Mu Xiaolan

Mu Xiaolan, born Situ Lanlan, is Mu Bingyun’s disciple and Yun Che’s early guide in the Snow Song Realm.

Biography

Disciple and palace senior sister

Xiaolan accompanies her poisoned master to Blue Pole Star and, desperate to save her, reveals Mu Bingyun’s identity and connection to Frozen Cloud Asgard. Yun Che’s treatment succeeds, after which she escorts him through the spatial passage to the Snow Song Realm. There she becomes his senior sister in the Thirty-sixth Ice Phoenix Palace, explaining its rules and repeatedly trying—often unsuccessfully—to keep him from provoking stronger disciples. Her initial view of Yun Che as an ignorant lower-realm weakling changes as she witnesses him survive Ji Hanfeng, enter the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, and rise beyond their generation. Years later she remains among the Ice Phoenix disciples, recognizable by the same earnest voice and still willing to speak of the former senior brother despite his feared title as Devil Master. Appearance and personality

Xiaolan is a youthful blue-robed woman whose open expressions readily show tears, pride, worry, or embarrassment. She is kind, dutiful, and deeply attached to Mu Bingyun, though her sheltered confidence can make her underestimate outsiders before evidence corrects her. (Chapters 936–945 and 960)

Abilities and cultivation

She enters the divine way before twenty and is later placed in the middle stage of the Divine Origin Realm. Her Ice Phoenix cultivation lets her withstand the Snow Song Realm’s cold and travel with high-level sect members, but the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake still forces her to circulate all her power merely to resist its aura.
