Jiang Lan's Realm
Jiang Lan's Realm is a three-layered spatial treasure created by Jiang Lan. Each layer is a vast living space with a different ratio between time inside and time outside, making the treasure a refuge, transport space, and training world rather than a conventional storage ring.
History
Acquisition, use, and later custody
Jiang Lan entrusts Qin Yu with a small green tower and tells him that opening all three layers is the test he must pass before being qualified to meet Li'er again. Qin Yu binds the treasure, opens the first layer after reaching the required power, and uses it to shelter companions, carry living residents and large objects, and compress long periods of training into shorter outside intervals. He opens the second layer after further bodily and energy advancement, then unlocks the third once his energy has transformed into Heavenly Divine Energy. (Chapters 303–555)
Opening a layer also activates an imprint through which Jiang Lan can learn of Qin Yu's progress and speak to him; the third imprint dissipates after its message. Once Qin Yu has created the stable New Cosmos, he no longer needs Jiang Lan's Realm and returns it to Jiang Lan. Jiang Lan accepts it after seeing that new world. Hei Yu continues training in the returned realm because its temporal environment remains useful to his Flowing Light Spear Path. (Chapters 556–559, 574)
Abilities and properties
- Its three layers provide time ratios of ten-to-one, one hundred-to-one, and one thousand-to-one respectively. A layer must be unlocked separately, and each later gate demands a higher level of energy from the controller. (Chapters 303, 352, 448, 549–555, 574)
- The realm can maintain living environments, shelter residents, alter local scenery, transport large quantities of matter, and serve as a defensible refuge. Its interior is much closer to an independent cosmic space than an ordinary storage artifact. (Chapters 352, 444)
- Its elemental energy is drawn from the outside environment rather than generated without limit. Its time acceleration also does not remove the cultivation requirements for opening later layers. (Chapters 303, 448, 549–555)
- Bai Ling, Hei Tong, Hei Yu, Hou Fei, Uncle Fu, and Wu Lan enter or reside in the realm as people under its controller's protection; their presence does not make them possessions of the artifact or owners of it.
