Gustav Oslov

Gustav Oslov, better known publicly as Gustav Crimson, is the central protagonist of The Bloodline System. Born with a bloodline dismissed as useless, he becomes host to the System, rises through the MBO, and eventually recovers his identity and authority as the Outworldly. His growth is driven as much by his refusal to be powerless again as by the bonds he forms, culminating in his defeat of the deities and restoration of the universe at a personal cost no power can reverse.

Biography

System awakening and Echelon Academy

Gustav begins as a neglected and relentlessly humiliated teenager whose Genetic Transformation bloodline appears able to do nothing except change his hair color. His parents transfer their hopes and affection to his gifted younger brother, Endric, while Gustav's dream of joining the MBO seems impossible. At the edge of a cliff, he announces his intention to end his life, but an object from the sky strikes the mountain and the System enters him. Its interface gives him daily tasks, levels, attributes, bloodline acquisition, and the first concrete route out of helplessness he has ever possessed. His first ambition is therefore blunt and defensive: acquire enough power that nobody can treat him as disposable again. (Chapters 1–14)

Gustav approaches the System as both weapon and puzzle. He completes harsh tasks, conceals the resulting changes, and learns to steal bloodlines after meeting the ability's conditions. His new power does not make him gentler: years of abuse have made retaliation feel like justice, and he deliberately injures tormentors, severs himself from his parents, and plans revenge against stronger classmates. Yet his choices also produce independence. He earns money, moves into his own apartment, protects his neighborhood from a Bloodwolf, and accepts work as its observer. Public gratitude unlocks the Charm attribute and exposes a capacity for responsibility that sits uneasily beside his coldness. (Chapters 7–56)

Miss Aimee recognizes that his apparent bloodline cannot explain his improvement and becomes the first adult to train and protect him without demanding submission. Gustav trusts her with part of the truth while hiding the System and his stolen bloodlines. Angy, initially an intrusive neighbor and schoolmate, persists through his hostility; he helps train her because her reluctance to hurt others could get her killed, while her concern challenges his habit of treating attachment as a weakness. Across school contests, kidnappings, duels, and covert trips inside the Mixedbreed boundary, Gustav refines shapeshifting, acquisition, Atomic Disintegration, God Eyes, Recreation, and combination tactics. He leaves Echelon no longer the powerless child everybody remembers, but a guarded, ambitious fighter determined to win an MBO place on his own terms. (Chapters 57–157)

MBO entrance trials and the Caskia Ruins

At the MBO entrance test, Gustav treats every phase as both competition and information problem. He withholds enough strength to protect his secrets, studies rules for exploitable openings, and repeatedly finishes ahead of candidates with far more celebrated bloodlines. His success draws worldwide attention and supervisory suspicion, while his willingness to leave weaker entrants behind reinforces his lone-wolf reputation. Angy's presence complicates that posture: he criticizes her indecision and sometimes distances himself, but he also tracks her safety and intervenes when danger exceeds what she can handle. The trials establish the pattern that defines his MBO career—calculation first, overwhelming force when calculation is no longer enough. (Chapters 158–228)

The Caskia Ruins turn an entrance examination into a survival conflict among candidates, alien creatures, and weakened prisoners. Gustav hunts stones and bloodlines, kills hostile inmates, buys and acquires alien capabilities, and repeatedly uses Recreation to recover from debilitating changes. When an imprisoned alter ego tries to claim him, he accepts a temporary bargain because survival requires cooperation, not because he trusts it. This pragmatic compromise matters: Gustav's determination is no longer simply to dominate classmates, but to keep moving through threats whose rules he does not yet understand. (Chapters 229–277)

The final phase also widens the mystery around him. The System speaks openly, recounts part of its journey, and foreshadows disasters tied to Gustav's future; the MBO confirms his exceptional potential and grants him special treatment. Miss Aimee's own history helps explain why her protection is fierce rather than sentimental, while the formal Mixedblood hierarchy shows Gustav how distant the summit remains. He returns home accepted as an MBO candidate, carrying a public identity—Gustav Crimson—that increasingly separates the feared rising star from Gustav Oslov, the abandoned son who began the journey. (Chapters 278–300)

MBO training and the brothers' death match

The System issues two five-year quests: find Dimension Six on the supposedly destroyed Planet Humbad and become Earth's strongest Mixedblood, with death as the penalty for failure. Their scale converts Gustav's hunger for advancement into a deadline governing his life. Before entering camp, he learns to produce and recharge Yarki, the force behind Cosmic Superiority, and accepts both public invitations and private relationships when they advance his goals. His date with Angy and growing attachment do not remove his distrust; instead, they create something he fears losing. Reaching Serial rank synchronizes his acquired bloodlines beneath Genetic Transformation, making that original bloodline the governing root of his expanding arsenal. (Chapters 301–359)

MBO camp subjects Gustav to sealed-power routines, combat rankings, intergalactic simulations, and institutional scrutiny. He accepts restrictions when they make him sharper, investigates sabotage instead of treating mishaps as accidents, and uses duels to test combinations rather than merely display strength. The other special-class cadets become more than competitors: E.E., Aildris, Falco, Ria, Elevora, and others form the peer circle he had never possessed. Gustav remains aloof, but shared danger and earned competence begin to matter to him more than pedigree. A formal bloodline-strengthening procedure raises him to Gilberk rank and confirms the extraordinary potential of Genetic Transformation. (Chapters 360–470)

His unresolved conflict with Endric nevertheless becomes the camp's defining crisis. Gustav initially accepts a certified death match because he believes killing his brother will end the threat and settle years of cruelty. During the fight he dismantles Endric's defenses, tortures him, and appears ready to finish the execution. The intervention that follows forces him to hear how Yung Jo manipulated and brutalized Endric. Gustav's choice to stop does not erase their mutual damage, but it replaces his simple image of a privileged tormentor with recognition of another abused child. That change is one of his first major retreats from revenge: he does not suddenly forgive, yet he allows Endric to live and opens the possibility of brotherhood. (Chapters 471–516)

Field missions and the Burning Sands crisis

Gustav's first major field assignment places him undercover in a war zone. He adopts Lucius's identity, studies factional command structures, acquires the Jiko Hakai Katana, and pursues Sahil even after the official operation appears to fail. His insubordination succeeds where procedure does not, but it also earns charges and reinforces his belief that results justify disobedience. As a squad leader he is demanding, manipulative, and willing to use enemies as shields, yet he plans around his subordinates' survival rather than treating them as expendable. The missions push him from gifted cadet to operational commander. (Chapters 517–650)

Burning Sands makes the conflict personal. Gustav enters the city to locate Boss Danzo, the employer and father figure who fed him, encouraged him, and offered a life beyond violence. He infiltrates criminal networks and underground matches, rescues Danzo, and tries to escape pursuers far beyond his formal rank. When Kilo-ranked attackers kill Danzo, grief destroys Gustav's restraint. He activates an extreme combined state, spends life force, devastates the city, and leaves an explosive weapon behind while fleeing. The boy who once used violence to reclaim dignity now demonstrates the danger of letting loss determine the scale of his retaliation. (Chapters 651–742)

The MBO response treats him as a fugitive and suppresses the circumstances of Danzo's death. Gustav steals classified data and escapes officers while his bloodlines and System are temporarily impaired. Miss Aimee arrives in open fury, confronts the institution, and protects him again at enormous political cost. Gustav leaves this crisis more powerful but further alienated from authority. He has learned that the MBO can be a home through his friends and mentor, yet can also preserve corruption and sacrifice inconvenient people. That contradiction shapes his later willingness to command MBO forces without trusting the organization itself. (Chapters 743–760)

Vertigon, Satori, and the Genxodus war

In the aftermath, Gustav experiments with Flesh Warping and pursues the truth behind the ashy infection while his friends search for him. Reuniting with Angy brings emotional and physical intimacy, but not uncomplicated stability: both carry fear, jealousy, and the knowledge that Gustav's quests keep pulling him toward danger. His return to camp reveals an enormous advance to Echo rank and an increasing association with the title “Outworldly.” When Miss Aimee disappears, he enters a deadly tower with E.E. and Aildris, claims Cohilia, and accepts the power of a living devourer whose motives he cannot fully trust because finding his mentor matters more than remaining untouched by dangerous forces. (Chapters 761–870)

The Vertigon mission tests Gustav as investigator and ally. He helps Stark Vertigon uncover a Satori conspiracy, uses disguise and See All to infiltrate hostile sites, acquires an Aqua Draconic bloodline, and fights a Beta-ranked cult leader despite being formally much weaker. Saving Stark and preserving the Vertigon succession show that Gustav's ruthlessness can serve people outside his own circle. At the same time, his instinct is still to solve political danger through clandestine surveillance, coercion, and targeted destruction rather than trust. (Chapters 871–920)

The ashy infection then expands into a planetary war engineered through Yung Jo's schemes and Genxodus. Gustav investigates, siphons memories, helps create a cure, takes command in Luchan City, and fights tens of thousands of infected beings. Against Gisodinym he refuses unconsciousness even after the battle appears lost; absorbing the entity's Cosmic Superiority advances him from Sub Parallel to Parallel Being. The victory saves Earth but confirms that his personal evolution and the planet's disasters are entangled. He emerges as a public savior, while the System's origins, Cohilia, and the Outworldly title all suggest that his power is part of a much older cosmic conflict. (Chapters 921–1021)

Cosmic missions and the Genxodus campaign

Gustav's next assignments carry him beyond Earth. He absorbs energy from spatial cracks, encounters evidence connected to Miss Aimee, and creates a planet while testing powers whose scale no ordinary Mixedblood could sustain. He also recruits his old camp circle for a Genxodus strike team. His leadership is based less on warmth than on confidence earned in previous crises: he selects people whose abilities complement one another, teaches counters, and expects them to act decisively. Angy's first kill during these operations marks a painful convergence between her gentler principles and the lethal world Gustav has always insisted they inhabit. (Chapters 1022–1074)

The campaign becomes a prolonged exercise in infiltration, identity work, and controlled slaughter. Gustav grinds through selection courses, reaches Kilo rank, penetrates Genxodus structures, and forces leaders into the open. When bloodline-dampening weapons threaten his team, he does not wait for institutional permission; he turns Aribia City into a trap for the organization. His methods horrify observers, but they also prevent Genxodus from freely escalating its attacks. Gustav's moral logic remains consistent: those who deliberately endanger his people forfeit the protection he might otherwise extend. (Chapters 1075–1135)

At the oasis, Gustav pushes through environmental pressure meant for stronger ranks and breaks into Delta rank. Endric, now an ally rather than an intended victim, witnesses the advancement and shares the wider burden of premonitions and planetary threats. Gustav's rise has made the original five-year goals plausible, but his reaction is not security. Premonitions of vast entities and bloodline-dampening technology convince him that strength is only useful if acquired before the next catastrophe. He leaves Earth for IYSOP carrying the team's expectations and the private fear that even his accelerating growth may be too slow. (Chapters 1136–1157)

The IYSOP tournament

As Earth's captain at the Intergalactic Youngsters Show of Power, Gustav must translate his solitary style into team strategy before a universal audience. He wins points through speed, planning, acquisition, and calculated risk, but also depends on teammates to protect objectives he cannot handle alone. His willingness to hijack portals and manipulate challenge rules repeatedly creates advantages, while his command during the Viondur Egg and survival events makes Earth competitive against species assumed to be superior. The tournament gives him fame on an intergalactic scale and makes every controversial decision visible. (Chapters 1158–1234)

The later contests deepen both his authority and his liabilities. He entrusts teammates with battles rather than claiming every victory, supports Endric's emergence, and faces opponents whose abilities challenge direct force. When Falco's dark counterpart appears and death intrudes into the games, Gustav's focus shifts from scoring to preserving his people. He uses universal-scale time manipulation and upgraded alien abilities, but those powers do not make every outcome controllable. The gap between what spectators call invincibility and what he privately cannot prevent continues to widen. (Chapters 1235–1300)

During the Medallion challenge Gustav dies, returns, declares himself the Outworldly, projects himself across the battlefield, and merges with hostile beings to overcome impossible numbers. He then checks the five-year quests and finds great progress but not completion; a later System display reporting Level 104 conflicts with the earlier Level 132 display, so it cannot safely be treated as a real regression. When the final crisis erupts, Gustav prioritizes evacuating and protecting his team over tournament glory. IYSOP ends with his identity magnified but his position destabilized: he is a champion and protector to Earth, while other powers increasingly see him as a threat to control. (Chapters 1301–1328)

Lost in deep space and blamed for destruction he did not cause, Gustav becomes a universal fugitive. He uses disguises, local alliances, and the Void Stepper to pursue the sacred items and the truth behind the Outworldly. On worlds ruled through fear, he overthrows tyrants and protects populations even when doing so strengthens the “planet destroyer” narrative used against him. His actions reveal a mature version of the anger that once drove him at school: he still rejects imposed hierarchy, but now directs that rejection toward rulers who make entire peoples powerless. (Chapters 1329–1365)

The System tells Gustav that he is becoming Unbound, entering a state in which truths surface without being taught. He refuses its claim that the premonitions cannot be prevented and continues seeking a way to defeat what is supposedly inevitable. At the Xelios Tower his Cosmic Superiority reaches Transdimensional level, and he travels with Endric and Sersi through territories where his name alone invites pursuit. Endric's presence makes their repaired bond practical rather than symbolic; the brothers share disguises, travel hazards, and responsibility for beings who trust Gustav to find a path through the coming disaster. (Chapters 1366–1399)

Gustav's attempt to expose the false narrative around him leads to battles with some of the strongest figures in the known world, abduction, custody, and a painful interrogation of his relationships. He returns to Earth only to be treated as both savior and criminal, then enters the Stagnant Siterus Void, calls Cohilia forth, rescues Falco, and confronts another premonition. The pursuit forces him to live as a fugitive while repeatedly performing the work of a protector. By the arc's end, he has moved a planet out of danger and won allies, but public institutions remain able to weaponize uncertainty about him. (Chapters 1400–1450)

The anomaly trial and Dimension Six

The unauthorized Gustavo Alliance turns Gustav's identity into a banner for violence, worsening the charges against him. He enters an anomaly that distorts chronology and narrative, develops the Three-in-One Golden Body, and confronts versions of events designed to separate him from responsibility for his own life. Rather than accept the role assigned to him—villain, symbol, or captive—he returns to Earth and submits to a public trial so the accusation can be defeated in the open. His friends and supporters expose the manipulation, and Gustav is acquitted, but the experience confirms that a name can become a weapon even when its owner refuses it. (Chapters 1451–1521)

Reunion with Angy offers a rare attempt at ordinary happiness. They speak about family, become engaged more fully with her parents, and consider having a child. Gustav completes the “strongest Mixedblood” five-year quest while still formally fourth-step Beta rank, demonstrating how far his System, bloodlines, Cosmic Superiority, and artifacts have placed him beyond the ordinary ladder. The rewards bring Level 210, a Transdimensional Being class, new bloodlines, and evolution cards; he evolves Bloodline Acquisition into Acquisition, extending it from bloodlines to alien and supernatural powers within range. Even in celebration, the unresolved Dimension Six quest keeps domestic peace temporary. (Chapters 1522–1532)

Gustav travels through the Warp Demolator to Planet Humbad and reunites with Miss Aimee before descending into Dimension Six. He obeys the warning not to channel power there because the realm's rules make strength itself hazardous. Reaching the place completes a journey begun hundreds of chapters earlier, but it does not provide a simple reward: Dimension Six reveals the lock, the deities, and a history in which the Outworldly exists to regulate powers that refuse restraint. The quest's answer therefore changes Gustav's goal from becoming strong enough to survive into deciding what kind of cosmic authority he will be. (Chapters 1533–1539)

The deity war and Outworldly endgame

Dimension Six shows Gustav histories of divine conflict, the creation of the Outworldly, and the recurring failure of powerful beings to respect mortal life. He seeks Miss Aimee across worlds, meets the Overseer, and learns that his own existence is bound to that older office. The revelation does not make him obedient. As he has done since Echelon, Gustav rejects authorities who insist suffering is unavoidable, even when those authorities are deities. He commits to protecting ordinary life and to recovering enough of his former self to enforce that decision. (Chapters 1540–1597)

Gustav gathers vestiges of Outworldly power, each fragment returning both strength and knowledge. At four percent he can fold dimensions; at seven percent his senses and reality manipulation already exceed most beings. His friends meanwhile infiltrate the Gustavo Alliance and protect the conditions for his restoration. The recovery is therefore not solitary achievement: Endric, Angy, E.E., Aildris, Falco, Sersi, Ria, and the others accept different risks because Gustav has become the point around which their resistance can cohere. Gustav reaches fifty percent but is overwhelmed when the Overseer and Nocturnis combine against him, and his recovering original body is destroyed. (Chapters 1598–1653)

His death unleashes divine tyranny. Angy's Universal Enlightenment bloodline can resonate with Gustav's essence, and she chooses to channel Outworldly power through herself to bring him back. Gustav returns at one hundred percent, erases the deities despite their collective war, and uses the Ancient Hourglass to restore the destroyed universe. His victory realizes the protective purpose of the Outworldly on a scale beyond any earlier MBO mission. It also depends on Angy sacrificing not only her life but her existence and that of their unborn child, leaving no soul, essence, or cosmic memory for Gustav to reconstruct. The strongest being in the universe can restore everyone except the person for whom restoration matters most. (Chapters 1654–1682)

Aftermath and an immortal exile

When Gustav tells his friends that Angy cannot return, their celebration collapses. Unable to receive comfort, he sends them to Earth and disappears before her funeral. He later visits her tomb in secret, leaves a rose and a note asking the others not to search for him, and chooses solitude over a world from which Angy has been erased. This is not abandonment born of indifference: he asks them to care for one another and live the life they fought to protect, because he knows he cannot yet share it. (Chapters 1683–1685)

Centuries of peace make Gustav a universal legend—the Outworldly, Eternal Protector, and god who saved existence—while his friends understand that the hero behind those titles remains alive and grieving. He watches E.E. and Elevora's wedding from a remote world and quietly wishes them happiness, showing that isolation has not severed his attachment. He still guards the restored universe, but from a distance that protects others from both his uncontrolled presence and his sorrow. (Chapters 1686–1687)

Gustav ultimately settles on a lifeless planet he created because ordinary worlds, including Earth, cannot withstand his presence for long. He is immortal, unchanged by centuries, and replays the last recording of Angy and their unborn child. Miss Aimee remains able to reach him and challenges his claim that endless remembrance is not self-punishment. Her visit briefly lets him speak instead of carrying grief alone, but the closing state is deliberately unresolved: Gustav has achieved absolute power and cosmic duty, yet must still decide whether eternity will be only a memorial or a life in which he reconnects with those he saved. (Chapter 1688)

Appearance and personality

As a teenager Gustav is short and physically underdeveloped, with dirty-blond hair whose changing color exposes his supposedly weak bloodline. System training rapidly makes him taller and more muscular. His mature public image is a roughly six-foot, toned fighter with short dirty-blond hair, an aloof gaze, and a preference for dark or red clothing; after the deity war his hair is long enough to brush his shoulders. Shapeshifting makes any single appearance strategically unreliable, since he can reproduce other people, species, skin tones, body proportions, and even inanimate forms. (Chapters 1, 52, 227, 889, and 1685–1688)

Gustav is analytical, observant, sarcastic, and relentlessly practical. He studies opponents and institutions for weaknesses, prefers preparation to improvisation, and regards hesitation in lethal danger as a liability. Years of contempt produce pride, secrecy, and a willingness to answer cruelty with disproportionate violence. He can torture, manipulate, and kill without the remorse Angy expects, especially when somebody threatens those he has accepted as his own. His moral center is consequently protective rather than merciful: he is often brutal to individuals while taking extraordinary risks for neighborhoods, cities, planets, and eventually the universe. (Chapters 11–14, 317, 471–507, 599–623, and 1675–1682)

Beneath the cold presentation, Gustav forms unusually durable attachments. Miss Aimee's faith earns lifelong loyalty; Boss Danzo's kindness makes his murder emotionally catastrophic; Angy's persistence becomes the love around which his hoped-for future is built; and his cadet peers become family. He struggles to express dependence and tends to withdraw when grief is greatest, but his decisions repeatedly show that companionship has replaced revenge as the deepest motive behind his pursuit of power. The epilogue makes the contrast explicit: a being able to restore a universe remains emotionally vulnerable to one lost person and still quietly watches over friends he cannot bring himself to visit. (Chapters 143–152, 491–515, 684–742, 798–801, and 1682–1688)

Bloodlines and abilities

Gustav's power is layered rather than drawn from a single hierarchy. He possesses System attributes and skills, many acquired bloodlines, a formally ranked Mixedblood foundation, Cosmic Superiority, alien abilities, sacred-item access, and finally restored Outworldly authority. These sources often reinforce one another, but they retain different mechanics and limits; a higher System level, for example, does not itself equal a particular Mixedblood rank.

The System and Bloodline Acquisition

The System enters Gustav after the falling object at the cliff and presents itself through attributes, levels, quests, rewards, skills, a shop, and bloodline functions. Daily tasks and combat rewards supply experience and attribute points, allowing physical growth even when he is not channeling a bloodline. Quests can impose severe penalties, including death, and the System frequently withholds information so that Gustav must discover mechanics himself. Its numeric class first resolves at Level 20 as Sub Parallel Being and later changes alongside his Cosmic Superiority, though System displays are not always reliable: Chapter 1312 reports Level 104 after Chapter 1211 explicitly reported Level 132. (Chapters 3–14, 184, 301, 1021, 1211, 1312, and 1527)

Bloodline Acquisition initially extracts only compatible D–F bloodlines after requirements such as contact with bloodline energy are satisfied; its reach expands as the skill develops. Extraction can remove a victim's bloodline, making the power ethically and tactically dangerous, and compatibility is analyzed before acceptance. Gustav uses Recreation to combine, rebuild, or exploit biological material, while the later evolved Acquisition can isolate particular abilities and steal bloodlines or core supernatural power from mixedbloods and aliens within a two-thousand-foot range. The evolution broadens access but does not make every stolen power automatically understood, inexhaustible, or superior to its source. (Chapters 3, 7, 25, 50, 78–82, 250, 900, and 1529)

Genetic Transformation and synchronized bloodlines

Genetic Transformation begins below F grade with hair-color manipulation. System rewards raise its grade and unlock skin changes, Shapeshifting, joint and size manipulation, Cognitive Concealment, Partial Mimicry, gene manipulation, and Flesh Warping. Shapeshifting reproduces another person's appearance closely enough for sustained infiltration; Cognitive Concealment hides bloodline information; Partial Mimicry permits temporary imitation of nonliving forms. Flesh Warping sends Genetic Transformation through a target's cells so Gustav can externally alter living tissue, but it requires contact, becomes harder against stronger cells, and drains the governing bloodline heavily. Specialized detection can also see through his disguises. (Chapters 14, 27, 52, 104, 146, 227, 357, 748, 768–769, and 889)

At Serial rank, the roots of Genetic Transformation spread through Gustav's body and connect to every acquired bloodline. The original bloodline becomes a governing base: channeling it improves the others and synchronizes their ranks, although the first synchronization raises some bloodlines while lowering another to the shared second-step Zulu state. This architecture lets Gustav combine transformations and energy types, but drawing heavily on the root can impair the entire network. Bloodline sealing, dampening technology, extreme combination forms, or severe injury can therefore disable many capabilities together rather than one at a time. (Chapters 355, 369, 441, 711–713, 737, 769, 950–961, and 1122–1124)

His acquired inventory includes Beast Transformation, Atomic Disintegration, Gravitational Charge, Energy Transmutation, speed and energy bloodlines, Aqua Draconic, Reincarnation, Crimson Matter, Primal Bond, Raw Assimilation, and many alien-derived forms. Atomic Disintegration and its blade applications erase material at contact or range but consume energy and can be resisted by sufficiently powerful structures. Beast and alien transformations trade flexibility for specialized bodies, resistances, movement, or elemental output. Primal Bond boosts allies according to the strength of their bond with Gustav, while Raw Assimilation merges him with nonliving matter. The breadth makes preparation and combination his signature advantage, but each ability retains its own conditions and he cannot always activate them under suppression or in realms such as Dimension Six. (Chapters 27, 104, 129–134, 240–244, 900, 959, 1527–1529, and 1539–1543)

Perception, God Eyes, and adaptive combat

God Eyes is unlocked as an emergency-quest reward after Gustav saves Angy. At its first level it provides zoom vision, darkness vision, and perception of life signs, which appear as colors, numbers, and unique symbols that can be stored and later tracked. As Gustav develops it, the ability supports long-range observation, biological analysis, targeting, and investigative work. It interacts naturally with his ordinary Perception attribute and See All, allowing him to compare energy, anatomy, identity, and environmental data before acting. Obstructions, unknown symbols, sophisticated concealment, and beings beyond his current perceptive scale can still limit what the information means even when he can see it. (Chapters 122, 207, 251, 643, 806, 891, and 1185)

Gustav's most dependable “ability” is his use of information. He learns martial methods from observation, creates feints around identity and terrain, and layers Dash, Sprint, transformations, Atomic Disintegration, weapons, and Yarki according to an opponent's defenses. The Jiko Hakai Katana gives him a destructive weapon during early missions, while Cohilia and later sacred artifacts expand his options at cosmic scale. He is not invulnerable: high consumption can exhaust him, combination forms have damaged his bloodline and cost life force, bloodline dampeners suppress access, and opponents who outscale a particular layer can force him to rely on another. (Chapters 30–33, 140, 240, 441, 565–568, 711–713, 740–742, 1002–1021, and 1122–1124)

Yarki and Cosmic Superiority

Yarki is the exerted force of Gustav's Cosmic Superiority. He first struggles to locate and recharge it; later he can impose his will, intimidate or immobilize weaker beings, and extend control across large areas. Its effectiveness depends on both available Yarki and the target's superiority: early in development it cannot affect Kilo-ranked Mixedbloods, while the Decimation state temporarily amplifies it enough to force stronger enemies down. This means Yarki is neither unlimited mind control nor a simple rank advantage. Resistance, greater superiority, depletion, and Gustav's own incomplete understanding all constrain it. (Chapters 236, 301–318, 568, 711–742, and 860)

Cosmic Superiority follows a separate formal class progression from Sub Parallel to Parallel and Transdimensional. Absorbing Gisodinym's superiority advances Gustav to Parallel Being; later exposure and development raise him to Transdimensional level. It permits authority over beings and phenomena beneath the applicable cosmic threshold and eventually supports planetary creation, dimensional travel, large-scale projection, and reality interaction. The class does not replace his bloodlines: he uses the two systems together, and a threat able to suppress bloodlines may still leave cosmic options—or vice versa. Before recovering his full identity, his knowledge and usable authority remain far below the theoretical scope of the Outworldly. (Chapters 184, 740, 1021, 1040, 1061, 1211, 1373, and 1527)

Three-in-One Golden Body and Unbound state

Becoming Unbound begins as a cognitive transformation: facts about ancient forces surface in Gustav's mind without ordinary instruction, and contact with sacred objects can reveal their operation. It is incomplete and intermittent, so it supplies clues rather than omniscience. Gustav still misjudges situations, depends on the System, and must test what he learns. The state is strategically important because it prepares him to wield artifacts and interpret the premonitions without accepting the System as the sole authority on his past. (Chapters 1366–1374)

The Three-in-One Golden Body is a rare structural state comparable in rarity to Cosmic Superiority. Gustav develops it in the anomaly and uses its golden astral form to project his consciousness across interstellar distance, reaching Earth from Planet Agon while remaining unseen. The form grants extraordinary perception and movement of consciousness, but maintaining it imposes severe strain and forces him to disconnect. Its demonstrated use is therefore a powerful scouting and presence technique, not unrestricted physical teleportation or permanent omnipresence. (Chapters 1487–1488)

Outworldly restoration and latest state

The Outworldly is not merely a title Gustav earns; Dimension Six reveals an older cosmic office created from divine and mortal essence to regulate deities and protect balance. Gustav is a reincarnated bearer whose original power was suppressed. Vestiges restore percentages of that power and unlock knowledge with each absorption. At four percent he folds dimensions and compresses light-years into accessible space; at seven percent he can manipulate dimensions, destroy fleets, and sense cosmic disturbances. Fifty percent overwhelms Nocturnis but proves insufficient against Nocturnis and the Overseer together, and Gustav's vulnerable original body is destroyed before recovery completes. (Chapters 1570–1578, 1606–1625, and 1651–1653)

Angy's Universal Enlightenment resonance resurrects Gustav at one hundred percent by sacrificing her own existence and their unborn child. Whole again, he erases deities conceptually, heals cosmic fractures through his presence, survives a war against the remaining divine host, and restores life, worlds, galaxies, and history with the Ancient Hourglass. Even this authority has limits with irreversible meaning: he cannot restore Angy because no body, soul, essence, spirit, or cosmic memory remains. His uncontrolled presence also makes inhabited planets unsafe for extended residence. At the latest endpoint he is an immortal Outworldly capable of universe-scale intervention, but he isolates himself on a purpose-built dead planet and exercises that power chiefly as a distant guardian. (Chapters 1665–1682 and 1686–1688)

System host Level 1041094The next coherent numeric panel confirms Level 104.
Delta rank1141Gustav breaks through in the oasis despite pressure normally requiring greater rank.
System host Level 132; Metamorphic Parallel Being1211Explicit panel confirms the new numeric and class state.
Unbound state1366Gustav begins receiving truths without instruction; the state remains incomplete and intermittent.
Beta rankBy 1372The corpus states he advanced from Delta to Beta within eight months; the exact breakthrough chapter is unshown.
Transdimensional Cosmic Superiority1373Gustav explicitly recognizes that his Cosmic Superiority has reached this formal level.
System host Level 199; Parallel Being1422A monthly-quest reward produces the next reliable level display.
Three-in-One Golden Body1488Gustav gains a rare astral state with interstellar projection, limited by severe strain.
System host Level 210; Transdimensional Being; fourth-step Beta1527Completing the strongest-Mixedblood quest confirms his last displayed level/class and current formal Mixedblood rank.
Acquisition evolution1529Bloodline Acquisition permanently evolves to extract isolated bloodlines and broader supernatural abilities within range.
Restored Outworldly power: 1%1606The first located vestige returns a confirmed fraction of Gustav's original power and knowledge.
Restored Outworldly power: 2%1608A later vestige raises the explicitly stated restored total and unlocks another Outworldly ability.
Restored Outworldly power: 4%1615The next confirmed total lets Gustav fold dimensions and compress light-years into accessible space.
Restored Outworldly power: 7%1624–1625Another vestige adds one percent; the following chapter explicitly states the new total.
Restored Outworldly power: 50%; interrupted recovery and death1651–1653Half power overwhelms Nocturnis alone, but combined enemies exploit and destroy Gustav's recovering original body.
Restored Outworldly power: 100%; resurrection1674–1675Angy's resonance restores Gustav wholly at the cost of her and their unborn child's existence.
Immortal universal restorer1681–1688He erases the deities and restores the universe, but his presence becomes unsafe for ordinary worlds and Angy remains beyond restoration.

Relationships

  • Angy: Angy's persistence turns a hostile neighborly acquaintance into Gustav's deepest romantic bond. She challenges his brutality, grows into a partner capable of sharing cosmic danger, and sacrifices her entire existence and their unborn child to resurrect him; her irreversible loss defines his immortal exile.
  • Endric Oslov: Gustav's younger brother begins as the favored child and a focus of murderous resentment. Their death match exposes Yung Jo's abuse of Endric, after which the brothers slowly become allies, share cosmic missions, and openly protect one another.
  • Miss Aimee: Miss Aimee is Gustav's mentor, protector, and earliest reliable adult. Her training shapes his combat philosophy, her interventions repeatedly shield him from institutions, and she remains one of the only people able to reach and comfort him centuries into his isolation.
  • The System: The System creates Gustav's route from powerlessness to transcendence while controlling information through quests, rewards, mockery, and strategic silence. Gustav depends on its functions but continually resists its attempts to define what is possible or what he should become.
  • Aildris: Aildris develops from cadet peer into confidant, teammate, and intimate companion. Their trust survives missions, separation, and the deity war; Aildris is among those who try to support Gustav after Angy's loss.
  • E.E.: E.E.'s humor and loyalty make him one of Gustav's closest friends. They fight as cadets, officers, and universal defenders, and Gustav secretly watches E.E.'s wedding despite refusing to end his exile.
  • Falco: Falco is both early school rival and long-term ally. Gustav risks the Stagnant Siterus Void to rescue him, while Falco later helps preserve Gustav's restoration and senses Gustav's brief return to Angy's grave.
  • Boss Danzo: Danzo gives Gustav food, work, practical affection, and an alternative future as a chef. His murder in Burning Sands triggers one of Gustav's most destructive losses of control.
  • Stark Vertigon: Gustav protects Stark through the Satori conspiracy and helps secure his family position. Stark later accompanies him in the Outworldly search and witnesses the Golden Body's development.

  • Cohilia: A living devourer and sacred treasure embedded in Gustav's left palm; its sentience and motives distinguish hosting it from ordinary ownership. (Chapters 868–870 and 1527)
  • Outworldly Sword: The last of the five sacred items recognizes Gustav as its former rightful master, but it is stolen before he can grasp it and the corpus does not show him taking final physical custody. (Chapters 1587–1595)
