Aether Orb

History

Windsom brings Arthur to the Aether Orb so Kordri can compress intensive combat instruction into the limited time before the war. Inside its training environment, Arthur repeatedly fights Kordri, dies, resets, and learns to rebuild his movement and perception from fundamentals rather than rely on weapons or broad elemental power. (Chapters 110–123)

Properties and use

The orb creates projected training bodies and accelerates subjective experience relative to time outside. Fatal injury ends a training iteration without killing the physical participants, allowing severe drills to be repeated. The experience is mentally and physically demanding despite the resets, and skills must still be understood and practiced; the orb does not simply grant techniques or remove Arthur's human limitations. (Chapters 110–126)
