Xiao Jin

Xiao Jin is the calculating chief of Alumera's Xiao Faction and the biological father of the body inherited by Han Xiao. He advances from second-in-command to leader by turning Han's Black Phantom identity into political leverage. The relationship remains one of blood only in the body's history: Han rejects the original owner's family ties, while Xiao Jin formally raises him to the same family seniority as himself for strategic reasons.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Xiao Jin is first named as Alumera's second leader and later sends his foster son Xiao Rui to recover the missing Han Xiao, whom the family has connected to Zero. When Black Phantom visits Alumera, Xiao Jin favors negotiation, privately cultivates the dangerous guest, and helps expose the Raylen agent behind Darryl's assassination. He then recruits Black Phantom into the Xiao Faction as his formal peer, making his children address Han as “stepfather,” and uses Han's presence to overturn Se Qi's apparent electoral victory. Xiao Jin becomes Alumera's leader, though Han openly accuses him of having foreseen Darryl's murder and opportunistically allowing it to happen; that accusation remains Han's strongly held theory, not a confirmed confession. After Han's identities become public, Xiao Jin accepts a subordinate bargain: Alumera will fund transport infrastructure, move its stronghold populations and refugees into Sanctuary Three, and end its conflict with Lu Cheng. Appearance and personality

Xiao Jin is a well-dressed, muscular middle-aged man whose refined suit and gold-rimmed, chain-hung glasses make him resemble a scholar at first glance. He is controlled, pragmatic, ambitious, and difficult to read. His calm risk assessment contrasts with Darryl's temper, while his treatment of foster children as expendable tools and his willingness to exploit political violence reveal a cold, utilitarian streak. Abilities and class

No Super class or personal combat power is established for Xiao Jin. His demonstrated strengths are political analysis, faction-building, intelligence work, and negotiation. He judges when force would be counterproductive, identifies a Raylen contact connected to Darryl's killer, purchases Black Phantom's support, and adapts Alumera's future strategy when the Six Nations' victory threatens independent warlords. Relationships

• Han Xiao: Xiao Jin is the biological father of Han's original body, but Han does not accept that inherited bond. Xiao Jin later makes Black Phantom his formal peer inside the Xiao Faction, so the “stepfather” title used by Xiao Jin's children is a political seniority device, not a change in biological parentage. • Xiao Hai: Xiao Hai is Xiao Jin's elder biological son and intended successor. Xiao Jin protects his political position but also orders him to submit to Han's formal seniority.
