About the novel
The Beginning After the End follows King Grey after he is reborn as Arthur Leywin in the continent of Dicathen. Retaining the memories and discipline of a solitary ruler, Arthur experiences childhood, parents, friendship, and dependence for the first time. His extraordinary mana development and bond with the dragon Sylvie give him power early, but his central transformation comes from valuing a family and world that he can no longer treat as temporary.
School life, adventuring, and asuran training give way to war among Dicathen, Alacrya, and the asuras who manipulate both. Reincarnation connects Arthur to Agrona's plans and to other lives drawn from his former world. After loss changes his body and access to power, he must understand aether and Fate well enough to challenge ancient authorities without reproducing the isolation that defined King Grey.
World and mana
Mages form mana cores and progress through color stages while specializing in elemental affinities, augmentation, or conjuring. Beast wills and bonds can grant additional abilities, and asuran races possess bodies and mana arts beyond ordinary lessers. Academies, adventurer guilds, noble houses, and military institutions organize access to training and authority across Dicathen.
Aether underlies space, time, existence, and fate but cannot be used like ordinary mana. Arthur's altered body, aether core, godrunes, and Djinn keystones require insight and repeated application rather than conventional elemental refinement. The contrast between mana and aether reflects the wider political divide: the asuras' immense inherited power does not guarantee understanding of the deeper laws or moral right to govern lessers.
