Moon-Swallowing Heavenly Wolf Blade

The Moon-Swallowing Heavenly Wolf Blade, also called the Swallowing Heavenly Wolf Blade or Heavenly Wolf Blade, is a Grade Nine Origin Tool shaped from a wolf’s body. It projects an Origin Energy wolf soul that can attack repeatedly as long as the user continues supplying energy.

History

Wolf Blade’s weapon

The blade first belongs to the Halcyon Gorge fighter known as Wolf Blade. Its wolf-head hilt faces inward as though swallowing the moon, and the weapon is well known in the gorge. When Wolf Blade attacks Su Chen after being poisoned, he cannot supply Origin Energy and the tool becomes functionally inert. (Chapters 53–54)

Su Chen’s acquisition and early use

Su Chen defeats Wolf Blade and his companions, takes the weapon, and immediately tests its wolf soul against the surviving attackers. He keeps it despite an offer that implicitly tests whether he can be recruited, then pairs it with the Thunder Blade Origin Skill and his other early equipment. (Chapters 55–56)

The blade serves both as a close-combat weapon and as a conduit for its projected wolf. Su Chen uses it to block volleys of Origin Energy bullets from an Arcana remnant, and later combines the wolf soul with Thunder Blade against a Giant Adamantine Ape. It remains available years later, when he uses it to behead a Yang Opening cultivator after his other resources begin to run low. (Chapters 61, 201, and 458)

Later purchases, especially the Grade Six Mountain-Beheading Blade, supersede it in prominent combat scenes. The corpus does not state that the Heavenly Wolf Blade was sold, destroyed, or transferred, so its final disposition is unconfirmed beyond its status as part of Su Chen’s early arsenal.

Abilities and properties

  • Wolf-soul projection: Infusing the blade with Origin Energy manifests a wolf-shaped attack that can bite physical targets. Ordinary attacks pass through the projection because it is an Origin Skill rather than a corporeal animal. (Chapter 55)
  • Repeated attacks: The wolf soul can continue fighting while the wielder supplies Origin Energy, giving the weapon better endurance than a single-use technique. (Chapter 55)
  • Energy cost: Sustaining the projection consumes substantial Origin Energy. Without Origin Energy, the blade loses its special function and becomes an ordinary physical weapon. (Chapters 54–55)
  • Grade and tradeoff: It is a Grade Nine tool. Its raw strength is below the Grade Eight Black Streak Battle Blade, but it consumes Origin Energy rather than the user’s physical vitality, making the two useful at different points in an extended fight. (Chapter 55)
  • Conventional blade use: Su Chen can use the physical blade to block projectiles, channel Thunder Blade, or make direct cutting attacks independent of the projected wolf’s bite. (Chapters 61, 201, and 458)
