Biography

Creation and the Great Qi reform project

Li Fan creates Li Ping as an autonomous proxy after deciding that his main body must remain hidden. The clone is refined from the essence blood of Sun Erlang and Wang Xuanba, with memories of [Truth] and the creator deliberately removed. He begins as a faceless humanoid at nominal Nascent Soul, carrying a rescue mission and moral principles but not an honest account of his origin. His belief that he arose from Xuanhuang’s crisis is implanted or self-constructed, not literal biography. (Chapter 1136)

Li Ping enters Great Qi, kills its tyrannical ruler, and establishes a new Holy Dynasty under the title Heavenly Mandate Holy Emperor. He does not limit reform to a palace coup. He promulgates cultivation, builds Holy Imperial Bases and Heaven-and-Earth furnaces, identifies useful talent, and reorganizes the state so mortals can become participants in survival rather than passive subjects of cultivator violence. Great Qi’s population becomes both his constituency and the source of the imperial fortune that magnifies his otherwise nominal realm. (Chapters 1137–1143)

To escape the limitations of the Immortal Ancestor’s cultivation order, Li Ping recruits Master Yin and supports research toward a further “new new method.” This collaboration makes technical experimentation part of state policy instead of a private cultivator’s secret. By the end of the founding period, the faceless proxy has become a solemn ruler with a program of his own: save Xuanhuang by changing how its people cultivate and organize. The creator still supplies knowledge remotely, but the Holy Emperor’s political responsibility already encourages independent judgment. (Chapters 1140–1145)

Recruitment, world expansion, and source-power infrastructure

Great Qi’s rapid development does not erase its disparity with the Immortal Alliance or Xuanhuang’s hidden peak experts. Li Ping therefore recruits people whose knowledge or authority can compensate for that weakness, including the Stars of Xuanhuang and Daoist Hundred Flowers. He uses True Immortal characters, Dao One, diplomacy, and intimidation to make stronger parties negotiate without pretending that his personal cultivation naturally equals theirs. Talent is treated both pedagogically, as something to cultivate, and politically, as an asset needed for collective survival. (Chapters 1161–1165)

His expansion reaches beyond the dynasty’s original world. Li Ping conquers or incorporates small worlds, prepares the Five Elements Great Cave Heaven for migration, and develops infrastructure capable of moving or preserving the Holy Dynasty. These actions materially improve Great Qi’s ability to survive catastrophe, yet they also reveal his authoritarian scale of judgment. Worlds and individuals may be coerced into the project when he believes fragmentation would leave everyone vulnerable. Popular welfare remains sincere, but consent becomes secondary to a civilizational calculation made from the throne. (Chapters 1187–1191; Chapters 1213–1214)

The You Clan’s vows and engineering help produce a Xuanhuang-wide source-power network. It stores essence generated through belief, supplies Holy Imperial Bases and formations, automatically defends and counterattacks, and gives Li Ping a route back to Great Qi while he remains elsewhere in Xuanhuang. The network transforms the dynasty from territory into an active power system. It also creates dependence: if Li Ping is separated from both Holy Dynasty fortune and stored source power, an ordinary Soul Transformation cultivator could kill his nominal Nascent Soul body. Consuming world wills and becoming an alternate Longevity being

Li Ping next seeks power rooted in Xuanhuang rather than borrowed only from subjects and infrastructure. He erases and devours the Congyun Sea world will, expanding his divine soul toward a world-scale perspective. When Qingfeng and a golden needle from the Heavenly Doctor threaten him, Xuanhuang’s Heavenly Dao temporarily lends authority that raises his battlefield capacity to half-step Longevity. The episode proves his unusual compatibility with the world, but the borrowed state recedes and does not constitute a permanent formal succession. (Chapters 1230–1233)

With Xu Ke and Master Yin supporting the operation, Li Ping employs a world-millstone formation to refine Xuanhuang’s evil thought. Absorbing hostile consciousness is not a clean increase in energy. Rage, mental pressure, and alien world-perspective strain the human identity he has chosen to preserve. He nevertheless judges the fragmented will too dangerous to remain autonomous and forces it into the same salvational project as Great Qi. The act embodies his central contradiction: protective responsibility expressed through uncompromising domination. (Chapters 1237–1238)

The refinement brings the Heavenly Emperor Qi Classic to its final layer and breaks a shackle in Li Ping’s existence. The narrative calls the result a different kind of Longevity Immortal, distinguishing it from the standard New Method route. This is his first persistent state beyond Soul Transformation-equivalent support; it should not be confused with the temporary Heavenly Dao loan of Chapter 1233. Li Ping retains his identity as a human Holy Emperor, but now carries absorbed world wills and a vastly enlarged soul within that self-definition. (Chapters 1238–1239)

Alliance of convenience with Mo Rubin

When the Immortal Alliance extracts power from the Dark Sea, Li Ping encounters Mo Rubin, a survivor whose Xuantian knowledge makes him too useful to dismiss and too dangerous to trust. Li Ping wants the extraction stopped, the ancient system understood, and—if possible—the independent expert redirected toward Great Qi. He therefore chooses contact over immediate suppression. Their cooperation begins from aligned interests rather than affection, with both men aware that the other may become an opponent once the shared obstacle is removed. (Chapters 1274–1275)

Li Ping travels and works with Mo Rubin through the Spirit Gathering Ascension Formation and the environment associated with a True Immortal corpse. The arrangement lets Great Qi acquire operational knowledge while interfering with the Alliance’s extraction. Li Ping’s statecraft is visible in the boundaries he sets: he can collaborate with a morally and metaphysically dangerous figure without adopting Mo Rubin’s cause or leaving the larger threat intact. The partnership is an instrument for a defined crisis, not evidence that either side has surrendered strategic independence. (Chapters 1276–1278)

Li Ping ultimately offers Mo Rubin a place in his longer campaign, but cannot secure his loyalty. Mo Rubin refuses recruitment and escapes, leaving Great Qi with knowledge and a disrupted enemy operation rather than a new subordinate. The outcome demonstrates a limit to the Holy Emperor’s expanding authority: even alternate-Longevity power, civilizational infrastructure, and a compelling shared danger cannot force every major actor into one polity. Li Ping nevertheless preserves the possibility that Mo Rubin’s independent path may later serve Xuanhuang’s survival. (Chapters 1278–1279)

Identity resolution and the war against the Immortal Ancestor

As Great Qi’s preparations become open war, Li Ping confronts the contradiction at the center of his identity. He knows he may be a created clone, yet the life he has lived as ruler cannot be reduced to a remote body’s instructions. He defines himself as the Incarnation of Heavenly Dao and Holy Emperor of Great Qi, without claiming the still-vacant position of Xuanhuang Great Celestial Venerable. His allegiance rests with the people and world for whom he accepted responsibility, even if that choice places him against the original creator’s future control. (Chapters 1287–1292)

Li Ping activates the Bright Moon Starlight formation, deploys transformed or infected spiritual energy, and coordinates Dao One with Great Qi’s stored Holy Heart source power. His body reaches thirty-three chi and the Starlight Holy Robe changes with it as he confronts the Immortal Ancestor. The conflict is fought through a civilization’s accumulated systems rather than one isolated technique. Tianyang and Cat Treasure act as trusted collaborators, while golden needles from the Heavenly Doctor demonstrate that a remote superior threat can still seal or interrupt the battlefield. The supplied continuous battle scene stops in Chapter 1300 without depicting Li Ping’s death or a final victory. A later retrospective statement from Li Fan establishes only that Li Ping severed the main body’s perception, making the clone’s independence irreversible while removing subsequent details from the viewpoint record. It would therefore be inaccurate to invent a final breakthrough, assign him the Great Celestial Venerable title, or claim a known outcome to the war. What is confirmed is that his imposed moral principles ultimately outweigh obedience to his creator. (Chapter 1300; Chapter 1303)

Appearance and personality

Li Ping is created as a faceless male humanoid rather than as a copy bearing Li Fan’s ordinary face. As his power develops, facial features can emerge through energetic change, but the text does not establish one stable everyday face. By Chapter 1290 he stands thirty-three chi tall and wears a transformed Starlight Holy Robe. Violet-gold and white starlight, imperial radiance, and golden dragon manifestations surround his mature authority, making a bright Great Qi civic or celestial setting more representative than a generic dark throne room. He is solemn, self-possessed, and pedagogical, with a genuine concern for ordinary people and a ruler’s habit of explaining purpose through institutions. That concern is paired with severe utilitarianism. Li Ping will coerce stronger parties, absorb hostile world wills, subordinate smaller worlds, and accept enormous risk when he believes Xuanhuang’s survival requires it. Strong moral settings do not make him compliant; they become the basis for resisting Li Fan and choosing a responsibility grounded in Great Qi’s lived history. Abilities and cultivation

Heavenly Emperor Qi Classic and Holy Dynasty fortune

Li Ping cultivates the Heavenly Emperor Qi Classic as Great Qi’s foundational imperial method. It fuses dynastic fortune and the collective force of the polity into the Holy Emperor, manifesting golden dragons, protective authority, and greatly magnified offense, defense, and formation control. At the fourth layer, this support lets him contend with perfected Soul Transformation power while his personal body remains nominally Nascent Soul. The distinction is essential: away from Great Qi’s fortune, and without source power, his survivability falls sharply. Refining Xuanhuang’s evil thought later brings the method to its final layer and supports his persistent alternate-Longevity state. (Chapters 1143; 1190; 1215; 1238–1239)

Source-power essence and vow network

Great Qi’s people—especially the You Clan—generate and engineer vow-derived source-power essence. Li Ping’s network stores and routes it through Holy Imperial Bases, forms golden constructs, feeds formations, automatically retaliates against threats, and can trace its Xuanhuang-wide connections to return him to the dynasty. He may draw reserves into his body, but this is infrastructure rather than wholly personal cultivation. Damage to the network, loss of believers, or exhaustion of stored Holy Heart power reduces what he can do. Its mature form remains a principal resource in the war of Chapters 1299–1300, where major techniques visibly consume accumulated reserves. (Chapters 1190–1191; 1215; 1299–1300)

Xuanhuang Heavenly Dao affinity and world-will refinement

Li Ping’s constructed mission, public beneficence, and chosen identity make him unusually compatible with Xuanhuang. He can borrow Heavenly Dao authority, mobilize world laws, and perceive from a world-scale perspective; formations then let him grind and absorb autonomous or hostile world consciousnesses. The Congyun Sea will enlarges his soul, while Xuanhuang’s evil thought interacts with the Heavenly Emperor Qi Classic to produce a persistent transformation. Borrowed authority can recede, and devoured wills cause overload, rage, and pressure on his humanity. Compatibility therefore neither removes the psychological cost nor proves formal inheritance of the Great Celestial Venerable position. (Chapters 1231–1233; 1237–1239; 1290–1291)

Formation, statecraft, and Dao One warfare

Li Ping combines knowledge inherited from Li Fan with Great Qi’s researchers, population, and industrialized cultivation. His systems include Holy Imperial Bases, relocation infrastructure, the world millstone, the Bright Moon Starlight formation, transformed spiritual-energy organisms, and a colossal manifestation supported by Dao One. Their strength lies in coordination: personnel, source power, dynasty fortune, and prepared formations turn state capacity into battlefield force. They are also preparation-heavy, material-intensive, and vulnerable to peak experts who can bypass or break individual components. Knowledge gained from Mo Rubin expands this toolkit, which reaches its fullest observed deployment against the Immortal Ancestor and Heavenly Doctor. Relationships

• Li Fan is Li Ping’s concealed creator and original source of knowledge. Li Ping is nevertheless a separate embodied person: his memories are edited at creation, his Great Qi experiences produce divergent agency, and he later severs the main body’s perception.
• Sun Erlang and Wang Xuanba provide the essence blood used to refine Li Ping. Both later serve the Holy Dynasty, connecting his body’s origin to the polity he builds.
• Master Yin is a crucial research collaborator in Great Qi’s effort to move beyond the Immortal Ancestor’s cultivation system and in the world-will refinement project.
• Xu Ke supports Li Ping’s later work with world wills and participates in the Holy Dynasty’s technical program.
• Mo Rubin is a wary ally of convenience. Li Ping values his Xuantian knowledge and attempts recruitment, but never secures his loyalty.
