Biography

Early role and commitments

Cecilia's first life begins around the same orphanage as Grey and Nico Sever. Her immense ki capacity erupts in accidents she cannot reliably control, frightening other children and isolating her until the two boys become her friends. Grey approaches her as someone who needs companionship rather than a weapon to study, while Nico's care gradually becomes love. Cecilia wants the safety and ordinary belonging they create, but her power makes privacy impossible. Authorities identify her as the Legacy, a person whose potential exceeds normal fighters, and the attention that follows turns every relationship into leverage against her. (Chapters 141, 146, and 153)

Training and government control harden Cecilia without giving her real freedom. Testing, surveillance, and pressure focus on the size and possible inheritance of her ki rather than on what she wants to do with it. Vera and the institutions around the King's Crown tournament shape what Grey believes, while Nico discovers enough of the coercion to understand that Cecilia is being forced. Threats against him become the decisive restraint on her choices. Cecilia hides parts of the danger from both boys, not because she trusts her handlers, but because resistance could make Nico the immediate victim of power meant to control her. During the tournament match against Grey, Cecilia chooses death as the only escape she believes will also release Nico from being used against her. She directs Grey's sword into herself while making the act appear to be his victory. Grey does not understand her intention and carries the killing as a defining trauma; Nico sees only that his closest friend has murdered the woman he loves. Later recovered memories reveal Cecilia's agency without making the decision free in any ordinary sense. It is a self-sacrifice produced by coercion, and its consequences divide the surviving boys long after her first life ends. (Chapters 179, 195, 225, 231, and 242)

Agrona Vritra later reincarnates Cecilia into the body of Tessia Eralith, whose consciousness and beast will remain present beneath the imposed identity. Cecilia awakens disoriented by an unfamiliar face, runes, mana core, and memories that do not fit. Agrona and Nico present themselves as rescuers and give her an altered account in which Grey is the central betrayer. She learns mana with extraordinary speed, fights for Agrona, participates in the Victoriad crisis, and heals Nico's damaged core. Contradictory memories, physical recoil around Nico, and Tessia's internal resistance nevertheless begin exposing gaps in the story she has accepted. Later conflict and consequences

Cecilia continues serving Agrona because he promises a future with Nico and because her edited memories make his enemies appear responsible for their suffering. She attacks Seris Vritra's rebellion, absorbs mana from its defenses, and treats the dominion as another obstacle to the life she has been promised. Seris turns the confrontation into a broadcast about Agrona's exploitation, while Tessia presses against Cecilia from within. Cecilia's power wins access to Orlaeth's mana but cannot prevent doubt: Nico reacts uneasily, Seris addresses Alacryans rather than flattering the Legacy, and the body she controls continues carrying loyalties and responses that are not hers. Reaching Integration makes Cecilia even more dangerous while intensifying the conflict over identity and purpose. When she recovers the true tournament memory—that she directed Grey's blade into herself to free Nico—she knowingly withholds it because she fears Nico remains controlled. She later invokes the false claim that Grey murdered her to stop Nico hearing Arthur, and admits the concealment after Arthur exposes it. Agrona first manipulated Cecilia's memory, but she then deliberately preserves Nico's false belief to protect the promised path home. Her development must therefore confront not only what was done to her, but the way fear leads her to manipulate the person she loves. (Chapters 422 and 449–453)

Agrona, Cecilia, and Nico leave Taegrin Caelum by tempus warp, and their decisive confrontation occurs in Sylvia's cave in Dicathen. There Agrona fatally impales Nico, who breathes his last before his essence follows Cecilia's Fate-thread toward Earth. Cecilia refuses Agrona's command while Tessia reaches outward as a separate will: Tessia's vines restrain him, and Cecilia resists the bindings imposed on her. Arthur uses Fate to unwind the relevant connections and end Agrona's control. Cecilia's rejection matters, but it does not entitle her to keep Tessia's body; release requires ending the occupation of another person's life as well as Agrona's claim over her own. Cecilia and Nico ultimately awaken on Earth in lives and bodies of their own, with an ordinary shared history that does not erase the recorded events of their first lives. Cecilia retains troubling flashes of the reincarnation conflict and understands that the new existence has been written around the simple future she once wanted. She is no longer the Legacy, has no ki or mana, and works as a headmaster connected to the kind of home that once protected her. The ending does not make trauma vanish, but it grants what both prior lives denied: a future with Nico that does not require possession of Tessia, service to Agrona, or power valuable enough to invite another ruler's control. Appearance and personality

In her first life, Cecilia is a human orphan and tournament student identified primarily by the extraordinary ki housed within an otherwise mortal body. After reincarnation, she inhabits Tessia's slender elven body, with fair skin, gunmetal hair, teal eyes, pointed ears, and runes added under Agrona's supervision. Those features remain Tessia's body rather than proof that Cecilia and Tessia are the same person. In the final Earth life, Cecilia has a body of her own again, including long ashen-brown hair, and explicitly distinguishes that appearance from the silver-gray hair of the vessel she once occupied. Cecilia is initially guarded, lonely, and desperate for an ordinary place beside the few people she trusts. Coercion teaches her to conceal fear and make catastrophic choices alone, while reincarnation magnifies her dependence on the explanations supplied by Nico and Agrona. She can be curious about mana, awed by freedom of movement, tender toward Nico, and defensive when evidence threatens the promised life built around him. Her later agency develops through doubt rather than immediate clarity. She must admit that love has been manipulated, that power does not make her informed, and that Tessia's resistance is the claim of another person rather than an obstacle within Cecilia's own body. • Nico Sever: Nico is Cecilia's childhood friend, beloved, and the person authorities use most effectively to control her. She dies partly to release him from that coercion, while he spends another life pursuing a reunion built on a false understanding of her death. After reincarnation, his devotion comforts her, but she later conceals the recovered truth of her suicide and reinforces his false blame of Grey to preserve their promised return. Their final Earth life grants partnership only after Cecilia confronts that choice and both leave the imposed reincarnation arrangement. (Chapters 141, 153, 160, 163, 225, 231, 242, 348–380, 402–433, 449–490)
• Arthur Leywin: Arthur carries the reincarnated identity of Grey, Cecilia's childhood friend and the unwitting instrument of her first death. Agrona's manipulation recasts him as a deliberate murderer, making him the traumatic foil around which Cecilia's second-life loyalty is organized. As memories return, she recognizes the coercion and misunderstanding behind their history. Arthur ultimately uses Fate to end Agrona's claim over the Legacy and separates the crisis without forcing Cecilia to remain in Tessia's body. • Tessia Eralith: Tessia is Cecilia's unwilling vessel, not an alias or merged identity. Her body, mana core, beast will, relationships, and residual consciousness persist after Cecilia is placed within her. Tessia resists from inside, influences physical and emotional responses, and eventually acts distinctly beside Cecilia against Agrona. Cecilia's freedom cannot be completed by suppressing Tessia; the resolution must release both women from the imposed arrangement. (Chapters 348, 361, 368, 378–380, 402–433, 449–453, and 467–489)
• Agrona Vritra: Agrona reincarnates Cecilia, alters or suppresses her memories, isolates her, and promises a return home with Nico in exchange for service. He presents himself as benefactor while developing the Legacy as a weapon against asuras. Cecilia initially cooperates because the information available to her makes that bargain seem real. Contradictions, recovered memory, and his treatment of Nico finally expose that dependency as control, leading her to resist him during the Fate confrontation. • Vera: Vera is central to the manipulation surrounding Cecilia's first life. Her influence over Grey and connection to the tournament help keep Cecilia, Grey, and Nico from sharing enough truth to act together. Cecilia's apparent death succeeds partly because the people around the match misunderstand the pressures determining it, leaving Vera's version of events to shape the survivors. • Ji-ae: Ji-ae is connected to Agrona's reincarnation work and preserves knowledge concerning Cecilia's memories and the mechanisms used around the Legacy. Their later interaction helps place Cecilia's experience within a larger system of manipulation rather than treating every missing memory as personal confusion. Ji-ae's perspective also contributes to the final confrontation in which Fate makes the bonds among Agrona, Cecilia, Nico, and Tessia visible. (Chapters 480, 485, 488, and 489)

Mana, aether, and abilities

Cecilia's title as the Legacy refers to exceptional potential that crosses her reincarnations: first as unmatched ki capacity, later as extraordinary authority over mana. She does not develop a personal aether art. Her final interaction with Fate occurs through Arthur's use of Fate and the reincarnation system around her, not through an aether core or godrune belonging to Cecilia.

Ki capacity and control

In her first life, Cecilia possesses a ki pool and growth potential far beyond ordinary fighters. Even as a child, uncontrolled releases can shake buildings or injure people nearby; formal training eventually turns that capacity into tournament-level technique. The same power makes her a target for testing and political ownership. Large reserves do not protect her from surveillance, threats, or manipulated information, and early instability means power can isolate her before she understands how to direct it. Her deliberate death demonstrates the central limitation of the Legacy's first form: unmatched ki cannot create freedom when institutions control everyone she is trying to protect. Multi-elemental mana absorption and control

Within Tessia's body, Cecilia learns to perceive, gather, shape, and absorb multiple forms of mana with exceptional speed. She creates storms, ice, wind, lightning, and intricate elemental constructs; flies; drains spells and cores; suppresses other mages' access; and redirects power that remains under another being's control. She also uses the Legacy's authority over mana to repair Nico's damaged core. Absorption has practical limits: a vessel and core can be strained, unfamiliar magic requires interpretation, and taking in immense or corrupted reserves can overwhelm judgment or control. Her versatility is real, but it develops inside a body, beast will, and political situation she does not fully understand. (Chapters 348, 361, 368, 378–380, 402, 408, 412, 418, 421–422, and 433)

Integration and the limits of the vessel

Cecilia eventually reaches Integration, changing her relationship to mana beyond the ordinary core stages and allowing her to command or deny ambient power on a far greater scale. She can threaten Scythes, Wraiths, and asuras by consuming their spells or severing their access, but Integration does not resolve the conflict with Tessia or make Cecilia immune to manipulation. The vessel retains a distinct will, Agrona still controls information and fate-bound leverage, and Cecilia's incomplete understanding leaves her vulnerable to plans that use her output without her informed consent. Her strongest development is therefore the decision to resist Agrona and relinquish Tessia's body, not another increase in destructive capacity. (Chapters 449–453, 467–472, and 480–489)

• Elderwood Guardian core: The core and beast will belong to Tessia's history and body, not Cecilia's first life. Cecilia senses the other will inside the mana core after reincarnation and experiences its resistance alongside Tessia's consciousness. Agrona's runes help suppress that resistance, but they do not transform the Elderwood Guardian's legacy into an artifact Cecilia personally acquired. (Chapters 348, 361, 368, 402, and 412)
• Reincarnation and suppression runes: Agrona's runes cover Tessia's body after Cecilia is placed within it. They help stabilize Cecilia's imposed identity, support control of the vessel, and suppress disruptive memories or internal resistance. The markings are part of Agrona's reincarnation procedure rather than a voluntary possession or a source of the Legacy's original potential. (Chapters 348, 361, 368, 402, 408, and 412)
• Training weapons: Cecilia uses weapons during her first-life instruction and tournament career, including the match in which she directs Grey's blade into herself. No single personal weapon is established as the source of her ki or as a lasting signature item; the decisive sword belongs to Grey's side of the fatal exchange.
