Urara Hoshino

Urara Hoshino is a Japanese Earthling and Level 7 Sicario recruited into Valhalla after serving as a scout in the Spirit Realm expedition. Her record of indiscriminate violence makes her dangerous even to allies, but Seol Jihu judges her expedition work useful enough to offer her a regulated place in his organization. (Chapters 140–149, 151, 153–154, 159, 161)

Biography

Release and recruitment

Urara is imprisoned after an indiscriminate massacre, then temporarily released because the Spirit Realm expedition needs her scouting ability. She guides the group, helps investigate the altered realm, and participates in clashes with multiple Army Commanders, although Vulgar Chastity’s charm incapacitates her during one encounter. Her successful contribution gives Seol a concrete reason to recruit her afterward, while Valhalla’s rules provide a structure for someone whose violence otherwise makes her difficult to employ. (Chapters 140, 143–149, 151, 153, 161)

Later service

Within Valhalla, Urara joins major operations because danger and novelty appeal to her rather than because the corpus establishes a conventional heroic motive. She scouts, fights in the final war, and survives into the postwar period. Her later presence on another demanding expedition shows continued trust in her field skills, but it does not erase her earlier crimes or demonstrate that her underlying temperament has fundamentally changed. (Chapters 161, 197, 200, 248, 253)

Appearance and personality

Urara is a small woman with a bleached bob haircut and a husky, hoarse voice. Her status record gives her age as twenty-five, height as 160.2 centimeters, and weight as 46.4 kilograms. It also describes her as maniacal, deranged, and intemperate. She seeks amusement and reacts enthusiastically to dangerous situations, making clear rules and supervision important when she operates with allies. (Chapters 140, 161)

Abilities and class

As a Level 7 Sicario on the Archer path, Urara specializes in scouting, stealth, agility, balance, and close-range attacks with twin daggers. She can materialize herself through shadows and sprint with mana, allowing sudden changes of position. Her ability to surprise powerful opponents reflects stealth and timing, not evidence that her raw strength equals an Army Commander’s. (Chapters 145, 161, 197)

Relationships

  • Seol Jihu: He authorizes her temporary release and later recruits her after evaluating her performance. (Chapters 140, 153, 161)
  • Kazuki Ayase: Both contribute scouting expertise during the Spirit Realm expedition. (Chapters 143–147)
  • Vulgar Chastity: Urara falls under the commander’s visual charm during the campaign, demonstrating a limit to her usual evasive role. (Chapter 149)

Items

Urara uses twin daggers, but the supplied corpus does not give them individual names or establish them as unique artifacts. (Chapters 145, 161)
