Ji-ae
Ji-ae is an ancient djinn intelligence housed within a crystalline interface and connected to Agrona's reincarnation work, the Relictombs, and the final restructuring of the worlds.
Biography
Recorded appearances
Ji-ae first appears through a crystalline housing and rotating system, explaining parts of the reincarnation and Fate structure while still constrained by Agrona Vritra's systems and directives. Agrona's final contingencies damage her power source after his death, leaving only moments to preserve the Relictombs and respond to Epheotus's descent. She chooses continued action, calculates possible solutions, and accepts transfer into Tessia Eralith's available mental space so the work can continue. Through that shared connection, Ji-ae supplies the calculations Arthur, Sylvie, Regis, and Tessia need to relocate the Relictombs and Epheotus without total destruction. Her housing is later restored, allowing her to return to custodial purpose. (Chapters 485, 488, 516–517, 527, 529, and 533–535)
Appearance and personality
Ji-ae has no ordinary biological appearance in the supplied scenes. She manifests as a disembodied voice or consciousness connected to a lavender crystal and orbiting stone rings; her behavior is precise, directive, and increasingly self-sacrificial under system failure. (Chapters 485, 517, and 533–535)
Relationships
- Agrona Vritra: Uses and constrains Ji-ae within ancient systems; a hidden contingency tied to his death damages her network. (Chapters 485, 517, and 533)
- Arthur Leywin and Tessia Eralith: Arthur requests her calculations, while Tessia voluntarily serves as temporary organic housing and mental conduit. (Chapters 533–535)
Mana, aether, and abilities
Ji-ae provides projections, knowledge, system control, and calculations spanning space, time, physical restructuring, and the Relictombs network. Her capabilities depend on housing, power, and intact connections; organic housing strains Tessia, and damage can make Ji-ae stutter, fade, or lose function. Her exact ontological status remains partly ambiguous. (Chapters 485, 516–517, and 533–535)
Items
- Crystalline housing: Interface of lavender crystal and orbiting rune-carved stones that contains and connects Ji-ae. It is her housing rather than ordinary personal property and falls outside the generated item scope. (Chapters 485, 517, and 533–535)
