Seo Yuhui

Seo Yuhui is Luxuria's Executor, the leading Priest of her generation, and one of the people whose response to a ruined future makes Seol Jihu's second chance possible. She begins the present timeline as a retired legend who approaches him for reasons she cannot fully explain, becomes a Level 8 Atera's Saintess, and repeatedly places her reputation, power, and life between him and disaster. Her support is not passive devotion: she chooses when to conceal information, when to oppose Seol's self-sacrifice, when to reclaim and reform her Order, and when to enter battles that others consider unwinnable. By the end of the main war she is a Level 9 Saint Empress, and the side stories establish her as Seol's wife, the mother of their daughter Jihui, and a continuing frontline healer when Paradise is threatened again.

Biography

The Banquet and the dissonant future

Seo Yuhui had already become a legend before Seol's present career began. As the Daughter of Luxuria, she and Sung Shihyun once led the Temple of Luxuria at the height of its influence. Their falling-out ended that partnership: Sung Shihyun went to Sinyoung, while Seo retired from Paradise because the attributes she shared with Luxuria—especially an intensifying lust—had become difficult to endure. She rejected the Order's attempts to recall her, objecting both to its coercive caste politics and to its use of scarce healing as leverage over other organizations. Although she resigned, Luxuria allowed her to retain the Apostle's Authorities, leaving her a retired Executor in name but still the center of the Order's internal struggle. (Chapters 49–50, 171)

Her concern for Seol originates in the failed future later revealed through Future Vision. In that history, Seo first met the disgraced Seol while accompanying Baek Haeju, helped send him away from a dangerous expedition, and later became his partner after he rescued her from the Parasites. They searched for a way to save Baek Haeju and came to rely on one another, but Seol eventually left Seo behind for a mission from which he never returned. At humanity's final battlefield, Seo found his corpse and learned that Gula had granted his desire to send his regret into the past. She spent her own offerings, a holy artifact, and a captured divinity to make the same request. Gula warned that only fragmentary emotions would return as a dream, not a complete memory, and Seo accepted that limit. (Chapter 185)

The present Seo therefore wakes with intense longing and a few names and impressions, but without certainty that she truly saw another timeline. She writes down what she remembers and waits rather than treating the dream as infallible prophecy. Confirmation comes when Yoo Seonhwa, acting in Paradise as Baek Haeju, asks her to protect a new Earthling named Seol Jihu and Seo discovers Future Vision in her own Status Window. Her first on-page meeting with Seol at Scheherazade is thus both a reunion and a new encounter: she recognizes the face from her dream, questions him about his dangerous conduct, and soon relocates to Haramark to watch over him. She remains careful about revealing why, because the future has already diverged and because she does not want inherited emotion to erase the agency of her present self. (Chapters 34–35, 185)

That caution shapes the Banquet. After learning Seol will participate, Seo spends a Divine Wish to enter an event she has already cleared, accepting restrictions on her power and identity in exchange for serving as his concealed guard. She works as an apparently ordinary Priest, introduces Maria to the allied team, and contributes within the imposed limits rather than overriding the other participants. When her hood falls after the final stage, she reveals herself as the Daughter of Luxuria and explains that her exceptional re-entry prohibited open use of her full strength. The experience brings her into Seol's circle on terms other than remote protection: the group sees an Executor who cooks, shares discomfort, and treats lower-ranked Earthlings as companions rather than subordinates. (Chapters 60–61, 72–73)

Arden Valley and the price of Extrema

Seo initially returns from the Banquet as a Level 7 Priest seeking the conditions for her next class advancement. She already has the necessary experience and contribution, but advancement requires the ancient saintess tokens Proof of Castitas and Proof of Devotion, plus a one-stage increase to her Luck. She offers Seol the Flower of Soma, whose anti-evil power he needs, in exchange for those proofs and a Divine Elixir of Luck. The exchange is materially fair and also advances their mutual dependence: Seol repays some of the care she has given him, while Seo equips him with the power that will become decisive against the Parasites. She verifies the two proofs by their undiminished holiness, drinks the elixir, and returns reluctantly to the main temple because only its holy item can complete her advancement. (Chapters 79, 82–84)

At Arden Valley, Seo has reclaimed her position and becomes the second Level 8 Earthling in Paradise, with the class Atera's Saintess. She does not merely remain behind the lines. Requiem of Stars spreads holy territory across the battlefield, harms Parasite troops, and contests Vulgar Chastity's corrupt energy; her barriers hold back attacks capable of erasing groups of combatants; and her mass healing stabilizes the wounded so ordinary high-level cures can finish the work. These interventions consume her power quickly. She staggers after wide-area spells and continues treating people despite exhaustion, demonstrating that even the greatest Priest cannot erase the resource and bodily costs of a large battle. (Chapters 90–92)

When Seol destroys Undying Diligence at the cost of his own body, conventional healing cannot save him. Seo refuses the advice to let him die and uses Future Vision's emergency guidance to perform a Ceremony she has never properly studied. By offering treasures and pleading with Luxuria, the Level 8 Atera's Saintess temporarily accesses the Level 9 ancient spell Extrema. The spell transfers half the caster's life force to its target and makes the caster bear half the target's pain; it can force death to recede, but it does not repair the underlying damage. Seo nearly dies, and Seol still requires Jang Maldong's acupuncture, Baek Haeju's assistance, the Federation's Elixeer, and months of recovery. (Chapters 93–95, 185)

Extrema changes Seo as well as Seol. She tells him that the transferred life force must circulate and become his, producing an attraction toward its original owner as a temporary side effect, but minimizes the danger she personally faced so he will not drown in guilt. More seriously, she borrowed more divine power than the Ceremony permitted. Her body recovers enough for ordinary life, but almost all her combat and healing abilities are sealed, reducing her practical output to that of a Level 1 or 2 Priest. The debt can be repaid through offerings rich in holy power or gradually through prayer. This loss turns her from an untouchable legend into a politically vulnerable woman, yet it also gives her a new choice: whether to return to the Order that failed her or accept Seol's offer of protection and build a life beside Carpe Diem. (Chapters 95, 103, and 105)

A powerless life, Valhalla, and restored strength

Seo chooses Seol's circle. While he gathers offerings through the Rothschear inheritance and Pagoda of Dreams, she contributes judgment, care, and influence rather than pretending she still has her former strength. She supports his negotiations, advises him on Paradise's institutions, and becomes an emotional and domestic center for the expanding group. When Carpe Diem moves to Eva and becomes Valhalla, her presence lends the young organization the credibility of a legend, but her conduct is deliberately personal: she cooks, nurses the injured, guides younger Priests, and speaks for Seol's character when political allies ask why they should trust him. The transition shows that her value never depended solely on spell output. (Chapters 105, 117, 124, and 126)

Her weakened state also exposes the danger created by Paradise's factional politics. When Seol is away, hostile organizations attack Valhalla and severely injure Seo and Jang Maldong, using the absence of its strongest fighters as an opening. Later, Roberto Servillo—the Luxuria bishop who fears her return—tries to lure her toward Gorad Boga under the pretense that its dense vital energy will restore her. Seo and Valhalla turn his scheme into a trap. She stages a grave relapse, permits her allies to spread the appearance that Seol has no immediate cure, and helps draw the conspirators into revealing themselves. This is a calculated use of vulnerability, not helplessness: she accepts real strain to expose the people preparing to defect to the Parasites. (Chapters 127–130, 166–170)

The key to her actual recovery is Moirai's Souvenir, bought by Eun Yuri from a Neutral Zone VIP store and secretly passed to Seo by Seol. Its enormous reserve of holy power is sufficient to repay her divine debt in one use. Seo delays consuming it because doing so would end her ability to feign weakness before the traitors commit themselves. When the ambush reaches its decisive point, the stone statue crumbles to ash in her hand, her sealed power returns, and she immediately protects her allies with hundreds of barriers. She follows the Level 7 wide-area debuff Jade Light Sonata with the Level 8 Requiem of Stars, proving publicly that the Star of Lust has returned. (Chapters 103, 137–139, 141, 153, and 168–171)

Recovery does not erase the lasting cost of being an Executor. Seo explains that higher-ranked Earthlings increasingly embody their patron gods; for her, Luxuria's influence can turn ordinary contact into overwhelming desire. Seol is the exception around whom the pressure subsides, which partly explains their physical closeness but does not reduce their relationship to divine compulsion. Seo has spent years testing whether her feelings are inherited, god-induced, or her own, and ultimately chooses them as her own. By the time her strength returns, she is not trying to restore the aloof Iron Wall of her prime. She wants power sufficient to protect the community in which she has learned to live openly. (Chapters 171, 175, 185)

The Spirit Realm and Tigol Fortress

Before her full recovery, Seo joins the expedition to restore the Spirit Realm and its World Tree. She coordinates other healers, identifies when Perfusion and other specialized treatment are needed, and remains in the battle formation even though her old wound can still reopen. Once restored, her barriers become essential against enemies operating at Army Commander scale. At Tigol Fortress she helps the expedition survive the shockwaves of Raging Temperance and the attacks surrounding Twisted Kindness, often creating the brief defensive interval Philip Muller needs to teleport the group or reorganize its formation. These scenes define her battlefield role: she rarely delivers the killing blow, but converts otherwise fatal attacks into choices her allies can act on. (Chapters 138, 143, 147–149, and 151–152)

The campaign nevertheless pushes her beyond what the restoration item can make safe. Her holy power and body are healed, but exertion accumulated over the valley injury and the Spirit Realm battles still leaves her exhausted. After Tigol, she is reported to have suffered another critical collapse and returns to Eva for treatment. Seol initially fears she withheld Moirai's Souvenir and has gambled with her life again; after reconstructing events, he realizes part of her condition is deliberately presented to flush out the internal traitors. The distinction matters: Seo does accept extreme risks, but she is neither casually suicidal nor merely a victim. She uses the enemy's belief that she is broken as operational cover. (Chapters 141, 153, 166–168)

Her conflict with Roberto Servillo also connects the alternate future to the present. Future Vision's fragments identify him as the bishop who will betray humanity and help bring down Scheherazade. Seo cannot lawfully punish him for a future that has not occurred, so she watches, prepares, and allows Seol's investigation to gather present evidence. At the ambush, Servillo and his co-conspirators expose their alliance with the Parasites. Valhalla captures him, and his testimony links multiple organizations to the attempted murder. Seo's response is institutional rather than private revenge: she returns to the Temple of Luxuria as its Executor so the Order cannot continue under the structure that enabled him. (Chapters 168–173, 185)

Humanity's reform and the return to the Order

Seo's official return is one of the decisive moves in humanity's internal reform. Addressing more than a hundred Priests from the main temple's throne, she accepts responsibility for having allowed Servillo's faction to grow, announces that she will lead the main branch again, and personally joins Valhalla to reconcile the two organizations. The assembled Priests support her because she offers both survival and a standard: those who have not betrayed humanity can rebuild under transparent allegiance, while collaborators can no longer hide behind the temple's neutrality. Her authority therefore becomes a bridge between divine institution and secular coalition rather than a means of making healers politically untouchable. (Chapters 172–173 and 175)

This choice revises the position she held at the beginning. Seo once refused to return because the Order exploited its healing monopoly and treated departures as desertion. She now returns on her own conditions, after its bishop has been exposed and after Valhalla has enough force to prevent the old hierarchy from simply absorbing her. The later account states that she conducts an organizational reform before coming home to Eva. Although the text does not enumerate every new rule, the result is clear in practice: the Temple publicly aligns against the Parasites, repairs its relationship with Gula's followers, and accepts Seo's simultaneous membership in Valhalla. (Chapters 50, 173, 175)

Seo's loyalties are no longer competing obligations. She serves Luxuria, leads the Order, and supports Valhalla because all three commitments now point toward protecting Paradise rather than preserving an institution's prestige. This integration also strengthens her partnership with Seol. She can oppose his decisions without withdrawing her support, while he treats her political judgment as part of Valhalla's strategic capacity. Their domestic intimacy in Eva—meals, rest, teasing, and the quiet hope that their new happiness will last—exists alongside preparation for the next war, not outside it. (Chapters 173 and 175)

The Imperial Oath expedition and the truth of Future Vision

Seo contributes irreplaceable knowledge to the Imperial Oath expedition. Having entered Gorad Boga before, she recognizes its map, explains the relationship between its barrier and the divine oaths of Paradise's old houses, and helps conceal the stele there. During the withdrawal she senses when her inner barrier breaks, giving the party evidence that the Parasites have reached the site. Her knowledge is partly direct and partly hearsay, and she labels it accordingly; even with Future Vision, she does not claim certainty about facts she never personally witnessed. (Chapters 178, 180, 182)

When the Parasites ignore the stele and pursue Seol, Seo leaves her assigned group and returns to him. She infers the danger from enemies flying along his retreat route and refusing to attack anyone else. Her barriers save him from Twisted Kindness's artificial sun, after which she refuses his demand that she escape. The disagreement reveals their shared flaw from opposite sides: Seol thinks leadership gives him the right to sacrifice himself alone, while Seo believes love and responsibility entitle her to share the danger even when doing so imperils the mission. She promises to explain her secrets only after they survive, but a slip—calling him the childhood nickname “pipster”—forces the truth sooner. (Chapters 182–185)

Seol's Future-Gauging Nine Eyes activates Seo's Future Vision and shows him the failed timeline, after which her Status Window confirms the unknown-grade Innate Ability. The revelation explains her long familiarity without making her omniscient. The future Seo sent back a stronger emotional fragment than Seol did; the present Seo received a dream, limited notes, and an ability that sometimes supplies visions at moments of crisis. It does not provide a continuous record. She misremembers events, cannot predict a future already changed by new choices, and initially mistakes Future Vision for a subconscious influence rather than an active ability. Her conduct is therefore best understood as risk management under partial evidence, not secret control of the timeline. (Chapter 185)

Seo intends to remain and fight, but Seol sees a future in which capture turns her into a Parasite mother species. Knowing she will not consent to leave, he knocks her unconscious and orders Flone and Little Chick to carry her to Haramark. They repeatedly render her unconscious when she wakes and tries to return. Seo survives, but Seol dies after holding the Parasites off long enough for the others to escape. She wakes in Haramark as his star falls, remains on the terrace in shock through the night, and later kneels over his body repeating cure spells that cannot revive the dead. His choice saves her from the fate he foresaw, but it also violates the shared responsibility she had demanded and leaves her to bear the grief he tried to reserve for himself. (Chapters 185, 187–188)

Return of the Star and the final war

After Seol revives and returns to Paradise, Seo's role expands again. She receives him, helps monitor his recovery, and joins the preparation for the final campaign rather than allowing grief to make his decisions for him. Seol spends acquired divinities to promote Valhalla's central members; Seo advances permanently from Level 8 Atera's Saintess to Level 9 Saint Empress. This is her latest confirmed class in the main narrative. “Level 10 Exquisite Dancer” later names the one-level-higher spell-form she accesses by Ceremony, not a demonstrated permanent promotion to Level 10. (Chapters 189–194, 199)

In the final war, Seo serves as the allied camp's premier defensive and restorative specialist. The Proof of Castitas focuses barriers that block attacks aimed at other Priests and saves Baek Haeju from Twisted Kindness's last counterattack. She layers protection over Seol during the final advance and eventually throws herself between him and the Parasite Queen's assault, disappearing when her defenses are overwhelmed. Her contribution is representative of the whole coalition's victory: Seol reaches the Queen only because Seo and successive companions willingly spend their strength to buy him the next few steps. (Chapters 199–200)

Her largest intervention is strategic rather than personal healing. As a Level 9 Priest, Seo performs a Ceremony to borrow a Level 10 spell, Miracle of Gloria Aeterna. The ritual manifests the form called Exquisite Dancer and sends a sea of holy light across the corrupted land, restoring the soil's vitality so the World Tree can take root. The effect exceeds the limited task assigned to her, but the overreach produces catastrophic recoil: blood erupts across her body and she loses consciousness after asking the Federation to take care of Seol. The spell demonstrates both her peak and its limit. She can temporarily operate in the realm of Divine Beginning through Luxuria, sufficient to restore a landscape, but doing so remains an offered, ritualized miracle that her mortal body cannot sustain. (Chapter 199)

Seo survives the coalition's victory. In the immediate postwar settlement she works beside Seol and Baek Haeju in his Paradise ramen restaurant, turning an old promise from the failed timeline into an ordinary shared life. The role is not a retreat from responsibility: her permanent Level 9 class, leadership of the Temple, and membership in Valhalla remain intact. Rather, the restaurant is the life both returned emotional fragments were trying to make possible—a future in which service to Paradise does not require them to abandon companionship or measure worth only through sacrifice. (Chapters 204–206)

After Paradise

The side stories establish Seo and Seol as an acknowledged couple and later as spouses. She joins him at festivals, supports the restaurant, brings Ian when Seol's mental state deteriorates, and remains one of the people able to challenge him without treating him as a public symbol. Their intimacy retains the habits built during war—he rests on her lap, she watches his health, and both recognize his vulnerability to compulsive behavior—but it matures into shared work and parenthood. By the time he introduces the truth of Paradise to his family, Seo is pregnant; later scenes identify their daughter as Jihui and show Seo as the member of the household Seol's parents already trust. (Chapters 205–215, 217, 236, and 253)

Peace does not make Seo inactive. When another otherworldly force seizes the old imperial palace, she joins the rescue expedition despite being pregnant, a decision Seol strongly opposes but cannot fairly forbid while everyone else is risking their lives. She uses Miracle of Gloria Aeterna again to stabilize the World Tree and later applies an Elixeer and Cure Critical Wounds to the captive Yi Seol-Ah. The hostile power blocks full purification and has drained something deeper than physical vitality, so even her strongest ordinary treatment cannot immediately wake the victims. This later use confirms both the spell's repeatability and its boundaries: it can sustain the World Tree and heal severe bodily damage, but it cannot automatically reverse every form of divine or existential injury. (Chapters 249–252)

Seo is attacked during that expedition, and Seol's anger centers on the danger to both her and their unborn child. The World Tree ultimately heals the returning party and restores life force, and Seo later gives birth safely. In the final epilogue, she helps Seol integrate Paradise, his extended family, and the consequences of the relationships formed there. Her end-state is therefore neither retired saint nor supporting spouse. She remains a leader and healer who has learned to make room for an ordinary future, and her family is the clearest proof that the ruined timeline's longing has become something chosen and lived rather than merely remembered. (Chapters 252–253)

Appearance and personality

Seo is a Korean woman from Area 1. Her revealed Status Window at age twenty-six records a height of 170.2 cm and weight of 56.4 kg. She has long jet-black hair, pale skin, and a striking figure that remains noticeable even beneath her loose Priest's robe. In battle she commonly wears white ceremonial clothing and carries or wears the Proof of Castitas as a cross; Miracle of Gloria Aeterna temporarily clothes her in an immaculate veil, jewelry, and flowing fabric made of light. Her gentle voice and composed appearance support the public image of the Flower of Paradise, but the narrative repeatedly contrasts that serenity with the cold pressure she can direct at enemies or subordinates who abuse her trust. (Chapters 72, 170, 185, 199)

Her defining public traits are tenderness, restraint, and reliability. Seo treats rank-and-file Earthlings affectionately, cooks at an expert level, loves cute animals and Little Chick, and is attentive to the practical indignities of illness as well as spectacular wounds. She is also a disciplined keeper of promises. These qualities are not simple softness: she can reject a bishop while he kneels before her, maintain a deception for months to expose traitors, and reclaim an entire religious order when its structure becomes dangerous. Her Status Window's cognition entry describes her as tender, determined, and ambitious in the sense of claiming what she feels she lacks. (Chapters 50, 72, 129, 168–173, 175, and 185)

The “Iron Wall” aspect of her personality comes from distance rather than contempt. Luxuria's influence makes close contact difficult and leads Seo to restrict how far admirers may approach, even when she behaves generously in public. Her desire quiets around Seol, but she spends considerable time questioning whether this is divine influence, an inherited attachment from the failed future, or present love. Her eventual answer is deliberately existential: whatever first drew her toward him, she chooses the relationship and the future it serves. She can be jealous, teasing, and possessive, yet she also resists deciding Seol's life for him—the very issue that brings her into conflict with Baek Haeju after Arden and with Seol during the Imperial Oath retreat. (Chapters 50, 95, 171, 184–185)

Her principal flaw is that care can become self-erasure. Extrema, her return to Seol during the Imperial Oath expedition, and her overextended Level 10 Ceremony all place her body at terrible risk. Unlike Seol, however, she increasingly makes those risks part of collective plans and demands the right to share responsibility. Her development is not learning to stop sacrificing altogether, but learning to connect sacrifice to consent, strategy, and a life worth returning to. The final family scenes complete that progression: the woman who once treated contact as dangerous becomes openly affectionate without losing the will that made her an Executor. (Chapters 93–95, 168–173, 175, 178, 180, 182–185, 199, and 253)

Abilities and class

Class progression and divine patronage

Seo follows Luxuria's pure-healing Priest path and does not accept power from another god. She is Level 7 when she negotiates for the two saintess proofs, then advances at Luxuria's main temple to Level 8 Atera's Saintess and resumes her Executor position. After Seol's revival, a Divine Wish promotes her permanently to Level 9 Saint Empress. As the Star of Lust, she also retains Apostle's Authorities even during retirement, though the corpus does not enumerate all of those Authorities or establish their individual mechanics. Her relationship with Luxuria is permanent divine patronage; spells and Authorities are innate/class-derived, while the two proofs amplify or focus particular applications and Moirai's Souvenir restores power lost to divine debt. (Chapters 50, 82–84, 90, 185, 194)

Luxuria grants a special Ceremony privilege to Priests who serve only her through Levels 1–4: by preparing an altar, giving suitable offerings, and formally petitioning the goddess, the Priest may borrow a spell one level above their permanent class. The effect varies with the quality and quantity of offerings. This is neither free nor a normal promotion. Seo uses it as a Level 8 Priest to cast Level 9 Extrema and as a Level 9 Priest to cast the Level 10 Miracle of Gloria Aeterna. Both demonstrated uses exact severe bodily costs, and the first also leaves her abilities sealed because she borrows more divine power than permitted. (Chapters 93–94, 103, 185, 199)

Future Vision

Future Vision is an innate ability of unknown grade created when the failed future's Seo sends a fragment of emotion backward through Gula. Its passive effect gives the present Seo powerful but incomplete emotional impressions, fragments of names and events, and a sense of familiarity with Seol. Its active effect is demonstrated at Arden, where it supplies the ritual knowledge for Extrema at the moment Seol is dying. When Seol reads the ability, it also unfolds a long vision showing him Seo's alternate history. (Chapters 93, 184–185)

The ability's boundaries are explicit. It did not return a full autobiographical memory, Seo initially interpreted its information as a dream, and many details faded or remained uncertain even after she wrote them down. It does not continuously report the future, and changing events make old outcomes less reliable. The corpus never assigns it a stable activation condition, so whether it responds to crisis, compatible foresight, or divine intervention remains unknown. Claims that Seo can freely inspect any future would therefore go beyond what she demonstrates. (Chapter 185)

Healing and life-force control

Seo's ordinary specialty covers individual cures, mass treatment, stabilization, blood and pain management, and life-force work. Vitale Resurgens, identified by Maria as an Ancient Spell, produces a green orb and restores exhausted Banquet survivors. In war, Seo's falling feathers close wounds, relieve pain, stabilize body and mind, warm failing bodies, and supply blood until Cure Massive Wounds becomes viable. She can diagnose transferred life force, direct other Priests to use techniques such as Perfusion, and later cast Cure Critical Wounds strongly enough to regenerate destroyed eyes and other major injuries. These are demonstrated effects; the corpus does not establish that any ordinary cure can revive a dead soul or restore a drained existential core. (Chapters 72, 92, 95, 143, 250–251)

Extrema is her most extreme life-force spell. It transfers half the caster's life force to the target and shares half the target's pain, forcibly delaying death. It does not heal the underlying cause, and the recipient must gradually assimilate the foreign life force; in Seol's case this produces temporary attraction toward Seo and possible unknown side effects. Seo can recover from the immediate physical loss with outside treatment, but the unauthorized divine borrowing seals her abilities until the debt is repaid. Extrema is demonstrated once, under Future Vision's guidance, and should not be treated as a routine resurrection spell. (Chapters 94–95, 103, 185)

Barriers, buffs, and debuffs

Seo's barriers range from layered personal shields to distributed defenses surrounding dozens of targets. At full Level 8 strength she blocks the aftershock of a divinity-released Army Commander, intercepts Twisted Kindness's artificial sun long enough for Seol to escape, and simultaneously deflects bullets from an army of Evil Phantoms with hundreds of white discs. With the Proof of Castitas, she blocks high-order attacks directed at allied Priests, saves Baek Haeju from a killing counterstroke, and layers defenses over Seol during his advance on the Parasite Queen. These uses demonstrate exceptional coverage and control, not invulnerability: concentrated Army Commander attacks crack the barriers, push her backward, and eventually overwhelm them. Jade Light Sonata is a Level 7 wide-area debuff. It raises piano-key-like pillars of light into a cage that restrains Evil Phantoms. Requiem of Stars is a Level 8 wide-area buff/debuff that calls down starlight, establishes holy territory, harms or melts Parasites, and contests opposing corrupt energy. The spell can also form a large barrier against catastrophic fire, but sustained use leaves Seo sweating and depleted. Both are class-derived and permanent after her power is restored; their precise numerical ranges, durations, and target-selection rules are not stated. (Chapters 90, 170, 184)

Miracle of Gloria Aeterna

Miracle of Gloria Aeterna is the sole demonstrated Level 10 spell available to Seo through a Level 9 Ceremony. It manifests the temporary form “Exquisite Dancer” and turns her movements into a sea of holy light. In the final war, the light purifies Parasite-corrupted soil over a vast area, restores vitality and divinity to the ground, and creates the conditions for the World Tree to germinate. In the later imperial-palace expedition, the same spell stabilizes a screaming World Tree and attempts another expanding purification. (Chapters 199, 250)

Its representative uses also show its limits. The final-war casting exceeds the requested scope and causes massive bleeding and unconsciousness. The later casting is blocked by an otherworldly barrier and can only keep the World Tree alive rather than purify the palace. The spell is repeatable and extraordinarily broad, but not permanent, effortless, or absolute. “Level 10 Exquisite Dancer” describes the borrowed spell-state during the Miracle; Seo's latest confirmed permanent class remains Level 9 Saint Empress. Noncombat capabilities

Seo possesses an extradimensional storage space and is an accomplished cook. She also has extensive medical, theological, and institutional knowledge, understands ancient oaths and holy artifacts, and can command large groups of Priests. Her strategic abilities are demonstrated in the deception used to expose Servillo, her reading of the Imperial Oath expedition's barrier failure, and the reform of Luxuria's main temple. These skills are not secondary flavor: after Extrema seals her spells, they are the principal means by which she continues influencing Valhalla and Paradise. (Chapters 72, 93, 103, 105, 168–173, 175, and 178)

Seol Jihu

Seol Jihu is Seo's central partner across both timelines. The failed future's Seo comes to love him while they search for Baek Haeju and sends her feelings back after finding him dead. The present Seo initially protects him because of that inherited longing and Baek Haeju's request under her Earth identity, Yoo Seonhwa, but repeatedly tests whether her own will agrees with it. Their relationship becomes reciprocal through the Flower of Soma exchange, Extrema, Seol's search for offerings, and the domestic life they build in Valhalla. Each saves the other, and each also confronts the other's habit of treating survival as expendable. (Chapters 82–84, 90–95, 99, 101–103, 105, 137–139, 141–149, 151–154, 161–162, 166–173, 175, 178, 180, and 182–185)

Their sharpest conflict occurs when he forces her out of the Imperial Oath battle. He saves her from a horrific foreseen fate, but denies her choice and dies alone. After his revival, their relationship becomes more explicit and eventually romantic. They work together at his restaurant, marry, and have a daughter, Jihui. Seo remains capable of disagreeing with him—most notably by joining the later rescue expedition while pregnant—so the end-state is partnership rather than the one-way guardianship with which she began. (Chapters 185–197, 199–200, 202–205, 236, and 249–253)

Baek Haeju

Baek Haeju is Seo's old comrade and the person whose fabricated Paradise identity Seo helped create. In return, Baek Haeju aided Seo, beginning a relationship of deep trust that survives both timelines. They fight together against the Parasites, and the failed future brings Seo and Seol together through Baek Haeju's death and final request. In the present, however, they clash over who may decide Seol's future after Arden. Baek Haeju believes their childhood bond gives her the right to send him away; Seo insists that Seol must choose for himself. (Chapter 185)

Their rivalry over Seol never erases operational trust. Seo shields Baek Haeju in the final war, while Baek Haeju helps sustain Seol after Extrema and later works beside the couple at the restaurant. The relationship combines friendship, romantic competition, and a shared recognition that the other will risk herself for the same people. (Chapters 93–95, 199–200, and 202–206)

Luxuria and the Temple

Luxuria is Seo's patron, the source of her class abilities and Apostle's Authorities, and also the divine influence that makes her ordinary life difficult. Seo neither rejects the goddess nor obeys the human Order uncritically. She retires when the Star of Lust's attributes become overwhelming, refuses bishops who use healing power coercively, and later returns only to reform the institution after its leader betrays humanity. Her mature loyalty distinguishes service to Luxuria from submission to every policy enacted in the goddess's name. (Chapters 50, 93, 103, 171–173, and 175)

Sung Shihyun

Sung Shihyun was Seo's fellow Executor and partner during the Temple of Luxuria's most influential period. Their falling-out contributes to both of them leaving the Order, but Seo still returns from retirement when he disappears because she fears what he may do to others. That fear proves justified when he defects to the Parasites. In the failed future he kills Baek Haeju before Seol kills him; in the present, his betrayal and knowledge of Seo's vulnerabilities make him one of the principal dangers she prepares against. (Chapters 50, 185, 190)

Valhalla

Seo's relationship with Valhalla evolves from protected guest to formal member and institutional bridge. Kim Hannah values her influence as a shield around Seol, Jang Maldong respects both her sacrifice and judgment, and Valhalla's younger members treat her as healer, teacher, and “noona.” She officially joins while taking control of the Temple of Luxuria, allowing the two organizations to reconcile without either surrendering its identity. Her continued presence after the war confirms that Valhalla is not merely a temporary alliance formed around Seol's battles, but the community she has chosen as home. (Chapters 49, 103, 105, 117, 119–124, 126–129, 173, 175, and 204–205)

• Proof of Castitas — An ancient crucifix associated with the Rothschear saintesses and one of the two qualification tokens for Seo's Level 8 advancement. Once in her possession, it acts as a holy focus for Jade Light Sonata, Requiem of Stars, and especially high-grade barriers. It remains usable through the final war and is repeatedly demonstrated blocking attacks that would otherwise kill allied Priests. (Chapters 82–84, 170, 184, 199–200)

• Proof of Devotion — An ancient ring and the second saintess token required for Seo's Level 8 qualification. Seol retrieves it from the Rothschear tomb and transfers it to Seo together with the Proof of Castitas and Luck elixir. The corpus demonstrates its role in satisfying the advancement condition, but does not show a later named spell or independent mechanical effect tied specifically to the ring. (Chapters 82–84)

• Moirai's Souvenir — A one-use Neutral Zone VIP treasure containing an enormous reserve of holy power. Eun Yuri buys it for Seol, who secretly gives it to Seo because it can repay the divine debt that sealed her abilities. Seo deliberately postpones consuming it while helping expose Servillo's conspiracy, then expends it during the ambush; the statue turns to ash and her Level 8 power returns immediately. It restores her body and holy power, but does not make later overexertion consequence-free. (Chapters 103, 137–139, 141, 153, and 168–171)
