Raimira

Raimira is the biological daughter of the Black Dragon Raizakia, created and imprisoned so that her father could eventually consume her. Eugene Lionheart removes her from Dragon Demon Castle and uses their blood connection to reach Raizakia, after which Raimira chooses to remain under Eugene's protection. Freed from the Dragon Heart fragment's suppressive seal, she grows into a full-sized black dragon, an affectionate member of Eugene's household, and a key aerial combatant in the wars against Helmuth and Destruction. Biography

Raizakia's Captive Daughter

Raimira first appears in Dragon Demon Castle proclaiming herself its rightful master and Raizakia's heir. The title disguises total isolation. She has spent roughly two hundred years confined to a secluded palace, supplied with entertainment but denied meaningful news, relationships, or freedom. Only the Four Divine Generals know she exists, and they show no familial affection. Her imperious self-presentation is therefore learned performance: she can command intruders to die, yet has no experience or authority with which to enforce the order. (Chapters 257–259)

Raizakia created Raimira through dragon reproduction for use as living reserve power. A fragment of his Dragon Heart embedded in her forehead restrains her magic, anchors her to him, and gives their blood tie unusual magical force. The castle's core is also bound to her life, so its destruction would kill her. Eugene takes her captive to trace Raizakia through the dimensional gap, but he also carries her out rather than sacrifice her with the castle. The rescue creates a contradiction Raimira has never faced: the feared intruder values her continued life more than her father does. (Chapters 257–269)

The Dragon Heart fragment then becomes a route through which Raizakia can reach her. Raimira suffers nightmares of being swallowed because the fear corresponds to her intended fate, and the jewel can serve as a dimensional door or catalyst. Eugene modifies the Cloak of Darkness's inner subspace into a mana-rich refuge where she can sleep and survive away from the castle. Kristina calms her nightmares, while Eugene explains rather than conceals his plan to use her blood and Draconic as the route to Raizakia. (Chapters 278–286 and 294–295)

Raimira ultimately accepts the portal operation despite terror because she wants to live and has begun to trust the people protecting her. After Eugene kills Raizakia, she does not resent him: the shock of her father's attempted consumption confirms that no loving bond existed between them. Ariartelle later identifies the jewel as a powerful Draconic seal and asks whether Eugene means to control Raimira or free her. Raimira chooses to remain with Eugene, valuing safety, companionship, and the first home she selected for herself. (Chapters 294–305 and 320–323)

Recovery, Family, and Agency

Ariartelle releases Raizakia's seal, restoring draconic power suppressed throughout Raimira's life. Raimira can finally assume her enormous black-dragon body, use polymorph freely, and speak effective Draconic. The sudden power makes her briefly boastful, but she remains a hatchling and quickly recognizes Eugene's superior strength. Over two weeks of testing, repeated Breath attacks cause discomfort and the thought-link through the cloak produces nausea until Eugene stabilizes it, defining both the real scale of her recovery and its immediate limitations. Freedom first expresses itself in ordinary discovery. Raimira hides her horn-like protrusions to travel, marvels at dolphins, accepts the nickname Rai, and is indulged with clothing and sweets by Ancilla. She also begins contributing by choice: she supplies Breath as forge heat for Carmen Lionheart's equipment, helps Sienna Merdein with mana, carries travelers in dragon form, and shares power with Eugene through their stabilized connection. These experiences turn abilities once reserved for Raizakia's use into work for people Raimira considers family. (Chapters 337–360, 369–403, and 425–430)

Raimira enters open war as the child of an infamous enemy who has chosen the heroes' side. She transports soldiers, scouts from the air, and becomes the living center of Maise's Battleship Signature. Before Eugene confronts Noir Giabella, she leaves the cloak in tears because she understands that it may no longer protect her. She then fights alongside Sienna in Noir's dream realm, using her true body and Breath even though Noir's shockwave can throw her from the sky. Her participation is no longer compelled by a parent, castle, or seal. (Chapters 403, 466–473, and 553–569)

Against the Demon King of Destruction, Raimira continues fighting after the enemy annihilates her magic and touches one wing. The immediate scene attributes the wing's amputation to Maise's magic blade, while later dialogue by Raimira and Mer attributes the cut to Mer; the corpus does not reconcile those accounts. Raimira resumes firing Breaths while allied wizards pour mana into her, survives, recovers enough to carry priests and wizards in the final approach, and catches falling passengers with Draconic on Eugene's command. In peace, Ancilla openly treats her as a child of the household, and Raimira joins Eugene's main-family photograph after receiving confirmation that she will continue living with him. Appearance and personality

Raimira usually appears as a young girl with black hair, large purple eyes, a ruby-like Dragon Heart fragment in her forehead, and long protrusions resembling horns. Her hair is sometimes braided, and after gaining control of polymorph she can conceal the horns for public travel. The child form reflects her developmental stage rather than chronological human age: despite living for roughly two centuries, she remains a dragon hatchling whose isolation prevented normal social and magical growth. Her original body is a gigantic black dragon with obsidian-like scales, broad wings capable of obscuring the sun, and the same purple eyes. The scales are hard and sharp enough that riders must take care on her back. In this form she can carry groups of people and serve as the platform for aerial spell formations. She loses a wing while fighting Destruction, survives the wound, and later returns to transport duty during the final operations. (Chapters 336–337, 403, 426, 469–473, 558–595, and 614–615)

Raimira speaks grandly of “this lady,” inherited dignity, and her status as a dragon, but the pomposity covers fear, inexperience, and a strong desire for reassurance. She can be boastful, mischievous, and easily bribed with treats, yet she is also protective: she pulls Mer toward safety, worries openly for Eugene, and keeps attacking when retreat would be understandable. Her recovery is marked less by becoming solemn than by gaining the freedom to be childish, form attachments, complain, and still decide to place herself in danger for others. Abilities and powers

Raimira is a true Black Dragon whose innate magic was suppressed for most of her life. After Ariartelle removes Raizakia's seal, she gains access to full-sized transformation, Draconic, Breath, poison potential, flight, Dragon Fear, and the mana of her Dragon Heart. She remains a hatchling rather than an Ancient Dragon, and her strongest wartime applications rely on coordination with Eugene, Sienna, Maise, priests, or supporting wizards. Draconic, polymorph, and innate magic

Draconic allows dragons to impose magical commands through their native language. While the forehead seal remains active, Raimira's Draconic, ordinary magic, and Dragon Fear are markedly weaker than those of a similarly aged dragon. Ariartelle can interfere only after Raizakia dies, and removing the restriction restores rather than grants Raimira's power. She then uses Draconic to transform between human and dragon bodies, conceal draconic traits, support movement, and catch falling allies in the air. (Chapters 258–259, 322–323, 336–338, and 614)

Raimira's blood and embedded fragment form a particularly strong connection to Raizakia. Eugene can use Akasha's Draconic on her as a living catalyst, trace her father across the gap between dimensions, and open a route through the fragment. Before Raizakia's death, this same connection permits his intrusion and reinforces her nightmares, illustrating that blood-contract magic can operate in both directions. Once the seal is removed, the fragment ceases to suppress her, though it remains visibly set in her forehead. (Chapters 257–259, 278–295, and 322–336)

Her Dragon Fear exerts instinctive pressure when she takes her original form, while her black scales provide natural armor and her wings enable long-range transport. These traits are substantial against ordinary combatants but do not make her invulnerable. Noir's raw force knocks Raimira from the sky despite Sienna's presence, and Destruction annihilates Breath and magic on contact. Damage to a wing removes ordinary flight stability until magical support compensates, showing that her body is powerful but still subject to injury and superior laws. Breath, poison, and mana support

Raimira concentrates a large amount of mana in her mouth and releases it as destructive dragon Breath. Ordinary barriers cannot withstand the attack, and she can repeat it multiple times, but early testing leaves her uncomfortable after consecutive uses. As a Black Dragon she also has the potential to generate poison, though Eugene judges her venom below Raizakia's and the supplied chapters emphasize Breath far more than a developed poison technique. Her Draconic is likewise initially less efficient in combat than Eugene casting directly. (Chapters 336–337)

Breath has applications beyond direct battle. Raimira maintains forge heat for days while Gondor works on Carmen's equipment, accepting a task she initially calls blasphemous to her dragon blood. In war, it becomes both artillery and desperate suppression. She fires from inside Maise's Battleship, continues after losing a wing, and draws deeply on her Dragon Heart while allied wizards replenish her mana. The support extends her output but cannot make the attack effective against Destruction's annihilating colors. (Chapters 351 and 360, 577–595, and 607)

The stabilized bond through the Cloak of Darkness lets Raimira support Eugene from an interior subspace. They can connect thoughts and sensations, and Eugene can draw upon her dense mana and Draconic while maintaining his own techniques. Early synchronization causes nausea, distinguishing her from Mer's purpose-built familiar bond, but repeated adjustment makes immediate support practical. Raimira also contributes mana to Sienna's formulas and later acts as a mobile platform around which Maise's cannons and allied spellcasters organize. • Raizakia: Raizakia is Raimira's biological father and creator, but never treats her as family.
