Twisted Kindness

Twisted Kindness is the Parasites' Seventh Army Commander, the last surviving member of the Dragon race, and the Parasite Queen's most experienced divine combatant. Unlike the other original Commanders, she needs no personal army: her Dragon body, martial skill, magic, and complete control of absorbed divinity make her a one-being military force. She is proud enough to seek satisfying battles and contemptuous of weakness, but she is also a disciplined strategist who can retreat, sacrifice an ally, or abandon personal vengeance when the wider war requires it. That combination makes her the Parasites' true second-in-command and the final Commander defeated in the main war.

Biography

The last Dragon and the siege of the Spirit Realm

Twisted Kindness enters the story indirectly as the crisis behind the Pagoda of Dreams expedition. Acting alone under the Parasites, she has invaded the Spirit Realm and pressed its defenders so severely that their summons into Paradise are becoming unstable. The Spirit Realm has not fallen, but the Sky Fairies conclude that it cannot withstand her indefinitely and seek a powerful Spirit from the Pagoda as reinforcement. The campaign establishes why she does not command a conventional army: the sole survivor of an extinct race, she is described as an Army Commander of unparalleled destructive power who functions as an army by herself. The supplied corpus identifies her as the last and strongest surviving Dragon, but does not establish her original name or the precise circumstances in which she entered the Queen's service. (Chapters 107, 120, 145, 147)

Her place among the Parasites rests on more than species. She alone among the original seven Commanders fully accepts a Seven Virtue's divinity into herself; only the later Sung Shihyun reproduces the feat. Complete assimilation removes the instability that afflicts Commanders such as Raging Temperance, lets her choose between humanoid and Dragon forms, and gives her refined control acquired long before Sung's conversion. The Queen therefore treats her with a respect not extended to the other Commanders and entrusts her with threats considered too important for them. When the Queen plans the Tigol Fortress offensive, she holds Twisted Kindness back for a separate assignment concerning the Star of Lust. The Spirit Realm battle

Twisted Kindness reaches the Spirit Realm battlefield just as Seol's expedition is close to neutralizing Raging Temperance. She immediately humiliates the Fourth Commander for trying to imitate her complete absorption of divinity without possessing the capacity to do so. In her view, Temperance's refusal to use the remnant power to form an army has converted greed into a strategic liability. She claims jurisdiction over the campaign and initially offers the exhausted expedition time to recover, swearing on her name and the Dragon God's honor that she will not attack during the rest. The offer is not mercy: she wants a fight worthy of her reputation and is curious whether Seol will continue along the course she expects from his fate. When he refuses, she defeats the expedition's opening assault with physical movement alone, deliberately leaving its members alive to demonstrate the difference between them. (Chapters 145–146)

That confidence changes as the battle supplies evidence she did not expect. Seol Jihu and Baek Haeju adapt to her efficient movement, the rest of the expedition repeatedly interferes, and the World Tree begins reviving. Twisted Kindness responds pragmatically: she draws her twin swords, releases divinity, and even orders the despised Temperance to help. When Temperance's unstable Divinity Manifestation makes him attack allies and enemies alike, she first intends to let him destroy the expedition and then perish. The Promise of Temperance instead directs his rampage against her, forcing her into a divine battle she cannot simply avoid while the World Tree grows. She ultimately uses the Six Domains of the Desire Realm and a gate to the Spiritual Dimension to separate his stolen divinity from his Darkshini body. The solution kills Temperance and prevents his uncontrolled energy from destroying her, but the recoil leaves her bleeding, cracked, and nearly exhausted. (Chapters 146–147)

Even in that condition, Twisted Kindness judges Seol a greater future threat than the World Tree and tries to kill him with her true Dragon form. Little Chick, temporarily evolved into an adult Arcus phoenix, blocks her breath and exposes a crucial incompatibility: sacred phoenix fire continually rekindles on the bones she corrupted by accepting an evil attribute. Twisted Kindness recognizes that she cannot quickly defeat this natural counter while weakened, and the World Tree's return adds an even greater hostile power. She chooses retreat, but first tries to recover Temperance's divinity so that the Queen can replace the lost Commander. Seo Yuhui, Baek Haeju, the phoenix, and the rest of the expedition slow her, allowing Urara Hoshino to seize the orb. Twisted Kindness nearly gives in to anger and pursues Urara, then refuses the second provocation and escapes through her collapsing spatial rift. Her failure saves the Spirit Realm, deprives the Parasites of Temperance's divinity, and helps turn the concurrent Tigol campaign against them. (Chapters 147–149)

The loss does not make her dismiss the opposition. Later reflections emphasize that the expedition did not defeat her through ordinary parity: Seol's awakening, Temperance's defection, the World Tree's revival, and the phoenix's evolution all had to coincide. Twisted Kindness nevertheless learns the strategic lesson. The aftermath establishes that she will not again test Seol with physical force alone, and her later conduct confirms it. She continues to admire efficient combat and wants to fight him properly, but no longer lets that desire outweigh the Queen's warning that pressure can accelerate the Brightest Star's growth. The Imperial Oath trap

At Scheherazade, Twisted Kindness joins Exploding Patience and Vulgar Chastity against Seol. She opens with Six Domains lightning capable of burning a divine being, predicts where Ethereal Shift will place him, and nearly bisects him before a World Tree blessing phases him into the Spirit Realm. His counter wounds her forearm with several mutually reinforcing anti-evil effects, and the injury resists the rapid recovery that complete assimilation would normally provide. Rather than deny the result, she diagnoses the combination—Godslaying Authority, the Spear of Purity, lightning, Righteous Heart, and an enhanced mana circuit—and concludes that Seol has become a purpose-built counter to the Parasites. She urges the others to abandon the secondary objective and kill him immediately, converting an injury to her pride into a strategic warning. (Chapter 179)

During the wider Imperial Oath operation, she pursues one of the escaping groups and overtakes Philip Muller even after repeated Teleports and a Special Thunder. Eun Yuri contaminates her magic circle and simultaneously teleports the group away, earning Twisted Kindness's interest and marking the Mage as a potential second Brightest Star. A command concerning the central trap makes her stop the pursuit, however. That decision illustrates her hierarchy of priorities: curiosity and a promising kill matter less than assembling where the Queen needs her. (Chapter 183)

Twisted Kindness and Sung then observe Seol fighting for days while the other Commanders exhaust him. She is startled that his mind and body endure beyond her calculations and becomes fascinated when his movement approaches an almost perfectly efficient union of mind, technique, and body. She warns Vulgar Chastity not to enter because Seol would kill her even in his depleted state. Twisted Kindness wants to test herself against that development, but recognizes that doing so could become another stimulus for his growth and goes to the prepared battlefield instead. Her competitive instinct has not disappeared; it is now subordinated to the plan. (Chapter 186)

In the final encirclement, she and Sung operate as a coordinated pair. His relentless close-range attacks monopolize Seol's attention while she supplies blood-colored lightning and prepared magic from a distance. She uses a clone as apparent bait, remains concealed, and impales both men when Seol's double-layered counter catches Sung. She is dissatisfied that two Commanders must cooperate against an exhausted human, yet insists that war is decided by results rather than the purity of a duel. When Seol's transformation gives him the upper hand, she later carries Sung away, uses him to draw pursuit, and completes a Teleport before Seol can reach them. The full Parasite force and Queen ultimately kill Seol, but the pressure instead produces the evolved Brightest Star they had feared. (Chapters 186–190)

Invasion and the final war

While Seol is absent, Twisted Kindness and Exploding Patience lead the simultaneous attack on Caligo. The wider offensive destroys Odor and pushes the human-Federation defense back to Haramark; Twisted Kindness occupies the route between Odor and Eva to delay reinforcements. She retreats with the other Commanders once the returned Seol reverses the invasion, rather than joining Sung's losing fight at Haramark. This preserves her as the chief gatekeeper of the Parasites for the coalition's later assault on the Empire. (Chapters 189–192)

In the decisive war, Twisted Kindness holds the center and studies the coalition rather than rushing out while its full design is still unclear. When Valhalla breaks toward her position, she tries to stop Seol with a space-burning magical attack, but Little Chick again blocks her path. Valhalla, the phoenix, and Baek Haeju do not expect to defeat her immediately; they coordinate simply to keep her from reinforcing the other battlefields. She responds by releasing her true form and Dragon Roar, then continues holding an advantage even while the other Commanders' fronts collapse. The containment is strategically decisive nonetheless: the coalition destroys Commanders and Nests elsewhere because the Parasites' strongest subordinate cannot leave the center. (Chapters 195–199)

By the time reinforcements arrive, Twisted Kindness has suffered only minor wounds and remains confident against overwhelming numbers. She correctly calculates that her own chance of surviving has fallen close to zero, but the Queen's continued intervention tells her that the Parasites still have a possible path to victory. Abandoning escape, she returns to humanoid form for a smaller target profile and declares that she will take at least half the coalition with her. For more than an hour she fights roughly a thousand enemies, treating her death as a final battlefield duty rather than surrendering once the campaign turns. (Chapter 200)

Her defeat requires several counters acting together. The revived World Tree heals and empowers the coalition while suppressing her corrupted energy; Philip's Manifestation restrains her divinity; anti-evil origin magic, the phoenix's sacred fire, Baek Haeju, and waves of soldiers exhaust her remaining resources. Even then, she turns her last surge of divinity into twelve Dragon-shaped masses, destroys groups of Spirits, and uses her apparent collapse as a trap for Baek Haeju. Baek's spear reaches her heart only because Seo Yuhui's barrier stops the simultaneous killing stroke. Twisted Kindness remains standing until her body dissolves, leaving Kindness's divinity behind for Philip to recover. Her death removes the Parasites' final Army Commander and leaves the Queen without a subordinate able to control the collapsing center. (Chapter 200)

Alternate continuity and legacy

The later “IF” chapters depict a separate hypothetical branch in which Seol accepts conversion and becomes the Fourth Army Commander. Twisted Kindness survives in that continuity and initially treats him with guarded curiosity. Her fierce competitiveness makes her agree to a promised battle after a game of Omok; Seol exploits her pride, defeats her repeatedly, and leaves her in tears, but she studies the board afterward rather than abandoning the challenge. She also supports discussion of his military reforms and accepts him as a fellow Commander once his conduct benefits the Parasites. These scenes develop the playful and socially awkward side of traits that are lethal in the main story, but they do not reverse her canonical death. (Chapters 243–246)

In the canonical later material, Twisted Kindness remains a measure of exceptional anti-evil combat. Little Chick's ability to stand against her is invoked when judging whether it can fight another corrupted divine opponent. At the latest supplied point, she remains deceased; appearances after Chapter 200 are hypothetical scenes, recollections, or comparisons rather than a resurrection. (Chapters 243–246, 250)

Appearance and personality

Twisted Kindness's preferred humanoid form is a woman with ivory- or gray-colored hair flowing like a waterfall and red reptilian eyes with vertical pupils. A long tail extends from her sacrum, two horns rise from her head, and large wings can be extended or withdrawn from her back. Her otherwise elegant bearing contrasts with these unmistakably draconic features. She fights with smooth, economical motion that can make overwhelming violence appear graceful, and her composed posture is repeatedly compared to that of a war goddess or a figure skater. (Chapters 120, 145–147, 200, 245)

Her true body is an almost ten-meter-long Bone Dragon. The skeletal form is not merely a projection produced by released divinity: it is the real Dragon body beneath her humanoid shape, altered when she accepted an evil attribute. She can change forms quietly because her divine power is already under control, and in the final battle she deliberately returns to the smaller humanoid body when its reduced target profile is more useful. Damage can eventually force blood and ragged wounds through either presentation, but even near death she remains upright and physically dangerous. (Chapters 147–148, 197, 200)

Pride is her most visible trait. She considers Dragons a higher order of existence, despises Commanders whose claims exceed their ability, and wants opponents in sufficient condition to make victory meaningful. Her first offer to let Seol's group rest is therefore both honorable and twisted: she keeps her oath, but only because she wants a more satisfying annihilation. She can be baited through humiliation, particularly by Urara, and the alternate branch shows that she hates concessions that imply pity. Her pride is paired with sincere competitive curiosity; exceptional magic or combat efficiency attracts her attention even when displayed by an enemy. (Chapters 146–148, 179, 183, 186, 245–246)

She is nevertheless more self-aware than her arrogance initially suggests. Twisted Kindness habitually thinks in terms of resources, output, efficiency, and the objective of a war. She acknowledges unfavorable matchups, asks an inferior ally for help when necessary, retreats before a closing route becomes impossible, and accepts that superior collective tactics have doomed her. Even her last stand is calculated: she understands that she cannot leave alive, looks for the action that might still change the result, and stays lucid enough to set a mutual-kill trap at the point of death. Anger can disrupt her briefly, but it does not normally erase her strategic discipline. (Chapters 146–149, 179, 186, 198–200)

Her loyalty centers on the Parasite Queen. She obeys private assignments, is ashamed to return after losing another Commander's divinity, and converts personal grudges into service of the Queen's military priorities. The corpus does not explain whether this loyalty began before or after she accepted Kindness's divinity, nor does it show the exact terms of her conversion. What it does demonstrate is that she regards the Queen's recognition as meaningful even when she freely insults other Commanders, and that she chooses a nearly hopeless last stand once the Queen signals there is still a chance to win. Abilities and class

Twisted Kindness has no displayed Earthling Status Window or numbered class. Her capabilities derive from three integrated sources: her innate Dragon body, Kindness's absorbed divinity and an accepted evil attribute, and learned martial and magical technique. The narration calls the Army Commanders imitations of gods rather than true deities, including Twisted Kindness; complete assimilation gives her extraordinary control over borrowed divinity, but does not make its source innately hers. (Chapters 120, 138, 147–148, 179, 190, 198, 200)

Dragon body and complete divine assimilation

Dragons are described as a half-god race, and Twisted Kindness was the strongest Dragon to survive the race's extinction. Her baseline body supplies enormous strength, speed, reactions, durability, flight, and sensory awareness. In humanoid form she stops sword qi with an unmarked forearm, catches weapons barehanded, returns an arrow with her tail, and defeats a coordinated group with only the movements necessary for each exchange. At peak flight she continues widening the distance from Seol even after three Festina accelerations. These are demonstrated physical capabilities, not effects that require a visible Divinity Release. (Chapters 120, 145–148)

Complete absorption lets her store and use Kindness's divinity without the leakage and madness suffered by Temperance. Her release is quiet and immediately shaped rather than explosively uncontrolled. She can emit raw divinity as crushing force, reinforce attacks and defense, manifest Dragon-shaped energy, and decide which body to maintain. Unlike the Commanders who require nearly a year to recover after a full release, she and Sung are stated exceptions because they have assimilated their power. Long experience gives her much better control and utilization than Sung during the final war, even though his potential is assessed as higher. (Chapters 138, 142, 147, 190, 198, 200)

Assimilation does not remove expenditure or recoil. Large emissions consume her finite resources, and using the Six Domains together with a dimensional gate tears her body apart from within. The World Tree and divine restraint can suppress her output enough to make formerly invisible movements readable, while sustained fighting eventually exhausts even her reserve divinity. Anti-evil attacks also interfere with recovery: Seol's combined Godslaying, purity, lightning, and Righteous Heart effects leave an arm wound that repeatedly reopens instead of healing at once. Martial combat and tactical technique

Twisted Kindness is an all-rounder who is elite at both close and long range. Her hand-to-hand style uses wings, tail, limbs, and wind pressure as parts of one continuous system. She changes altitude or angle with minimal preparation, uses a tail strike while both hands are occupied, and can redirect an incoming projectile without breaking her flow. Her governing principle is resource efficiency: expend the smallest movement and force needed for the largest result, then continually revise the calculation as an opponent reveals new resources. This is why Seol's growth during the Spirit Realm battle disturbs her more than a single powerful technique. (Chapters 146–147, 186)

Her primary weapons are a pair of blood-colored swords. She can block attacks arriving from several directions, project sword qi, fight with either conventional or reverse grips, and combine the blades with spellcasting. Her perception and preparation are equally dangerous. At Scheherazade she predicts Seol's Ethereal Shift destination; during the later trap she hides behind a prepared clone and times a single thrust through both Seol and Sung; at her death she adjusts her heart away from Baek Haeju's spear while launching a simultaneous counter. Those examples are learned combat judgment rather than automatic precognition. They can fail when an opponent presents unfamiliar movement, forces too many simultaneous decisions, or conceals the decisive layer of a plan. (Chapters 147, 179, 186, 197, 200)

Magic, clones, and spatial movement

Twisted Kindness can generate magic circles rapidly from her hands, around weapons, or across the battlefield. Demonstrated applications include colored offensive spells, tracking orbs, rays, defensive reinforcement, wind-assisted flight, and hundreds of simultaneous circles used to contest Seol's lightning. Her blood-colored lightning has enough force to threaten divine targets, but its projectiles are not unlimited and coordinated close-range pressure can deny her time to build an ideal formation. In the final war she recreates circles while sword fighting and breathing fire, showing that parallel combat is normal for her rather than a temporary enhancement. (Chapters 147, 179, 183, 186, 195, 197, 200)

She also uses Teleport and dimensional passage. Teleport allows her to evade a returning spear, appear beyond the endpoint of another group's escape, and extract Sung at the last instant. She can split space to open a route between the Spirit Realm and Paradise, although the larger rift takes energy, can be impeded by the World Tree, and closes if she delays. Eun Yuri demonstrates that a sufficiently skilled Mage can contaminate a magic circle and stop its spell from manifesting, while battlefield pressure can prevent Twisted Kindness from finding an opening to Teleport at all. Her clone is demonstrated during the Imperial Oath ambush. She uses Sung's pressure to prepare it, leaves the false body as a target capable of appearing to Teleport, and hides until Seol commits to the counter. The duplicate dissolves like mist when cut. The scene does not establish that it can independently sustain her full abilities or remain active without prior preparation, so its confirmed use is deception and target substitution rather than a second autonomous Twisted Kindness. Six Domains of the Desire Realm

Six Domains of the Desire Realm is Twisted Kindness's highest named magical art. She melts her twin swords into blood-like liquid to form two symbol-filled circles. The airborne hexagram calls blood-colored lightning from the Six Domains, a heaven of the Desire Realm, while the ground circle can be opened as a devouring portal. Against Raging Temperance, the lightning arrests his manifested god-form; the second circle draws out the Darkshini body through a door to the Spiritual Dimension while the Six Domains traps the divinity. Separating the fused energies causes the body to return to its origin and leaves the divinity as an orb. (Chapter 147)

The art also has a purely offensive application. At Scheherazade, six bolts launched from a hexagram target Seol and are described as capable of incinerating gods; he survives by intercepting them with thousands of lightning bolts rather than taking the hit. Later, Twisted Kindness creates hundreds of crimson circles while invoking the art against Hell Severing. Its scale is therefore adjustable, but the dimensional separation performed on Temperance is the clearest demonstration of its full mechanics. That use comes with severe recoil: borrowing power from the Desire Realm while forcefully opening a second dimension makes her vomit a large volume of blood, cracks her skin, and consumes enough resources to change the rest of the battle. True Dragon form, roar, and breath

Revealing her true Bone Dragon body changes physical output because a Dragon and a humanoid vessel are fundamentally different bodies; it does not suddenly multiply her already controlled divinity. In that form, Dragon Roar imposes an instinctive demand for obedience on living beings, knocks fighters down, and can disrupt an active spellcaster. She follows it with a concentrated breath of light that crosses hundreds of meters and ignites the surrounding area even without touching the ground. Later battles show shorter draconic breaths and twelve breath-like beams fired from divided bodies or images, as well as ordinary body slams and tail attacks. (Chapters 147, 197, 200)

The form's size and corrupted attribute create exploitable limits. It is a large target, and Twisted Kindness returns to human shape when fighting a massed army makes that disadvantage important. Little Chick's sacred flames are the polar opposite of her evil energy: they consume contamination in her breath, melt her bones, and rekindle when she tries to extinguish them. She believes she could defeat the phoenix from the beginning at full strength, but cannot do so quickly after the Six Domains recoil. This is her own tactical assessment, not a demonstrated victory. The phoenix is therefore a highly effective counter, not proof that any sacred flame automatically overpowers her. (Chapters 147–148, 197, 200)

Endurance, recovery, and defeat conditions

Twisted Kindness can fight through sword and spear wounds, sacred fire, magical bombardment, and the internal recoil of dimensional magic. Her divine body normally recovers minor injuries rapidly, and her last battle lasts more than an hour after Valhalla has already spent considerable time containing her. At the point where allied pressure finally wounds her heart, ordinary damage alone is still not enough: the narration attributes the kill to the accumulated effect of the World Tree's suppression, Philip's restraint, divine and anti-evil attacks, and continuous attrition. (Chapters 147–148, 179, 197–200)

Her demonstrated counters fall into four categories. Anti-evil power damages her corrupted body and slows regeneration; the Arcus phoenix is an attribute-level opponent that can consume her energy; divine or World Tree restraints reduce the physical advantage created by her divinity; and coordinated attackers can consume resources faster than she can remove them. None of these works as an effortless answer in isolation. She survives the Spirit Realm because she retreats before the World Tree joins directly, and in the final war a coalition of thousands still suffers heavy losses before Baek Haeju, supported by Seo Yuhui, reaches the accumulated killing blow. • Parasite Queen: The Queen treats Twisted Kindness with unusual respect and trusts her with the Spirit Realm, the Star of Lust, and the final center defense. Twisted Kindness may grumble about boring orders, but she consistently places the Queen's objectives above personal preference. Her shame at losing Temperance's divinity and her choice to die once the Queen signals that victory remains possible show that this is a genuine command loyalty, not merely fear. The supplied chapters do not explain how their relationship began. (Chapters 142, 147–148, 175, 183, 195–200)
• Seol Jihu: Seol first interests her as an opponent whose fate and growth do not follow ordinary calculations. She gives him a chance to recover, then learns that pressure makes him acquire new techniques and resources during battle. After the Spirit Realm, admiration and competitive desire remain, but she treats killing him as a strategic necessity. Their conflict becomes a contest between her ideal of perfect resource efficiency and his capacity to develop under adversity.
