Xia Yuanba

Xia Yuanba is Xia Qingyue’s younger brother, Yun Che’s childhood companion, and the bearer of the Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins. He begins as an unusually large but gentle youth whose cultivation barely advances, then awakens a physique that turns grief, determination, and the need to protect others into explosive growth. Even after becoming Saint Emperor of Absolute Monarch Sanctuary, he remains most defined by his uncomplicated loyalty to Yun Che and by his eventual decision to pursue the divine way through his own effort.

Biography

Floating Cloud bonds and the profound palaces

Yuanba grows up in Floating Cloud City as the son of Xia Hongyi and the younger brother of Xia Qingyue. Yun Che is not merely the man promised to his sister: he is Yuanba’s closest playmate, the person he calls brother-in-law long before either understands the wider consequences of the marriage arrangement. Yuanba leaves home for New Moon Profound Palace after Qingyue enters Frozen Cloud Asgard. Although his enormous frame makes him look formidable, he has only fourth-level Elementary Profound cultivation before leaving and reaches the sixth level after six months. His lack of status and strength exposes him to contempt, but he remains openhearted, proudly brings Yun Che into the palace, and worries more about Yun Che’s safety than his own humiliation. When Yun Che moves to Blue Wind Profound Palace, Yuanba follows with the help of Qin Wuyou and accepts a place in the Outer Palace. His progress is painfully slow: eight months of better instruction and resources bring him only from the sixth to the seventh level of the Elementary Profound Realm. That weakness does not make him resent Yun Che’s rise. He celebrates every victory at the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament as if it were his own and is proud that both Yun Che and Qingyue reach its final stages. His dependence instead becomes a source of shame whenever Yun Che must defend him, because he believes that family should be something he can protect in return. The decisive break comes at Heavenly Sword Villa. When Ling Kun’s actions leave Yuanba before the sealed demon beneath the Sword Management Terrace, Yun Che exchanges his own chance to escape for Yuanba’s life. Yuanba believes that his weakness has killed the person closest to him. His grief becomes self-hatred, then a fixed determination never to remain a burden: he leaves without money or a destination, promising Qingyue that he will live because Yun Che paid for that life and that he will return strong enough to protect their family. This is the emotional pressure that begins awakening the divine veins previously thought unusable. (Chapters 278–280)

Awakening and Absolute Monarch Sanctuary

Yuanba crosses the Profound Sky Continent alone, seeking danger because ordinary cultivation no longer seems sufficient. Profound beasts, bandits, hunger, and repeated near-death battles trigger unfamiliar power within him; each recovery leaves his profound strength greater. After another defeat outside Divine Phoenix City, Spiritual Master Ancient Blue finds him, identifies the Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins, and takes him to Absolute Monarch Sanctuary. Yuanba spends the next two years training with an almost self-destructive hunger for strength. The gentleness he shows family survives, but his bearing toward enemies changes into the firmness and pressure of an emperor. (Chapters 444–445 and 452)

He returns during the Seven Nation Ranking Tournament as a mid-stage Overlord and forces his way into the Phoenix Realm when he sees Yun Che alive. Their reunion releases two years of grief, and Yun Che’s survival restores the cheerful side that Yuanba had buried. His new authority nevertheless has practical consequences: as Ancient Blue’s direct disciple and the Sacred Ground’s unprecedented young Overlord, his presence restrains the Divine Phoenix Sect from treating Yun Che as an isolated lower-realm challenger. Yuanba later enters the Primordial Profound Ark with Yun Che and Feng Xue’er. When Ye Xinghan and Feng Feiyan attack, he uses his body and strength to hold them back so that Yun Che and Xue’er can escape, repeating Yun Che’s earlier willingness to risk himself for family without regretting the cost. Three years of secluded cultivation carry Yuanba into the Sovereign Profound Realm. He returns to the invaded Blue Wind Empire at the sixth level and annihilates a Divine Phoenix army in rage at what the war has done to his homeland. He listens when Yun Che warns that acting as Absolute Monarch Sanctuary’s representative could widen the conflict and endanger Qingyue, showing that the awakened veins have made him forceful rather than incapable of restraint. He later accompanies Ancient Blue to Supreme Ocean Palace, helps investigate the Moon Slaughter Devil Nest, and remains beside Feng Xue’er when Yun Che is trapped inside. His divine veins blunt part of the nest’s suppression, while his faith that Yun Che will return keeps his fear from becoming despair. (Chapters 649, 663–669, 731, and 767–794)

Sacred Ground crisis and the Saint Emperor’s burden

At the Devil Sword Conference, Yuanba openly refuses to assist a project he distrusts and stays outside the formation to shield Yun Che. A recent breakthrough has placed his strength in the later stages of the Sovereign Profound Realm, enough to drive back a seventh-level Monarch with one punch. When Xuanyuan Wentian exposes Yun Che’s Illusory Demon Realm parentage, Yuanba refuses every warning to distance himself and tries to stand between his brother and the assembled Sacred Grounds. Yun Che must order him away by arguing that someone must remain free to rescue him. Yuanba’s loyalty is no longer the helpless attachment of his youth, but it can still be used against him because he considers abandoning family worse than death. (Chapters 797–811)

Xuanyuan Wentian’s later ascent exposes the corruption within the institutions Yuanba trusted. Absolute Monarch Sanctuary participates in the attempt to seize Yun Che’s treasures, while Ancient Blue remains the teacher Yuanba loves and tries to protect. Yuanba survives pursuit, returns grievously wounded, and still produces enough power to save Ancient Blue from a fatal strike. After Yun Che defeats Wentian, Huangji Wuyu acknowledges the Sanctuary’s wrongdoing and passes the Primal Chaos Heavenly Ruler and Saint Emperor Seal to Yuanba. Yuanba accepts reluctantly, aware that age and experience have not prepared him to rule, but chooses responsibility over letting the Sacred Ground collapse. He protects its surviving members, directs its part in rebuilding the continental formations, and tries to turn the office toward the standards of loyalty and justice he expected from it. Lower-realm guardian and the divine threshold

As Saint Emperor, Yuanba becomes one of the central powers of the Profound Sky Continent without adopting the aloofness associated with the title. He remains visibly emotional around Yun Che, accepts instructions when matters exceed his experience, and keeps searching for news of Qingyue. The Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins continue to reshape his judgment: he grows more observant and recognizes that Yun Che has met his sister because the usual search for her suddenly stops. His concern is not for her status but whether she has suffered and why she cannot come home. (Chapters 930, 1373–1374, and 1500)

The Divine Water of Life Yun Che brings from the God Realm raises Yuanba through the mortal boundary to the first level of the Divine Origin Realm. The advance makes him the strongest profound practitioner then living openly on the Profound Sky Continent and gives him barely enough power to cross interplanetary space, but Yun Che warns that it is only the beginning of the divine way. Yuanba agrees to stabilize the new realm before attempting to find Qingyue. His position therefore combines extraordinary lower-realm authority with a clear limitation: outside Blue Pole Star, even his awakened veins do not substitute for experience, navigation, or the many realms of divine cultivation above him. Blue Pole Star’s concealment and reunion

When Blue Pole Star is secretly moved and concealed, Yuanba lives through the five years Yun Che believes the planet destroyed. He helps keep Yun Wuxin from entering the God Realm alone, then leaves four months before their reunion because he promised to search for her father. Spatial turbulence, wrong directions, and dead planets turn the journey into a long ordeal, but he reaches the Southern Divine Region without outside guidance. Meeting Yun Che in the Seven Star Realm gives the latter the first living contradiction to the false destruction. Yuanba’s account of Blue Pole Star’s location, Wuxin’s age, and the family’s survival helps break the revenge-built reality Yun Che has accepted. (Chapters 1814–1816)

The reunion also forces Yuanba to confront Qingyue’s public legacy. He learns that his sister became Moon God Emperor, opposed Yun Che, and is believed dead; the knowledge nearly overwhelms even the steadiness produced by his divine veins. He asks Yun Che for the truth rather than accepting the God Realm’s verdict. Yun Che cannot reveal every sacrifice, but makes clear that Qingyue left him a debt rather than hatred. This assurance relieves Yuanba of the guilt that his family might have caused Yun Che’s suffering. He resolves to return to the God Realm after settling his duties in Absolute Monarch Sanctuary, accepting that remaining forever in the lower realm would betray both his nature and the power he was given. The stolen possibility and an independent path

Later revelations explain why Yuanba’s physique always carried more potential than his early life appeared to allow. Before the altered history surrounding Xia Qingyue took form, primordial energy in Floating Cloud City had begun fusing with him and could have produced a never-before-seen Divine Body of Great Rage. The Ancestral Will removed most of that energy to form the person who became Qingyue, leaving one tenth within Yuanba and rewriting the world’s memories around the new family. Yuanba’s Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins also inherit the miraculous potential of his mother Yue Wugou’s Divine Stainless Body. He does not receive the full explanation, but his existence and lost possibility become inseparable from Qingyue’s fate. (Chapters 1929–1930)

Yuanba enters the Nine Faces Realm without announcing his connection to Emperor Yun and begins again as an ordinary candidate. By the sixth level of the Divine Origin Realm, he can exhaust and defeat an eighth-level opponent through endurance, recovery, and relentless pressure. The realm king recognizes the Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins and selects him directly, but Yuanba values the result because it comes from his own battle rather than Yun Che’s patronage. He refuses an easy place in a king realm and initially refuses even a World Jade, declaring that an insufficient fate should be his own to bear. Yun Che makes him accept the safeguard but respects the larger choice. In his latest state, Yuanba is alive, close to the Divine Origin Realm’s seventh level, and pursuing a new divine path on his own name while retaining the right to call Yun Che brother-in-law. Appearance and personality

Yuanba is enormous from childhood. At fifteen he stands close to two meters and thirty centimeters tall, weighs more than one hundred seventy-five kilograms, and has shoulders, limbs, and muscles large enough to make older youths mistake him for an adult. After the divine veins awaken, he grows another fifteen centimeters, his muscles take on a metallic hardness, and his eyes and brow lose their former frailty. Entry into the divine way later makes him somewhat less bulky without making him small; his features become firmer, and the golden light of the Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins can shine visibly from his chest. His most persistent traits are sincerity and loyalty. Yuanba cries openly, trusts Yun Che almost without reservation, and takes more pride in his family’s achievements than his own. Early ridicule makes him self-conscious but not bitter. The veins’ awakening adds pride, courage, a desire for challenge, and a more commanding temperament; it does not erase his warmth. He can threaten enemies with an emperor’s pressure and then become awkward or exuberant the moment he sees someone he loves. With maturity he also becomes less dependent on Yun Che’s decisions, eventually insisting on earning his own standing in the God Realm even when effortless advancement is available. Abilities and cultivation

Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins

Yuanba’s profound veins are more than twice the width of ordinary veins and possess a different structure and arrangement of profound entrances. Before awakening, that size is a hindrance: once cultivation matures beyond the Elementary Profound Realm, every advance would require vastly more effort, with the True Profound Realm effectively unreachable. Awakening requires an overwhelming desire for strength and the will to stop submitting to others. Yuanba reaches that state through guilt over Yun Che’s apparent death and the conviction that he must never again be too weak to protect his family. (Chapters 38, 60, 142–143, 279–280, and 444–445)

Once active, the veins convert that fierce will into extraordinary cultivation growth and a body suited to direct confrontation. During the initial awakening, near-death battles repeatedly restore Yuanba and leave him stronger. His aura becomes tyrannical and golden, his physique hardens, and his endurance can outlast opponents several levels above him. The power responds strongly to rage, danger, and the need to protect, but emotional intensity is not an unconditional victory: Xuanyuan Wentian can still crush him through a sufficient realm gap, and the Moon Slaughter Devil Nest can still suppress his senses and strength even though his special veins resist better than ordinary cultivation. The veins also influence temperament over time. Greater awakening increases Yuanba’s confidence, appetite for difficult opponents, and focus on cultivation. This does not amount to mindless aggression; he can accept strategic restraint, govern a Sacred Ground, and refuse a shortcut that would undermine the independence he wants. At the latest point, the veins let a sixth-level Divine Origin cultivator keep fighting after repeated injuries and wear down a level-eight opponent, but they have not removed the formal realm gap or the risks of traveling the God Realm alone. Physical power and close combat

Yuanba fights primarily with his body. His signature attacks are direct punches backed by immense profound force, expanding muscles, and a golden aura that can collapse space across a battlefield. He can erase a large army with one blow, shatter a profound-energy sword formed by a seventh-level Monarch, and force stronger opponents to treat his strikes as genuine threats. His uncomplicated method fits both his physique and temperament: he absorbs punishment, closes distance, and continues applying pressure until the opponent’s defense or confidence fails. This style has clear limits. It offers fewer deceptive options than the weapon arts and domains of experienced God Realm opponents, and Yuanba can be isolated, poisoned, exhausted, or overwhelmed before his endurance changes the battle. His survival against Xuanyuan Wentian depends on outside rescue, while his victory in the Nine Faces Realm requires taking extensive wounds against an opponent two levels higher. His strength is therefore exceptional within each attained realm, not immunity to superior cultivation or tactics. (Chapters 773–775, 904–915, 1814, and 1933)

Leadership, will, and latest cultivation

Yuanba’s awakened will has noncombat uses. He holds together Absolute Monarch Sanctuary after its leaders’ betrayal, accepts the symbolic ruler’s artifacts, and directs the institution despite admitting his inexperience. He learns to temper immediate anger when wider political consequences threaten others and later chooses to relinquish the advantages of Emperor Yun’s name while entering a new realm. These decisions show the “emperor” quality of his veins as responsibility and self-command, not only domination. (Chapters 668, 916–930, and 1933–1934)

His latest confirmed cultivation is the sixth level of the Divine Origin Realm, close to the seventh. His divine veins grant power, stamina, and growth beyond the norm at that level, while the Nine Faces Realm King’s decision to teach him directly gives him his first sustained God Realm instruction. No later exact realm is established. (Chapter 1933)

• Yun Che: Yuanba treats Yun Che as brother, protector, and later the standard he wants to reach. Yun Che repeatedly risks himself for Yuanba and gives him access to extraordinary resources; Yuanba answers by defending him against the Divine Phoenix Sect, Sacred Grounds, and Xuanyuan Wentian. Their bond survives changes in power, public status, and Qingyue’s fate, and Yuanba’s late independence is an attempt to become worthy of walking beside him rather than a rejection of that bond. • Xia Qingyue: Qingyue is the older sister Yuanba admires and worries over throughout his life. She witnesses the grief that awakens his veins, while he spends years searching for her and immediately asks whether she has suffered when he learns she is in the God Realm. The truth of her creation is tied to power removed from Yuanba before the altered history began, though he is only told enough to understand that she did not leave Yun Che with hatred. • Spiritual Master Ancient Blue: Ancient Blue finds Yuanba during the dangerous journey triggered by Yun Che’s apparent death, identifies his divine veins, and trains him as a closed-door disciple. Yuanba’s devotion to his master remains strong even when Absolute Monarch Sanctuary betrays Yun Che, and his attempt to save Ancient Blue draws out power while he is near death. • Feng Xue’er: Yuanba protects Xue’er on the Primordial Profound Ark and later waits with her outside the Moon Slaughter Devil Nest.
