Primordial Blood Medicine
The Primordial Blood Medicine, first called the Preliminary Primordial Blood Medicine, is Su Chen’s attempt to awaken a flexible, human-centered source of power without installing a conventional inherited beast bloodline.
History
Development and first trial
Su Chen develops the medicine after studying a new Origin Substance produced through compatible water-type bloodlines. Within thirty days he gains enough control to create a preliminary formula. “Primordial” refers to a pure, unmixed human bloodline rather than to an Origin Beast. (Chapter 429)
Iron Cliff volunteers as the first subject. Drinking the silver medicinal preparation causes intense pain as it reshapes his body, while Su Chen uses his microscopic eye and targeted intervention to guide the process and improve its efficiency. The successful trial leaves a dormant reservoir of vigor within Iron Cliff. (Chapter 429)
Refinement and research exchange
Su Chen continues improving the medicine, seeking large quantities of Seedless Black Lotus because it can activate bloodline power. He later uses the medicine himself and develops a Primordial Blood Incarnation, a Bloodline Afterimage grounded in latent human potential rather than a fixed beast ability. (Chapters 449 and 456)
Shi Kaihuang requests the recipe because he believes it may help complete bloodline-free advancement to the Light Shaking Realm. The medicine therefore becomes complementary to his cultivation research: Shi Kaihuang’s paths address advancement, while the medicine supplies combat potential to people without inherited bloodlines. (Chapters 447 and 475)
Later evidence shows that the result is not uniform. Both Su Chen and Iron Cliff use the medicine, yet Iron Cliff’s manifestation resembles Luo You while Su Chen’s becomes an enlarged human form. The source bloodline provides power and insight, but the user’s own nature influences the final expression. (Chapter 758)
Abilities and properties
- Bloodline-like power: Drinking the medicine creates a Bloodline Afterimage and grants abilities comparable to having a bloodline, without making the result a conventional inherited bloodline. (Chapters 429 and 456)
- No ascension lock: Unlike an implanted bloodline, the medicine does not itself grant higher-realm advancement, but it also does not restrict the user’s future path. A user can still take Blood Spirit Medicine or other compatible medicines. (Chapter 429)
- Flexible development: The preliminary result is described as a blank foundation with broad potential. Su Chen initially directs his incarnation toward raw energy storage, size, speed, and strength rather than specialized Origin Skills. (Chapter 456)
- User-dependent manifestation: The same medicine can produce different Primordial Blood Aspects in different people; the source material is a beginning rather than a fixed final form. (Chapter 758)
- Pain and material cost: Initial transformation causes severe physical suffering. Su Chen also states that his formula used Jiang Xishui’s blood as source material and would require at least a large quantity of Demonic Emperor bloodline material for comparable high-level production. (Chapters 429 and 644)
Ownership and custody
| Period | Holder or custodian | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Research and production | Su Chen | Invented, refined, administered, and personally consumed the medicine. |
| First test subject | Iron Cliff | Volunteered for the first trial and developed his own Primordial Blood Aspect. |
| Recipe recipient and research collaborator | Shi Kaihuang | Requested the formula for use in bloodline-free cultivation research; not identified as the medicine’s inventor. |
| Ongoing status | Su Chen’s research program | Individual doses are consumed on use; the corpus preserves the formula and its effects rather than identifying one permanent physical specimen. |
