Ulovonturian Gem

The Ulovonturian Gem is the evolution-stage-five core left when Gustav kills an Ulovonturian Silhouette. It remains unused in storage for hundreds of chapters before the sentient Sacred Jewel consumes it and permanently adds Ulovonturian-related capabilities to its repertoire.

History

Core of the Silhouette

After Gustav kills the Silhouette in the underground prison, its body disintegrates into smoke and leaves a small round stone. The System identifies the stone as an Ulovonturian Gem: the core of an alien species that evolves by feeding on powered beings. Its recorded evolution stage is five. Gustav cannot extract the Silhouette's bloodline or determine a direct use for the core, so he places it in storage. (Chapter 258)

Consumed by the Sacred Jewel

The core remains with Gustav until the Sacred Jewel emerges from storage and communicates hunger. With Gustav's permission, the Jewel pulls the black stone apart into smoke and absorbs it. The Jewel's inner light grows, and it immediately demonstrates shadow and darkness manipulation. (Chapter 846)

Gustav later confirms that the consumed core gave SJ capabilities related to the Ulovonturians, including effects beyond what the original Stage Five Silhouette had demonstrated. The physical gem no longer exists separately after consumption, but its narrative importance persists through that inherited ability set. (Chapter 853)
