Regeneration Salve

Regeneration Salve is a rare restorative medicine carried and applied by Kang Woojin. It repairs acquired bodily damage over time, ranging from scars and hair loss to severe combat wounds, but its demonstrated effects are not instantaneous.

History and role

Medicine sought for Do Jiwon

Do Jaemin first names the salve while explaining why he hopes to join one of Korea's great guilds: it cannot ordinarily be bought with money and is awarded for distinguished contributions, and he wants it for his scarred sister, Do Jiwon. Woojin understands the unspoken request and opens his Achievement Shop, although the text does not directly narrate the salve's purchase. By the following chapter, he carries a bottle and presents its treatment to Jiwon as a gift. (Chapters 26–27)

Woojin pours the medicine into his hand, spreads it over Jiwon's facial scar and scalp, and watches it sink into the treated area. The next day her scar is already less swollen; after prolonged sleep, the scar disappears, the skin becomes smooth, and hair regrows over the damaged scalp. Woojin remains the person who holds and applies the bottle, so the treatment does not establish a transfer of the remaining salve to Jiwon. (Chapters 27–28)

Treatment of battlefield wounds

Woojin later uses the salve on himself after receiving a deep facial cut, expecting the scar to disappear after a night's rest. After more extensive injuries he applies a large quantity to his face and body, yet recovery is still underway and is expected to take another couple of days. These uses show that healing time varies with the damage and that applying more salve does not make serious injuries vanish immediately. (Chapters 29 and 33)

Abilities and properties

• Tissue restoration: Applied salve sinks into the injured area and can remove established scarring, restore smooth skin, and regrow hair over a damaged scalp. (Chapters 27–28)
• Severe regeneration: The narration states that the medicine can regenerate a missing body part, but no such restoration is directly performed with the salve in the supplied corpus. (Chapter 30)
• Delayed recovery: A facial cut is expected to heal overnight, while extensive wounds continue recovering for days despite heavy application. The corpus does not specify dosage rules, side effects, or a universal healing time. (Chapters 29 and 33)
