Yi Seol-Ah
Yi Seol-Ah is a Korean Earthling, the older sister of Yi Sungjin, and an Archer of Valhalla. She enters the Tutorial as a Bronze Mark at eighteen, dies while trying to keep its frightened entrants together, and is restored with the revival medicine found by Yun Seora and administered by Seol Jihu. That second life initially leaves her dependent on stronger protectors, but sustained training and field experience turn her into a Level 6 Aura's Aria contracted to the pinnacle-rank Air Spirit Aura. Her development is defined less by a sudden revelation than by a long transfer of responsibility: Seol first protects and sponsors her, while later expeditions require her to choose, scout, fight, and accept consequences for herself.
Biography
Death and revival in the Tutorial
Yi Seol-Ah arrives in the Tutorial with her sixteen-year-old brother, Yi Sungjin. Although young and frightened, she reacts first when the Gaekgwi attacks the assembly hall, lifting a chair to barricade the door and prompting the other entrants to act. She also intervenes when Kang Seok and Shin Sang-Ah threaten to split the group, rejecting a safer place in Kang's party if it requires abandoning weaker people. Her instinct is therefore communal from her first scene: she is not the strongest entrant, but she tries to make frightened strangers cooperate. (Chapters 4–5)
That intervention places her directly in the Gaekgwi's reach. The creature drags her beneath the floor and kills her despite the group's effort to hold on. When her deceased spirit later encounters Sungjin, she lets him flee rather than trying to keep him beside her through death. Sungjin follows the feeling that his sister wants him to find Seol, and Seol discovers that her spirit has been guiding rather than attacking him. Her conduct distinguishes her from dead relatives who turn on the living and gives Seol reason to treat her death as something that can still be answered. (Chapters 5 and 9)
The revival medicine Yun Seora finds after the Tutorial can restore one recently deceased person. Seol uses it on Seol-Ah, rebuilding her body and returning her fully to life. Seol-Ah thanks both of them, and the event creates two lasting obligations: she and Sungjin feel indebted to Seol as the person who chose to revive her, while they also support Yun Seora because the medicine was originally hers. Seol-Ah's later loyalty thus begins with a concrete second chance, not an unexplained attachment to a more powerful Earthling. (Chapter 9)
Sponsorship and training in the Neutral Zone
After Seol returns injured from the Neutral Zone's Hard mission, Seol-Ah checks on him and invites him to run. She teaches him how to regulate his breathing, easily outpaces him at first, and gives him a routine that clears his thoughts. Seol later recognizes that this small intervention started the physical training he continues throughout the Zone. Their early exchange is reciprocal: he has saved her life, but she is the first of the two to supply a practical method that improves the other's daily discipline. (Chapter 10)
Seol-Ah receives the Archer class and begins perceiving the mana associated with it. Her progress is immediately constrained by the consequences of her early death. She begins the Zone with only forty-six Survival Points, then shares food and time with Sungjin while the siblings help the one-armed Yun Seora. Seol eventually finds Seol-Ah hungry and falling behind, supplies food and points, and tells the siblings to stop treating repayment as a series of dangerous favors. He instead gives them access to Competence and arranges instruction under Jang Maldong's disciple Agnes, converting their gratitude into a structured chance to grow. (Chapters 11 and 13–15)
The siblings accept training harsh enough to leave them crying and exhausted. Seol also asks Hyun Sangmin to protect them from Oh Minyoung's intimidation, then includes them in his final Neutral Zone party and leaves with them. These measures keep Seol-Ah safe during a period when she lacks both points and combat experience, but they also establish the dependence she must later outgrow. Her place beside Seol is earned partly through kindness and endurance, yet it is initially sustained by sponsorship, borrowed authority, and adults who intervene on her behalf. (Chapters 15–17 and 19)
White Rose and the choice of Carpe Diem
Seol-Ah and Sungjin join White Rose after the Neutral Zone. Her Archer aptitude remains visible there: Yun Seora calls her talent excellent, and Seol-Ah reaches Level 2 in roughly three months, a pace treated as unusually fast. Agnes has also judged her capable of becoming a High Ranker. Talent does not translate into a stable home, however. White Rose admits that it has not looked after the siblings well, and their fear of Phi Sora's harsh manner makes the organization increasingly uncomfortable for them. (Chapters 54 and 75–77)
When White Rose prepares to dissolve, other organizations offer materially better terms. Sinyoung is willing to pay four gold coins for Seol-Ah and include Sungjin, but Phi refuses the proposal and contacts Seol. The siblings choose the smaller Carpe Diem rather than a wealthy organization, comparing the former's welcoming thatched house favorably to an imposing palace. The decision is still shaped by Seol's protection, but it is also their first clear institutional choice: they reject the highest bid and select the group where they expect to be treated as people rather than assets. (Chapters 79–80)
Within Carpe Diem, Seol-Ah is recorded as a Level 2 Tracker on the Archer path. She trains under Jang Maldong and asks Ghionea Marcel for the fundamentals needed to advance toward Pathfinder work. She also asks to join the Arden Valley campaign, offering to shoot from the rear and retreat if necessary. Seol refuses because she and Sungjin are still only low-level novices. Her distress while the party is away shows the tension in her new position: she belongs to the team and wants its risks, but the same people who welcomed her continue deciding that she is not ready to share them. (Chapters 80 and 83–85)
A protected junior in Carpe Diem and Valhalla
After the Arden Valley war, Seol-Ah helps attend the gravely injured Seol and falls asleep beside him. She tells him how long Jang Maldong remained awake to preserve his condition, helping Seol understand the labor behind his recovery. The siblings continue Jang's intensive training, but they are again excluded from the Pagoda of Dreams because their level and experience are inadequate for the expedition. These episodes keep Seol-Ah important inside the household without pretending that care work and training have already made her a front-line veteran. (Chapters 94, 105–106, and 113)
Seol-Ah chooses to accompany Carpe Diem's move to Eva and becomes part of the organization that is eventually named Valhalla. During its early establishment she helps with the storefront, attracts customers, joins celebrations, and contributes to the noisy domestic culture around the new headquarters. Her duties in this period are frequently ordinary rather than martial. That ordinary participation matters because it changes her relation to the team from a guest whom Seol rescued into a continuing member with work, training, and a place in its shared life. (Chapters 120, 126–127, 130, and 137)
The protection surrounding her nevertheless produces a growing experience gap. Carpe Diem and Valhalla undertake the Pagoda, the Eva purge, the Spirit Realm expedition, and the defense of Tigol at a scale above what she can safely join. By the time Valhalla formalizes its teams, Seol-Ah is a Level 3 Tracer assigned with Sungjin, Ghionea, and Maria Yeriel under Phi Sora. Her title has advanced, but her limited expedition history remains the practical problem the new team system must solve. (Chapters 126–127, 129–130, 137, 140, 159, and 161)
Independent expeditions and Aura
Phi Sora orders the siblings to seek an adventure outside Valhalla rather than wait for senior members to carry them. Seol-Ah is anxious, struggles to question a prospective expedition leader, and is treated as a child whose organization name is more valuable than her experience. She initially looks for a senior who can secure a place for them, revealing that formal promotion has not yet broken her habit of dependence. Phi's order is harsh, but it forces Seol-Ah to confront the exact skill she lacks: forming judgments and relationships when Valhalla's strongest members are absent. (Chapter 163)
The attempt becomes the beginning of genuine field independence. Sungjin succeeds on an expedition, while Seol-Ah goes to the Federation, contracts a Spirit, and works with its scout team in the dangerous Hiral Mountain Range. She refuses to return until she is close to becoming a High Ranker. More than half a year of scouting and repeated clashes with Parasites raise her to Level 4 and earn her a free pass for the High Ranker examination. She also returns with a scar across her left eye, which she deliberately leaves untreated as a reminder that overconfidence against an Evil Phantom nearly cost her more than the injury. (Chapter 166)
Her new contractor skills have immediate operational value. While Team 1 captures a traitorous bishop, Seol-Ah pursues him through the air, uses a spinning kick to stop his flight, and places an arrow hard enough to leave a deep whirlpool-shaped crater in a wall. Aura moderates her choice of target, demonstrating that the Spirit is a thinking partner rather than a passive power source. Seol-Ah also detects incoming guards and promptly reports them, allowing Phi to change the withdrawal plan and leave Scheherazade with the prisoner. The combination of pursuit, restraint, and timely communication shows the field awareness that her earlier recruiting attempt lacked. (Chapters 170 and 172)
The Imperial Oath and Seol's death
When humanity moves against the Delphinion Duchy laboratory, Seol selects Seol-Ah despite her being only Level 4 because Aura is a pinnacle-rank Air Spirit. After the group secures the Imperial Oath and splits to escape, Seol-Ah travels with Teresa Hussey and Wu Lei. Aura accelerates all three until they run like the wind, giving the group the mobility for which Seol chose her. She is not part of Seol's later solitary stand; her assigned responsibility is to carry the escape plan forward with her group. (Chapters 182–183)
Seol-Ah is among the survivors who see Seol's body return to the fortress. She first spots the figure moving through the rain, then sobs when its wounds reveal that the black smoke is carrying a corpse. During the argument over revival, she searches for a way to use one Divine Wish and healing magic instead of the two wishes the experts believe necessary. When Eun Yuri and Philip Muller explain why that gamble could kill him again, she yields because she cannot guarantee his safety. Her grief does not make her judgment authoritative; the scene instead shows her accepting an answer she hates when responsibility for Seol's one chance is made explicit. (Chapters 188–189)
Aura's Aria and the final war
After Seol returns, he spends captured divinities to accelerate the growth of Valhalla's members. By the post-expedition status check, Seol-Ah has already become a Level 5 High Ranker; Seol's wish promotes her again to Level 6 Aura's Aria. In the Path of the Soul she is one of the few trainees to reach the summit, using Aura and her mobility to negotiate the rolling boulders. The Level 6 promotion is therefore divinely accelerated, but it follows the independent scouting, combat, and High Ranker qualification she accumulated before the wish. (Chapter 194)
In the final campaign, Seol-Ah fights among Valhalla's senior combatants against Twisted Kindness. She uses aerial mobility to avoid an attack, but a returning projectile strikes her; Aura's last-second compression of the air prevents the wound from becoming immediately fatal. She recognizes that the Army Commander is far beyond her individual strength and continues as part of a collective delaying force rather than claiming an equal duel. Later, the World Tree restores her crushed ankles and allows her to return to the battle. (Chapters 197 and 200)
Aura helps accelerate Hugo during the last advance on the Parasite Queen and later brings Seo Yuhui close enough to reinforce Seol's defenses. Seol-Ah herself senses an attack aimed at Seol's back and throws her body into its path, ordering Aura to leave her and continue. She survives the war, while the Seven Sins restore those comrades who do die. Her final contribution completes the reversal of her earliest dependence: the person once revived and repeatedly kept from danger now separates herself from her protector so that her own contracted partner can carry the mission forward. (Chapters 200 and 202)
Peace and the limits of experience
Seol later rewards the siblings by spending contribution points to bring an Elixeer to Earth. Their mother recovers, and Seol watches both children reunite with her. In Paradise, Seol-Ah is confident enough to criticize Seol's behavior, challenge him to a formal running duel, and activate her independent realm, Limit Break, in an attempt to defeat him. She loses decisively, but her serious preparation and willingness to stake five thousand wishes contrast with the novice who once needed another organization member simply to be accepted for an expedition. (Chapters 203, 209, and 220)
Peace does not make her judgment complete. As one of Team 1's two Archers, she can notice an ambush, but she and Ghionea cannot reliably find safe paths or read a battlefield as a dedicated Pathfinder would. A second expedition therefore adds Kazuki Ayase and other specialists. Inside an otherworldly ruin, Aura hears a presence that the humans cannot detect, but the warning does not prevent the entity from capturing and nearly draining Seol-Ah to death. The rescue team recovers her body, and she survives after the attacker is defeated, but the incident demonstrates that a Level 6 class and pinnacle-rank Spirit do not erase gaps in experience or protect her from unknown forms of power. (Chapters 248 and 250–251)
By the latest chapter, Seol-Ah remains alive, active in Valhalla, and close to both her brother and Seol. When Seol brings his parents into Paradise, she greets them with the comic title “Valhalla's mascot, sexy provocative cutie.” The introduction reflects the exuberant persona she developed after returning from the Federation, but it also marks a stable place in the organization: she is no longer introduced through death, debt, or somebody else's offer, but as a veteran member of the household welcoming newcomers into it. (Chapter 253)
Appearance and personality
At summoning, Seol-Ah is eighteen years old, 160.6 centimeters tall, and weighs 49.8 kilograms. She is described as a bright, pretty, frail-looking young woman whose gentle expression fits her behavior. Her initial Status Window identifies her as virtuous, deeply caring, and unconsciously dependent, with a jack-of-all-trades aptitude and the ability to devote all of her concentration to an action. Her quick response at the assembly-hall door and her attempt to mediate the entrants' argument demonstrate that those traits are behavioral descriptions, not merely labels in a window. (Chapters 4–5)
Early Seol-Ah is shy, deferential, and reluctant to speak against forceful personalities. She gives away resources, tries to repay help immediately, and looks for stronger people to guarantee safety. These habits make her generous, but also leave her vulnerable to hunger, institutional neglect, and parties interested mainly in Valhalla's name. Phi Sora's demand that she express an opinion and seek real experience targets this mixture directly. Later Seol-Ah remains emotional and affectionate, but becomes far more willing to joke, complain, challenge Seol, and confront an enemy without waiting for permission. (Chapters 13–16, 75, 163, 166, 209, 217, and 220)
Her Federation service visibly changes her. She cuts her formerly long black hair short because it interferes in combat and returns with a scar running across her left eye. She keeps the scar as a warning against the confidence that led her to lower her guard, while also playfully posing with it and calling herself “sexy” or “provocative.” Her later appearance in a yellow puffer jacket on Earth and her comic mascot introduction show that the theatrical persona persists beyond battle. It is an expression of increased ease and liveliness, not evidence that the compassionate young woman of the Tutorial has disappeared. (Chapters 166, 221, and 253)
Abilities and class
Seol-Ah progresses from Level 0 Invited to Archer, Level 2 Tracker, Level 3 Tracer, Level 4 spirit contractor, Level 5 High Ranker, and finally Level 6 Aura's Aria. The Tracker and Tracer stages develop detection, pursuit, and scouting, while her final class explicitly centers her partnership with Aura. The corpus does not provide a complete final Status Window or define every ability attached to Aura's Aria, so the demonstrated techniques below should not be treated as an exhaustive class list. (Chapters 5, 11, 80, 161, 166, and 194)
Archery, pursuit, and scouting
Seol-Ah uses a bow at range but is not limited to stationary rear-line shooting. She can pursue a fleeing target in the air, kick while rotating in flight, and place an arrow with enough force to excavate a deep crater around the point of impact. Her high concentration and repeated running practice support accurate movement under pressure. She also notices approaching guards soon enough to change Team 1's escape plan and can detect an attempted ambush during later expeditions. (Chapters 5, 10, 170, 172, and 248)
Her scouting remains narrower than that of a mature Pathfinder. Team 1's later assessment distinguishes detecting an ambush from finding a safe route or reading an unfamiliar battlefield. Seol-Ah can perform the first task with Ghionea, but lacks sufficient experience in the latter two, requiring specialists to join the expedition. Her Level 3 title of Tracer therefore records genuine development without proving mastery of every branch of Archer fieldcraft. (Chapters 161 and 248)
Aura and air manipulation
Aura is a contracted pinnacle-rank Spirit of Air whom Seol-Ah obtains through the Federation with help arranged by Phi Sora and Ghionea. Aura can carry Seol-Ah through the air, accelerate her or a group until they move like the wind, compress air defensively around her body, and support other allies' movement. The Spirit also perceives phenomena humans may miss, speaks to Seol-Ah, objects to unnecessarily lethal shots, and can continue assisting others when Seol-Ah is separated from her. These scenes establish Aura as an independent partner with judgment, not an innate technique or a mindless extension of the Archer. (Chapters 166, 170, 182–183, 197, 200, and 248)
The partnership has limits. Aura's defense reduces a wound from Twisted Kindness but does not prevent Seol-Ah from being struck, and its warning in the otherworldly ruin cannot identify or stop the hostile entity. A malignant imitation or corruption of Aura appears to drag Seol-Ah through the ruin, but the corpus does not establish that the real Spirit willingly attacks her. The exact mana cost, operating range, and independent duration of Aura's abilities are not stated. (Chapters 197, 248, and 250)
Running and Limit Break
Running is Seol-Ah's most persistent non-weapon discipline. She begins as an experienced enough runner to teach Seol breathing and pace in the Neutral Zone, later uses Aura to compound her acceleration, and develops a precise starting form and controlled mana explosion for speed. Her independent realm, Limit Break, further accelerates her body during the formal race with Seol, even at the risk of breaking her ankles. (Chapters 10 and 220)
The race also supplies a clear ceiling. Seol completes multiple circuits while Seol-Ah is still finishing one, showing that Limit Break does not bring her close to his postwar speed. The technique places a heavy burden on her legs, and the narrative does not show it as a general increase to archery, perception, or durability. It is best understood as her specialized culmination of running and air-assisted acceleration rather than an unrestricted transformation. (Chapter 220)
Power progression

Relationships
Seol Jihu
Seol revives Seol-Ah, supplies resources when her generosity leaves her hungry, arranges her training and protection, and gives her a home in Carpe Diem. She calls him Orabeo-nim and treats him as an older brother and benefactor. Their bond is not one-directional: her running advice initiates his Neutral Zone fitness routine, and her later battlefield support helps protect and accelerate him. Seol-Ah's growth is partly the process of becoming capable of returning the care that first kept her alive. (Chapters 9–15, 79–80, 166, and 200)
Seol's protection can also delay that growth. He repeatedly excludes her from missions above her level, while she worries that he does not pay attention to her and seeks occasions to prove herself. By the postwar period she can criticize and challenge him directly, yet still asks for an Earth reunion because continued contact matters more than winning the wager. Seol describes her as his one and only cute little sister; the supplied corpus does not establish a romantic relationship between them. (Chapters 84–85, 163, 209, 217, and 220)
Yi Sungjin
Seol-Ah and Sungjin enter the Tutorial together and consistently make decisions as siblings. She lets him flee when she is dead, while he follows her guidance to find Seol and participates in her revival. In the Neutral Zone they share food, debt, training, recruitment, and concern for Yun Seora. Their closeness remains a strength, but treating themselves as an inseparable unit also contributes to their initial difficulty making independent plans. (Chapters 4–17, 19, and 163)
Both eventually acquire careers of their own without abandoning the partnership. Sungjin succeeds on a separate expedition while Seol-Ah trains with the Federation, and their later promotions follow different class paths. They remain on Team 1 and reunite with their healed mother together. Seol-Ah continues to act as the older sister socially, although Sungjin is often the one who restrains or corrects her more exuberant behavior. (Chapters 161, 166, 194, 203, 221, and 253)
Phi Sora
Phi Sora is first associated with the siblings' fear and dissatisfaction in White Rose. Her harsh speech makes Seol-Ah suspect exploitation even after both join Valhalla, and Seol protects the siblings from her interference during their first days in Carpe Diem. As Team 1's leader, however, Phi forces Seol-Ah to stop waiting for senior members, sends her toward real field experience, and arranges the Federation connection that produces Aura. Their relationship changes from fear and distrust into an abrasive form of mentorship. (Chapters 75–80, 161, 163, and 166)
The later pair imitate, argue with, and care for each other. Seol-Ah copies Phi's feigned indifference while bringing her favorite fruit, and Phi complains while still monitoring Seol-Ah's progress and defending her when Seol makes her cry. Their affection is expressed through scolding and parody rather than formal gratitude, but Seol-Ah's Level 4 breakthrough is directly connected to opportunities Phi helped create. (Chapters 166 and 220–221)
Ghionea Marcel, Jang Maldong, and Yun Seora
Ghionea provides Seol-Ah with Archer fundamentals when she begins the Tracker path and later helps arrange her Spirit contract. He becomes both a senior model and a fellow Team 1 Archer. Their later expedition assessment is candid about the pair's shared limitation: both can detect an ambush, but neither fully replaces a Pathfinder. Jang Maldong supplies the physical and technical foundation beneath that field career, training the siblings until he judges that experience rather than more instruction is what they need. (Chapters 80, 83, 161, 163, 166, and 248)
Yun Seora's revival medicine is the material cause of Seol-Ah's second life, even though Seol is the person who administers it. Seol-Ah and Sungjin support Yun Seora through the Neutral Zone afterward, giving her food and assistance when she has lost an arm. Their gratitude becomes self-destructive when they neglect their own needs, but the relationship explains why Seol-Ah's early generosity cannot be reduced to simple passivity: she is actively trying to honor a debt to another vulnerable entrant. (Chapters 9 and 13–15)
Items
Seol-Ah uses bows and arrows as the ordinary equipment of her Archer classes, but the scoped corpus does not assign her a named signature weapon or other personal item with a separate catalog entry. Aura is a contracted Spirit and partner rather than an item. Her demonstrated advancement is tied to training, class promotion, and that contract, not to a uniquely identified bow or artifact. (Chapters 11, 80, 166, 170, and 194)
