Mu Yurou

Mu Yurou is the wife of Yun Qinghong, daughter of the Mu family's patriarch, and biological mother of Yun Che. Poisoned and separated from her newborn during the flight from the Profound Sky Continent, she spends more than twenty years raising Xiao Yun while mourning the child she believes lost. Her instinctive recognition of Yun Che and her refusal to make blood a competition allow two broken families to reunite as one.

Biography

Lost child and a crippled household

Mu Yurou accompanies Yun Qinghong during the catastrophe surrounding Yun Canghai and the Demon Emperor. Their newborn is poisoned while enemies pursue them, and Xiao Ying exchanges his own infant son for the dying child so Yun Che can be carried to safety. Mu Yurou returns to the Illusory Demon Realm without her son and with cold poison and ruined meridians, while Xiao Ying dies and Yun Che grows up under Xiao Lie's protection. She and Qinghong raise Xiao Ying's son as Yun Xiao, loving him without treating him as a temporary substitute. For more than twenty years the poisoned couple lose strength and political influence inside the Yun family. Yurou remains attentive to the clan's hostility and to her husband's strategy, but the household's private loyalty matters more to her than performing authority for elders who assume they are helpless. When Yun Che arrives with Yun Xiao, Yurou feels immediate and unsettling familiarity. She watches the stranger's manner and appearance, responds to his treatment with trust, and struggles to contain emotion before proof is complete. Yun Che removes the cold poison and repairs the couple's profound veins, allowing Yurou to conceal recovered Sovereign strength until the family crisis reaches its decisive moment. The Patriarch's Crest, Yun Canghai's remains, and the account of the infant exchange finally establish Yun Che's identity. Yurou embraces him without hesitation and mourns the years in which neither knew the other survived. Just as importantly, she does not withdraw motherhood from Xiao Yun. Both young men remain her sons, and Xiao Ying's sacrifice becomes the bond joining the Xiao, Yun, and Mu households rather than a reason to rank them. (Chapters 527–537)

Through Duke Huai's attempted coup and the restoration of the Little Demon Empress, Yurou supports Qinghong's plans and the recovered authority of the Yun family. Her role is less public than her husband's but not passive: she manages the household, restrains her impulsive brother Mu Yubai, and supplies the intimate understanding through which Qinghong endures the return of Yun Canghai's body and the truth of Xiao Ying's death. Farewell for the God Realm

Yurou gains only a brief period with Yun Che before the danger to his life requires travel to the God Realm. She accepts that her newly recovered son must again go somewhere she cannot protect him, because keeping him home would sacrifice his chance to survive. Her farewell carries the accumulated fear of the first separation but avoids turning maternal love into confinement. (Chapter 944)

She remains with Qinghong, Xiao Yun, and the united family while Yun Che enters the Snow Song Realm. The household preserves his place and receives news of his widening obligations through others, giving him a family identity separate from sect, star realm, or king-realm allegiance. Yurou's continued care for both sons also ensures that Yun Che's departure does not reopen the distinction between the child she bore and the child she raised. (Chapter 944)

Reunion and the hidden survival of Blue Pole Star

On Yun Che's return, Yurou meets Yun Wuxin, the granddaughter whose existence he only recently discovered. The reunion extends the recovered bloodline into another generation and brings Chu Yuechan into a household already shaped by unusual separations and adoptions. Yurou's welcome emphasizes family continuity rather than judgment over the circumstances that kept mother and child hidden. (Chapter 1374)

The Moon God Realm's attack later appears to annihilate Blue Pole Star and everyone visiting it. Yun Che believes Yurou, Qinghong, Wuxin, and both of his families have been killed. In reality, Shui Meiyin uses the World Piercer to exchange the planet before destruction, leaving Yurou alive while the world remains concealed. (Chapters 1499–1500)

Return of the Northern emperor

After the imperial war reveals Blue Pole Star's survival, Yurou reunites with a son transformed by grief and conquest. She receives Yun Che as her child rather than approaching him as the emperor who now commands the God Realm. That distinction helps restore the personal ties his belief in the planet's destruction had severed. (Chapter 1884)

Yurou settles into the protected Blue Pole Star household with Qinghong and the extended family. Her sons by birth and upbringing, their spouses, and Wuxin embody the family she once believed permanently broken. The political restoration of the Yun family matters, but it is secondary to this recovered domestic life. (Chapter 1884)

Later separation

During the Abyss period, Yurou remains alive on Blue Pole Star while Yun Che is again unable to return. She cannot intervene in the distant crisis and must endure another unexplained absence, though the family and protections around her are far stronger than during the original flight from the Profound Sky Continent. Her continuing role is that of a mother who refuses to let separation redefine kinship. She preserved love for a missing infant, raised another woman's child without reservation, and welcomed both when the truth emerged. That consistency leaves Yun Che a home whose acceptance does not depend on the identity or power he must assume elsewhere. (Chapter 1976)

Appearance and personality

Mu Yurou is a graceful middle-aged woman whose beauty remains evident after decades of poison and illness. Yun Che notices familiarity in her features before he knows the truth, while her recovered profound aura later reveals the Sovereign strength hidden beneath an invalid's outward condition. She is gentle, emotionally perceptive, and fiercely maternal. Yurou recognizes changes in Qinghong without requiring explanation and can rebuke Mu Yubai's impulsiveness without rejecting his loyalty. Her open grief contrasts with her husband's restraint, yet she is capable of keeping secrets and concealing recovery when the family's survival requires patience. (Chapters 506–515 and 527–532)

Abilities and cultivation

Yurou is a Sovereign Profound Realm cultivator and a daughter of one of the Illusory Demon Realm's Guardian Families. Cold poison and meridian damage suppress her strength for more than twenty years, but Yun Che's treatment restores both body and profound aura. She then removes the Profound Sealing Buckle and reveals recovered Sovereign power during the Yun family struggle. (Chapters 506–510 and 524–525)

Her combat ability is significant within the Illusory Demon Realm, although later divine-realm conflicts far exceed its scale. The scoped chapters do not establish a complete series of further formal advancements after recovery; family leadership and protection, rather than frontline warfare, remain her principal role.
