Se Qi

Se Qi is a Sharnuk political leader who serves as Alumera's third-in-command and heads its Red Island Faction. He first counsels restraint toward Han Xiao, then competes for Alumera's vacant leadership through a covert political bargain.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Se Qi enters the dispute over Han Xiao's arrival as Alumera's Third Chair and urges Darryl not to attack an opponent whose confidence implies powerful backing. When Han is framed for murder, Se Qi reasons that a man capable of killing the assembled leaders would have no need to deny the crime; he restrains Alumera Lagos and supports surveillance rather than immediate retaliation. Darryl's assassination then opens a struggle for succession, and Se Qi's caution gives way to ambition. He secretly bargains with a Theseus major general, promising future benefits in return for support, and initially appears likely to win the leadership vote. Han intimidates the officials into switching their support to Xiao Jin, leaving Se Qi too frightened to object. He remains alive and in charge of the Red Island Faction by Chapter 251, when his faction still opposes Xiao Jin's leadership and he personally visits the new leader; the corpus does not establish what happens to him afterward. (Chapters 202–212 and 251)

Appearance and personality

Se Qi is a Sharnuk described as a huge man with dark skin. His early advice is restrained and perceptive: he recognizes the danger of provoking Han Xiao and sees that the murder accusation does not fit Han's conduct. That prudence coexists with political ambition and opportunism. Once the succession becomes available, he seeks outside backing through a private exchange of favors and shows satisfaction at his apparent advantage. His confidence is conditional, however, and disappears when Han directly pressures the election. (Chapters 202–212)

Abilities and class

The supplied corpus does not establish a Super class, grade, or named combat ability for Se Qi. His demonstrated capabilities are political: he leads one of Alumera's principal internal factions, influences senior decision-making, restrains an impulsive subordinate, reads an opponent's incentives, and builds enough support to contend for overall leadership. His failed bargain also defines the limits of that influence, since the officials abandon him when Han Xiao applies direct intimidation. (Chapters 202–212)
