Falco
Falco is an Earth Mixedblood and MBO officer whose bloodline connects him to the dark plane and its ruler, Nocturnis. He shares a body with Dark Falco, an alternate consciousness who can speak, choose, and seize control independently; black tattoos and marked changes in conduct usually identify that control. Falco's own story is therefore not reducible to the actions of his darker counterpart. He develops from a soft-hearted student afraid of what his body can do into a cosmic defender who accepts his lineage as power while rejecting the purpose Nocturnis designed him to serve. (Chapters 65–1687)
Biography
A gentle student and the violence within
Falco is introduced within the privileged school world surrounding the early conflicts at Echelon Academy, but his defining early action comes when Angy is brutalized in a tournament. He enters the ring and retaliates with ruthless precision. The absence of the black tattoos matters: the narration explicitly notes that Falco, not Dark Falco, is carrying out the assault, surprising adults who consider his normal personality too soft-hearted to harm anyone. The scene establishes that gentleness is Falco's choice, not incapacity, and that danger to a friend can drive his own agency toward violence. (Chapters 65, 117)
The same chapter reveals the history he fears. His awakened bloodline produced an uncontrollable alter ego whose power initially did not exceed Zulu rank but who killed two classmates during a middle-school takeover. Falco's wealthy family concealed the deaths, and Falco gradually learned enough control that forced possession became associated mainly with immediate danger. Black tattoos spreading over the shared body distinguish Dark Falco's possession from Falco's ordinary state. Their memories and consequences overlap through one body, but their intentions remain separate. (Chapter 117)
Cadet friendship and negotiated control
During the MBO entrance trials and camp, Dark Falco can still take over, manifest long black claws, scythe-like darkness, and lethal speed, and address Gustav as an opponent in his own right. Falco later lives with the aftermath of those encounters while building genuine friendships with Gustav Oslov, Aildris, and E.E. Shared meals and informal banter give him a social identity independent of both his family's status and the consciousness inside him. (Chapters 261–274, 416)
His ordinary manner remains nervous, humorous, and compassionate. He can ask an opponent to go easy on him, joke with E.E, and comfort Angy after she attacks Endric while ill. Yet his formal growth continues: by Chapter 434 he is peak Serial, and later missions make him a reliable member of the group even when he is not its strategist. Falco's development in this period is less about eliminating Dark Falco than about containing the takeover while refusing to make fear of it the center of every relationship. (Chapters 400, 434, 579, 635–648)
When institutional suspicion focuses on Gustav, Falco stays with the same circle that defends him. He reassures Gustav during Angy's delayed return and joins Aildris's month-long joint training proposal. These apparently small acts matter because Falco is repeatedly subject to involuntary internal pressure; choosing stable companionship gives him a community whose judgments are based on his decisions rather than on what Dark Falco might do. (Chapters 762–823, 1016)
Echo rank and the choice to remain himself
Cosmic training shows Dark Falco still speaking independently through the body, insulting an instructor after a defeat. The IYSOP selection then places the shared body at peak Falcon and shortly afterward at beginner Echo with A+ potential. During the analysis booth, the tattoos spread, Dark Falco laughs, and a massive shadow begins forming; Falco regains awareness and puts the alternate consciousness “on a leash” before the escalation completes. The result demonstrates improved control without implying that Dark Falco has ceased to exist. (Chapters 1024, 1068, 1087)
At the Bloodline Oasis, an armored being urges Falco to abandon his “weak” adopted personality, accept darkness, and become a sovereign. Falco repeatedly refuses any power that would change who he is. The Oasis still advances him to third-step Kilo and connects the group to predecessor potential, but rank does not settle the identity struggle. Falco treats strength as acceptable only if he remains the person choosing how it is used. (Chapters 1143–1144)
During IYSOP he serves the team through caution, combat, and practical observation rather than through Dark Falco's aggression alone. At the tournament's end, an unknown force pulls his body through the spacecraft toward the dark plane. Angy pursues him across debris and is taken with him, converting Falco's private bloodline problem into a dimensional crisis that separates both of them from their companions. (Chapters 1157–1218, 1328–1329)
The dark plane and a rejected destiny
Falco spends much of his captivity unconscious while his body transitions toward a full-fledged being of darkness. After his return, he explains that Nocturnis is the lord of the dark plane and his actual creator-father, distinct from the Earth father who raised him. He can command a pause from Amir, the ruler of one dark-plane realm, and move companions out before the realm closes around them. These are Falco's actions and knowledge after regaining consciousness; they should not be reassigned to Dark Falco merely because they involve darkness. (Chapters 1442–1447)
His origin is a cosmic instrument. Nocturnis made Falco so his existence would puncture the seal separating higher beings from the ordinary plane, while the premonitions sacrifice Ancient Executioner body parts to widen the breach. Falco tells Gustav that the fifth premonition will release the Overseer and give higher-plane beings a foothold. He then explicitly rejects the purpose of his birth, choosing the companions and world that taught him another path. Aildris's support helps turn that refusal from private resistance into a declared allegiance. (Chapters 1451–1452)
Falco immediately acts on that choice. Against the Third Premonition's colossal hand, he enters its darkness, spreads dark branches across affected regions, and summons the Ancient Executioner Estroel when his own scale proves insufficient. His inherited connection gives him knowledge and access unavailable to the others, but not equality with the beings of his father's realm. Courage lies in confronting a structure millions of miles across despite knowing his individual attack cannot stop it. (Chapter 1450)
Rescue work, Earth, and inherited power
Falco continues searching when Gustav disappears after the warp-demolator incident and fights beside Aildris and Endric against the Gustavo Alliance. His darkness forms weapons, fists, tendrils, and consuming fields, while his willingness to kill can outpace the team's need for prisoners. Aildris repeatedly redirects that aggression toward the mission. This is Falco's own late combat conduct unless the text marks a tattooed takeover or gives Dark Falco the dialogue; the shared body's darkness alone is not proof of a consciousness switch. (Chapters 1490–1507, 1617–1618)
Before Gustav enters Dimension Six, Falco chooses to return to Earth and reconnect with the father who raised him. The decision does not deny Nocturnis's biological or creative role; it asserts that lived family is part of Falco's identity even after cosmic lineage has been revealed. Like his refusal at the Oasis, it favors a chosen self over the sovereign identity others expect him to inhabit. (Chapters 1539–1540)
When the deity war begins, Falco's lineage reacts instinctively to the cosmic tear. He protects Angy, E.E, and Aildris for days while an Ancient Executioner hunts them on Nocturnis's orders, maintaining dark barriers until his voice and body fail. At the point of defeat, he uses an inherited displacement trick to remove the group from the killing blow. The escape demonstrates useful access to Nocturnis's methods, but Falco openly admits that he cannot defeat or even injure an Ancient Executioner. (Chapters 1647–1659)
Deity concealment and the restored world
During the effort to restore Gustav, Falco leads a team through deity-controlled space. His deity senses detect a Rank Four Arbiter before ordinary instruments can save them, and his inherited Voidborn Misting collapses the signatures of the stealth skiff and everyone aboard. The Arbiter looks directly across them without finding the residue. The concealment nearly kills Falco—he bleeds from his nose, ears, and eyes and collapses unconscious—showing that access to a divine technique does not give his Kilo-ranked body divine endurance. (Chapters 1667–1668)
Falco later anchors companions with shadow chains through unstable non-space and helps recover Gustav's scattered essence. After the restoration, he approaches Gustav when the group notices his grief, then tries to stop him from leaving once Angy's erasure is understood. Falco is present at the grave and survives into E.E and Elevora's wedding, where his tears mark how openly the once-frightened student now values the life and companions he chose. (Chapters 1667–1687)
Appearance and personality
Falco is a dark-haired young man whose ordinary appearance changes dramatically when dark power rises. During a marked Dark Falco takeover, black tattoos spread over the shared body, the eyes can become pitch black, the fingernails lengthen into claws, and dark mist gathers around him. Later deity-lineage strain leaves silver cracks across his body. These physical signs help with attribution but are not perfect shorthand for every use of darkness: Falco can deliberately wield dark constructs in his own state, while Chapter 117 specifically confirms his tattoo-free brutality as his own action. (Chapters 117, 261–274, 1087, 1668)
Falco's baseline personality is soft-hearted, sociable, nervous under pressure, and prone to humor. He comforts Angy, accepts teasing, and values the ordinary family life his cosmic origin threatens to displace. He is also capable of anger, lethal force, and grim persistence when friends are threatened. His central moral trait is resistance to imposed identity: he refuses the armored being's demand to become a dark sovereign, restrains Dark Falco when possession surges, and later opposes Nocturnis's plan even after learning that his own existence was designed to enable it. (Chapters 117, 400, 579, 648, 1087, 1143, 1452)
Bloodlines and abilities
Shared body and alternate consciousness
Falco's awakened bloodline produced Dark Falco, an independently acting alternate consciousness with an opposite temperament. Dark Falco can force possession when the body is endangered, speak to other people, remember prior confrontations, and pursue lethal goals Falco would not choose. Black tattoos are the clearest recurring possession marker. Falco can resist, suppress, or regain control, but the corpus never establishes that he permanently integrates or erases the other consciousness. (Chapters 117, 261–274, 1024, 1087)
Because they occupy one vessel, formal Mixedblood ranks, bodily injuries, and many bloodline transformations apply to the same physical continuity. Agency does not. A rank increase in Falco's article describes the shared body's capacity, not proof that every feat belongs to Falco's mind; conversely, the mere appearance of a dark weapon does not prove Dark Falco is controlling the body. Attribution depends on tattoos, explicit dialogue, and narrative identification. (Chapters 117, 1087, 1143–1144)
Darkness manifestation and combat constructs
The shared dark bloodline produces claws, scythe-like arcs, blades, fists, tentacles, branches, barriers, and large shadow figures. Falco can wrap himself in dark matter, consume an opponent's darkness, restrain or tear targets apart with tendrils, and use shadow pressure to control space around allies. These manifestations support close combat, crowd control, protection, and pursuit. Their form is flexible, but their strength still depends on the vessel's rank and available dark essence. (Chapters 261–274, 1087, 1450, 1490–1491, 1617–1618)
Dark constructs can absorb enormous attacks only up to their durability. A cosmic strike shatters Falco's exhausted barrier immediately, and an Ancient Executioner remains beyond his ability to damage. Electrical power that phases through physical restraint can also bypass a dark-matter block. The bloodline is therefore versatile matter and energy manipulation, not automatic immunity to attacks categorized as darkness or to beings connected with Nocturnis. (Chapters 1491, 1659)
Dark-plane heritage and traversal
Nocturnis created Falco as a bridge between planes, giving his existence a natural relationship with the seal around the dark plane. During captivity he begins transitioning into a full being of darkness, learns the plane's hierarchy, and gains enough authority to make Amir pause while he extracts companions. He can perceive dark-plane entities, enter or move through their medium, and later recognize the Ancient Executioners and the rituals built from their body parts. These abilities originate in heritage and forced transition, not from Dark Falco replacing him. (Chapters 1328–1329, 1442–1452)
Falco rejects the cosmological function for which the heritage was designed. That refusal limits how much power he is willing to accept when acceptance threatens his personality, but it also becomes a source of control: he uses lineage knowledge against Nocturnis's plan, calls Estroel during the Third Premonition, and chooses when inherited tricks serve his friends. He is still vastly weaker than Nocturnis and the Ancient Executioners, and his command within the dark plane is contextual rather than sovereignty over all its realms. (Chapters 1143, 1447, 1450–1452, 1659)
Deity senses, displacement, and Voidborn Misting
Late in the war, Falco's deity lineage reacts instinctively to divine presence. He senses an Arbiter deity before it fully materializes and identifies its rank, while an inherited displacement method removes four exhausted companions from an execution strike. The corpus presents these as Nocturnis-derived tricks that Falco can access under extreme pressure, not as evidence that his permanent Mixedblood rank has become divine. (Chapters 1647–1659, 1668)
Voidborn Misting spreads Falco's signature over a spacecraft and collapses the detectable presence of the vessel and its occupants. It hides Outworldly residue from a Rank Four Arbiter at near-contact range, making it one of his most important support techniques. Sustaining it overwhelms his mortal body: blood pours from multiple sensory organs, concentration cannot lapse, and he falls unconscious as soon as the danger passes. Its best application is brief concealment and escape, not prolonged combat. (Chapter 1668)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Zulu-limited dark alter state | 117 (revealed) | Falco's childhood alter ego is said not to surpass Zulu rank; this is a historical cap on the shared body's dangerous state, not a precise current assessment. |
| Peak Serial | 434 | Falco explicitly states that he remains at peak Serial rank. |
| Peak Falcon | 1068 | The IYSOP selection identifies Falco among the teammates still at peak Falcon; the intervening Gilberk and Martial stages occur off-page. |
| Beginner Echo | 1087 | The analysis booth records beginner Echo rank for the shared body. |
| A+ bloodline potential | 1087 | The booth records A+ potential, improved from an earlier A assessment recalled in the same chapter; potential is not an attained grade. |
| Third-step Kilo; predecessor access | 1144 | The Bloodline Oasis advances Falco to third-step Kilo and connects the group to predecessor potential; the intervening Echo and Kilo steps are compressed. |
| Dark-plane heritage transition | 1447–1452 | Falco returns after transitioning toward a full being of darkness, learns his Nocturnis-created purpose, and chooses to oppose it; this is structural heritage access, not a new Mixedblood rank. |
| Active deity-lineage techniques | 1659–1668 | Falco uses inherited displacement, deity sensing, and Voidborn Misting under extreme pressure; these techniques do not establish a formal rank above third-step Kilo. |
Relationships
- Dark Falco: Dark Falco is an alternate consciousness sharing Falco's body, not a nickname for Falco in an aggressive mood. He can seize control, speak, remember, and choose independently. Falco learns to restrain him, but their shared body means each must live with injuries, rank changes, and consequences produced by the other. (Chapters 117–1087)
- Gustav Oslov: Gustav becomes Falco's friend, teammate, and the center of the circle in which Falco is judged by chosen conduct rather than feared lineage. Falco later reveals Nocturnis's plan to him, searches after his disappearance, protects the effort to restore him, and tries to stop him from leaving after Angy's sacrifice. (Chapters 261–1685)
- Angy: Falco avenges Angy at school, comforts her during later illness, and is followed by her when the dark plane pulls him away. Her captivity is a consequence of trying to save him, and their altered states remain linked to the same plane until both return. Falco later shields her through the deity war and helps make possible the mission that ends in her self-erasure. (Chapters 117, 635–648, 1328–1500, 1659–1685)
- Aildris: Aildris is Falco's long-term teammate and one of the people who most clearly supports his chosen identity. He questions Falco's relationship with Nocturnis, affirms his refusal of the destiny imposed on him, and moderates Falco's lethal impulses during later operations. (Chapters 416–1687)
- E.E: E.E shares Falco's cadet banter, combat deployments, and final essence-retrieval missions. Their humor provides ordinary companionship amid Falco's identity conflict, while E.E later trusts Falco's deity senses and follows his concealment instructions under an Arbiter's gaze. (Chapters 416–1668)
- Nocturnis: Nocturnis is Falco's creator and dark-plane father, who engineered his existence to breach a cosmic seal. Falco inherits knowledge, shadow techniques, and deity traits from him but rejects his intended role and protects the friends Nocturnis wants removed or forced from his side. (Chapters 1447–1668)
Items
No individually identified notable item in the generated item catalog is consistently owned or uniquely used by Falco. He uses ordinary MBO gear, spacecraft, and mission equipment, but his defining combat and concealment capabilities arise from the shared dark bloodline and Nocturnis lineage rather than a named artifact. (Chapters 1024–1668)
