Chen later acquires and uses a consciousness crystal, which greatly expands memory and calculation but does not independently provide judgment or prophecy. Together with clones, laboratories, medicines, and recovered archives, these tools let him process many research threads at once, reverse-engineer Ancient Arcana Techniques, model bloodline interactions, and read enormous collections of records. His successes remain experimental: uncertain results require subjects and repeated trials, medicines may have side effects, and the Origin Bone Scepter's visions depend on sacrifices and the predictability of the future rather than guaranteeing a desired outcome. His offensive and defensive consciousness abilities grow with the same foundation. Su Chen can use illusion, detection, resistance, and direct consciousness attacks, and later forms the Heart Eye to perceive entities in the consciousness realm. Through the Consciousness Totem he deepens God-Sealing Method Power, eventually granting ordinary puppets independent awareness and improved combat judgment. This animation is a demonstrated extension of consciousness Method Power, not proof that he can create unrestricted life: he applies it to prepared puppets, and he remains wary of crossing the line between intelligent tools and autonomous creatures. Method Power and immortal energy

Su Chen develops Method Power by combining direct insight, Totems, accumulated knowledge, and repeated use. Wind, Thunder, Vitality, Consciousness, and spatial principles contribute to his repertoire, while God-Sealing becomes one of his most distinctive applications. Method Power lets him interact with the governing principles of the external world, but understanding one principle does not grant mastery over every application. Paradise Genesis, for example, requires years of preparation, exceptional spatial comprehension, and large quantities of Void Starmetal and Void Crystals; it is not a casual act of creation. Immortal energy emerges from Su Chen's investigation of vitality, divine power, worship, and the incomplete Golden Pill formed under unusual circumstances. Unlike divine power and external Method Power, it is cultivated from within the practitioner. It can consume and convert divine power, reinforce attacks against otherwise resistant beings, protect body and consciousness, and expel lingering hostile energy. Its quality is superior to ordinary Origin Energy and especially effective against gods, but quantity still matters: early reserves are limited, a much larger mass of Origin Energy can purge it, and repeated defense can exhaust a cultivator. Su Chen's initial Golden Pill is partly counterfeit because it formed through external power, prompting him to reconstruct Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment beneath it. By the war with the gods, Su Chen has spread the new system and advanced beyond Golden Pill into higher stages. He uses immortal energy in conjunction with his existing Origin Skills and Method Power rather than abandoning either system, and its ability to devour divine power becomes the strategic core of humanity's victory. Centuries later he reaches Hollowness by reconciling Origin Energy and immortal energy and then reaches Tribulation-Crossing, withstanding heavenly lightning before entering a foreign realm. • Shi Kaihuang: Shi Kaihuang is Su Chen's instructor and the person who turns his private resistance to bloodline hierarchy into a disciplined, public research program. • Cloud Leopard: Cloud Leopard is one of Su Chen's closest Institute-era companions and repeatedly chooses to follow him into dangerous assignments. His instinctive perception and direct loyalty complement Su Chen's calculated style, and his warning before the Ravager expedition reflects a friendship that persists even when duty temporarily separates them. • Li Chongshan: Li Chongshan first becomes tied to Su Chen through the rescued Heavenly Might Battalion and later supplies the military discipline and administrative seriousness needed to turn the Boundless Sect into a lasting institution.
