Relic armor

History

Arthur claims an oversized relic garment that responds to aether and reshapes around him. It becomes a fitted suit of liquid-black scales with gold seams and hornlike head protection, then accompanies him through the Victoriad, the Taci battle, Wraith engagements, and the conflicts with Agrona and Kezess. Its appearance later adds white bone-like plates as it continues to adapt. (Chapters 364–379, 387–405, 425–489, and 501–535)

Properties and use

The armor manifests and dismisses along an aetheric tether, draws nearby aether, and resists attacks that would penetrate ordinary equipment. It can change shape for another wearer and temporarily forms around Sylvie, Eleanor, and Tessia under unusual circumstances, showing agency or adaptive judgment without establishing ordinary transferable ownership. It can still be pierced, corroded, disrupted, or exhausted by sufficiently strong attacks. (Chapters 366–367, 387–405, 443–451, 489, 508, and 526–535)
