Phoenix Wyrm pendants — The Beginning After the End

History

Gideon trades the two matching pink pendants to Arthur, who gives them to his mother and sister. Alice and Eleanor bind and wear the paired artifacts. During the destruction of Elenoir, Eleanor's pendant shields her and transports her, apparently carrying Boo with her, before its jewel cracks and loses its mana. (Chapters 42, 45, 82, and 332–333)

Properties and use

Each pendant incorporates a Phoenix Wyrm core and scale fragments. Gideon explains that it imitates the beast's life-preserving defense: a cocoon-like barrier forms around the wearer, and catastrophic damage triggers transport to a place understood as safe. He estimates rather than guarantees multiple uses. Only Eleanor's activation is demonstrated, so Alice's matching pendant cannot be credited with the same completed feat.
