About the novel

Seoul Station's Necromancer follows Kang Woojin after he returns to Earth from Alphen, where he spent twenty years becoming the necromancer known as Immortal. Only five years have passed in Seoul, and the city he remembers now contains dungeon entrances and Awakened hunters. Woojin returns without the levels and sealed followers he accumulated, forcing him to rebuild while reconnecting with a family that experienced his absence very differently.

What begins as dungeon work becomes the creation of Alandal, a territory and organization able to respond to threats ordinary guilds and governments cannot contain. Woojin's history on Alphen connects Earth's dungeon crisis to Trahnet and a war among dimensional rulers. His decisions repeatedly test whether Earth will become another expendable battlefield or a home whose people can survive the systems imposed upon it.

World and classes

Awakened people enter dungeons, gain levels, develop abilities, and are ranked according to practical power. Guilds control access to raids and resources, while dungeon breaks make failed expeditions a public danger. Woojin's dual development as a warrior and necromancer lets him fight directly while rebuilding the Immortal Army from defeated enemies and recovered followers.

Earth and Alphen exist within a larger dimensional structure governed by lords, colonies, and systems that can reset or consume worlds. Holy Items, domains, summoned forces, and lordship authority expand power beyond conventional hunter ranks. Advancement therefore becomes political as well as personal: possessing the strength to claim a domain also makes its population and survival part of the claimant's responsibility.
