Elyn

Elyn Callaway is Eridani's Blue Magic Tower master and Abigail Callaway's mother. A coup leaves her imprisoned, blinded, and unable to use magic until Kai LuForia restores and strengthens her mana network. She recruits his party as traveling Blue Tower mercenaries, uses their fame to save the institution from rivals, and becomes Kai's wife and expectant mother while remaining an exacting administrator.

Biography

Coup, captivity, and restoration

Elyn's deputy Carlito seizes the Blue Tower while Abigail is away, kills or converts most of its members, and confines Elyn in the dungeon for a month. By the time Abigail, Seaweed, and Kai's party reach her, she is malnourished and severely beaten, with broken legs, destroyed sight, and a shattered mana network. Her first concern is whether her daughter was harmed; only after Abigail confirms that she is safe and the usurper is dead does Elyn allow herself relief. (Chapter 227)

Kai restores Elyn with a touch, repairing her injuries, eyesight, and mana network and returning her body to health. Without asking first, he also changes her figure and channels enough power into her to improve both mana quantity and flow. Elyn notices that she feels stronger and recognizes Kai's involvement. She appreciates the result rather than objecting, but that later approval does not change the fact that both the bodily alteration and enhancement were performed before she consented to them. Rebuilding the Blue Magic Tower

Elyn asks Kai, Gwen, Amaya, Sasha, Kyana, and Nadya to join as traveling mercenaries. She offers the tower's name and influence without restricting their movement, while asking them not to use its authority for openly nefarious ends. The bargain gives the adventurers an Eridani affiliation and gives Elyn six apparent Tier-10 sorcerers whose public membership can discourage her competitors from partitioning the tower. (Chapter 228)

Her recovery banquet is a calculated display. Elyn has Abigail greet guests so rivals first assume an inexperienced successor has replaced her, then appears riding a wave of water and announces that Kai restored her from Tier 8 to Tier 9. She accepts provocative gifts, exposes spies, and lets Kai's effortless duel deter rival masters. She also channels demand for his food and cosmetics into Blue Tower contracts. By the end, nobles want business, hostile towers have lost their leverage, and Aquaphina's church has revealed that Elyn's new affiliate is a foreign hero. (Chapters 230–237)

Partnership, pregnancy, and the wider family

Soon after her rescue, Elyn privately invites Kai to her quarters and initiates an adult sexual relationship as a release after the month of captivity. The encounter is presented as mutually desired, and she later explicitly thinks that she wants his child. However, Kai secretly makes himself fertile during their first encounter with the intent to impregnate her; Elyn is not shown agreeing to that reproductive decision in advance. Her later wish and happiness about pregnancy establish a durable partnership but do not retroactively supply the missing disclosure. (Chapters 229, 236)

When Aion and Narwhal attack in Eridani, Kai removes Elyn, Abigail, and other allies to Sarkylla because they cannot safely participate in a battle against higher beings. She later gains access to the connected homes and visits Sarkylla independently. On Kai's return to the Blue Tower, Elyn is pregnant, calls him her husband, and welcomes his plan to remain available for a year. She has already raised Abigail and recognizes that carrying a divine child feels different from her first pregnancy. (Chapters 330, 485)

Elyn remains a tower master rather than withdrawing into the household. She orders hundreds of new uniforms, monitors Abigail's training, tracks demon activity, and acts harshly against an accused embezzler. The tower becomes wealthier and more famous through Kai. When he requests thirty literate workers for Iris and Patty, Elyn recruits them by the next morning. She later attends the complete family meeting and belongs to the partners recognized as demigods. Appearance and personality

Elyn is an adult woman with short hair matching the unspecified color of Abigail's longer hair; their eyes are also similar. The narration emphasizes her mature beauty and curvy figure, which Kai slightly enlarges while healing her. At the banquet, a sparkling dark-blue dress, blue jewelry, and blue lipstick align her with the tower and water affinity. (Chapters 227, 232)

She is resilient, commercially astute, affectionate, and intensely work-focused. Moments after recovery, she assesses casualties, finances, and hostile acquisitions; once secure, she is blunt with rivals and ruthless toward alleged embezzlers. Her first concern in captivity is Abigail, whose training she continues to monitor. She eagerly questions Kai about other continents and welcomes him as a husband, yet he correctly expects to find her working rather than waiting at home. (Chapters 227–234, 237, 485–486)

Tier-9 water sorcery

Elyn is a dedicated water mage and the Blue Tower's master. Before the coup she is Tier 8; Kai's restoration raises her to Tier 9, matching the previously strongest rival tower master. She manipulates water into a moving wave sturdy enough to carry her in the air, forms and launches water balls, and can create large volleys of icicles. Her magic is precise enough to support ceremonial display, rapid reflexive defense, and lethal force. (Chapters 227–233, 485)

Broader spellcraft

Although water is her specialty, Elyn can use fire magic and is capable of teleportation, moving the rescue group from the dungeon to her office with a wave. She also devises a small utility spell that removes and neatly folds clothing, demonstrating that her repertoire includes convenience magic as well as combat arts. The corpus does not provide mana costs, casting times, ranges, named techniques, or an exhaustive elemental list, so those mechanics cannot be quantified. (Chapters 227, 229, 232)

Mana-network restoration and limits

Carlito's torture completely destroys Elyn's mana network, leaving observers certain that she can never regain her former status. Kai's healing reconstructs it, increases circulating mana, improves flow, and produces the Tier-9 advancement she later confirms publicly. The feat is Kai's power, not Elyn's self-healing. Her original defeat also demonstrates that a sufficiently prepared hostile faction can capture and disable her, while Kai evacuates her rather than risk her against Titan-level attackers. Demigod nature

Elyn is part of Kai's assembled family when he later identifies his partners as demigods, with the full gods named separately. This gives her a divine state above her earlier mortal tier, but no scene shows how she ascended or how demigodhood modifies her water magic, durability, senses, lifespan, or mana capacity. Kai's pregnancy protections, connected-space access, and later Spark shield are external benefits and should not be counted as techniques she controls. (Chapters 536–557, 579)

Kai LuForia

Kai rescues and empowers Elyn, while she gives his party the Blue Tower's name, influence, and Eridani base. Their attraction develops into marriage and an expected child. Elyn initiates their first intimacy, but Kai alters her body during healing and chooses fertility without advance disclosure, even though she later welcomes the changes and pregnancy. Abigail Callaway

Abigail is Elyn's daughter, intended successor in the eyes of rival towers, and central personal concern. Elyn asks whether Carlito harmed her before discussing her own suffering. After recovery, she uses Abigail's public role strategically at the banquet while continuing to oversee her training. By Elyn's later pregnancy, Abigail is also becoming the elder child in Elyn and Kai's branch of the connected family. (Chapters 227, 231–232, 485)

Seaweed and the Blue Tower

Seaweed remains loyal during the coup and helps bring Abigail and Kai's party to Elyn. Along with Selena and the surviving members, he represents the institutional community Elyn is determined to preserve. Elyn rewards the mercenaries, purges the consequences of the betrayal, and rebuilds the tower as a school, research body, commercial power, and affiliation capable of supporting allies across Eridani. Kai's household

Elyn's connected home and pregnancy bring her into regular contact with Kai's partners across continents. She visits Sarkylla, promptly helps Iris and Patty obtain staff, and later greets the complete household at Kai's family meeting. Her competence gives the family an Eridani employment and institutional anchor, while the household gives Elyn protection and relationships that extend beyond the tower she leads. At the banquet, Elyn receives a White Tower relic wand that amplifies magic and answers a blood bond, a phoenix spirit-beast egg from the Red Tower, and two chests of Green Tower gold. The fire-affinity egg pointedly mismatches a water specialist, while the gold anticipates leverage. She accepts the gifts strategically but never uses them as signature equipment. (Chapter 232)
