Kang Seok

Kang Seok is a Silver Mark participant in Area 1’s Tutorial. Charismatic but self-centered and sadistic, he organizes followers, attacks Yun Seora for Survival Points, and dies after the Tutorial safe zone rejects him. A failed-future counterpart later appears as a Parasitized enemy, but that timeline does not change the main Kang Seok’s early death. (Chapters 4–8, 195)

Biography

Tutorial

Kang Seok uses his gift for speech to gather Yi Hyungsik, Jeong Minwoo, and other participants around himself. He tries to control access to safety, then attacks and cripples Yun Seora so he can steal the points needed to survive. Other participants thwart the plan and knock him unconscious; because he lacks the required points when the deadline arrives, the safe zone rejects him and a Gaekgwi consumes him. His death follows directly from the coercive system he tried to impose on others. (Chapters 4–8)

Unrealized and failed futures

Gula later says that Kang Seok could have become the “Constellation Killer” in a previous possible future, but his Tutorial death prevents that development in the main continuity. In the distinct failed future reached much later, a Parasitized Kang Seok blames Black Seol Jihu for the Spirit Realm expedition’s failure and is killed by him. These references describe unrealized or alternate outcomes, not abilities possessed by the main-continuity Tutorial participant. (Chapters 100, 195)

Appearance and personality

Kang Seok is a twenty-nine-year-old man with a masculine face, a loud voice, and hair slicked back from the front. He likes occupying the center of a group and is effective at forceful public speech. His status record explicitly describes him as a maverick and self-centered, with a sadistic aptitude; his conduct toward weaker Tutorial participants bears out those labels. (Chapters 4, 8)

Abilities and class

His Status Window lists him as a Level 0 Invited with a Silver Mark, not as a developed Paradise combat class. He has a Gift of Gab and comparatively notable endurance, but his other physical attributes remain low or undeveloped. His starting bonus consists of paper talismans. The later “Constellation Killer” title is only a statement about a path that did not occur in this continuity. (Chapter 8)

• Yun Seora: Kang Seok attacks and disables her to steal Survival Points, making her the clearest victim of his Tutorial faction. (Chapters 7–8)
• Yi Hyungsik and Jeong Minwoo: They serve as his principal followers during the Tutorial. (Chapters 4–8)
• Shin Sang-Ah: Kang Seok tries to intimidate and coerce her, contributing to the conflict that ends with his defeat. (Chapters 7–8)
