Kristina Rogeris is the Saintess created by Yuras as a near-perfect clone of Anise Slywood. Raised to reproduce a predecessor rather than choose her own life, she rejects the institution that engineered her, embraces Anise as a sister instead of a competing identity, and becomes a battlefield Saint whose chosen faith in Eugene helps end the Demon Kings and secure a future for both women. Biography

Candidate Saintess and the Fount of Light

Yuras produced Kristina after centuries of failed attempts to clone Anise Slywood from her sacred remains. Kristina's soul proved unusually compatible with the cloned body and the relic implanted in her, so the Church placed her as an abandoned infant in a Tressia monastery and monitored her until age ten. Cardinal Sergio Rogeris then adopted her and shaped her into the generation's sole Saint Candidate. Surrounded by expectations that her resemblance to Anise was divine fate, Kristina practiced the ideal Saintess's smile, voice, and concealed emotions until service seemed like the only value her life could possess. (Chapters 183–184, 196, and 622)

Kristina first approached Eugene Lionheart as the Hero whom revelation required her to support. She tested his connection to the Light, led him to Vermouth's tomb, and accompanied him through Samar even when he rejected the ceremonial role Yuras had prepared for him. Her healing carried him through Ignition's recoil, while his blunt concern challenged the doctrine that a Saintess should gladly die for the Hero. Their arguments and shared danger gave Kristina a relationship not dictated entirely by Sergio: she began wanting to accompany Eugene as a particular person, even while she still interpreted that desire through the duty she had been taught. The confirmation ritual returned Kristina to the hidden Fount whose repeated baptisms had traumatized her since childhood. Sergio demanded that she accept pain, sacrifice, and the possibility of erasure as the purpose for which she had been made. Kristina instead admitted her fear, denied that a Saintess existed only to be consumed, and tried to assist Eugene despite her body freezing under years of conditioning. Eugene killed Sergio and broke the force guarding the Fount, but Kristina's decisive development was her own refusal to retreat: she walked back into the spring that terrified her because leaving its system intact would preserve the same future for another candidate. Within the collapsing Fount, Kristina learned that she was Anise's clone and that the voice and angelic power around her belonged to Anise's surviving soul. The revelation did not erase Kristina; Anise returned to her as a spiritual presence and affirmed that the body, life, and identity remained Kristina's. Together they exposed the artificial Saintess program, returned abused remains to the Light, recovered Anise's relics, and refused papal recognition that would let Yuras define their legitimacy. Kristina then left the nation financially and institutionally independent, choosing to travel with Eugene while treating Anise as an elder sister rather than the original whose place she had to surrender. Shared Body and Chosen Faith

Sharing a body required Kristina and Anise to turn intimacy into continual consent. They could hear each other's thoughts, exchange control, and experience the same senses, but they negotiated who would act and how much time Anise would take. Kristina initially offered the entire body out of gratitude, while Anise refused to let that generosity become another form of Kristina's self-erasure. Eugene's ability to distinguish their touch and manner even when their appearance was identical further confirmed Kristina's personhood. Their arrangement consequently became a sisterhood in which inherited memories and power expanded Kristina's life without making her a replacement Anise. (Chapters 202–205 and 242–245)

Kristina's first war in Samar turned that partnership into battlefield experience. Under Anise's instruction, she produced holy water, protected troops with divine barriers, purified demonic attacks, and sustained wounded warriors despite having no supporting clergy from whom to borrow power. Their combined prayer unfolded eight wings and raised a Cross of Light strong enough to stop Edmund's death magic, but repeated miracles left the shared body pale, sleepless, and dizzy. The lives Kristina saved and the prayers she offered for those beyond her own religion made the local warriors recognize her as the Saint in her own right, fulfilling Anise's determination that Kristina's name should stand beside rather than beneath hers. In the campaigns that followed, Kristina became a strategic support rather than a ceremonial companion. She stored power in the Holy Sword and rosary before Eugene entered Raizakia's domain, helped protect the fleet approaching the Demon King of Fury, and joined Anise in pinning Iris with a miracle that opened Eugene's path. She also sustained Eugene through the battle with the Specter and treated damage that would otherwise have ended the engagement. These campaigns clarified her role: she possessed some weapons training, but her greatest contribution was keeping fighters alive, purifying hostile power, and concentrating miracles where a battle's survival depended on them. Kristina's faith eventually became an explicit choice. When she and Anise realized that the Light lacked the personal will they had been taught to worship, Kristina did not lose her purpose; she declared that Eugene's actions had illuminated her world and chose to become his Saint. That prayer produced a second genuine Stigmata and strengthened the miracles shared by the two women. Eugene later used his divine blood and the Light's accumulated power in their baptism, deepening Kristina's halo, connection, and capacity. Her devotion was no longer obedience to Yuras or proof that she was Anise's successor, but a bond she chose with the person whose victories had given her a future. (Chapters 504, 545, and 550)

Nightmare, Divinity, and Peace

Noir Giabella attacked that future through a nightmare drawn from Kristina's deepest trauma. The vision restored the Fount, the resentful remains of failed candidates, and Sergio's accusations, demonstrating that Kristina's old fear had not vanished merely because she had chosen a new faith. Although Noir could overpower her mental resistance, Kristina recovered without allowing the nightmare to decide her next action. When Eugene entered Giabella City alone, she and Anise remained linked to his divinity from outside, endured bleeding Stigmata, and anchored him while Sienna disrupted the dream. Their support respected his tactical decision without turning absence from the city into passivity. (Chapters 550–558)

After Eugene fell into a three-month sleep, Kristina prayed, nursed him, helped guard him from assassins, and joined the continent's faithful in calling him back. Once he awoke, she helped prepare holy water and divine support for the last campaign, then entered Babel beside Eugene and Sienna Merdein. Incarceration offered to preserve their souls in another era, but Kristina refused eternity at the price of abandoning the world and relationships she had gained. Her answer marked the reversal of her childhood training: the Saintess who had once been taught to welcome sacrifice now chose the difficult, finite future she personally wanted. (Chapters 569–581)

Against the Demon King of Incarceration, Kristina and Anise prayed continuously so Eugene and Molon Ruhr could fight through otherwise fatal wounds, even reattaching Molon's severed arm in the middle of combat. They carried the same role into Destruction, combining their miracles with Sienna's barriers and exhausting their manifested wings to keep Eugene moving. Kristina remained beside him after Anise's strength faded and made her last prayer for victory while pushing him toward Destruction's heart. The effort left both Saints unconscious, but their support helped turn survival from a promised afterlife into the actual defeat of the final Demon King. (Chapters 583–594 and 604–612)

Kristina returned from Destruction as one of the publicly acclaimed heroes and resumed life without surrendering either faith or ordinary desire. She revisited the former Fount, prayed at the grave of the failed candidates she called her older sisters, and persuaded Anise that completing their mission did not require her to disappear. By supporting Anise's transfer into a doll body, Kristina regained an independent body without abandoning their sisterhood. She also accepted a shared future with Eugene and Sienna, including Eugene's plan to marry all three women, and stood with the Lionheart household at the opening of its new city and Dynas Academy. Appearance and personality

Kristina has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a face so similar to Anise's that Eugene recognizes the resemblance at their first meeting. Their features are not perfectly identical, and after Anise receives a doll modeled on Kristina they resemble twins; Kristina's teardrop mole, clothing, and distinct manner become the clearest visible differences. She commonly wears white clerical robes, including Anise's recovered robe, and carries a rosary. After her later divine development, a soft aura surrounds her, a halo appears above her head, and eight wings of light can unfold behind her. (Chapters 83–84, 203, 367, 550, and 624)

Her gentle smile and formal speech began as carefully practiced tools for hiding thoughts from Sergio and presenting the ideal Saintess. Kristina retains that poise, but increasingly uses it on her own terms: beneath it she is observant, stubborn, sharp-tongued, competitive, and capable of teasing or maneuvering around people while appearing innocent. She can also be shy about affection, dislikes beer more than Anise does, and initially yields too readily when she believes someone else deserves happiness more. Experience makes her more direct about what she wants without removing the compassion that drives her to heal strangers and pray for followers of other gods. Kristina's central principle is that chosen devotion can be liberating even when imposed devotion was abusive. She does not abandon the idea of the Saint after discovering how Yuras manufactured it; instead, she rejects the institution's ownership and chooses the people, faith, and future she will serve. This conviction makes her courageous enough to face the Fount, oppose Incarceration, and endure the Stigmata's pain. It also explains her insistence that Anise accept a new body and happiness: Kristina's mature faith values a person's desire to live more than the appearance of a noble sacrifice. Abilities and powers

Kristina is a divine-magic specialist whose body was engineered to hold more of the Light than an ordinary priest and whose chosen bond with Eugene later grants genuine Stigmata. Her abilities develop through three overlapping sources: the compatibility built into her cloned body, Anise's angelic power and experience while they share that body, and the faith that connects both Saints to Eugene. After Anise moves into an independent doll, Kristina retains her own completed body, Stigmata, and status as Eugene's Saint rather than losing the power that had become hers. Engineered Saintess body and divine capacity

Kristina's body is a near-perfect replica of Anise produced from sacred remains after many failed copies. Her soul's compatibility with that body allowed Anise's relic to integrate without the seizures that would have caused Yuras to discard her. Unlike Anise, whose artificial Incarnation body was destined to die young, Kristina is expected to live for a very long time and eventually perform great miracles without the same fatal deterioration. This design gives her exceptional capacity, but it did not automatically supply experience, genuine Stigmata, or unlimited divine power; those emerged through later choices and battles. Divine magic turns faith and prayer into power expressed as Light. Kristina can draw on her own reserves, accept Anise's contribution, receive power lent by other priests, and later resonate directly with Eugene's divinity. More contributors make large miracles sustainable, whereas working alone forces her finite reserves to cover every protection, purification, and healing effect. Mass-producing holy water or defending an army can therefore leave her pale, dizzy, sleep-deprived, or unconscious. Her strongest final miracles remain cooperative effects supported by Anise, Eugene, other believers, or Sienna's magic rather than evidence of an inexhaustible personal supply. Healing, purification, and sacred provisions

Kristina can close wounds, mend muscle and organs, reconnect nerves, set shattered bones, and restore fighters while combat is still underway. Anise initially supplies the experience and additional power that raise these miracles beyond Kristina's earlier healing in Samar; Kristina practices taking the lead so that the treatment is hers rather than borrowed reflex. Genuine Stigmata later let the Saints reattach and regenerate severed limbs almost immediately, as demonstrated when Molon's arm is restored against Incarceration. Healing still consumes power, cannot substitute for resolving psychological trauma, and does not make a fighter immune to repeated damage or the recoil of self-destructive techniques. Her purification can neutralize poison, dark power, contaminated water, demonic influence, and fear. Kristina blesses existing water into holy water that treats wounds and clears minds, and she can transform food or water through lesser miracles, but she requires material to work on rather than creating supplies from nothing. Her blessings restore courage and stamina, while prayers for the dead address spiritual care rather than bodily survival. These effects are strongest within the reach of her Light and can be weakened by hostile darkness, distance, an absence of supporting believers, or demands large enough to exhaust her reserves. Barriers, angelic manifestation, and battlefield support

Kristina creates shields and wide barriers of Light, protects ships and soldiers, suppresses hostile dark power, and opens paths through enemy territory. Her eight wings can spread defensive light, support flight and movement, and focus power into a Cross of Light; her halo and angelic form become more pronounced as her divinity develops. In coordinated combat, her prayers can join Anise's and Sienna's power, allowing magical barriers to withstand attacks they could not bear alone. The defense is not absolute: maintaining a broad barrier drains power rapidly, so Kristina sometimes narrows protection to the Hero and essential forces when continuing to cover everyone would endanger the decisive battle. She has combat training from Raphael and can use Anise's mace after its conversion into a flail, but she is not primarily a knight. Anise's centuries of experience make her the more capable direct wielder, while Kristina specializes in selecting targets for miracles, maintaining protection, and preserving fighters who accept injuries to create openings. This division is deliberate rather than a deficiency: channeling her limited attention and divine power into healing and barriers produces greater battlefield value than trying to match Eugene, Molon, or Sienna offensively. Her relics can store and transmit prayers, letting her support an ally even when she cannot enter the same space. (Chapters 202–204, 283–287, 295–304, 368, and 488)

Shared incarnation, Stigmata, and divine resonance

While Anise inhabits Kristina, the two communicate internally, read one another's thoughts, share senses and memories, exchange control of the body, or merge their consciousnesses for a miracle. Normally only one directs the body at a time, and their different habits remain perceptible even when the physical face and voice are unchanged. Consent and identity are practical limits as well as moral ones: Anise refuses unrestricted possession, and Kristina learns not to offer away her life merely because she trusts her sister. After Anise transfers to the doll, each can act physically and form new memories independently, ending Kristina's need to divide her body's time. (Chapters 196–205, 242–245, 287, and 622–625)

Kristina's first genuine Stigmata appears on her left palm when Eugene prays for strength against Fury, granting power without the bleeding associated with Anise's artificial back mark. After Kristina and Anise choose Eugene as their god, a second Stigmata forms on the right hand and expands their miracles; Eugene's later baptism further strengthens their divine connection and produces a persistent halo. Resonance lets Kristina sense Eugene across great distances, communicate through divine power, sustain Levantein, and help anchor his mind. Excessive strain can split the marks and make them bleed, burn, or transmit pain from his battles, so the connection is a powerful support channel rather than protection from all consequences. At the height of this connection, Kristina can channel prayer and the will of believers into Eugene's miracles while acting as one of his wings. She and Anise help him manage the Light, support the Divine Army's sanctuary, and remain beside him inside Destruction until their manifested power is spent. Their final prayers do not independently destroy the enemy; they preserve Eugene's advance, reinforce his conviction, and transmit the faith from which his divinity draws strength. The latest state preserves this bond even though Anise no longer resides inside Kristina, showing that Kristina's sainthood rests on her own chosen faith rather than permanent possession. • Anise Slywood: Anise is Kristina's genetic original, implanted relic, shared soul, teacher, and chosen elder sister.
