Biography
The Road South and the Fairy Realm
Cai’Er first meets Ling Chen as a cheerful young Fairy singing about her family and the natural world. When she treats the unfamiliar human as an intruder, her arrows and magic are dangerous enough that a direct hit could kill him. Ling Chen instead uses Moon Shadow to immobilize her and takes her through a teleportation effect, drawing the Fairy child into his journey beyond the hidden realm. (Chapters 244–246)
Calamity in the East Ocean Continent
While Ling Chen is abroad, Cai’Er remains with Yun Meng Xin and the peoples building the secret new city. She is the one who frantically warns Meng Xin that human players have appeared nearby, then obeys when told to hide rather than expose the settlement’s Fairy population. The Dew of Dusk she previously supplied also remains a valuable restorative resource in Ling Chen’s campaign. (Chapters 435–436, 463)
The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City
When Long Tian Yun’s army discovers the city, Cai’Er carries the warning between its leaders and her people. She joins the Fairies raising defensive walls of vines, contributes Dew of Dusk to sustain Su’Er’s exhausting formations, and urgently directs Ling Chen toward the collapsing defense when he returns. Her actions combine communication, logistical support, and Fairy magic in defense of the home the two hidden races built. (Chapters 542, 546, 576, 589)
The Underworld and the Forgotten City
The Underworld exposes a hard limit on Cai’Er’s power: as a Light-aligned Fairy, its deathly Darkness can endanger her even while her healing would help Ling Chen. When he finally summons her on the Path of Shadows, she is frightened and takes damage, yet her Nature’s Heart bolsters the group and her song supplies crucial support. Courage here means continuing to sing despite an environment that directly counters her nature. (Chapters 636, 641–643)
The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return
Cai’Er continues growing as a summoned companion, reaching level seventy before Ling Chen’s transformation resets her level. She nevertheless appears with Xiao Hui, Xi Ling, Leng’Er, and Snow Cherry when he calls them back. In the foul battlefield she complains and cries, but responds when Ling Chen orders her to sing, maintaining her familiar support role amid enemies far beyond an ordinary Fairy. The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing
After the apparent destruction of Earth, Ling Chen tentatively calls Cai’Er’s name and receives an answer: she emerges from jade-green light in front of him. Her return confirms that the bond through which he summons his companions still functions after the catastrophe. The scene does not give her power over Qi Xing; it instead restores one small, recognizable relationship while Ling Chen confronts loss on a planetary scale. (Chapter 823)
Xiya and the Perfect Moon
In the restored ending, Cai’Er remains attached to Ling Chen and appears when he summons her. Seeing the red certificates given to the women around him, she demands one too without understanding its legal or romantic significance, arguing that he should not favor the others. The moment preserves her childlike competitiveness and belonging while leaving her status that of a Fairy companion rather than an adult partner. (Chapters 847–848)
Appearance and personality
Cai’Er is a tiny, winged Fairy with a youthful face and an expressive voice. She is energetic, curious, easily frightened, and quick to announce what she wants. Her love of singing, flowers, insects, and her family gives her an innocent connection to nature, while her repeated warnings and support during crises show genuine loyalty beneath her childish manner. Fairy combat and nature magic
Cai’Er is introduced as a Celestial-grade Fairy capable of using both archery and magic. Her arrows are lethal to Ling Chen at their first meeting, and she later helps the Fairies create living walls of vines. Healing, enhancement, and song
Her strongest continuing contribution is support.
