Aroshia

Aroshia is one of the earliest long-serving officers of the Black Star Mercenary Group and its successor, the Black Star Army. First encountered as an amnesiac “Space Wonder” who repeatedly returned to a slave-market cell, she develops a stable identity, awakens the Esper ability to transform into energy, and recovers memories connecting her to an artificial-intelligence civilization conquered by Manison. She and Risda are separate individuals from that civilization, not alternate names or forms of the same being.

Biography

The Black Star Mercenary Group

Han Xiao finds Aroshia in Horlaide's slave market on Floating Dragon, where scans cannot identify her species and reveal energy fluctuating between Grade C and beyond Grade B. She remembers language but none of her history, displays no ordinary appetite or curiosity, and has repeatedly vanished or revived in the same cell after being removed or killed. Each return erases the memories accumulated since the previous reset. Han Xiao ultimately takes her with his rescued party, gives her somewhere to remain, and treats her as a person whose mystery can be investigated rather than merchandise or a reusable anomaly. Life with the mercenaries gradually gives Aroshia something she had lacked: experiences she wants to preserve. During an attack by Ember, she first acts on an impulse to protect Han Xiao; in their later confrontation, the prospect that another resurrection would erase those bonds makes her afraid of death. That fear triggers Energize, changing her into a bluish-gold energy body immune to Ember's carbon control. She powers the group's escape vehicle, later transfers energy directly into Han Xiao's armor, and protects Alvin under orders, establishing herself as both a combatant and a dependable member of the team. Mutation Disaster and the Secret War

By the Mutation Disaster, Aroshia stands among Black Star's established officers beside Herlous and the eldest, second, and youngest Volga brothers. She is publicly recognizable to the newly recruited players, can frustrate physical opponents such as Harmon by shifting into a pure energy body, and takes part in army operations while the mercenary group grows into a large institution. Her appearance and reserve make her popular enough for players to seek photographs with her, yet the quieter scenes also show an increasingly ordinary private life: she stays at the base with Sylvia, eats for enjoyment despite not needing food, and accepts the rhythms of a community rather than existing as an isolated wonder. At the same time, her missing past becomes a political problem. The corpus identifies Aroshia as an artificial-intelligence life form, while Risda is a separate AI life form who recognizes her connection to his conquered civilization and asks Han Xiao to help restore her memories. Han Xiao distributes images from those memories to the players so they can locate the places she recalls, but he proceeds cautiously after learning that the trail leads toward the Mechanic Empire and the Ancient One Manison. Aroshia remains outwardly cold through these discoveries and through Ames's later inspection, although her long service and recovered social attachments show that calmness is no longer the same as her original absence of desire. The Evolution Cube and Crimson Dynasty

As Han Xiao approaches Beyond Grade A, Aroshia's own history becomes clearer. She regains her memories and integrates three personalities within her mind, remaining recognizably herself while no longer being the ignorant amnesiac first found on Floating Dragon. Risda urges her to ask Han Xiao to save their people from Manison, but Aroshia judges that pressing him before his new position and the army are stable would be futile. Her response combines loyalty with patience: she shares Risda's objective without pretending that two rescued survivors alone are enough reason for their commander to start a war with an established Beyond Grade A. Her combat strength eventually falls behind the scale of Han Xiao's personal operations, so Aroshia spends more time at headquarters and maintains a special position through seniority, popularity, and her role in the army's foundation. She remains close to Sylvia and appears comfortable in the institution they helped build. When Manison later demands that Han Xiao return Aroshia and Risda, Han Xiao refuses on the grounds that Aroshia has free will, is his comrade rather than his property, and has served for more than twenty years. The confrontation confirms both her origin as one of two distinct escapees and her achieved status: whatever Manison considers her former function, the Black Star Army recognizes her as an autonomous person. Information Form and the Final Relay

Nearly a century after the mercenary group's beginnings, Aroshia is still present in the upper-echelon work area of the Black Star Army's new headquarters in the Supers Holy Land. Han Xiao sees her quietly staring through a window at the stars while Herlous, Sylvia, and the other veteran officers continue with their own work. The scene does not assign her a new campaign or title; instead, it establishes continuity. She has outlasted the mystery that once defined her and remains part of the institution after its transition from a third-rate mercenary band to a galactic power. (Chapter 1459)

Her presence also helps Han Xiao form an Information Form Anchor from his memories of the army's rise. He remembers Aroshia among the young companions who once risked their lives beside him and recognizes that they have become important galactic figures with lives that no longer require constant frontline action. For Aroshia, that retrospective carries particular weight: the person who once feared that a memory reset would erase her self has accumulated almost a century of shared history. The chapter does not merge her identity with Risda or another energy being; it remembers Aroshia herself as one enduring comrade among the army's founders. (Chapter 1459)

Appearance and personality

Aroshia's physical form is a humanlike woman whose beauty repeatedly attracts attention. She has an almost perfect face, deep and calm eyes, and a clear, ethereal voice. When Energize activates, her body becomes translucent bluish-gold light surrounded by drifting particles; she can assume a humanoid outline, a sphere, or other shapes before reconstructing the same original physical appearance. Her early stillness makes her seem dreamlike, while later scenes retain the expressionless face but place it in ordinary settings such as shared meals and headquarters work. (Chapters 367, 381, 399–402, 592, and 882)

Initially, Aroshia lacks curiosity, panic, appetite, and clear personal goals. Contact with Han Xiao's group changes that condition without making her demonstrative. She develops protectiveness, fears the destruction of memories that define her, shows flashes of amusement, trusts Han Xiao without reflexive doubt, and enjoys eating despite having no biological need for it. Even after recovering her past, she remains calm, blunt, patient, and outwardly cold. Her restraint is therefore better understood as temperament than emptiness: she can weigh political timing, care about endangered compatriots, and preserve loyalties without displaying those commitments dramatically. Abilities and class

Aroshia is an Esper whose defining power, Energize, converts her between a fixed humanlike material body and a mutable energy body. Later revelations identify her as an artificial-intelligence life form from the civilization controlled by Manison. These descriptions concern different aspects of the same character—origin, embodiment, and Super ability—but do not make her identical to Risda, who maintains his own consciousness, history, and virtual hosts.

Energize

Energize lets Aroshia transform all or part of her body into energy and reshape that energy without ordinary anatomical limits. In full energy form, she has no conventional lethal organs; so long as her energy is not exhausted, damage that would kill a biological body does not necessarily kill her. Returning from energy to material form reconstructs injuries at an energy cost, but her physical appearance always returns to its original configuration. The ability begins near Grade C and has substantial room to grow through training in strength, range, and capacity. (Chapters 399–402)

Energy conversion and transfer

Her energy can automatically adopt a form compatible with a machine, allowing her to power engines, overload a vehicle's output, and recharge mechanical equipment directly. She can merge her energy body into Han Xiao's armor and later exchange energy with his Chaos Body. Unlike the Chaos Body, she can actively absorb energy, and her ability can use many different energy forms rather than one fixed element. This flexibility makes her a universal energy source in mechanical operations, though the amount she can supply or absorb remains limited by her own reserves and control. Intangibility and shape control

In energy form, Aroshia can pass through ordinary physical matter, fly or accelerate as a beam of light, extend parts of herself through barriers, and evade attacks that depend on a material body. This makes her an especially poor target for purely physical opponents and protects her from Ember's control of carbon-based matter. The defense is not absolute: her energy can be consumed, transferred, or potentially disrupted, and reconstructing a damaged physical form spends the same reserve on which her survival depends. Recombination and the former “Space Wonder”

Before her awakening and recovered memories, Aroshia repeatedly reappears at the site of the slave-market cell after being killed or kept away for six days. Only one instance exists at a time, and each return resets her to amnesia. Later evidence describes her as an escaped artificial-intelligence life form that became an indestructible mechanical soldier by using an energy-transmission channel and recombination material. That later account explains why Manison could track her and why her early embodiment appeared anomalous, although the corpus still presents the original witnesses' “Space Wonder” label as an observational diagnosis rather than her true species. Memory integration

Aroshia's development is also cognitive. Her early resets remove newly formed memories, and the hidden Reboot chain centers on locating the scenes retained from her past. After those fragments are recovered, she integrates three personalities within her mind. The result is not described as Risda taking her over or as Aroshia becoming another named energy entity: she remains Aroshia, now informed by multiple aspects of her own recovered consciousness. This integrated self can remember her civilization, share the desire to free it, and still make decisions distinct from Risda's more urgent appeals. (Chapters 391, 592, 653, and 766)

• Han Xiao: Han Xiao removes Aroshia from the slave market, gives her a place in his team, trains her awakened power, and helps search for her memories. Her first strong self-directed impulse is to protect him, and she later trusts his judgment deeply. When Manison calls her an escaped asset, Han Xiao explicitly defends her free will and status as a founding comrade. (Chapters 367–402, 579, 592, and 885)
• Risda: Risda is a separate artificial-intelligence life form from the same conquered civilization. He recognizes Aroshia's connection to their people, pushes for the recovery of her memories, and urges her to persuade Han Xiao to oppose Manison. Aroshia shares his concern but exercises independent judgment about when such a request is realistic. (Chapters 552–592, 653, 687, and 766)
• Sylvia: Sylvia and Aroshia serve together from the mercenary era onward, often remaining at headquarters while other officers deploy. The corpus states that they have known each other for a long time and have a good relationship, and they are shown eating together after the army's expansion. • Herlous: Herlous is one of Aroshia's earliest fellow officers and helps Han Xiao guide her use of energy after her awakening. • Ember: Ember's attacks catalyze Aroshia's emergence as an individual combatant. She first tries to stop him from harming Han Xiao, and the later threat of his decomposition power makes her confront the possibility that losing her memories is a genuine death. • Ames: Ames encounters Aroshia first as an undying anomaly on Floating Dragon and cannot permanently kill her despite repeated attempts. • Feidin: Feidin and Aroshia are fellow senior associates of the Black Star organization and become especially popular with players because of their appearance. Their relationship is primarily collegial in the cited material rather than a close personal bond. (Chapters 522 and 592)

Items

Aroshia has no persistent named item in the article inventory. Her combat and operational value comes from her own energy body: she can supply compatible power to vehicles, armor, and other machinery, but those machines belong to Han Xiao or the Black Star organization rather than to her personally.
