Glade

Biography

Entrance-test rivalries and a new circle

Glade meets Angy during the MBO entrance test as a green-skinned candidate willing to return a handshake and introduce herself without ceremony. She quickly becomes part of the cluster around Gustav Oslov, Teemee, Ria, and the other successful candidates. Her high scores and A-grade bloodline place her among the cohort's strongest entrants, while her sharp banter with Ria establishes a competitive, confrontational social style rather than quiet deference to stronger personalities. (Chapters 182, 207, 215, 219–230)

Her combat performance supports that confidence. Glade uses her tail as an additional limb and conjures red sickles and massive structures, scoring highly in the entrance-test assessment and later placing among the strongest first-year special-class cadets. She and Teemee display closely related red energy signatures without yet understanding why their techniques differ. At this stage their sibling connection is expressed through proximity, shared competitiveness, and similar endurance ceilings rather than an explained lineage mechanism. (Chapters 207, 404, 482)

At camp, Glade's abrasive humor coexists with genuine affection. She hugs Angy and rubs her hair when the group reunites, defends the effort she and the others made to help her, and reacts with immediate hostility toward Endric because of what he had done to Angy. These choices show a teammate whose loyalty is personal and protective, which later makes her betrayal especially destructive: the people she deceives do not regard her as a distant colleague, but as part of their trusted circle. (Chapters 340, 601, 640, 709)

Informant, exposure, and the destruction of agency

When the group is assigned to help locate the fugitive Gustav, Glade covertly acts as the MBO's “green asset.” She questions Vera's ability to sense Gustav, then privately reports the search areas, the group's assumptions, and the likelihood that Gustav will revisit crime scenes. Her unseen contact promises a bonus. Glade is uneasy after Angy insists that she, of all people, is likely to betray Gustav, but she rationalizes the reporting as protecting herself and tells herself that the MBO may not catch him. The supplied text does not establish coercion before this choice; it presents secrecy, self-interest, and an official information channel, while leaving any deeper motive unexplained. (Chapters 771, 773–774)

Once Miss Aimee exposes the leak, Glade refuses to identify her handler and says only that she did what she “had to.” Angy experiences the disclosure as the collapse of a friendship and attacks her with near-lethal speed and force. Glade attempts to defend herself with conjured sickles but is overwhelmed, mutilated across the city, and saved from the final blow when Gustav intervenes. That intervention is not forgiveness: Gustav says he would have preferred to use her as a channel for false information and treats her survival as a temporary opportunity rather than reconciliation. (Chapters 792–797)

What follows removes the basis for attributing later decisions to the original Glade. On Gustav's instruction, Vera had implanted a parasitic strain while Glade recovered. When it activates, the parasites consume Glade's consciousness, retain her memories, mimic her personality, and make the replacement consciousness Vera's puppet. A verbal trigger, “Code I.R,” makes her obey Gustav without resistance; his demonstration orders her to mutilate herself, and he declares that continued life will mean permanent control and repeated torture. The team later describes her as “practically a slave.” Although the outward Glade continues speaking and fighting, the corpus does not show her original consciousness returning or her control being released before her death. (Chapters 817, 830–831, 1089)

Missions, selection, and the sibling inheritance

Under that imposed state, Glade remains with the group on MBO and cosmic missions. She contributes to planning, fights beside former friends, and trains for the Intergalactic Youngsters Show of Power, but this continued participation cannot be read as proof of forgiven betrayal or freely renewed loyalty. She is explicitly at peak Falcon rank during the selection and places fourteenth in the final result, one place above Teemee, earning a main-team slot even while the others openly tolerate rather than trust her. (Chapters 1016, 1028–1089)

The Oasis reveals that Glade and Teemee inherited complementary expressions of the same power. In a shared predecessor realm, Glade identifies her specialization as creating controllable weapons and structures from red energy, while Teemee describes accelerating time through touch and movement. Their predecessors point out common red energy, shared speed, and latent overlap: Teemee has created energy weapons, and Glade has absorbed another person's energy. Both unlock hidden potential, and by leaving the Oasis no member of their group is below second-step Kilo rank. Their argument over how to divide the newly available techniques preserves their competitive sibling dynamic even as they finally learn that their powers belong to one lineage. (Chapters 1140–1144)

At IYSOP, Glade's construct-making and physical aggression remain useful to a team built around coordinated challenges rather than individual duels. She can shape tools and defenses, evade large-scale hazards, and help the group collect and protect objectives. Her impatience with restrictions—she would rather break obstacles than merely avoid them—also exposes a tactical limitation in temperament, prompting Aildris and Gustav to emphasize that not every contest can be won by direct force. She and Teemee nevertheless operate as a persistent sibling pair, comparing performance, exchanging insults, and interpreting many tournament threats through what they can accomplish together. (Chapters 1162–1209)

A compelled last act at IYSOP

The sibling bond becomes decisive when Orimon attacks Teemee with a regenerating magenta spear. After Gustav intercepts the first strike and appears to die, his last command is “Code I.R: Protect Teemee at the cost of your life.” Glade's eyes turn listless. She places her hands on Teemee and transfers bloodline energy into him, allowing their mixed energy to repair his time-decay cocoon and age the spear until it vanishes. This collaboration demonstrates the functional unity of their bloodline halves, but Glade's participation is explicitly triggered by the puppet code rather than freely chosen. (Chapters 1293–1294)

The spear regenerates at full strength. Glade moves in front of Teemee, is impaled first, and remains pinned to him as the attack kills them both. Her last explanation—“It was master's order”—again makes the absence of consent explicit. The act delays the weapon and materially attempts to protect her brother, but it should not be romanticized as an autonomous sacrifice. Immediately afterward, Gustav extracts Crimson Matter from both bodies; the System identifies them as two halves of one bloodline, and their deaths force Earth to replace both siblings for the tournament final. (Chapters 1294–1295, 1310, 1313)

Restoration beyond the tournament

Glade remains dead through the remainder of the original IYSOP sequence. Near the endpoint, Gustav reconstructs the ruined universe and restores every non-deity being, including lives, memories, and genetic patterns. The narration does not isolate Glade's resurrection scene or describe whether the parasitic replacement survives that reconstruction, so her post-restoration mental autonomy cannot be assumed from the universal mechanism alone. (Chapter 1681)

She is, however, explicitly present with Teemee among the friends attending E.E and Elevora's wedding. This confirms that both siblings are physically alive again and reintegrated into the surviving social circle. Glade demonstrates no bloodline technique after restoration, leaving her current Crimson Matter access and the fate of Code I.R untested at the supplied endpoint. (Chapter 1687)

Appearance and personality

Glade is a green-skinned young woman with a long brown, whip-like tail that can extend and grasp objects. Red energy surrounds her when her bloodline is active, and her eyes can glow red during combat. After later training she is described as more muscular, consistent with her preference for close, forceful fighting. The corpus does not provide a stable hair description or a detailed post-restoration appearance. (Chapters 182, 207, 792, 830)

Before the parasitic takeover, Glade is blunt, proud, competitive, and quick to answer teasing with sharper insults. She can also be affectionate and protective, especially toward Angy and her brother, and she takes pride in belonging among the cohort's strongest fighters. Her decision to inform on Gustav reveals a self-protective and secretive side that conflicts with those loyalties; she shows guilt and rationalizes the act, but does not withdraw from it before discovery. After Chapter 831, apparent personality continuity is manufactured by parasites retaining her memories and mimicking her character. Later jokes, anger, obedience, and even the final attempt to shield Teemee therefore cannot safely be treated as evidence of the original Glade's free development. (Chapters 219–230, 340, 601, 640, 773–774, 830–831)

Bloodlines and abilities

Crimson Matter

Glade possesses an A-grade bloodline later named Crimson Matter. Her expression converts bloodline energy into solid-looking red weapons and structures that she can direct at range. Early applications include paired sickles capable of cutting through combat machines, thrown or guided blades, and an enormous cylindrical or hammer-like construct whose impact destroys a wide area. Larger creations demand substantially more energy: her entrance-test large-scale strike leaves her visibly fatigued, and later endurance trials show that her output is not unlimited. The constructs can also be intercepted, dodged, or prevented from forming effectively when a faster opponent denies her space, as Angy does during their fight. (Chapters 207, 215, 482, 792–794)

The Oasis establishes that construct-making is one specialization within a broader inherited power. Glade describes creating weapons and structures that she can easily control; the predecessors reveal that she has also absorbed another person's energy and shares speed characteristics with Teemee. Because only one bearer was meant to possess Crimson Matter in a generation, the siblings' proximity prevents either from unlocking its complete potential; each can instead unlock a different half of the available techniques. The corpus does not enumerate every technique Glade receives there, so it is unsafe to assign her all of Teemee's time-acceleration abilities. Her latest personally demonstrated interaction is energy transfer: by placing her hands on Teemee, she feeds her bloodline energy into his time-decay cocoon, strengthening and repairing it. (Chapters 1140–1144, 1294)

After both siblings die, Gustav's System names each extracted half Crimson Matter and states that they are two instances of the same bloodline rather than two powers being combined. The later explanation that they are “sides of the same coin” clarifies their compatibility: Glade's construct-and-energy expression and Teemee's temporal decay are complementary access patterns. That revelation belongs to the bloodline's mechanics, not to a posthumous advancement Glade experienced herself. After universal restoration, she is alive but does not demonstrate whether all predecessor-unlocked techniques remain accessible. (Chapters 1295, 1310, 1681, 1687)

Tail and physical combat

Glade's tail functions like an additional arm: it can extend, seize targets or supports, and assist her balance and close-quarters movement. Combined with an increasingly muscular physique, it lets her fight while both hands hold conjured weapons and gives her an unconventional angle for grappling or repositioning. The corpus associates the tail with her overall combat kit but does not explicitly identify whether it is a separate bloodline, a mutation, or part of Crimson Matter. Its reach limit and post-restoration condition are not specified. (Chapters 207, 830)

Parasitic control and Code I.R

Vera's parasitic strain is not Glade's power. It is an externally imposed state that consumes her consciousness and replaces it with parasites carrying her memories and outward personality. Vera can perceive and control the replacement's thoughts and actions, while Gustav's programmed phrase “Code I.R” overrides ordinary behavior and compels immediate obedience even through severe pain or certain death. The state defeats Glade by changing who controls her abilities rather than increasing their inherent strength. No resistance, duration limit, or release condition is demonstrated before her death, and the universal restoration does not explicitly resolve whether the parasites or original consciousness return. (Chapters 830–831, 1089, 1294, 1681–1687)

Power progression

Stage / Realm / AbilityChapter(s)Notes
A-grade bloodline215Glade is explicitly identified as possessing an A-grade bloodline; its name is confirmed later as Crimson Matter.
Parasitic puppet state831Vera's implanted strain has consumed Glade's consciousness; Code I.R gives Gustav compulsory control, so this is a loss of autonomy rather than a power gain.
Peak Falcon rank1068Glade is explicitly included among the group members still at peak Falcon during Earth-team selection.
Crimson Matter predecessor awakening1140–1144Glade meets the shared lineage's predecessors, learns that her and Teemee's powers are complementary, and unlocks otherwise hidden bloodline potential.
At least second-step Kilo rank1144After the Oasis training, Gustav observes that nobody in the group is below Kilo rank's second step; Glade's exact step above that floor is not stated.
Death under Code I.R1294A compulsory order makes Glade protect Teemee at the cost of her life; Orimon's spear kills both siblings.
Universal restoration1681–1687Gustav restores non-deity life throughout the universe, and Glade is later present alive; her post-restoration power access and mental autonomy are not demonstrated.

Relationships

Teemee

Teemee is Glade's brother, training peer, habitual rival, and the complementary bearer of Crimson Matter. They trade insults and compete over scores and techniques, yet remain paired through camp, missions, and IYSOP. The Oasis reveals why their red energies and latent skills overlap, while their final joint defense shows their halves can combine energy to empower Teemee's time-decay field. Glade dies in front of him because Gustav's code compels her to intercept the spear; their shared death later lets Gustav discover the bloodline's two-half structure. Both are restored and attend E.E and Elevora's wedding together. (Chapters 207–230, 482, 1140–1144, 1203–1206, 1293–1295, 1687)

Angy

Angy is Glade's earliest close friend in the cohort. Their handshake grows into affectionate reunions and mutual concern, which is why Angy experiences the covert informing as personal betrayal rather than a mere mission violation. Angy's nearly fatal attack ends the friendship as it existed, and subsequent co-presence occurs after Glade's consciousness has been replaced. The corpus does not provide a free, post-restoration reconciliation between them. (Chapters 182, 340, 601, 709, 773–794, 1681–1687)

Gustav Oslov

Gustav initially accepts Glade within his candidate circle and later becomes the subject of her secret reporting. After exposing her, he chooses exploitation over execution: he orders Vera's parasitic takeover, uses Code I.R to compel obedience, and plans to feed misinformation through her. His final order directly causes her to expend her life protecting Teemee. Gustav later acquires both Crimson Matter halves from the siblings' bodies and ultimately restores the universe, bringing Glade back to life. Their relationship is therefore defined less by mentorship or loyalty than by betrayal, punitive domination, instrumental use, death, and an unresolved restoration. (Chapters 182–287, 763–831, 1294–1310, 1681–1687)

Vera

Vera is first the teammate Glade targets with suspicion while secretly seeking information about Gustav's location. After Glade is exposed, Vera implants the parasitic strain that consumes her consciousness and becomes the direct controller of the replacement mind. Although Gustav installs and uses the verbal command, Vera is the source and continuing operator of the control mechanism. No later chapter establishes that she releases Glade. (Chapters 771–774, 817, 830–831)

The Earth team

Glade earns her place among Earth's strongest young officers through entrance-test, camp, and IYSOP performance. Her betrayal destroys the team's trust, but her puppet state leads them to tolerate her continued presence and her fourteenth-place selection keeps her on the main tournament roster. Her death and Teemee's remove both siblings before the final, forcing substitutes into a group that had relied on their complementary capabilities. Her presence at the later wedding confirms social reintegration at the endpoint, but not how the others understand her agency or culpability after restoration. (Chapters 404–482, 792–831, 1089, 1140–1313, 1687)

Items

Glade uses MBO communications and mission equipment, including the covert mind-communication device through which she reports as the “green asset.” Her red sickles and larger structures are manifestations of Crimson Matter rather than carried items. No unique named personal item is established for her in the supplied corpus. (Chapters 763, 773, 792–794)
