Feidin

Feidin, whose full name is Adrian Kelvinsin Feidin, is a Psychic and one of the earliest long-serving officers of the Black Star Army. His story begins when the singer known as Chen Xing is revealed to be a female Psychic occupying his body, leaving Feidin's consciousness trapped within it. Rather than destroy her, he seeks reconciliation, develops her psychic art through their shared memories, and eventually forms a romantic partnership with her after their souls are separated. His extraordinary luck repeatedly benefits Han Xiao, but his own compassion, judgment, and increasingly formidable psychic and soul-based abilities make him far more than a fortunate mascot.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Feidin does not personally participate in the fall of the Germinal Organization or the Aquamarine war. The figure called Destiny's Child in those events is a captive foreseer and sub-body of the later Primal Esper Ability Entity, whose predictions influence Germinal's pursuit of Han Xiao and whose Character Summon Card later lets Han make probabilistic predictions. Feidin is never identified as that foreseer or the original entity, and his actual introduction occurs much later under entirely different circumstances. (Chapters 200, 237, 239, 286, and 306)

The later explanation removes any possible ambiguity: Destiny's Child is a Primal Esper Ability Entity that creates sub-bodies through information-state disturbances, and the foreseer held by Germinal was one such sub-body. Han Xiao encounters another transforming sub-body named Rody and eventually meets the independent entity itself, which he releases from Holy Accord custody. Feidin is neither that entity nor one of its identified sub-bodies; his unusual condition comes from Chen Xing's Mind Possession, not from Destiny's Child. (Chapters 1129–1130 and 1460)

The Black Star Mercenary Group

Feidin first appears as the original owner of the body publicly known throughout the galaxy as the male singer Chen Xing. Five years earlier, he had been living quietly by farming and hunting on a partly colonized planet when he rescued a critically injured female Psychic whose name was also Chen Xing. She repaid that mercy by using Mind Possession, an extremely dangerous technique with only a tiny chance of success, to take his body and suppress his consciousness. Feidin remained aware as a spectator, sharing her senses, memories, and experiences while she built a celebrated musical career with his appearance. (Chapters 453–454)

When Han Xiao exposes the possession, Feidin rejects the easiest violent solution. He understands that Chen Xing acted from desperation and recognizes that she did not recklessly ruin his body, so he refuses to have her consciousness erased even after five years of captivity. He publicly ends the singer's career by using the performance instincts and social experience stored in their shared memory, defusing what otherwise appears to be a kidnapping scandal. He then joins Han Xiao's mercenary group because the journey offers a chance to grow strong enough to negotiate with Chen Xing on equal terms rather than simply destroy her. (Chapters 454–456)

Feidin's psychic awakening is exceptionally fast. By drawing on Chen Xing's memories and the energy already residing in their common body, he begins using psychic power within hours and reaches Grade C through meditation and song. He remains gentle and reluctant to fight, communicating with Chen Xing every day even when she answers with resistance. His remarkable charm helps persuade clients to trust the mercenary group, while his improbable good fortune repeatedly turns dangerous searches and encounters in Black Star's favor. The struggle for control does not end immediately. During the Noriosse battle, Chen Xing retakes the body and tries to impersonate him, only for Han Xiao to recognize the switch. When she yields control rather than risk forcible suppression, Feidin explains that their constant mental contact has already given each an intimate understanding of the other. He continues traveling with the group instead of treating the episode as grounds for revenge. This patience gradually changes an involuntary shared existence into a genuine partnership, although their two consciousnesses remain distinct. (Chapters 501 and 506)

Mutation Disaster and the Secret War

Feidin remains with the mercenary group as it returns to Planet Aquamarine and expands into the Black Star Army. His role combines field service with the unusual interpersonal value created by his high charm and luck. While other officers specialize in direct offense, logistics, or command, Feidin is repeatedly useful in situations where trust, intuition, or an improbable opening matters. His continued presence also confirms that his agreement with Chen Xing has become stable enough for him to serve reliably rather than live under constant threat of losing control of his body. During the Secret War, Feidin grows from a protected recruit into a recognized army officer. He supports missions with psychic perception and mental attacks while remaining less aggressive than the organization's front-line warriors. Han Xiao values him so highly that he routinely seeks physical contact before random selections, hoping Feidin's extraordinary luck will influence the result. The running habit is comic, but it also reflects a real strategic judgment: chance repeatedly bends around Feidin in beneficial ways, making his presence valuable even when he is not the strongest combatant in the room. The Evolution Cube and Crimson Dynasty

Feidin's psychic expertise becomes essential when a foreign psychic force implants a Soul Embryo in Han Xiao. Entering Han's mental territory, Feidin identifies the contaminating power as a Beyond Grade A psychic toxin and tests whether it can be extracted. His own energy is swallowed by the embryo, so he cannot remove it, but his diagnosis establishes the nature and danger of the attack. The attempt also shows his loyalty: despite the gap in strength and the risk of exposing his consciousness to an unknown enemy technique, he enters the commander's mind without hesitation. The possibility that the Tyrant might kill Han Xiao reveals how personally Feidin now regards the organization. He offers to abandon the army and flee with Han if the confrontation cannot be survived, treating their bond as more important than rank or institutional security. Han instead advances to Beyond Grade A and later promotes his veteran officers. Feidin subsequently fights as psychic support beside Han and Hila against EsGod's subordinates, using perception, interference, and timely openings rather than attempting to match physically stronger enemies blow for blow. After Black Star joins the Crimson Dynasty, Feidin's standing rises with the army's. He remains one of the people whom Han trusts around sensitive operations and one of the officers whose presence can change an uncertain outcome. His luck is never a substitute for preparation—Han builds strategy around intelligence, allies, and machinery—but it becomes an additional resource that he deliberately consults. By the time the army enters the Flickering World, Feidin is no longer the displaced singer brought aboard out of curiosity; he is a veteran whose psychic competence and personal reliability have survived several organizational transformations. The Flickering World

In the Flickering World, Feidin often travels with Aurora, acting as her bodyguard and partner during relief work and exploration. He prefers quiet places and initially hopes for an uneventful stop, but his luck reliably attracts incidents. When he detects a concealed barrier and an injured stranger, his response is characteristically compassionate: he investigates and offers help instead of avoiding a suspicious situation. Chen Xing remains mentally present during these journeys, and their constant private conversation is now described less as imprisonment than as a two-person world built on unusually complete mutual understanding. His specialized knowledge of consciousness also makes him a trusted healer. When Nero suffers mental trauma, Feidin is called because he can inspect and treat damage that ordinary medicine cannot reach. The assignment fits his temperament as much as his class: his power is most often used to protect, stabilize, persuade, or restore rather than dominate. As the army's territory and membership expand, that combination gives him a distinct institutional niche between combat psychic, counselor, and high-trust escort. (Chapters 967 and 1036)

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Feidin represents Black Star in high-level operations during the Intelligent Plague era, including deployments involving valuable strategic assets. His status reflects a long accumulation of trust rather than a single promotion: he can operate independently, communicate the army's intentions, and respond to psychic or interpersonal complications that mechanical forces cannot easily solve. Although Han Xiao still jokes about borrowing his luck, Feidin's practical duties increasingly rest on professional expertise and discretion. (Chapters 1046 and 1078)

The reappearance of Destiny's Child terminology during the investigation of Rody again underlines that it is unrelated to Feidin. Rody is undergoing transformation into a sub-body of a Primal Esper Ability Entity, while Feidin is an awakened human Psychic whose two-soul condition resulted from Chen Xing's deliberate Mind Possession. The parallel is thematic—both involve identity and more than one possible self connected to one body—but the causes, powers, and characters are separate. (Chapters 1129–1130)

Feidin later acquires the Soul Swapper, a Universal Treasure capable of moving souls between bodies. His immense luck helps the army locate Aesop during the struggle over the device, while his psychic background makes him the appropriate custodian and user. At his then-current Calamity Grade, he cannot exploit every function freely, but he can create controlled exchanges that let Aesop travel in a safer temporary body. The device transforms Feidin's role from mental specialist into one of the setting's few reliable practitioners of direct soul manipulation. (Chapters 1161, 1169, and 1248)

Sanctum Revival and the Super Crisis

Feidin and Aurora continue traveling together during the uneasy period before the Super crisis. His luck functions like an event trigger, drawing them toward an ambush in which unknown hunters target Beyond Grade A seeds. Aurora prevents the victims from dying, while Feidin uses the Soul Swapper to place attackers' souls into animal bodies, then combines interrogation with mind reading to discover the larger pattern. He promptly reports the organized hunting teams to Han Xiao. The episode demonstrates planning, restraint, and intelligence: luck brings him to the crisis, but skill and judgment solve it. His handling of the attackers also shows how his pacifism has matured. The early Feidin disliked violence and hoped to live an ordinary life; the veteran officer can now neutralize enemies decisively without abandoning that preference. Soul exchange gives him a method that is terrifying in principle, yet he uses it to stop killings, preserve information, and expose the organization behind them. By this stage he is publicly ranked as a Beyond Grade A seed, making his gentle demeanor compatible with, rather than contradictory to, recognized strategic power. (Chapters 1264–1266 and 1284)

During the confrontation between the association and the three universal civilizations, Feidin stays aligned with Han Xiao's side. His value lies partly in being difficult to replace: psychic treatment, soul transfer, and exceptional probability are all scarce capabilities, and his long service makes him safer to trust than a newly recruited specialist. He does not direct the political strategy, but his continued presence helps the army preserve internal cohesion while its leader is sanctioned and its allies face pressure to defect. The World Tree War

Feidin joins the explored universe's mobilization against the World Tree as a senior psychic combatant. Early in the conflict, he works within the larger Beyond Grade A network rather than as an isolated hero, contributing mental interference and soul-based control where conventional fleet weapons are less effective. The war gives his previously nonlethal specialty a harsher purpose: enemies connected to the World Tree cannot simply be negotiated with, so protecting the explored universe requires him to use abilities he once developed mainly for communication and healing. At the Soul Terminal, Feidin discovers that the Soul Swapper can absorb the residue of destroyed World Tree souls. He refines that residue into pure energy through Soul Connection and digests it, breaking through to Beyond Grade A in roughly a month. The advance is earned through a rare compatibility between his Psychic path, his bond with the treasure, and the battlefield's unusual resources. Grateful that Han Xiao protected his growth for more than a century, Feidin promises to repay that investment rather than treating his breakthrough as an individual triumph. (Chapter 1380)

His evolved Psychic Song incorporates the nature of the Soul Swapper. The song penetrates psychological resistance, triggers emotions and desires, and can influence large groups as a form of mass hypnosis. Used constructively, it raises motivation and training efficiency without the harmful side effects of crude mental coercion; used against enemies, it can disrupt resolve and coordination. Deeply entrenched dispositions can still break the effect, so the technique guides existing emotion rather than permanently rewriting personality. Han Xiao begins calling him “Singer,” a title Feidin accepts as the transformed legacy of Chen Xing's art. (Chapter 1380)

Continued cultivation at the Soul Terminal raises Feidin into the upper tier of Beyond Grade A. In fleet combat, the Soul Swapper creates a life-forbidden region by destroying souls across tens of thousands of World Tree ships. Its reach is finite on a galactic battlefield, and the World Tree's binding prevents him from transferring enemy souls normally, forcing him to crush them instead. These limits keep the treasure from becoming omnipotent while still making Feidin one of the alliance's most dangerous area-control specialists. (Chapters 1403, 1405, and 1437)

Information Form and the Final Relay

After the victory, Feidin becomes assistant chief of the Psychic Department in the Supers Holy Land, serving beneath its leading Psychic expert. The position formalizes the institutional importance he accumulated across the war: he is now an upper-tier Beyond Grade A, an experienced officer, and the holder of a unique soul-manipulating treasure. His life nevertheless becomes quieter, suggesting that he never lost the preference for peace that defined him before his awakening. (Chapters 1446 and 1460)

The Soul Swapper separated Feidin and Chen Xing into distinct bodies long before the final information-form crisis, but separation does not end their bond. Years of sharing memories, senses, and private thought leave them able to understand one another from a glance, and they become openly affectionate romantic partners. Han Xiao finds them singing together on a rooftop during a date and reflects that some of his own success came from Feidin's luck. Feidin's conclusion thus resolves the violation at the start of his story without pretending it never happened: autonomy is restored, forgiveness is chosen, and intimacy survives only because both people can finally choose it. Appearance and personality

Feidin is an exceptionally handsome young man whose appearance carries both masculine gentleness and the alluring beauty that Chen Xing once used as a performer. His high Charm is repeatedly treated as an extraordinary trait rather than mere celebrity polish, allowing him to lower suspicion and win confidence quickly. Because Feidin and Chen Xing originally presented the same body in different ways, observers could read it as a warm, mild young man or as the glamorous singer persona associated with Chen Xing's career. He is calm, compassionate, patient, and unusually willing to understand an enemy. His refusal to erase Chen Xing after years of possession is the defining example, but the same disposition governs his later work as a healer, escort, and rescuer. Feidin dislikes killing and originally wanted an ordinary rural life, yet he does not confuse gentleness with passivity: he joins dangerous expeditions, investigates hidden suffering, interrogates organized killers, and fights the World Tree when restraint can no longer protect others. Feidin is a Psychic whose abilities center on perception, mental communication, emotional influence, psychic treatment, and eventually direct manipulation of souls. His early power develops through Chen Xing's memories and accumulated psychic energy, but he becomes an independent practitioner rather than merely borrowing her skill. By the World Tree war, his own Psychic Song and compatibility with the Soul Swapper carry him to Beyond Grade A. (Chapters 456–467, 727, 967, 1161, and 1380)

Psychic perception and treatment

Feidin can sense psychic disturbances, enter or inspect mental territory, read minds under appropriate conditions, test truthfulness, and diagnose injuries to consciousness. He identifies the Soul Embryo contaminating Han Xiao and treats Nero's mental trauma, while later interrogations combine ordinary questioning with direct psychic verification. These techniques require access and sufficient strength: the Beyond Grade A Soul Embryo swallows his energy when he tries to remove it, proving that correct diagnosis does not guarantee the power to cure every condition. Psychic Song

Feidin channels psychic energy through song, a method inherited from Chen Xing's experience and refined into his own signature technique. At first his singing lacks her practiced quality even when the psychic exercise succeeds, but cultivation gradually joins performance and power. After his Beyond Grade A breakthrough, Psychic Song gains exceptional penetration and broad emotional control from its integration with the Soul Swapper. It can amplify motivation and improve training efficiency or induce powerful emotional responses across a battlefield. The effect is not absolute mind rewriting: a target whose established personality strongly rejects the induced state can recover quickly, and powerful psychological resistance remains relevant. Its strength lies in reaching many minds efficiently and turning existing feeling into coordinated action. (Chapter 1380)

Soul Swapper and Soul Connection

The Soul Swapper allows Feidin to exchange souls between bodies, hold or redirect displaced consciousnesses, and attack souls directly. At Calamity Grade he uses controlled swaps to imprison attackers in animals and to let Aesop travel through a safer substitute body. The treasure eventually separates Feidin and Chen Xing permanently, restoring each person's bodily autonomy without severing their relationship. Its advanced functions depend on Feidin's own strength and understanding rather than operating as an unlimited automatic effect. (Chapters 1161, 1248, 1264–1266, and 1460)

At the Soul Terminal, Feidin uses Soul Connection to absorb and refine World Tree soul residue into energy, the process that pushes him across the Beyond Grade A threshold. Later he can destroy souls throughout a vast area containing tens of thousands of ships. The World Tree's special binding prevents normal transfer of those enemy souls, and even the enhanced ability covers only a limited region compared with a full galactic battlefield. Luck and charm

Feidin possesses a Luck Glow of exceptional strength. Convenient encounters, improbable escapes, and favorable discoveries cluster around him, while Han Xiao repeatedly treats touching or bringing Feidin along as a way to improve uncertain outcomes. The story presents this as a real advantage but does not provide a complete formula for controlling it. Feidin cannot choose every result, and chance commonly leads him into trouble that still requires courage and ability to resolve. (Chapters 459, 480, 501, 722, 1161, 1264, and 1460)

His extraordinary Charm complements that luck. Feidin can gain trust, persuade potential clients, and maintain a public presence with unusual ease, aided by the years of performance memory shared with Chen Xing. Charm is not mind control and does not replace Psychic Song; it is a social advantage expressed through appearance, manner, and instinct, whereas his psychic techniques exert an actual supernatural influence on consciousness. • Chen Xing: Chen Xing first occupies Feidin's body without consent and suppresses him for five years. • Herlous: Herlous and Feidin are fellow veterans of the early mercenary group who survive the Noriosse fighting and remain senior figures as it becomes the Black Star Army.
