Aion

Aion is the eldest son of Leo and Cassie, a primordial rebel whose attempt to seize the spark of creation destroys his siblings and leads to his imprisonment at Shatter Point. While his true body remains chained beyond the universe, he acts through independently embodied Titan vessels, remote consciousness, projections, and agents led by Narwhal. His eventual bodily escape turns the proxy conflict into a final war with Kai LuForia, the younger brother chosen for the inheritance Aion regards as his birthright.

Biography

Intended heir and primordial rebellion

Later revelations establish that Aion was once Leo's intended successor. Leo told him about the spark and planned to grant it after seeing what kind of creator he would become, while Cassie's praise encouraged him to view greatness and inheritance as certainties. Aion consequently treats control of creation as both a promised destiny and proof of his worth. When the spark remains outside his reach, that expectation hardens into entitlement: he searches for it across the universe, destroys civilizations, and seeks to impose active rule in place of Leo's detached stewardship. (Chapters 562–563)

Aion first tries to take the spark from Cassie, then rallies his brothers and numerous deities against both parents. He absorbs the progenitor essences of siblings who refuse him and helps break the mechanism that continually spawns universes, later ransacking trillions of surviving universes to increase his strength. His stated fear of losing loved ones in repeated cosmic resets gives his rebellion a personal grievance, but his solution is conquest and a forced reset under his control. The war ends with his brothers dead, Leo creating Progenitor Decay, and Aion imprisoned in non-existence rather than accepted as heir. (Chapters 332, 445, 562–563, 574)

Shatter Point and war by proxy

When Aion first appears directly, his true body has spent roughly five hundred million years chained at Shatter Point, a region beyond ordinary existence where Leo's sight is less immediate. He shows no remorse to his visiting parents, blames Cassie's upbringing for the rebellion, and promises to kill them after escaping. The chapter then cuts to an independently active handsome body working with Narwhal. Later explanations identify such forms as vessels into which Aion extends consciousness and places part of his soul; they are not evidence that the chained body has already escaped. (Chapters 308–309, 332–333)

The remote Aion and Narwhal use the Lion Locket to conceal operations from Leo. They seed demon kings and other powerful people with Progenitor Decay, turning what should consume them into empowerment, and attempt to lure a surviving child of the former Nemean identity into the open. When they identify Kai, Aion's Titan vessel fights him, reveals their brotherhood, and explains that absorbing Kai's progenitor essence could help free him. Kai defeats the concealment by carrying the vessel beyond the locket's range; Narwhal is erased, while the vessel escapes through a rift and the imprisoned Aion smiles at Leo from Shatter Point. (Chapters 308, 310, 330–334)

A detached heart supplies another layer of the campaign. Leo and Cassie find Aion's heart pumping Progenitor Decay throughout the universe like a factory, forcing Leo to purge infected sites and seal the organ. The episode shows how Aion distributes pieces and functions of himself without moving the main body. It also explains why his influence can appear in multiple places and survive the defeat of an individual vessel: his prison contains the identity at the center of the network, while hearts, avatars, followers, and contaminated divine bodies carry separate operational fragments. (Chapter 324)

Multiple avatars and the contest for Kai

Leo later visits the prison after sensing that Aion has altered something beyond his clear sight. Aion openly taunts him about the limitation, while Leo leaves the final judgment to Kai. On the mortal world, another Titan-bodied avatar infiltrates a divine realm and fights Kai with primordial power constrained by a lesser vessel. Kai deduces that Aion placed part of his soul and Progenitor Decay into a dead Titan whose intact divine essence keeps the body from collapsing. By removing the decay and essence, Kai destroys that embodied avatar and becomes a god, but Leo immediately clarifies that Aion has several avatars. (Chapters 430, 443–465)

The black-void meeting that follows is a projection of Aion's true appearance, not an independently freed body. Aion concedes that Kai has destroyed one avatar and threatens to take his body, while Kai dismisses him as a prisoner acting through substitutes. A later Titan vessel rules from Aion's castle, gathers divine followers, and invites Kai to join him in remaking the universe. The offer reveals that Aion still wants recognition as much as power: Kai's claim that Leo has promised him the infiniteverse provokes the vessel into a duel that ends when the Progenitor Blade prevents its recovery and severs its head. (Chapters 465, 547–549)

These repeated defeats do not alter Aion's central goal. He describes the decay seeded through Kai's world as a way to strengthen his brother, but only so that Kai's mature body and spark will be more useful to him. He can admire Kai's ingenuity, humor, and refusal to submit, yet each moment of possible fraternity collapses when Kai rejects his supremacy. Aion's relationships therefore remain instrumental: followers are expendable, siblings are either resources or traitors, and even his desire to rule “together” reserves the inheritance and final authority for himself. (Chapters 332–334, 465, 547–549)

Escape, true form, and destruction

After a billion years of accumulated power, Aion's shackles finally crumble and his actual body steps out of Shatter Point. He cannot remain long in the white void because he lacks Leo's spark, but once he reenters the universe he sends a destructive ripple through stars and planets to announce his return. Discovering that Kai impersonated him and decimated his forces produces both reluctant admiration and fury. Rather than rebuild cautiously, he empowers the survivors, attacks Divine Guard headquarters from across the universe, and uses the assault to draw Kai into the open. (Chapters 570–571)

Aion next tears into the pocket dimension sheltering Kai's family and battles his elder sisters Andromeda and Medea. He lets them appear to kill him, regenerates after decapitation and essence damage, then mortally wounds both before Leo rescues them. Against Cassie's clone, he reveals that the Lion Locket is now merged into his being and provides a measure of Leo's power. His private conversation with Kai frames the cosmic reset and his lost families as justification, but Kai rejects both the grievance and the offer, judging Aion by his attempts to poison the world and murder Kai's family. (Chapters 572–574)

In their final fight, Aion initially overwhelms Kai and activates a nine-foot, six-winged true form that he says he has used only once before, when killing their brothers. He manipulates celestial bodies and even compresses a black hole into a blade, eventually destroys Kai's divine essence, and believes he has secured the inheritance. The spark instead reconstructs Kai in a state beyond Aion's power. Aion refuses one final invitation to abandon his claim, insisting that fulfillment requires what is rightfully his, and Kai obliterates him with an explosion compared to the Big Bang, preventing his reincarnation. (Chapters 575–578)

Appearance and personality

Aion's ordinary true appearance is described as extremely handsome, fitting his descent from Leo and Cassie. His embodied avatars resemble him closely enough that Kai recognizes the face across encounters, though the narrative explicitly calls the projection in Chapter 465 a truer appearance than the defeated Titan vessel. In combat his eyes burn gold, and his aura may combine brilliant gold with black energy. These recurring visual traits should not be taken to mean that every body shown is the same physical body. (Chapters 308, 331–332, 465)

His combat form is far more imposing: Aion grows to nine feet, becomes heavily muscular, develops luminous golden eyes, manifests six ethereal energy wings, and carries a halo. The form resembles an angel but is a primordial state, not a separate species or newly gained rank. Its pressure warps space and time and can make lower deities submit. Aion says he previously used it during the murder of his brothers, making the final battle its second confirmed activation rather than an advancement acquired in Chapter 576. (Chapter 576)

Aion is proud, theatrical, vindictive, and convinced that succession belongs to him. He can speak with charm, joke under pressure, arrange a sincere feast, and admire Kai's cleverness, suggesting a capacity for fellowship that his entitlement repeatedly overrides. Opposition becomes treason in his thinking, and failure by a subordinate merits death. His complaint that Leo neglected the universe and allowed families to vanish in cosmic resets is not fabricated, but Aion uses it to excuse mass extermination, essence theft, and rule by fear rather than to protect others. Powers and abilities

Primordial nature and universal laws

Aion is an exceptionally powerful natural-born primordial whose essence derives from Leo. He uses source and divine energy, flies and teleports through space, tears open pocket dimensions, reads minds, looks through time, manipulates matter and energy, and applies universal laws directly. His attacks can shatter planets and stars as collateral damage; after escaping, a clap creates reality-warping ripples that destroy celestial masses. In the final duel he drags a sun from orbit and compresses a black hole into a sword. These feats demonstrate scale, but not equality with Leo, whose spark remains beyond Aion's ability to reproduce or survive without. (Chapters 331–333, 570–576)

Progenitor Decay and essence absorption

Leo created Progenitor Decay to strip identity from beings carrying progenitor energy. Aion survives it, absorbs it, and becomes the only stated user besides Leo. He can spread the decay through a detached heart, poison worlds and divine beings, strengthen selected followers instead of immediately consuming them, and use it to invade Titan bodies. He also absorbs progenitor essences from murdered siblings and worshipers connected to Leo. The decay is exceptionally dangerous to his family, but it is not invincible: Leo purges and seals distributed sources, while Kai can absorb the decay from an avatar and later merge the power into his own being. (Chapters 308–309, 324, 332–334, 464, 571)

Avatars, vessels, and projections

Imprisonment does not prevent Aion from extending consciousness into other beings. A Titan vessel contains part of his soul and decay while the host's preserved divine essence keeps the body functional; because the vessel cannot withstand Aion's full power, he kills gods to repair its deterioration. Aion maintains more than one such avatar, and destroying one does not kill the main identity at Shatter Point. He can also project his appearance into an isolated black void for conversation. These embodied avatars act independently in physical combat, whereas the projection is communicative; neither should be conflated with the true body's Chapter 570 escape. Regeneration and true form

Aion can regenerate catastrophic physical and spiritual injury. After Andromeda decapitates him and Medea destroys his essence, he reattaches his head and continues fighting; later he restores half a body after a near-universal explosion. His true form greatly raises the pressure, speed, and force he exerts and allows him to dominate primordial Kai before the spark awakens. Regeneration nevertheless has counters: the Progenitor Blade prevents a Titan avatar from healing, and spark-empowered Kai destroys the true body so completely that Aion does not enter reincarnation. Relationships

• Leo: Leo initially intends Aion to inherit the spark, then creates Progenitor Decay and imprisons him after the rebellion. Aion interprets Kai's later selection as proof that his father discarded his rightful heir, while Leo regards Aion as a failed son whose defeat belongs to Kai. Their conflict supplies both Aion's grievance and the barrier he spends a billion years trying to escape. (Chapters 308, 430, 445, 562–563, 570–578)
• Cassie: Cassie's praise helps form Aion's expectation of greatness, but his attempt to steal her spark and murder his siblings turns maternal pride into condemnation. Aion blames her parenting for what he became and still addresses her with mocking familiarity when he attacks Kai's family. (Chapters 308–309, 562, 572–574)
• Kai LuForia: Aion seeks Kai's essence and spark as the means to freedom and succession, repeatedly confronting him through Titan avatars before their true bodies meet. He admires Kai's wit and strategy and twice tries to recruit him, but regards refusal as an obstacle to be killed. Kai rejects Aion's birthright argument and ultimately erases him after awakening the spark. (Chapters 330–334, 465, 547–549, 570–578)
• Narwhal: Narwhal is Aion's oldest active ally and helps search for Leo's blood, deploy Progenitor Decay, and maintain the hidden campaign. Aion uses his information and destruction powers while offering no effective protection when Leo finds him; Narwhal's erasure leaves Aion reliant on other avatars and followers. (Chapters 308, 310, 330–333)
• Andromeda and Medea: Aion's elder sisters opposed the old rebellion and confront him after his escape to protect Kai's family. He toys with their confidence, uses regeneration and spatial substitution to reverse their attacks, and nearly kills both before Leo intervenes. (Chapter 572)
• Clarisse: Clarisse trained Aion in his youth and later treats his fall as a personal failure. Her knowledge of his behavior makes Kai's impersonation convincing enough to fracture Aion's forces before the true body returns. (Chapters 563, 567–571)

Items

• Lion Locket: Leo originally made the locket for Aion so its bearer could have privacy from his divine sight. An avatar carries it while operating with Narwhal, and by Chapter 573 Aion says it has merged into his being, grants a portion of Leo's power, and produces a golden barrier. The artifact's concealment can be bypassed by moving beyond its area of effect, and its borrowed power does not save Aion from spark-empowered Kai. (Chapters 310, 332–333, 573, 578)
• Constructed weapons: Aion creates weapons from his own power, including a spear, a morning star, a javelin of divine energy and Progenitor Decay, and a sword compressed from a black hole. These are manifestations rather than separately named personal artifacts. (Chapters 332–333, 464, 571, 576)
