Mu Bingyun

Mu Bingyun is an Ice Phoenix inheritor, the younger sister of Mu Xuanyin, and the founder whom Frozen Cloud Asgard remembered as its long-dead ancestor. A poisoned escape from the God Realm stranded her on the Profound Sky Continent with neither memory nor strength. The refuge she created while recovering survived her departure and eventually became the bridge by which Yun Che entered the God Realm. (Chapters 360, 386, and 937–944)

Within the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect, she is the master of the Thirty-sixth Ice Phoenix Palace and Mu Xiaolan, then the guardian and advocate who gives Yun Che a place in Snow Song. After Mu Xuanyin's apparent death, Mu Bingyun succeeds her as sect master and realm king despite being far weaker than her sister. Her story therefore moves from quiet preservation to public responsibility: she repeatedly accepts personal danger so that a sect, a realm, or a person in her care can survive. Biography

The hidden founder of Frozen Cloud Asgard

A millennium before Yun Che enters the God Realm, Mu Bingyun is the strongest of Snow Song's thirty-six Ice Phoenix palace masters and second only to Mu Xuanyin. During an ancient grudge with the Flame God Realm, Huo Rulie poisons her with the breath of a horned dragon. Gravely wounded, she forces a dimensional escape and awakens on the Profound Sky Continent with her memory and profound strength gone. The public record later reduces the woman who appears there to a sixth-level Emperor Profound practitioner, but Heavenly Sword Villa's private history remembers strength sufficient to defeat its founder in one move and to bury an entire region in lasting snow. As her memories return, Mu Bingyun gathers abandoned and persecuted girls rather than building a sect for power. She calls their refuge Frozen Cloud Asgard, leaves the Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon under the name Frozen End Divine Arts, and creates the more accessible Frozen Cloud Arts after remembering that ordinary practitioners cannot wield the true art without Ice Phoenix blood. She also establishes its escape formation and defensive protections, then returns to Snow Song when her cultivation and identity recover. Her disappearance becomes a legend of death, but she remains emotionally attached enough to visit the Asgard three times over the following millennium. (Chapters 386, 602, 765, and 937)

Poison, farewell, and recovery

The horned dragon poison never truly leaves her. It penetrates her life vein, profound veins, marrow, and soul, eventually producing a conscious poison spirit whose life is tied to hers. Mu Xuanyin spends immense resources keeping her alive, while Mu Bingyun withdraws from public life and loses the desire to continue an existence defined by constant pain. Her last journey to Frozen Cloud Asgard is meant as a farewell: she wants to see the place she founded once more before allowing the poison to take her. Mu Xiaolan's refusal to accept that end instead brings her to Yun Che. (Chapters 937–939 and 974)

Yun Che first severs the poison spirit's connection to her lifeline, then uses the Sky Poison Pearl over a month to cleanse the accumulated toxin. Mu Bingyun recognizes enough of the method to infer the treasure he carries, but gratitude and concern lead her to protect the secret rather than claim it. The cure restores her will to live and allows her Divine Sovereign power to return. Before leaving the lower realm, she divides a drop of her own blood essence among six Frozen Cloud leaders, giving the descendants of her refuge enough Ice Phoenix lineage to cultivate the true Frozen End Divine Arts despite the lasting cost to herself. Yun Che's guide and guardian in Snow Song

Mu Bingyun repays Yun Che by offering the one opportunity he cannot create for himself: passage into the God Realm, where he hopes to find Jasmine. She does not promise that his search can succeed and repeatedly warns him that his lower-realm cultivation leaves him vulnerable. Even so, she accepts responsibility for bringing him into Snow Song, argues that the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect should admit him, and places him under her palace's protection. When Mu Fengshu attempts to punish and expel him, Mu Bingyun intervenes personally, making clear that neither his origin nor political hostility will erase the debt she owes him. Her role becomes more than repayment. She explains the God Realm's cultivation and political order, supplies resources, monitors Yun Che's safety, and helps place him where Mu Xuanyin can recognize his potential. Mu Xuanyin ultimately takes him as a direct disciple, but Mu Bingyun remains his gentler point of trust within the sect. She worries through his disappearances and dangerous choices, searches for him after the Moon God Realm's failed wedding, and understands both his recklessness and the feelings her sister conceals behind severity. Deaths, returns, and succession

When Yun Che's soul crystal breaks in the Star God Realm, Mu Bingyun is shaken not only by his apparent death but by Mu Xuanyin's grief. She recognizes that her sister's cold dismissal is a defense rather than indifference, yet she can do little beyond respect the seclusion that follows. Yun Che's later return restores that bond, but the crisis surrounding Jie Yuan ends with Yun Che exposed as a darkness profound practitioner and Mu Xuanyin apparently killed while protecting him. Mu Bingyun receives her sister's Snow Princess Sword from Yun Che, strikes him once in grief, and then orders him to keep living because Mu Xuanyin purchased that life with her own. Mu Bingyun refuses Yun Che's warning to abandon Snow Song. Instead, she takes the sect master's sword and engraved jade, succeeds Mu Xuanyin as Divine Ice Phoenix Sect master and Snow Song Realm King, and resolves to protect the realm for as long as she breathes. The succession transforms the demands placed upon her. She knows her cultivation and renown cannot reproduce Mu Xuanyin's deterrence, so the woman once described as gentle as a cloud forces herself to appear cold, decisive, and even merciless while hostile realms and rebellious profound beasts test Snow Song's weakness. Her private mourning at the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake remains the one place where she allows that armor to fall. (Chapters 1535 and 1691)

The northern invasion and Mu Xuanyin's return

The Northern Divine Region's invasion magnifies every danger of Mu Bingyun's reign. She mobilizes the sect and its branches against the Azure Snow Ice Kirin and its horde, prepared to accept severe losses rather than seek help from the Moon God Realm she believes betrayed Yun Che and her sister. The confrontation ends without battle only because a hidden protector has already terrified the beasts into submission. When the Thunderclap Realm King later attacks the Ice Phoenix barrier, Mu Bingyun refuses to placate him even though he is a Divine Master; she answers his attempt to exploit Snow Song with open contempt. The Tenth Brahma King, Qianye Zixiao, then takes Mu Bingyun as leverage against Yun Che. She calmly agrees to leave because refusal would expose her sect to annihilation, relinquishes her emblems of office, and accepts what appears to be a one-way journey. Chi Wuyao follows to rescue her, but the decisive intervention comes from the supposedly dead Mu Xuanyin, who incapacitates the Brahma King and has her sister returned unharmed. Mu Bingyun keeps the revival secret until the war's demands have passed. When Yun Che finally returns openly to Snow Song, she greets him with relief rather than fear, showing that neither his darkness nor his new imperial power has erased their earlier bond. Imperial peace and latest state

After the conquest, Mu Bingyun remains the functioning sect master while Mu Xuanyin is restored as Snow Song Realm King. She accepts Snow Song's elevation to king-realm status as an honor and a lasting protection, but asks Yun Che to release her sister from the burden of daily rule. Her claim that she can now handle those responsibilities shows what the succession years changed in her: she no longer measures herself only against Mu Xuanyin's strength, and she is willing to carry the institution so that her sister can live for herself. Mu Bingyun's latest direct appearances place her in the Ice Phoenix Sacred Region, alive, fully cured, and still addressed as sect master. She welcomes Yun Che without ceremony and accepts Yun Wuxin's affectionate choice to call her aunt, gently separating her present life in Snow Song from the ancient founder whom Frozen Cloud Asgard believed dead. Even after Yun Che becomes Emperor Yun, he continues to treat her as the same trusted Palace Master Bingyun, and her calm presence remains one of the few that lets him feel unguarded. Appearance and personality

Mu Bingyun is described as a white-robed beauty with the unearthly bearing of an ice fairy. Her skin and features appear carved from flawless snow and ice, while her clear eyes resemble ice crystals capable of dimming the stars. She resembles Mu Xuanyin closely enough for their kinship to be unmistakable, but their presences differ: Mu Xuanyin's beauty is overwhelming and forbidding, whereas Mu Bingyun's gaze and soft voice carry the calm of falling snow and the gentleness of water. Her habitual manner is composed, courteous, and unusually compassionate for the severe environment of the God Realm. The founding purpose of Frozen Cloud Asgard, her devotion to Mu Xiaolan, and her protection of Yun Che all show that her apparent detachment is not emotional coldness. A millennium of poisoning does leave her resigned and indifferent to her own survival, but the cure reveals patience, warmth, and a capacity for quiet humor rather than changing her essential character. Yun Che eventually describes her as one of the purest and gentlest people he has known. (Chapters 386, 937–943, and 1288)

Mu Bingyun's gentleness is not weakness. She can keep the Sky Poison Pearl secret, confront superior enemies without yielding, and give up her own blood essence or freedom when others depend on her. After becoming realm king, she deliberately adopts a harsher public face because visible vulnerability would invite attacks on Snow Song. The contrast between that cold authority and her private grief at the heavenly lake shows both the cost of leadership and her development: she learns to perform Mu Xuanyin's role without becoming Mu Xuanyin. Abilities and cultivation

Divine Sovereign cultivation

Mu Bingyun's latest exact level is the eighth level of the Divine Sovereign Realm. At this level she is one of only two Divine Sovereigns in Snow Song after Mu Xuanyin's apparent death and stands above the rulers of nearby middle star realms. Her profound strength supports flight through the void, high-order barriers and formations, long-range spiritual perception, and combat on a scale that lower-realm practitioners cannot approach. During her recovery she quickly resumes the position of Snow Song's strongest palace master beneath Mu Xuanyin, and by the Profound God Convention her late-stage Divine Sovereign aura is comparable to an elite Star Guard commander. That rank has clear limits. Mu Bingyun and Mu Huanzhi can suppress a level-six Divine Sovereign beast, but doing so alongside its horde would inflict heavy losses on the sect. A Divine Master such as the Thunderclap Realm King can severely damage Snow Song's barrier, and a peak Brahma King can take her hostage without needing a fight. Her authority therefore depends on judgment, formations, coordinated sect strength, and political deterrence as much as personal power. Ice Phoenix bloodline and God Investiture Canon

Mu Bingyun carries Ice Phoenix blood and cultivates the Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon, the primordial divine art known in the lower realms as Frozen End Divine Arts. Its ice is governed by a higher cold law: the energy and constructs appear almost alive, and accomplished use can freeze not only matter but profound strength, sword intent, the heart, and the soul. Even the incomplete lower-realm record credits her apparent sixth-level Emperor Profound self with defeating an eighth-level Emperor three times; Heavenly Sword Villa's private account instead says that her concealed true power ended their founder's challenge in one move. The art's decisive prerequisite is Ice Phoenix blood or soul. Ordinary Frozen Cloud disciples can understand its formulas without producing its true power, while exceptional physiques can only imitate a shadow of it. Mu Bingyun demonstrates a direct solution by dividing one drop of blood essence among six disciples, granting each a faint lineage sufficient to begin cultivating the art. The act is effective but costly because damaged blood essence is exceptionally difficult to restore. Her swordsmanship, barriers, and formations all use the same Ice Phoenix law, but her strongest named combat techniques are not directly displayed. (Chapters 765, 937, and 944)

Founder, teacher, and formation master

When memory loss prevents Mu Bingyun from recalling the Canon's true name and restrictions, she transmits what she remembers as Frozen End Divine Arts. Once she understands that her disciples lack the necessary bloodline, she creates the Frozen Cloud Arts in seven days so they can cultivate a compatible ice path. She also creates the Snow Goddess' Veil, an automatic defense capable of protecting the Asgard from the lower realm's greatest powers, builds a dimensional escape formation, and uses an Ice Phoenix Frost Crystal as the soul vessel later called the Frozen Cloud Celestial Soul. These works show a breadth of law comprehension and sectcraft that her formal realm alone does not capture. (Chapters 386, 602, 765, and 937)

As a teacher, Mu Bingyun emphasizes survival and institutional continuity. She recognizes special profound veins and constitutions, judges which disciples can bear advanced inheritance, and shields their growth from internal factional pressure. Mu Xiaolan's unusual early entry into an Ice Phoenix Palace and Yun Che's transition from lower-realm outsider to Mu Xuanyin's direct disciple both depend on that discernment. Her mentorship cannot remove a disciple's limitations, but it gives them access, resources, and protection long enough for their potential to matter. (Chapters 941–974)

Horned dragon poison and restoration

The horned dragon poison is the central limitation on Mu Bingyun's power for a thousand years. It initially strips her memory and cultivation, then persists after her return to Snow Song by invading every essential part of body and soul. Its poison spirit develops an independent consciousness while remaining joined to her lifeline, meaning that simply destroying it would kill her. Snow Song's treasures can preserve her life but cannot remove the cause, and her profound strength and public activity remain suppressed throughout the ordeal. (Chapters 937–939 and 974)

Yun Che's treatment succeeds because the Sky Poison Pearl can purify the spirit after he medically severs its life-link. A month of gradual cleansing removes the toxin without destroying Mu Bingyun's own vitality, after which her profound strength recovers rather than being newly granted. This distinction explains the rapid return from near death to Divine Sovereign status: the cure restores access to cultivation she had already achieved. By her latest appearances, the poison imposes no stated continuing limit. (Chapters 938–944, 974, and 1018)

• Yun Che: Yun Che saves Mu Bingyun from the poison she has endured for a millennium; she repays him by carrying him into the God Realm, defending his place in Snow Song, and preserving the secret of the Sky Poison Pearl. The debt develops into mutual trust and familial affection. She grieves his apparent death, holds him responsible for the pain his recklessness causes, and remains one of the few elders before whom Emperor Yun still behaves as a junior. • Mu Xuanyin: Mu Xuanyin is Mu Bingyun's elder sister, sovereign, protector, and closest relative. She spends a millennium preserving Bingyun's life and avenges the poisoning, while Bingyun understands the feelings and vulnerabilities hidden beneath her severity. Mu Xuanyin's apparent death forces Bingyun onto the realm throne; her secret return saves Bingyun from the Brahma Monarch Realm, and Bingyun later offers to keep carrying Snow Song's burdens so her sister can live for herself. • Mu Xiaolan: Mu Xiaolan is Mu Bingyun's direct disciple and devoted attendant. • Huo Rulie: Huo Rulie poisons Mu Bingyun in retaliation for the accidental crippling of his son, creating the injury that shapes the next thousand years of her life. Yun Che's later cure for both Mu Bingyun and Huo Rulie's son removes the human causes of their feud, and Huo Rulie ultimately admits his wrongdoing rather than perpetuating the grudge. • Chi Wuyao: Chi Wuyao's hidden soul connection to Mu Xuanyin makes Mu Bingyun part of an intimate history she does not initially understand. During the northern invasion, Chi Wuyao protects Snow Song and personally pursues the Brahma King who takes Bingyun hostage; Mu Xuanyin's intervention completes the rescue. • Yun Wuxin: As a disciple descended from Frozen Cloud Asgard's tradition, Yun Wuxin first addresses Mu Bingyun as Great Ancestor Master. Mu Bingyun gently declines the distant ancestral title, and Wuxin instead calls her aunt through Mu Xuanyin's bond with Yun Che. Mu Bingyun has no defining personal artifact. She temporarily inherits the Snow Princess Sword and the Ice Phoenix Sect Master's engraved jade when she succeeds Mu Xuanyin, then uses them as emblems of office and relinquishes them when she expects not to return from the Brahma King's custody.
